Dangerous Surprise {Shane}

She was so glad she had friends in high places, little people here and there that could hack, were in the CIA and more. She couldn't figure out how she knew all these people they were just friends of her own but of her parents too. They had helped her track down and old friend, that she hadn't seen in a long time.

She smiled to herself, but the wind was picking up around her, which made her confused in some ways, but she didn't really know why. It was supposed to be a lovely night a soft breeze, but this was a howling wind. She pulled her thin jacket around her form and continued to the desired location. A house that belonged to her ex lover, someone she still cared for and respected and was quite protective over. Things had been difficult those first few weeks after their break up, very difficult. She did love him, he meant a lot to her, but he wanted to continue to travel, while she wanted to stay back in California and try to get her record deal going.

It fell through, but she lived in Cali for a while, until she decided she was going to go to New York. She had heard his name a few times when she had been hanging out with acquaintances at a bar or a club. His name floating around made her realize she wanted to at least go see him and it seemed he had been in the area. She made some phone calls and found out where he was currently residing and decided she would go and surprise him.

She wanted to look nice, she always did when she was around him, but when ever they just stayed in the house she wore sweats or something comfortable, he never really minded. But since this young female wanted to look nice for their first time seeing each other since the break up she wanted to look nice. She also knew that during this visit, she would probably talk him into letting her go to the shooting range with him, so she wore something that would remind him of the olden times. She wasn't making it a goal to be "his girl" again, but if it came to that, she wouldn't mind.

Her outfit

Her out fit consisted of a lovely sleeveless shirt a skirt and lace poncho/shaw. She wore nice heels and and earrings that dangled a black jem silver ring and a two winged necklace Shane had given to her on their one year anniversary, which was three weeks before they broke up. The last thing that tied the whole outfit together was the black rose hair clip that pinned up the hair the was on the right side of her head, while her bangs dangled down right above her eye.

She slowly made her way up to the door and stood there in front of it while smiling, this would be perfect, she would surprise the hell out of him. She was going to be happy to see him again, she had to wonder how he looked and how he would react, she just hoped it would be a good reaction.

Shane's home was simple, he kept it that way because that was the way he wanted to express himself to his guests, which, he rarely had. But, he knew that the neighbors of this home knew he was anything but simple. They knew he was rarely home, and when he was, he was never seen during the day. But they would know he was home by the black Impala that would be parked in front of the building, and it always seemed to have its parking stop, no matter what. But his neighbors were not stupid, highly religious and a little superstitious, yes. But not stupid. For this reason, Shane did not speak to any of them, he did not interact with any of them. Though he was comforted by the fact that they were still strong in their Irish ways, which was why he moved to this section of New York. He needed to feel at home, even if this was so very far from his home.

The simple little brownstone was one among many on the street, but it was still like no other. The outside was very normal, the cool calm face of a weathered old house, but the inside, it was remodeled. The simplistic modern style, is what the designer had called it. Shane had decided to remodel the inside of the house about four months ago, deciding that if he was going to be living in the area for an extended time, he should make it more like home. But, the final outcome was not what he had expected, but, he would live with it. He was not planning on keeping this house in the city, no, he was looking into something farther out, the commute was not a bother to him, and he was tired of such close quarters. This would be his last week in this house before moving to something farther out into the suburbs. Away from the hustle and the bustle of the big city around him.

This home he would be renting out to an old friend of his, a business partner, someone whom he trusted. But that was neither here nor there. This home, for now, was his. Shane stood in the kitchen, his back to the windows... The windows were open now, letting in the darkness from the night. During the day, they were closed off with shutters on the inside, shutters that were on timers, to open and close at the same time, every day and night. Another addition to the house that Shane had felt needed to be added, though this one, much older than the remodel. Shane sighed, and looked around him, he could see into the living room, which was rarely used, the L shaped couch, something from some catalog, and it was all very sparse, barely felt like anyone lived here, it really did look more like a model home in a brochure.

He could see his front door, he sighed again and played with the glass of scotch that was in his hand. The sun had just gone down a few hours ago, but he had been up all day. Working down in the basement, working on paperwork and such. He had been contacted by a few different religious groups wanting him to come and 'cleanse' their cities. He hated that mail. But he was the only one that read the request mail. He was the only one that judged whether or not the infestation was getting out of hand and when his team should intervene. His team, more of a company really. Darfore Inc. or The Darkside's Forsaken, or just The Forsaken, as the group called each other. He had started it, and it had grown. There were more vampires and others out there like him, who agreed that the infestation, or curse, should be contained or watched, to make sure no one gets out of hand.

Down in the basement was Shane's office, and that of some of the other members of the group. He had been down there, shuffling through a pile of mail that had been forwarded here from his other home in Ireland. Now, he was taking a break. He needed to rest his eyes, and just clear his head from all the letters, asking and some even begging for him and his crew to come along and help them. He spun the golden liquid in the glass, listening to the clanking of the ice against the clear glass it was contained in. He was tired, and he really should have slept today, but he had not been in the mood then. Now, however, he was. But that would not help him now. He closed his eyes, took a sip from the drink he held in his hand and then sighed as he felt the cold liquor burn his throat in that familiar and comforting way that he was so use to.

Then, his senses perked and he stiffened for a moment. Thinking, he had heard someone walk up the steps of his home, it had not been a male, the steps were too light. That ruled out many of the people he often had over his home. He did not often have women over, unless they worked for him. But he had told everyone that he wanted tonight off, he was not going to allow anyone whom worked for him in the house tonight, he wanted to relax and not have to worry about the damned for one night. He pushed off from against the window and walked quietly and quickly to the door. He narrowed his eyes as he eyed the black wood that made up the two double doors that were the main entrance to his home. He leaned in and caught a familiar scent, and he did not have to look through the peep hole to know who was on the other side of those doors.

He put a smile on his face, reached for the handle and opened the door. Shane was his regular self, dressed in a pair of jeans, a little worn, but dark blue, and he wore a button down black shirt, though not completely buttoned closed. His hair was loose, he had combed it, but not styled it in anyway, and his feet, they were bare. His vision was full of the pretty thing that was on the other side of the door. He took her in fully, smiling warmly as he did. "Hello Alisha...." He said, his oh so old Irish accent was still strong. That was one thing that he prayed he would never loose. "Do come in..." He said, and then stepped out of the way, holding the door open for her... Allowing her plenty of space to walk into the home.

He would shut the door behind her, glancing out onto the street before completely closing it, and then turning to face her. "What brings you here? If you don't mind me asking?"

The floor plan is a little odd, the basement, is actually considered the first floor, with home office, vault for his weapons and whatever else... Lol. . Right now the two of them are technically on the second floor, with kitchen, front entry, living room, bathroom, stairs and a small, very small patio, accessible through a door in the kitchen. The third floor is another sitting area, with TV and a bedroom with bathroom, often a guest room. IMAGE and the fourth floor is completely one master bedroom with a master bath. So all in all, its a 4 story, 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom home.

She stood at the door and straightened her outfit and before she could even knock on the door or ring the bell the door opened. Her eyes brightened as she saw him standing there, in his usual attire, pair of jeans and a button up shirt. She was happy he hadn't changed, she just smiled for a moment. Soon she heard that gorgeous Irish accent flow through the air and press past her ears. "Hello Alisha...." she jumped softly, only because she hadn't heard his voice in a long time. He held the door open for her and spoke once again "Do come in..." She smiled and slowly walked in, "Good evening Shane." She spoke softly, her voice light but still had that exotic undertone to it. She was glad to see him again and she truly couldn't stop smiling.

As she moved in she was confused about one thing, the interior of the house was not like Shane at all. She somewhat gawked at how it looked and stumbled over ideas for why he might have chosen this type of furniture and layout. She then decided that the layout and furniture didn't matter, but that she finally got to see Shane again. Because of this she turned around and smiled in his direction, her smile was warm and inviting and looked like petals of a pale red rose.

"What brings you here? If you don't mind me asking?" He spoke to her as she just stood there in the middle of the entry way, she laughed softly, her voice like its own melody as she spoke. "My record deal, was a bust.. and I couldn't stop thinking of you so I contacted some of our old friends and found out where you were staying. I was trying to stalk you or anything I just wanted to see you again." She smiled and turned around walking more into his household looking around a little more.

She just looked around slowly noticing the two stair cases one leading up the other down. She would wait for him to give her a tour, she knew he would eventually anyway. "We haven't spoken or seen each other in a long time Shane, and I have to tell you the truth.. I've missed you." She spoke softly just barely above a whisper, while her back was to him. Though she was content with them separating she was still saddened, for she truly did care about him. So that's what made this moment so amazing, but it also made her feel awkward, because she wasn't sure where he was at this point in his life.

She slowly turned around and looked back towards Shane and gave her genuine smile once again. "I hope you don't mind that I did, what I did."
