"Everyone is important. You came to me remember?"
Now that was a turn of events. She had come to him. But she wasnt expecting him to throw it right back into her face. This could all be worked out calmly if he would just give up on the whole power role. Then again, she wasnt really helping either. Both of their personalities just didnt mix. She was outgoing and told people what she thought, when she thought it. And this man seemed like he was born in the old ages when women were supposed to respect men. Well she had a news flash for him. It wasnt like that anymore. And she sure as hell wasnt going to kiss his shoes.
In a few seconds though there was that ice touch again and she sucked in a breath. It was more shock then fear. He really had no sense of personal space did he? He grabbed her wrists and then pinned her to the wall of the building that wasnt to far from her. She swallowed slightly and stared at him, watching his movements and listening to his words even though they sent chills down her spine. She had been looking for information. From him of all people. And now she was starting to wish she hadnt come knocking on his doorstep. She would have faired better with any other person.
His form pressed against hers and she squirmed frantically. She didnt want him near her. But she had been right, he was damn strong. Her wrists would probably bruise later from struggling against him. There wasnt a single part of her that could move at the moment. Some of that fear she refused to acknowledge came up and she shoved it back down, telling herself she was being ridiculous. She had no reason to fear this man. What was he going to do to her standing like this?
"Everyone of your kind is so useful."
It wasnt so much the sentence itself that got her. It was that one word. Kind. Her kind. What did he mean by that? He really did not make any sense what so ever and she was starting to get confused. And she hated being confused. She glared at him, tugging at her wrists and and trying to squirm out. "My kind? What the hell do you m-" But her words were cut off as something she never expected to happen was right there in front of her. She watched as the canine teeth elongated to a length only know for one creature that was human. A vampire.
Oh god! She was dealing with the supernatural! There was her proof right in front of her. He was a vampire. And in reality, it all made sense. The speed, the strength, the freezing skin. And now the teeth. She had been denying what she had known all along. What she had known for years now. The tattoos on her wrists were proof enough of that. And it just made all his words towards her even more menacing. He really could do anything he wanted. And he really was a man of the underworld. How many others were there? And if vampires were real, that had to mean that werewolves were to.
Suddenly a piercing pain filled her neck and her eyes widened. He had just bit her! She was going to be drained by a vampire. Right here and now. There wasnt anything she could do about it. This whole affair was over her head. She was mortal. Human. And the ones she was searching for were inhuman beings with skills that could out do her own twenty fold. What had she been thinking? She should have known by the tip off. The man had been sketchy and refused to get near her. And had worshiped Sevanni. He must have been a vampire to.
When she felt his hands leave her wrists she had a fleeting moment of hope that he was letting her go. But of course, her luck wasnt that good and she felt the cold hands on her waistline. She could feel the chill even through her clothes. Now was her chance though. If she had any chance at all. "Let me go!" She screamed and thrashed, not caring if her neck got more ripped in the process. She pushed against him with her arms, and hit him with her fists. A lot of good that did her. It was like hitting a block of ice.
It didnt take long before she felt her strength going. Leaving ehr limbs and her eyelids started to flutter. "No!" She whispered harshly and grit her teeth to try and hang on as long as she could. But that wasnt very long with the amount of blood she had lost. Her eyes closed and she fell into his arms, blacked out for the count.
------
"Oh god...My head..." She muttered softly, her right hand reaching towards her forehead. She let out a small breath of air and then she tried to remember what was going on. She felt a small stinging on her neck and then it all suddenly came back to her. Sevanni. Meeting him, pissing him off, him biting her, and then....Then what? Honestly she didnt know. She had blacked out from the blood loss. But if she was dead...Wouldnt she not be able to think at the moment.
So obviously she was alive. Her high hopes was that he had left her in the alley. But where she was currently was neither cold nor hard. She felt like she was on a bed. And someone was tracing lines in her palm. Curiously, she opened her eyes and then wanted to shut them immediately. But she didnt and glared daggers at Sevanni. "You again!? What did you do to me?! Where am I?!" She asked him and sat up quickly, regretting it slightly as her world spun, but she wasnt backing down.
Her hand went to her neck and she felt the bite mark and she swallowed gently. She needed to be careful. She didnt want to be bit again. "What do you want from me?"

"Oh god...My head..." Softly muttered out as he drew eyes to the waking Kira. Letting his hand pull back and watching her as she dared to be so brave and sit up with a hand to her head. "You again!? What did you do to me?! Where am I?!"
A little haunting smirk rose on his lips as he watched her actions. Listened to her words. Such a cliche' question wasn't it? "I brought you here rather than leaving you in that alley. Unless you prefer being unconcious in the middle of New York?" It was a sarcastic remark, but come on, who would leave her be? Surely someone would have seen her badge and grabbed the opportunity to beat down a cop woman or not. Wouldn't you?
"What do you want from me?" she assessed her neck, feeling the puncture wounds. He hadn't had time just yet to wipe the small amount of blood left behind.
Usually Sevanni was always careful when he drank. Leaving very little blood to drip from his mouth. Keeping the victim clean as well with just the familiar hint of blood. Most of the time he left a small amount of his own blood over the puncture marks so it would have closed up soon after, but things between them had happened far to fast and he hadn't had the time to do so.
At least when she was laying down he could have cut his hand and let blood drip onto the wounds, but he was more in admiration of her beauty and boldness to do such a thing. He would see to it he did do it before she so much as walked out of those doors.
Mortals were partially clueless to their actual existence and he had to make sure it stayed that way. He had done it to Jace before leaving him in the parking lot. Why would this be any different?
"My girls live here.....You're in their guest bedroom." He opted to assist her back to lay down. "And you....should lay down before you pass out or throw up." He shook his head nearly tisking. "You mortals are so adamant on being strong when you shouldn't be fighting the inevitable." Softly spoken to her as he insisted she lay back. It wasn't as if he was going to hurt her again. Not unless she acted up of course.
Sevanni rose from the bed, moving over to the front of the bed and holding against the rails of the foot of it. "Would you like something to drink? Water....soda....juice.....coffee?" Sure that one of the girls would hear and go fetch whatever it was she wanted. They had been cuddled up outside the door for a while now waiting for him to come out just so they could swoon over him and gain his attention and love. His darling little kittens. Such troublemakers and wonderful lovers. Even if he had never laid a hand on either of them. A kiss perhaps, a bite here and there, but nothing more.

She watched as that damn smirk played on his lips again. He really was far to arrogant in his manners. She had met men that were like him but when it came to arrogance and knowing your absolute strength and everything else he had to be the king of it. Not that he had much to doubt. He was a vampire after all. Who could beat a vampire? The speed and strength alone were enough to kill anyone. Except for maybe another vampire. Which brought up the question of how many of them were out there?
"I brought you here rather than leaving you in that alley. Unless you prefer being unconscious in the middle of New York?"
Her blue green eyes moved to his face for a minute, seeing as she had moved her gaze to the door and then into her lap. He scared her slightly, but she wasnt about to admit that. He could easily snap her neck with just the flick of the wrist and he probably wouldnt even blink about it. She was just a small human being in his world. Just a mortal that had a time card on her life. And if she pushed her luck, he could call that card up.
With a resigned sigh she nodded her thanks. She hated giving thanks to people. She liked to think of herself as independent. She never worked with a partner at work and she got some of the hardest cases. "Thank you...." She told him softly, her gaze going back to her lap and looking at the slight blood on her fingers that she had wiped away from her neck. The blood was from the bite mark that he had given her. A bite mark that didnt hurt anymore but had hurt at first when he had done it.
And that single bite proved out so many things to her. Her parents had indeed been killed by supernatural creatures just as she had feared and just as she had not wanted to believe. But that single bite and remembering those fangs coming at her was enough proof. There didnt need to be more. Her mother had been drained of blood. So a vampire must have been her killer. But her father had been mauled to death and nearly ripped apart. The blood was still in his body and all over the floor and house. So who had killed him?
Had it been a werewolf? Because surely if there were vampires, the other half of the immortal circle had to be alive and real. But she had to know for sure. So she pulled her gaze back up once more and looked over to him. "So..if vampires are real...Are werewolves real?" She asked him, her head tilting only slightly in her curiosity. He might get angry at her for asking questions but when she was curious she normally demanded answers. This was her being nice only because she didnt want him feeding from her again. She would avoid something like that again at all costs.
"My girls live here.....You're in their guest bedroom."
An eyebrow rose at that remark and her gaze went back to the door. She thought she had heard huddling and breathing by it. And he had said plural. So how many did he have here? And why had he brought her here? Why did he even care enough to not leave her in the street. She had pissed him off to no end and that was something she knew he probably didnt tolerate lightly. And she didnt like being in a strange house with strange people. She just wanted to leave.
But right as she was going to move out of the bed and tell him what she was thinking and ask him questions he was helping her lay back down, tsking her and shaking his head.
"And you....should lay down before you pass out or throw up. You mortals are so adamant on being strong when you shouldn't be fighting the inevitable."
She scoffed at his words but laid back down anyway. She had a massive headache and she didnt mind thinking of getting some more sleep. Not while he was around though. And even if she was tired, she didnt think she could sleep with those girls outside her door. And the question of who else was in the house haunting her head. "I have felt worse before. I am a cop you know. And New York has some pretty shitty people that love to beat women." She shrugged her shoulders gently after her comment and watched him move around her to stand at the railing of the bed.
"Would you like something to drink? Water....soda....juice.....coffee?"
With a shake of her head she sighed. "No...Im..good." She told him. She didnt trust him first off and she truly didnt want anything. She didnt know why he was being so nice to her. And she wanted to know why. Did he have some plans for her? Well they were going to change. Because she wasnt going to be kept here like some pet dog. He probably planned to leave her here with his girls and come check on her and feed her. Oh no. He was going to let her go and then she was going to walk on out of his life and deal with her own.
"Why are you being so nice to me? It doesnt make any sense. You attack me because I pissed you off and then you bring me here so Im not on the streets and ask me if I want anything and are concerned for my well being. Either you are bipolar or you want something from me. Have something planned." She told him, and just to irke him even more she sat back up, folding her arms across her chest in a stubborn way. She wanted her answers.

"Thank you...." Even a generous word had a lot of things behind it. Her thanks wasn't needed really, but eventually she wouldn't be thanking him anytime in the future. Unless he were to tell her the truth, tell her what had happened that night and why. Of course it was a long tale with a past, that he wouldn't get into really, not into the depth that had heartful meaning behind it. The two had taken a blood oath in order to maintain the balance. Her parents were too far ahead in the truth and the two had to take care of it.
"So..if vampires are real...Are werewolves real?" The question most mortals asked. He had yet to hear it from his blood dolls because they didn't dare ask him questions. Except for Ixandra, but she had been the most chatty of his playthings. "That....and other things." He finished with a resonated sigh and a tilt of his head as he matched her.
Once she had tailed to lay down and he had moved to the end of the bed, she had made her peace at stating the apparent truth. Sure she was a cop, the little piggies who patrolled this great state;"I have felt worse before. I am a cop you know. And New York has some pretty shitty people that love to beat women." Did she think of him as one of those people? Sevanni had never beat his women. Okay he slapped and pushed a few times, but they were out of their place and damn well knew it. The only reason he attacked Kira had been because she was too damn stubborn for her own good, a quality he liked. It showed strength, but with him, against him, it was a different story.
Declining a drink, there had been slight silence and then it had been Kira who had started to talk first. "Why are you being so nice to me? It doesn't make any sense. You attack me because I pissed you off and then you bring me here so I'm not on the streets and ask me if I want anything and are concerned for my well being. Either you are bipolar or you want something from me. Have something planned." Kira sat up, folding arms across her chest, once again her stubbornness was coming out, and he was going to have to eventually tag her.
A little expulsion of a chortle was let loose, his head lowering before coming up after a few seconds of a mid thought. His left hand slid across the rail of the bed, moving around and making his way back down beside her. Settling comfortably and letting hazel gray's look up into her eyes. "Eventually I am going to let you go, but your mouth will never speak of what happened between the two of us to a single soul." He started with the softest darkening tone that trailed off at the end.
A luring sense of self had drawn a bit closer to her. "It's not as though you can run and hide from me." His hands had now become planted on both sides of her thighs, resting flat on the bed against sheets with knuckles. "Many have tried before, and have failed of course." He could stop there for now with the obvious hide and seek game he hated oh so much. At the moment he had been tracking James, or rather, trying to track him. Mutts were just a little bit harder.
"Now.....If you decide to be a good little girl, I will tell you everything that you have been dying to know your whole life." His voice deepened a bit in a luring sense of a control that he sustained oh so well. Somehow he had managed to let eyes trail from hers to those lips and then before he took the scenic route, he took those eyes back up to her own. If she decided she could seek knowledge elsewhere, she was sorely mistaken.
Sevanni sat back, letting hands rest on his lap as he let a breathy single laugh out. "Look, you won't be able to get it out of the one who helped take their lives...." Oh no, never that. Perhaps she could try, but in the long end the road would lead to a dead end trail. "But....if you think you would like to end this little journey.....I could think about on how short it should truly be." Meaning her life of course. No mortal could just make a single choice and bewitch Sevanni to be a good vampire. It didn't work before, and it certainly wouldn't start now.

Everything about this vampire was...well..confusing! He was angry and threatening one moment and then gentle and concerned the next. She was starting to think he really was bipolar. Or if not that, some other mental disease that affected the emotions. Was that even possible? Could vampires have diseases that affected humans? There was so much she didnt know and so much she hadnt wanted to believe. This nightmare that was a fairytale that her mother used to tell her all wrapped into one. How in the world had she gotten herself into this?!
But she had to scold herself as well. Because in reality, this was her fault. She had spent most of her free time looking for answers and now that they were staring her right in the face with dark and hungry eyes, she couldnt handle it. Well she was going to handle it damn it. Even if she ended up dying because of it. Sevanni certainly had given enough hints that if she acted up her life could be ended rather quickly. And it would be all too easy for him! Back in the alley she had fought and struggled and he hadnt budged an inch. It showed how much stronger then her he was. And how much she really had no chance if he decided to kill her suddenly.
So it was time to switch gears and play the good kitten instead of the naughty one. He would like that wouldnt he? Her the perfect little angel. Not AS stubborn as she could be and on her best behavior. Oh boy. This was not going to work out well. Since when had she been a perfect little angel? Thats right...never. She was screwed. No...she was worse then screwed and so all she was left with was trying to be good and probably failing. But at least if she would go down, she would go down kicking. All natural flair and attitude. Thats who she was.
Surprisingly, he answered her question. Showing her he could be nice when he wanted to be and that he just chose NOT to be. Maybe it was that whole reputation thing he had floating above his head? Either way, she was intrigued and couldnt help but lean forward slightly since she was already sitting up and disobeying his orders for her to lie down. "Other things? You mean there arent just vampires and werewolves?" She asked him, curious more then anything and of course she wasnt sure if he would answer her not. More then likely give her a vague and non helpful answer. But just the pure fact that she knew something else was out there was mind boggling. Wow she had a lot to learn.
As she digested this newly acquired information her blue eyes watched him carefully. He was on the prowl, moving like water and as slick and smooth as a jungle cat. Silent, prowling, deadly. Only her eyes watched him as he moved. She went silent, hardly daring to breathe, or to move. For who knew, it could be her last thing she ever did. And that would just ruin her whole day right there. His little journey ended when he sat down by her on the bed and just looked at her at first and then started to speak. At his words, she raised a curious eyebrow and almost laughed. But she let out only a small chuckle. Tell someone? Like they would believe her for one thing..and like she wanted this vampire out after her. His dark tone was enough of a threat on her life.
All of a sudden how ever, he was closer to her and his hands were on either side of her thighs. She blinked first and then glared slightly, warning him to watch out for her personal space. Vampire or no vampire, she wouldnt hesitate to hit him. That was one thing she was personal about. His words caught her attention though and this time she did laugh before raising up her hand and placing her index finger on his forehead and pushing him away from her slightly. "Yeah I think I get it. I speak..I die. I run...I die. I dont agree to your plans...I die. Anything else you would like to add? Or do I only have those options? Unless you wanna add a leash and collar to the contract and have me purr like a kitten. Which dont even think about it." She told him and crossed her arms again.
Either way she looked at it, she had no choice but to obey him. Be like a little pet. He would let her go. Eventually. And he would tell her what she wanted to know...If she was good. Oh this was starting to get frustrating.

Such a bad move. Such a very bad move of her to touch his face. She could have touched him anywhere else without so much as a fuss, well, maybe just a little fuss, but his face was a no fly zone, and this mortal had seriously poked him. Brows furrowed as the swell of his anger bubbled to the surface. She must like being pushed around and physically abused. No matter, her blood tasted sweeter and sweeter the more cocky she got. "Yeah I think I get it. I speak..I die. I run...I die. I don't agree to your plans...I die. Anything else you would like to add? Or do I only have those options? Unless you wanna add a leash and collar to the contract and have me purr like a kitten. Which don't even think about it."
A low hum growl emerged from his throat, and he couldn't help himself to this next. It was so evident. If one knew Sevanni, her touch alone was enough to push him over the edge, oh but for her to add such a thing as that last part......
Still he begrudged her in that moment and took hold of her neck. She'd end against the eastern wall at a high pace. It wasn't enough to choke the breath from her, but it was enough for her to get the point. Granted it had been harsh and cruel, but it was something he was prone to do when touched on the face and spoken to like some idiot.
"Since you have it in your head that I am one to mock, I implore you to consider the distinct possibility that I among all people should not be tested to treat one such as your lovely self as a pet. If it is a collar and leash you wish to be had.....I can surely grant you that factor." All spoken out in a single hated breath behind gritted teeth. He was not happy in the least.
She was bold. he gave her that. Poor mortal. One day when and if she managed to become vampire, he was sure she'd pay him back for the way he treated her. Ella had done so, the others.....he was still waiting on a few back lashes from a couple of the boys, but that should be coming around the mountain within the next century.
Sevanni lowered her, tossing her form onto the bed to bounce a bit and stay like a good kitty cat. His body turned toward her though he stood in that spot directly. For now.
"Touch my face again without permission, and I'll let the girls in and they can feast on your agonizing corpse and watch as you scream and writhe in pain." And if she thought he wasn't serious, well, he sort of was, but she had been a mortal that his eye had caught, and so it would be a bit harder for him to enjoy her when she was dead. At least dead so soon.
"Now......are you gunna be a good girl? Or do we have to resort to punishment?" A sly grin formed over that mouth of his. Already he had multiple thoughts as to what he could do with her. To her. But still, he had done a good amount of draining thus far. How much more could she stand?
