Rain began to drizzle lightly from the skies, murky clouds hiding the sun from the world. It was a dull Saturday morning and Maxine was making her way down the car cluttered streets. A long drawn out sigh escaped her lips, hands gradually pulling her black hood over her head. Malachite, green eyes gazed around slowly. She watched as huddled groups of people jogged under their umbrellas, rushing to get proper shelter from the rain. Peering down at the puddle scattered grounds, Max rolled her eyes at the sound of car horns echoing within her ears. Teeth grinding softly, the dark red head turned a corner and began to make her way to the usual café she visited on gloomy days such at this.
Placing her hands into her pockets, Maxie quickened her pace as she crossed the main road. A bright yellow taxi beeping his horn in annoyance as she ran across. Not bothering to look or respond to him, Max continued walking in the rain. A small breeze blew causing her hair to flicker in front of her face, pulling her right hand out of her jean pocket, she tucked her hair back inside her hood. Letting out another sigh, Max approached the small little corner café. Pushing the door open, the little bell above the door making a soft little jingle, the pleasant smell of coffee flowing into her nose.
Lifting her hands towards her head, Max pulled her hood down, revealing long dark red hair. Sorting out her hair, the young red head made her way towards the corner table and chair. Pulling out the red cushioned chair, she seated herself down and lent back with a quiet sigh. Closing her eyes, the pleasant smells of the café lingering all around her, the young werewolf lent forwards and placed the menu in front of herself. Opening her eyes she peered down at the simple menu and began to scan through the list. Rolling her shoulders she glanced around the room, the café was almost empty, which Maxine didn’t mind at all. The less people, the better.
Putting the menu back on its stand, she decided to go with the simple cappuccino. She wasn’t hungry, nor in the mood to eat. Sitting back, waiting for the waitress to approach her, Maxine pulled out a magazine from her hooded jumpers pocket. Skimming through the articles and the pathetic stories, Max threw it to one side, already bored with the stupid thing. How could people read that crap? Head jerked as the sound of footsteps approached her, looking up, Max saw a young girl with a cheery smile across her face. ”Anything I can get you Miss?” she opened a small book pad and clicked the end of her pen, ready to jot down Maxine’s order. Straightening herself, Max forced a smile of her own and replied smoothly, ”Just the usual cappuccino please.” she smiled as the girl wrote her order down and turned on her heel and skipped off to the counter. When the girl had left the smile faded and Maxine rolled her eyes. Was it her or did people seem awfully cheery today?

Jack was sitting a table in his favorite café. With his head drawn back and his feet on the table, he sat and tried to enjoy his frozen coffee. He put the cup to his head and murmured to himself. "Ah...my head". Jack's had a hangover from the night before. He sat up and placed his feet on the ground. If yesterday was Friday...that means today is Saturday....good I don't have shit to do today. He sat there giving himself simple questions to make sure his brain was functioning properly, he knew it was but this was just one of his habits whenever he was hungover.
He stood up and put his hat on, he then put a cigarette in his mouth and lit it. Jack walked over to the trash and threw his half filled coffee away, he wasn't really thirsty anyways. He clasped his hands together and held them above his head so he could stretch. He figured if he left now he would get home around noon, until he finally noticed the rain. Jack really didn't like rain to much, he didn't hate it, he just doesn't like getting rained on. He decided he wasn't going any where until the rain stopped.
He leaned up against a near by wall. He then let his eyes scan the room, the place was practically empty. As his eyes scanned the café he noticed a red haired girl sitting at a table by himself. He preceded to walk towards her table. while he was walking, cigarette in his mouth he used his left hand to move some of his medium length green hair out of his face, he actually had shorter hair but his bangs were slightly longer then the rest of his hair. He approached the table and sat down just before taking a smoke of his cigarette. "Hey, my name's Jack, why the long face?" He said with a half smile seeing that the rest of his mouth was occupied by the cigarette. The girl was sorta cute, she had dark red hair and greenish eyes. Jack couldn't help but at least talk to her for awhile, he was always the type to flirt, even when he was young.

Max glanced around the café for a short moment, eyes staring into an empty space. Head shifted upwards as the waitress returned with her order. With a small smile Maxie took the cappuccino and placed in onto the table. Also with a smile the waitress turned around and walked towards the kitchen, leaving Maxine and her drink alone. With a roll of her eyes, the dark red head looked towards the magazines and slid one across the table in front of her. Green eyes scanned through the stories and small articles, her left hand clutched around her hot drink. Letting out a bored sigh at reading, Max closed its pages and pushed it to one side. Her eyes stared out of the window, watching as the droplets rain ran down the glass. Lifting up her arm, cupping her chin in her hand, Max took a sip of her drink. This really was turning out to be a boring day and the rain didn’t help one bit.
Head jerked as suddenly a masculine voice sounded out from the silence of the café. A frown now cross her features, Max looked up to see a green haired man seating himself in front of her. Staring at him with a frown, Max pushed her cappuccino forwards a little bit. The red head tilted her head at his words, watching him in confusion. Licking her lip and closing her eyes, she looked back to him and replied, ”Um…Hi Jack, and is it any of your business?” she was being defensive, she didn’t know him and could instantly smell what he was. Werewolf. Sitting herself up straight, Max looked at him, eyes trailing from his unimaginable green coloured hair, rough shaven face.
Pulling her hot drink towards her, Max lifted her cappuccino to her lips. Tilting her head back and opening her mouth, Max allowed the hot, chocolate like coffee liquid slide down her throat. Lifting her head back, eyes now looking at ‘Jack’, Max rose a brow and placed her drink back down onto the table top.

He watched her take a sip of her coffee before responding to her. "I'm sorry miss, I was just trying to make conversation." He said as he looked at her. She must be having a really bad morning. he thought to himself as he looked around a bit.
He then looked out the window, he noticed people walking fast or jogging with newspapers or umbrellas above their head while they tried to catch a taxi or find some sort of covering to protect themselves from the rain. He looked down, then at her. He tapped his finger on the table a bit. "You know, maybe I should get going, sorry to disturb you." Jack stood up and adjusted his hat and hair a bit before he stuck his hands in his pockets and turned towards the day. He really didn't want to walk in the rain, but he had nothing left to do in the cafe and he didn't want to be an annoyance to the customers, well the red haired girl anyways.
He looked back at her, she had a frown on her face. He decided to say one more thing before he walked out. "You would look a lot prettier if you smiled."He said, she most likely did not care what he said or what he thought, but he said it any ways. He didn't know anything about this girl. He knew she was a werewolf that's about it. She could be one of those werewolves who just go around slaughtering humans, she could of been one of those ultra depressed people who think every little thing was a bad thing. She could of even been similar to him, he thought of his werewolf "ability" as a gift. She may think the same way. He didn't know, but he didn't want to bother her if she wasn't in a good mood.
ooc: Sorry, I'm Tired and got stuck like half way through xD.

”I’m sorry miss, I was just trying to make conversation.” Maxine rolled her eyes and glanced down to her half filled cup, letting out another sigh as she adverted her green eyes to look to him once more. Tilting her head to the side as he looked at her, Max rose a curious brow. Okay, maybe she had been a little over defensive towards him, but she wasn’t exactly in a good mood to be approached so easily today. Straightening herself, Max sat back into her chair and placed her hands on either side of her drink. Curiously she watched as the green haired man looked out the window, her eyes following in the same direction. Maxine pouted as she watched small droplets continuously trail down the glass, the many people scurrying around to keep themselves dry. A small chuckle dared to escape her lips as she watched them, but Maxine held the urge. Soon Maxine’s attention was taken as a soft tapping of fingers against the table top sounded. Eyes peered towards a hand, then trailed towards the upper form of Jack whom was now looking at her. ”You know, maybe I should get going, sorry to disturb you.” Max sighed again, the slight emotion of guilt crawling to the surface.
As he stood, Max watched as he adjusted his hair and hat, placing his hands into his pockets and made his way towards the door. Pulling her eyes away from him she stared down at the contents of her drink and closed her eyes. She had been overly defensive, and now she felt bad. Great. Eyes opened suddenly as his voice sounded again, ”You would look a lot prettier if you smiled.” These words came unexpectedly and Maxie looked up at him with a frown. Shaking her head she let out a sigh and replied smoothly, ”Well everyone can’t smile everyday…” she laughed slightly and glanced back down to her hands.
Pouting to herself, Max lifted her head and spoke softly, ”Y’know you can always sit here until the rain decides to stop.“ she offered him a smile and lifted her cappuccino to her lips and allowed the warm liquid to run down her throat. After taking a drink she placed her cup back down onto the table and added, ”Sorry ‘bout being so defensive. I’m Max.” she smiled again and gestured with her head for him to sit himself back down.

He turned to the sound of her voice. He saw her looking down at her hands. She then spoke again.”Y’know you can always sit here until the rain decides to stop.“. He smiled a bit as he started to walk back toward her. He would feel pretty damn rude if he just left after she invited him to sit back down. After he reached the table she spoke once more. ”Sorry ‘bout being so defensive. I’m Max.” she said and then smiled at him.
Jack sat down at the table and smiled. "See, I knew you'd be prettier if you smiled." he said as he took a toothpick out of the little container that stored them. He then preceded to put the tooth pick in his mouth and chew on it for awhile. He looked out the window again. Still Raining, but at least he had the pleasure to talk to such appealing company. He looked back at her and pointed at the toothpick. "Usually a Cigarette is in place of this toothpick. Unfortunately for me I'm all out off them." He said as he smiled.
Maybe today will get better. He thought to himself as he saw the waitress walk up to him. "What would you like sir?"she said with the most fake smile he had ever seen. He then pretended to skim a small table menu and looked back at the waitress. "Just a Cappacino please." He said with another smile. He sat there straight up as he watched the young girl sip her coffee. He could be a total ass, like you usually was and try to pick her up, but for one he wasn't feeling like being an ass today, and two he knew that she would never fall for his little flirty comments he usually made. Plus, he was planning on changing his ways and actually try to find that one "special" girl.

Green eyes gleamed in the dense light of the café as she looked to him as he seated himself back down into the chair. Maxine smirked at his comment and shook her head slightly, ’I bet he says that to every girl he comes across.’ she thought to herself. Letting out a soft sigh she brought her eyes to look at him once more, watching as he took a toothpick from the container. Tilting her head in slight confusion as he began to bite it, then look towards the window. Shifting herself in her seat, Max listened as he began to explain his reason. So he was a smoker, same as herself. Letting out a small laugh she replied smoothly, ”Ah another smoker, it is gutting when you run out.” she grinned devilishly and began to push her hand into her front jean pocket. Within a few seconds of rummaging she pulled out a silver coloured packet of cigarettes. Placing them onto the table she grinned to him and spoke softly, ”I have a fresh new packet here.” she toyed with him for the moment.
Maxie watched as the waitress approached him and asked for his order, she was surprised that his order was exactly the same as her own. Pouting slightly she peered down towards the packet of cigarettes and picked them up. Slowly she began to unpeel the packaging and placed the rubbish to one side of the table. Looking up towards Jack with her green eyes she opened to packet and pulled out a cig for herself. Tilting her head in the opposite direction she smiled innocently and said, ”Want one?” she placed her cig between her lips and placed the packet onto the table for him to help himself. Pushing her hand into her back pocket she pulled out a yellow translucent lighter. Bringing the lighters flame to the tip of her cig, Maxie inhaled and smoke began to drift into the air.

Jack let his blue green eyes scan the room once again. He then preceded to take off his hat and put it on the table. He heard her mention something about him being a smoker. He noticed that she had Pulled out a pack of cigarettes. His eyes widened as he saw the shiny package. He looked up at her and back at the cigarettes. So she was a smoker as well, what luck. He watched her as she opened the cigarette package. She then pushed the garbage to the side. She then looked at him with her green eyes and pulled out a cigarette for herself.”Want one?” He then watched her put the cigarette in her mouth and light it. Smoke then continuously flowed from the tip of the cigarette, she pushed the pack closer to him. Jack first took the toothpick out of his mouth and put it to the side. He hesitated at first then reached for the pack of smokes, he pulled out a cigarette and put it in his mouth. He then pulled out a silver Zippo lighter and ignited it, putting the flame to the cigarette and inhaling. "Thank you."He said with a smile as he pushed the pack back towards her.
The waitress then came back with his order. She placed it down and walked away still holding her fake smile. Jack took the cigarette out of his mouth, took a drink of the coffee and then put the cigarette back between his lips. Jack surprisingly didn't know what to talk about. He knocked some ashes from his cigarette into the ash tray and then matched his eyes with Max's before putting the cigarette back into his mouth. He leaned against the table letting his arms rest on it. "So how long have you been a werewolf Max?" He asked in a hushed tone, not wanting to startle any of the employees.

Maxine smiled towards him as he removed his hat and stared at the pack of cigarettes she had placed on the table. Sitting back into the chair, Max folded her free arm around her stomach and continued to inhale on her cig. Looking to him as he finally leant in and picked up the packet and light his own, Maxine gave a nod of her head as he thanked her. Lips parted as she leant forwards and grabbed the packet from the table and placed them to one side, ”No problem. I’ll leave them to one side, help yourself.” she laughed slightly as grey smoke slipped out from her lips. Extending her arm, the red haired girl flicked to ash from the end into a silver ashtray that was settled between them. Looking towards him for the moment, Max watched as the waitress returned with his order and placed his drink down onto the table and gradually walked away. At this moment, Max let out a sigh and turned her head to glance out the window. It was still raining, so no surprise there. It was going to be one of those days.
The room was silent and Max couldn’t think of anything to say. She looked down to her cigarette and watched the smoke rise from the tip into the air. Eyes adverted from the smoke and trailed to the green haired man, lifting her hand to her lips, Max inhaled once more and peered to the table. Well, this was exciting wasn’t it. Hearing movement in front of her, Max directed her eyes towards Jack, watching as he lent forwards and rested his arms onto the table. The red head was taken by surprise at his question. Grunting slightly as smoke left her mouth, Max looked to him for the moment. Remaining silent. Slowly Max flicked a bit of ash into the tray and peered to the table. Lips parted and she replied hesitantly, ”Five years.” After a few seconds, Max brought her gaze to Jacks’, ”How ‘bout yourself?” Max had never been asked that question, nor had she ever asked another person. It was a strange and different conversation.
