Darkness fell upon the dreary city of New York, the over pollution of light blocking out the flickering cluster of stars within the deep purple and blackened sky above. The only natural light that beamed in its greatness was that of the luminous full moon. Car horns and voices echoing noisily within the streets. New York….the city that never sleeps.
Long, dark red hair flowed behind a tall pale girl as she walked along the concrete path, trainers scuffing lightly as she trailed down the street. A soft breeze whistling within her highly sensitive ears, almost as if it were speaking to her. Dark green eyes gleamed in the orange lights of the army of streetlamps that lined the roads, their brightness almost blinding to her eyes. Max needed darkness, solitude. The only place that the girl knew she could gain all of this was central park, and central park was where she was heading.
Pace quickened as green eyes saw darkness ahead, the end of the street growing near. The light of the moon stronger within the shadows of the park, its soft white rays of light reflecting gently on her pale skin. A tingling feeling came over Max, teeth clenched as a sharp pain surged through her limbs, time was drawing near. Soon she wouldn’t be able to hold off the transformation for any longer, she needed to conceal herself in darkness, be alone through the agonising shift. Suddenly her eyes flashed a dangerous, piercing shade of yellow, pupils enlarging. In a quickened jog, Max bolted painfully towards the trees that scattered the area.
Reddish brown fur began to sprout from her skin, falling to her knees, an agonising grunt escaped her clenched teeth. Maxine had gone through these changes countless of times, the pain was always the same. Where her nails had been, sharp claws now pushed through her fingertips. Joints cracked and muscles convulsed. Being forced to shift was the most painful experience a werewolf like herself could possible go through. Changing on your own freewill however, was less painful.
A small growl rumble from Max’s new form, claws digging into the moist earth of the grass. Long tail thrashed behind her as she lifted her head to peer towards the skies. The world was more vibrant, sharp in her perspective. Seeing everything with new eyes. A snarl escaped her black lips, saliva glazing her ivory fangs, all humanity gone from her soul, the animalistic instincts warping her mind as she chased off into the darkness.
Piercing yellow eyes shimmered, large paws walking heavily forwards. The moist grass wetting reddish brown fur as Max lurked within the forest like surroundings of the trees. Black nose twitched as she scented the polluted air, car fumes drifting into the atmosphere. The airs had been tainted by the humans. With a low growl, ears pivoted atop her large head as the winds blew, the sound of the swings creaking eerily within the distance. Sharp claws dug into the earth as she stalked onwards, beastly eyes forever searching. Following her nose, Max crept closer towards the park. Hungry, stomach rumbling, Max knew there had to be someone foolishly gallivanting around these parts in the middle of the night. Unaware of what really lurked within the night. Maybe a few drunk teens or a romantic couple or two. Whatever Max would come across, she would stalk and she would kill.

Conall had been trapped in this godforsaken city; and tonight was the Full Moon. He glowered up at it; he never lost himself completely anymore, he was too bonded with his wolf for that to happen, but he hated being in unfamiliar surroundings during the change. He had headed for the only real foliage around, Central Park. He had closed his eyes and allowed the shift to pass over his body. It didn't really hurt anymore, more like a raging fire over his body as it morphed and his bones and joints became liquid before moving into their new positions.
He had stashed most of his clothing in a convenient hollow and had marked the tree for finding later. No sense worrying the police with sets of clothing laying about; there was too much potential for dead bodies to concern himself with. He had scented another wolf nearby, and that could not be good. His dual mind could slow him tonight and there were sure to be casualities. He padded around the playground purposefully hitting the swings with his massive form. As a man Conall was only 5'11" but as a wolf he was a massive creature of sinewey muscle and brute strength.
His nose detected the other wolf drawing nearer; he snorted like a slight laugh, his muzzle was pulled back in what most humans might think of as a snarl but was the wolf equivalent of a grin. His liquid gold eyes surveyed the area carefully appraising the entry points and the scent of the wolf, a she-wolf at that. Great, that could work to his advantage if she were a loner. He was his own wolf and as such was an Alpha Male. He was also uniquely able to control his wolf, so he could hale her hunt and not kill innocents if she gave him a chance.
Unfortunately the other's usually wanted to fight and never gave him a chance to try to convince them otherwise. So he waited with his grin and his eyes shining in the moonlight for her to take those last couple of steps into the playground clearing.

Paws carried Max around the edges of the eerie night filled park, piercing golden eyes gleaming within the moonlight as she prowled within the distance. Her ears swivelled atop her lean head as she listened to the gentle whistling of the winds, the leaves rustling within the distance around her. Leathery nose twitched as she scented the grounds, eyes darting towards the playground as an unfamiliar scent was slowly inhaled. Muscular reddish furred frame tensed, head jerking upwards slightly as the sound of the swings rattling up ahead broke the silence. The female’s right ear twitched backwards as she felt the small breeze, taking note that it wasn’t strong enough to shift the heavy chains. A snort escaped her nose as she straightened her posture, unsure on what to do now. Max hadn’t expected to come across another werewolf tonight, nor was she experienced at it. Maxine had always roamed alone, hunted alone. She had spent years being with no one else but herself.
Tail swayed behind her as her animalistic mind raced in thought. Should she be defensive and approach this stranger? Or should she hide and avoid him? Giving her head a vigorous shake, curiosity got the better of her. Before she knew it, Max’s long limbs automatically guided her forwards, paws treading carefully as she lurked her way closer towards the playground. Ears stood erect atop her head as she listened anxiously for any sudden sound that would give off the male’s exact location, leathery nostrils flaring as she kept on his scent.
Body hunched and tensed, Maxie finally crept her way into the clearing. Golden eyes searched desperately for the stranger within the darkness, a mix of anxiety and excitement began to fill her as she scanned the shadowed area. Straightening herself as she sniffed the airs, Max glanced around her cautiously and began to trend forwards with small steps. The reddish wolves stare never straying around her, but constantly staring ahead. He was around here somewhere, she could sense as well as smell his presence. With each step she took it became stronger.

Conall gave off a soft coughing bark as he watched her warily step from the cover of foliage, he was glad she had not decided to run, he would have hated to have to chase her before he even knew her. He stood still where he was, just past the swings yet occluded by a huge climbing gym of sorts from her direct line of sight. She was wary, he could note that, and her fur glinted reddish in the moonlight. He bristled his haunches and his own fur shone dark chocolate brown in the soft lunar rays. She wasn't as tall as he was, nor a broad across the chest, but she was also not terribly young.
He coughed out another laugh, he was not often given to playfulness yet this she-wolf could be fun to play chase with if given the opportunity. She would be fast with her sleek lines and that would make for interest. He watched her waiting for the moment she caught sight of him. He was in a non-offensive posture, head cocked to one side, tail half mast and curved up playfully. His stance could not be mistaken for hostility, no sense in getting her defensive from the start.
He also did not move, he wanted her to come upon him, it would give her the edge to feel in control and make it less hostile. Instead he occupied himself with sniffing the breeze, pinpointing the location of all the other beings around the park. He could smell small game; rabbits and squirrel, a few birds roosting for the night. There was a stray dog off to his left, the unmistakable scent of derelection and rough living wafted off it in a cloud. There were humans too but they were far enough away for now. Barely even enough to register save for his sensitive nose. He turned his still grinning muzzle to her arrival. Ahh, she was close enough to see him now...let the dance begin.

Ears pricked upwards at the sound of barking laughter, eyes peered towards the climbing apparatus that loomed inside the park. Black nose twitched as Max squinted her eyes to peer into the darkness, a soft playful growl rumbled within her throat out of anxiety to catch a glimpse of the male. Tail swayed behind her as she shifted her body to move forwards, the red wolf wanted to see this other that lurked within the same area as her, she was becoming impatient and curious. Paws carried her forwards, moving in a quickened pace, her body slithering through the darkness that concealed central park. Golden eyes gleamed in the moonlight as they darted around, the moonlight aiding her in her quest to catch the male. Nostrils flared as she lowered her nose to the floors, eyes staring up ahead. He was here and she was getting close to him.
There. There he was. Golden eyes noticed the dark shimmer of fur. The female straightened her posture and gave a small roll of her shoulders,. Tilting her head curiously to the side as she looked to him, she couldn‘t help but notice how big he was, bigger then her and much more muscular. Tail wagged behind her steadily as she took notice of his casual posture. A wolfish grin upon her muzzle as she looked to him with a questionable gaze. Max watched as he smiled, he didn’t seem at all hostile and seemed to be no threat. Lowering her head to the ground, eyes staring up at him, max shifted herself forwards slowly. As she approached him with less caution then she had before, she stopped a decent distance away from him and continued to stare at him with that same questionable gaze. Now standing before him, Max awaited for the male to make any sort of movement. That’s, if he did.
ooc: Sorry it's a little short =(

Conall watched her as she finally approached. His grin widened as she came nearer. He waited for her to stop and then he approached closer. He barked a question Will you hunt with me tonight? His posture was that of the alpha, the leader, although he had no pack he was used to being in control. He assumend a control stance, still relaxed yet his muscles rippled. He was hungry and the wolf was dominant tonight, although the man was not far behind. He would try to keep them from hunting humans there was some nice game in the area, a herd of deer which he could hardly believe could survive here in Central Park. He loved venison, it was a choice even in human form over domestic meat.
He scented the air to pinpoint the loction of the herd again in the night air. It was a challenge over all the pollution that encompassed everything in this city. He looked at her and then in the direction of the herd, pointing with his muzzle so she could find it too. Then he shifted his body so that he could spring off in that direction and feed. This would sate the wolf for the time being. There was enough of a chase to keep the wolf at bay and fresh meat and blood to feast on.
His face changed; his mizzle was curved into a snarl now but he was not growling...yet. He was excited and the wolf jumped gleefully to the front ready for the hunt that would ensue. He whined in anticipation and looked back at the she-wolf; was she ready? He hoped so because he was, and he wasn't in a mood to have to really babysit...he was not going to let her kill any innocent human, but he was going to hunt his fill. He barked again Lets go then, it's time to hunt girl! And then he sprang forward.

Head tilted to the side as Maxie noticed the other smile broaden. The wolfess didn’t move as she stood before the broader in shoulder and much more muscular male. Lowering her head, golden eyes always upon his large form, Maxine’s ears pivoted atop her lean head as he suddenly began to walk towards her, closing the gap between them. Reddish fur bristled down her back as she watched him with cautious eyes, though his bark caught her off guard and she straightened herself instantly. Tilting her head again at his question, her tail began to wag slightly behind her. Licking her muzzle slowly, Max turned her head and glanced around the area. Brining her amber gaze back to the brown coloured werewolf she almost smiled and barked in reply, Certainly. Her tongue hung out from the side of her mouth as she stared at him curiously for the moment. Max had never gone on a hunt with another of her own species, she couldn’t help herself from becoming overwhelmed with excitement.
Maxine took note of his alpha-like position and the dominant stance that he took before her. He was the leader clearly from what she could see and truthfully she didn’t mind it. Max watched as he began to scent the air, ears twitching atop her head as she copied his motion. Leathery nostrils flared as she scented the aromas that filled the park. The stale scent of humans and domestic canines, but the new scent came to her, coming from far away in the distance. Looking down, eyes staring towards the male, Maxie watched as he looked to her then in the direction of the herd he had located before she could even have known about it. Lifting her muzzle to where he pointed, she gave a slight nod of her head and lowered her nose. Copying his movements, Max shifted herself in the general direction they would soon be taking off in.
Lifting her paws forwards, Max stopped as she glanced towards the male. His face had changed into an expression which almost seemed like a snarl. Ears flicked backwards against her head as she watched him warily. A puzzled look fell across her face as he began to jump gleefully forwards filled with excitement. Maxie too was excited, but she knew she had to be careful. She didn’t know this wolf, or what he was capable of doing. Ears arched forwards as his whine in anticipation and Maxine smiled. Large paws carried her forwards instantly as he barked to her, black lips curled into a playful growl and she barked, C’mon then, lead the way. And as he bolted forwards, Maxine growled cheerily and followed suit, long limbs guiding her straight after him.
