The lights of the city were alive and roaring, the streets were, as usual, over flowing with cars. Lillie had a car, she never used it anymore, there wasn’t a point. She doesn’t mind walking around town anymore. She wishes she could see the sun again though, just see it gleaming off of the side of a tall sky scrapper. Shining and playing on the sides of the other buildings surrounding it. Trapped, but free at the same time. Time square, home to one of the largest New Years Eve celebrations, but it was not anywhere near New Years tonight. This evening was a little chilly, mid august, when the leaves begin to change, not that you can really see too many of those in the city anywhere except Central Park. Lillie had just finished at the blood bank, she was full, content and happy. She just was bored, and wandering the streets of New York for no real rhyme or reason. Just to walk really. Her mind was going over her trip to Vegas not too long ago, and Alex. He was somewhere in this big city, but she wasn’t going to contact him till he contacted her. That was just how she worked now. Lillie walked with the swarm of humans, just walking. Happy to have a day off, to get away from the club and the bar. She just needed some fresh air and company with people other than those she would meet at the bar. She really needed better friends than the regulars that hung out and around Kalina’s place. Though she could call Melody and hang out with her, she didn’t want to disturb the girls studies. She herself had given up this semester and would probably re enroll the following semester. If she really tried she might actually graduate, but she didn’t know if it was worth it anymore. Why bother, right? She frowned to herself and then quickly made her way to the side of the sidewalk and leaned against a building, she needed to stop, and think. She needed to stop worrying about things that were beyond her control. Yeah, she’s a vampire now, yeah, she doesn’t really have any future in anything right now. She suddenly wanted to cry so badly her eyes began to sting, but she calmed down quickly and got a hold of herself before any water works started. She leaned her head back against the brick wall of the building her body was pressed to. Her brown hair getting caught in the brick, she knew her sweater that covered her red top would get pulls in it now, but she didn’t really care. Her mind was on other things besides ruining some crappy sweater. She sighed and adjusted her purse some and then lowered her eyes again to street level….. Sweat dripped from his brow despite the cool chill of the evening air. the rhythmic thud of his running shoes hitting the pavement was drowned out my his Ipod. He was listening to Eminiem - Till I Collapse. It was a great running song, and although it wasn't in German, he loved it. the humidity was so great that it almost made him feel as if he were breathing in water. The people on the street passed by without a second look, he was just another guy, running down the street. He loved the anonymity that he received in New York. No one even knew who he was, not a fan in site, though he loved his fans dearly. He was in need a break during the off season, and this is where he came. He thoroughly enjoyed it here. Most Americans knew nothing of international Football, or Soccer as they call it, making his life much easier when it came to being out and about.
When he turned down main street, he caught the scent of a Vampire. She was young, rather sad and alone. The scent intrigued him, so he followed it. Lukas had no problem with Vampires like most of his kind did, for he was a lone wolf. They had done nothing to him, and he had done nothing to them. This one smelled as if she were sad, and not prejudice towards Wolves, though sometimes you really couldn't tell, they sometimes surprised even the most cautious Wolf.
He kept his pace at a nice steady jog, he was coming very close now, her scent was getting stronger by the second. He was now extremely curious for he had just passed a Blood Bank, where apparently she had her supper. She was now full, but no less sad, and no less alone...I wonder what has caused this young one such sorrow... He continued to track the She-Vampire, and slowed to a walk when her scent was so, that he knew that she was within thirty feet.
He found her leaning against a brick a wall in an ally. He was hesitant on approaching her. There were a great deal of Vampires that hated Wolves, and he didn't want to get killed, but she seemed so sad. She was starring at the ground, at the brink of tears. He came closer, turned off his Ipod, and wrapped his ear-phones around the armband that held his music. He didn't want to scare her, but he wanted to make her feel better. "Guten tag fraulin, are you alright?" He looked at her with concern and hoped that she wouldn't react badly, and kill him.

The brunette vampire gave a start at the sound of someone coming towards her. She looked up quickly and was greeted by the sight of a man coming towards her. She sighed, she didn’t even care, if a man wanted to rob her, let him have it. She then noticed the scent that came off of him, not just the scent of his work out, but of his wolf, that creature that lived deep inside of him. She knew that smell from Alex, Alex was a wolf too. But this one was all on its own different. She wiped her eyes quickly, brushing away the tears that were on the verge of falling. "Guten tag fraulin, are you alright?"She blinked and looked at him, tilting her head to the side some. She knew it was German, but he had that accent, it was cute. But it made his words a little hard for her to get the first time around. But she did know what the question was he was asking. “Umm… I’m okay… just… thinking.” She said slowly, thinking for a moment about his words. Then she smiled and shook her head, wiping her eyes one more time for good measure. “Sorry, umm.. Can I help you?” She asked, thinking that maybe he was a tourist that might have gotten lost. That he needed directions back to his hotel or something. She adjusted the strap of her purse and smiled at him, pushing off from the wall, feeling the wall pull her hair, but give way. Same with the back of her sweater, but she didn’t really care too much about that either. She reached up and pushed her hair out of her face, slipping it behind one ear. She smiled at him friendly. She knew that some wolves and vampires would never get along. But She really did hope that this would not be one of those wolves. She personally didn’t have any problem with wolves, Alex was one and the two of them had a bunch of fun. She wanted to look friendly and not threatening towards him, she really didn’t want to get into any kind of fight tonight. He saw her brushing tears from her face. When he asked, she said she was alright, but he could tell even if he was blind that there was something bothering her. She scent was screaming that something deep within was haunting her. He hated to see women cry, there was just something about the sight of their sorrow that made Falke want to protect them from everything in the would that would try to harm them. She had long chocolate terraces that spilled over her shoulders like the waterfalls of northern Germany. Her eyes were of the purest blue he had ever seen, and shone in the incandescent light like stars."Sorry, ummm...can I help you?" Her voice was calmer now, but still was a little stained. He didn't want to pry, but she was to beautiful to be so sad. "Oh, no, I just caught your self a v'hile back and you seemed rather low. I don't mean to be invasive or anything, Fraulein."In Germany, everything was formal, but one always looked after others. If a child dropped her toy, you would pick it up. If old man needed help with his groceries, you would lend a hand. It wasn't that you knew them, it was just what you did. Or it was where he was from. Though he meant well, he had to be careful in America, some would take it the wrong was if you actually cared. At least in the NYC they did.
She didn't seem hostile to him, just a bit bothered. In fact from what he was sensing, she actually liked him. He did have a habit of making great first impressions, but you never knew with vampires, one minute they would be your friend, and the next try to kill you. Or that's what he heard. He had other Vampire friends, and they all were incredibility pleasant. She moved from against the wall, and fixed her hair, even though there was little wrong with it. Then she smiled at him, and she simply glowed. Her teeth were white as paper, and had a sheen to them that him thought that only existed in the movies. He stuck out his hand, as is customary in America when introducing ones self then spoke. "I am Lukas Falke."

Lillie watched him some, she was interested, but she didn’t feel safe. She wasn’t sure why, she just felt something. In the back of her mind it was an odd feeling, a sensation of confusion and wariness. "Oh, no, I just caught your self a v'hile back and you seemed rather low. I don't mean to be invasive or anything, Fraulein." She nodded, and smiled at him. She was pretty sure that he was telling the truth now. She had done some traveling in her life and she knew that people were friendly. Americans were busy bustling people who could care less about the person who tripped and fell on the side walk. Most New Yorkers would walk around the person and care less that they could be in pain and unable to get up. It was nice to see someone thow was not completely blind. She watched him stick out his hand and she smiled. "I am Lukas Falke." She smiled and took his hand. “Lillianna Devonshire, Lillie for short.”She smiled sweetly at him and then bit her lip lightly, “Don’t worry… I’m fine. Just… adjusting…” She said and shrugged a little. Lillie wasn’t sure how far she wanted to go with this line of conversation. She licked her lips, and smiled once again at him. “Having a good run?” She asked, wondering how easy it was to run through the crowded sidewalks of New York. It couldn’t be that easy, too many people who aren’t willing to move out of the way. She glanced towards the street, noting the busy people just mulling about on the sidewalk, walking quickly towards their different desitnations. This silly city filled with unknowing people… people that don’t know what is going on just under their noses… the world of vampires and werewolves. Some may know, but Lillie hadn’t known… She hadn’t known till it was too late. Although he was quite comfortable around all creatures, vampires included, there was something about her that said that she wasn’t. He hoped that it wasn’t the wolf that inhabited his soul that made her so uneasy. He did his best to be friendly…Maybe she is just having one of those days, or maybe it’s the fact that people her don’t like to be cared about… It was a throw up, but there was something inside him that prayed for it to be the former. He felt a little better about this venture when her freezing cold hand met his. A shiver went up his spine, he had touched a vampire before, but he would never get use to that temperature. Not when his was so much above normal. They felt like walking corpses, like the breath of the grim reaper him self, but he wouldn’t hold that against them. Rarely did the ice penetrated deeper than the skin. Apparently her name was “Lillianna Devonshire, Lillie for short.”. It was a beautiful name, it sounded Irish, or Scottish, something from those Islands. It matched her very well, the ring it had to it reminded him of the scent that was flowing around him.
He smiled at her as she did him, but hers was a bit insecure. She was biting her lip as she said she was alright, and asked how his run was. She obviously wasn’t quite ready to talk about her self, that was alright with him. If there were things that the vampire didn’t want to tell a strange lycan whom she just met, it was totally understandable. “Very much so, the bustling people here are great practice.” He took off his bini and briefly inched his head. It occurred to him that he looked a lot like a dog when he did that. He didn’t mean to, it just happened. He smiled to him self, it was the little things that helped his wolf calm, like subconscious dog-like tendencies and unyielding loyalty. His was the most incredible odd beast he had ever met. Others were mostly very aggressive and wild, but not his.
