New York. A city of nothing but life. A city of hurried souls, mingling and struggling to make it through a day and on to another. In life, this was all Audri had wanted. In death, nothing had changed. She loved the city, everything about it. Even down to the polluted air she breathed in on occasion. But, even the infatuation Audri had with the city didn't keep her from seeing the downfalls it possesed.
The night life, for example. Some days, she enjoyed it. Any other, it down right pissed her off. Shady characters looking to score or make a deal with a barely grown teenager with hopes of a repeat customer. Half dressed underage drunken girls. The city was wonderful, yes, but it had it's share of disgrace.
It was these options that almost kept her home as she stedily prepared herself for a night out. She felt caged in her little apartment. She just needed a breather. A night of fun and feeding. Nothing like a night like tonight to take advantage of that.
She ran a flat iron through her long brown locks a few more times to be sure they were flat, no strands to fly away and look static like. She carefully coated her eyes in black kohl, playing with her mascera til her eye lashes looked a bit longer.
After quickly dressing and running around her apartment, she locked the door, crossing the room to open a window. She stared down the three stories to the ground, crouching on the ledge before jumping. She landed quietly, glancing around quickly before straightening her jacket and walking out of the alley.
She continued on a few blocks, entering a shadowy smoke-filled club. She shook her har out as she entered, pulling a hood over her head and looking around. The usual nothing, she thought to herself. She shook her head in dismay before taking a seat at the bar, spinning to place her back against it. She inhaled deeply, smoke and alcoholic scents filling her nose. But there was another scent. It stuck out just enough she could notice it. A wet dog smell. A werewolf in this club?
Well, she thought, There's a first for everything.

Jack was standing around and mingling with the lonely humans that this bar seemed to attract. He put his already lit cigarette back in his mouth as he walk towards the bar. "Can I get a Gin?"He asked as he handed the Bartender ten bucks. With a Cigarette in one hand and gin in the other Jack leaned his back against the bar, he had a sort of disgusted smile on his face. Like he was happy but like he also hated this place.
Damn, this place is horrible. Drunk idiots trying to pick up underage chicks, I forgot how closed minded some humans are. He thought to himself as he sighed. After he took a smoke from his cigarette a scent filled his nose.A Vampire...he though as he looked around, he didn't want any trouble from vampires tonight it was his night off. Jack started to walk around the bar a bit more. Amazingly he wasn't trying to pick up chicks, he was shocked himself. He figured that his flirtatiousness was just off tonight.
Of all the clubs in New York, why did he chose this one? Maybe just because it was the closest one to his apartment, he couldn't really say but he just shrugged and walked back towards the bar. He sat down at the bar and started to mingle with the bartender a bit. He was done drinking for the night but he didn't feel like going home and dealing with his roommate.
It took him a short time but he after awhile he noticed who he was sitting next to. The Vampire that he sensed earlier was right by him. He only knew this because her scent was more clearer since he was closer. He kind of ignored her for a short while as he sat at the bar hunched over with his elbows on the bar itself. He then turned, Cigarette in his mouth and looked at her. "You're a Vampire, Aren't you?" He said with a slight smile. "Well, My name's Jack, how are you this fine night?" Jack asked in a mannerly way. The last thing he wanted was to get into an altercation with a female vampire.

She'd play it careful, she knew she could get away with that. Any signs of foul play and she'd bolt. Just take off like a shot. Part of her mind wondered if that would even work. She'd toyed with wolves before; This wasn't a run and hide matter.
She ignored the scent, worked her damnedest to lose it all together. Eventually, she just closed her eyes and let the music penetrate her soul. That was all she knew. She swayed slightly to the beat, but before long that damned scent broke through once more.
Her eyes flew open. Not only did it break into her mind once again, but it was getting stronger. Each second passing, it got a bit stronger. A figure sat next to her, and she could almost see the scent pouring off him. Werewolf alert, she thought, her heart racing. She turned away slightly. If she played it cool, she figured she could shake him.
Until he turned toward her, she thought that plan was fool proof.
"You're a Vampire, Aren't you?"
She saw him smile. It had become impossible as of that moment to lie her way out of it. Fucking busted. "Yes, I am. If there's any problems, please alert me to them so I can leave." She wasn't going to put up with any shit. Especially anything that could lead into an altercation.
"Well, My name's Jack, how are you this fine night?"
Audri raised her eye brow slightly. A polite wolf. She could handle it. She'd never held a hatred or dislike towards the species. It was normally the other way around. For tonight, she could handle a civil wolf. Til the pup's friends decided to gang up on her again.
"I'm Audrina," she quietly replied, shifting to better face him. "I prefer, however, to go by Audri. And I'm quite alright this evening. As for yourself?"

"I prefer, however, to go by Audri. And I'm quite alright this evening. As for yourself?"she had replied to him.
Jack took of his hat and ran his fingers through his medium short green hair. His bangs were slightly longer than the rest of his hair. He took another smoke from his cigarette before speaking. "I'm doing quite fine thank you."He said with a half smile seeing as the other half of his mouth was occupied by the cigarette. He sat up straight and closed his eyes for a bit. Trying to use his senses to make sure there were no other vampires around. He knew that if there were other vampires that they would be on him in a snap if he some how ticked Audri off, which he had no intentions of doing.
He then turned to the bartender and ordered a glass of water. His mouth was dry and his throat itchy. He took a drink of his water than another smoke of his cigarette before putting it out. He sat and waited awhile for Audri to speak, he would feel like an idiot if he were to ramble on with questions instead of giving her a chance to actually speak. As he sat there his eyes scanned the room and he let the music flow in his ears, not his favorite type of music but it was satisfying enough. He then accidentally let his eyes scan Audri, Damn, she is one gorgeous Vampire. he thought to himself before turning away a bit.
After a few moments of silence he decided to let him self speak "So Audri, are you fom around here?"He asked as he ruffled his hair a bit and put on his hat. he carefully adjusted his hat and moved his bangs out of his blueish green eyes before looking back at Audri and waiting for a response.

Small talk wasn't generally something most men tried, or were even good at. Let alone when the man happened to be a werewolf. But that apparent fact didn't stop this man from trying. Audri had to back track her mind; His name was Jack, or at least that was what memory told her.
She watched him carefully as he puffed away at the cancer stick in his mouth. Smoking was a filthy habit, and one she wasn't proud to support on occasion. What did it matter to her, though? She had no risk of lung cancer, or anything else it could have done to her as a human. But this pup, this pup could still get hurt. At least, to her knowledge, which she would admit wasn't much, she thought they could.
"So Audri, are you from around here?"
No, she thought to herself. I frequent a New York bar because I'm from California. She rolled her eyes in spite of herself. He was trying to be polite; She could at least snuff the bitchy thoughts. She couldn't quite put a finger on her mood, but she could feel it shifting in every which way. She'd have to be careful, control herself. Last thing she needed was to start a fight for being a woman.
"Originally," she started, tucking her hair behind her ear, No. But currently, I live just a few blocks away. Shabby little apartment, but it suits me quite nicely. She wouldn't continue on, saying it felt empty since Erick had been away. That it wasn't quite the same without him there. She'd leave it at that, for now. No need to bring up anything that could result in a crying, fleeing vampire. "What about you?" she asked. "What's your story?"

Jack put his cigarette out. He then noticed that she had rolled her eyes after he had asked where she was from. He shrugged it off and listened to her answer his question. then she had asked one herself.
"What's your story?"
Jack smirked a little bit and let out a slight chuckle. He then readjusted his hat. "Heh...a long one, but I am originally from Chicago, Illinois." . He had much more to had, but the middle of this story was a sad one so he tried to avoid it. "So tell me..." he said as he fixed his hair once more. "What attracted you to New York?" he said with a smirk, everyone came here for some reason, whether it was for work, fame, fortune, or pleasure. He himself was dragged here with his family when times got hard. As he sat there he had a sort of flash back of when he first got here, how he got into smoking and...how he lost his mother. He then shook away the bad memories and returned back to the conversation. One of which he wasn't doing very well in.
He figured that she probably thought that he was trying to get into her pants, which surprisingly, was not what he was doing. He then pondered on what would happen if a werewolf and vampire would have had a child together, wouldn't it make that child like an ultimate-life form. He let those ideas fade away as he took a drink of his water. His throat was feeling better but he was still thirsty. But as he sat there more thoughts filled his head, thoughts about whether this vampire girl were setting a trap, then thoughts about how he was crazy for thinking such things, and so on. He figured she probably didn't want any trouble either.

She decided then and there that she was a stronger person than she'd thought. Because everytime he played with that hat, she wanted to knock it off his damn head. The only thing stopping her, however, was the fact that she herself chewed on jacket sleeves or fingernails. When her nerves truly got to her, she'd bite into her lip. Quicky habits were tough to break, but that hat...
She shook it off once his voice made it to her ears.
"Heh...a long one, but I am originally from Chicago, Illinois."
She waited patiently for him to say more, yet there was where he stopped. I thought this was a long story, she thought to herself. She shrugged it off; She herself was good at saying it was a long story and spitting it out in a single sentence.
"So tell me..." She watched him fix his hair once more between beats; His damn head was going to roll. She didn't want trouble, and she didn't want to be rude. But enough was enough! "What attracted you to New York?"
Audri sighed quietly, chewing at the inside of her cheek. What was the real way to answer that? Honestly? She could go into that, the way she had no idea who the hell she really was. Or she could lie, and say she ran here in an attempt to escape over bearing parents. Or, she could cover both bases with one sentence. "You could call it self discovery," she mumbled quietly. She dove into the bag at her side, rumaging through it for her own pack of cigarettes. She could feel this was a topic that may not get dropped; It was best to prepare herself now.
She withdrew the pack, pulling out a single cigarette and placing it between her lips. Show me what you've got, kid.

"You could call it self discovery,"
He had heard her reply while she pulled out a box of cigarettes and put one in her mouth. He then, under impulse, pulled out his box of cigarettes and put one in his mouth preceding to light it. He had not even realized that he just recently put one out. Jack wasn't a chain smoker and wasn't very good at trying to be one so shortly after he took his first smoke he coughed and then put his cigarette out and back into his box. He then scratched his chin a bit, seeing that his 5'0 clock shadow happened to get slightly itchy at times, but not often.
Jack then stood up and stretched some, he didn't like to sit in one place for extended periods of time, it got on his nerves slightly. He then contiuned to stand as he looked around a bit and saw that the crowd of people was slowly diminishing, It must be getting late. Jack didn't mind staying up all night, in fact he has done it occasionally since he became a were wolf.
He then looked back at Audri. "Look, I'm not gonna Lie....I really am getting sick of this place. You wanna continue this conversation else where?" He said before he finished drinking his water and looked around a bit. the truth was he really didn't like this place at all. he only came here to drink some and get away from his roommates. They had a habit of complaining about everything he did whether it was how he spoiled his dog, to how he played music to loud. He didn't expect to come out and meet a friendly Vampire, he was fairly new to this whole vampire, werewolf business but he had been told that they do not get along for the most part.
Then with a smile he looked back at Audri and offered his hand for her to use to get up. He had hoped that she would agree on leaving this disgusting human infested place and going somewhere else, any where really. So what's next lady?

Audri rummaged through her bag a little longer until a book of matches was withdrawn. Striking one, she lit her cigarette, watching him quickly mimic her actions; She smirked despite efforts not to when he started coughing and put out his cigarette. With that, she exhaled slowly, sure it was drifting straight into his face but not caring enough to redirect the flow.
She carefully flicked her wrist, ashes falling from the end of her cigarette. She rose it to her lips again, looking over to see her companion growing restless. Just like a pup, she thought smugly. Without missing a beat, he opened his mouth to confirm what she'd thought.
"Look, I'm not gonna Lie....I really am getting sick of this place. You wanna continue this conversation else where?"
Audri could have cared less where she was. As long as it wasn't her empty apartment. She shrugged her shoulders. "Sure. I wouldn't mind taking a walk," she said quickly before snuffing the barely smoked cigarette.
She glanced at his extended hand, brushing it off and rising from her chair. She pushed past him slightly, fighting through the crowds toward the door.
She broke free into the night air. Inhaling deeply, she closed her eyes. It could be a good night, she thought to herself, a smile coming from no where. She turned back to look at the door.
ooc: My muse died off. Sorry it sucks. x__x

"Sure. I wouldn't mind taking a walk," He watched her but out her cigarette. She then pushed away his hand as she stood up, he watched her Walk out of the club. Shortly after he started to head for the door as well.
He sighed with a smile,This is gonna be a long night. He thought to himself as he pushed the door open and found himself face to face with Audri. He smiled and rolled up his sleeves, he was wearing a white long sleeve button up shirt and a black tie. He walked a bit closer to her. "Lead the way.." He said making a polite hand gesture as he said this. He decided to let her chose where to walk. He figured by now that she wasn't planning to ambush him and that he can trust her a bit more than he was.
Jack stroked his chin once more, and adjusted his hat. He looked at the night sky. Unfortunately it was quite cloudy out tonight, plus there aren't many starts to observe in New York, to many lights and cars and such. The clouds covered most of the moon as well. It wasn't a full moon but he figured it would be in a few days. Heh...I guarantee i wouldn't be talking to this vampire if it was a full moon. he thought. He didn't know to much about his powers yet, only that he had better senses and better strength, especially when he was in form. but he's been through two full moons thats enough to let him know he can't control himself while its a fullmoon and he guessed thats how it was for all werewolves.
ooc: xD sorry its short, i have to get off soon and i have another post to do.
