The man stepped out of the air port terminal, into the blinding light of the dessert sun. Viva Las Vegas indeed, Alex thought to himself as he shielded his eyes from the over power rays of the unrelenting sun. He frowned and reached into his jacket pocket and took out a pair of beat up old black sunglasses. Then quickly took the jacket off and tossed it over his suitcase. He had won a bunch of money last night in a high stakes poker game in Atlantic City, so now he was trying his luck with the big dogs.
He grinned, a cocky thing that would have made his eyes twinkle mischievously if they were not hidden behind the dark sunglasses. He whirled the set of keys he had gotten from the car rental office around his finger and then set off towards the lot that held the rental cars. He had picked out something fast, something that he was now thinking of stealing before he left town. It was a ruby red 08 Dodge Charger. A car that most men would drool over, Alex included. He hit the unlock key on the remote as he came up to the beautiful piece of machinery. The car unlocked its doors and then popped its trunk. Alex whistled under his breath and then tossed his single duffle bag into the truck and slammed it shut.
He slid into the comfortable interior of the gorgeous car, whos beauty could only be rivaled by a stunning woman. Alex growled lightly as he ran his fingers over the steering wheel. Perfect, he thought as he slid the key into the ignition of the car slowly. And then cranked the engine to life with a roar of power. Alex laughed, flipped on the radio to the nearest rock station and whipped the car out of the lot and was away from the air port in minutes. He didn’t know where he was going yet, but he was going to a casino and hotel for sure… He needed a room and a drink and maybe a few hands of cards.

BIC// Alex drove till he found a hotel and casino that fit his taste, the Venetian. The large casino stood in the place that used to be The Sands. But now, it was all new. The Venetian and its sister complex The Palazzo are high class joints, one of the reasons he picked it. Alex swung the Charger into the drive way of the Venetian and handed the keys to the valet, tipping the kid 20 to take care of the car. Then grabbed his bag and headed into the grand hotel.
Upon entering the lobby Alex was in awe. The lobby was elegant, graceful and colored in golds, and creams with splashes of darker colors for contrast. He smiled to himself, this was the place, he had chosen well. He walked to the receptionist counter, a long counter that took up almost a whole wall and checked into a suite. He had decided on a rather expensive one, one with a terrace. He didn’t know how long he would be here, but he did know he wanted to be comfortable for his stay.
He was to stay in the Venezia Tower, in a suite nearing the 7th floor next to the pool. The bellhop carried his bag for him up to his room, he tipped him before closing the door and taking in the suite. It was huge, a living room area, and terrace, a king bed and a huge bathroom. This was way more than he needed, but it was nice to have the choice. Alex tossed his stuff on the bed, cranked the AC and then went to the terrace. He pulled open the French doors and stepped out into the sun again. He went to the edge and looked over, down to the pool gardens below. “Fuckin’ eh man… Fucking eh….”
Alex then took a deep breath of the warm dessert air and went back into his room. He needed a shower and then was going to head down to one of the restaurants. After a quick shower and changing into more fitting attire, a pair of black slacks, boots and a button down dark blue dress shirt over a plain white t-shirt, Alex was ready to head down to get some food. And then maybe look around the casino.
Alex made it down to the restaurants, only getting a little lost, this place was huge. It had canals in it with gondolas for Christ sake, not to mention the Palazzo next door. He had settled on a place called Zeffirino, an Italian seafood place. He was seated at a small table by himself near a window over looking the canal that he had walked along to get there. The place was nice, but Alex was thinking he might have bit off more than he could chew when it came to staying at this place.. it was all too huge and grand but who knows, he could get use to it.
He ordered a simple glass of tea, didn't want to start drinking too early, and then ordered something he couldnt pronounce off the menu. Alex smiled to himself and then looked out the window... enjoying the view of the canal and all the people walking along it, and the people in the gondolas floating along in the water. The waitress came back with his drink, he smiled and thanked her, she was cute... and then took a sip and turned back to the window once again...

Lillianna had decided that she needed a break from the everyday and cashed in her vacation hours, giving her a free few days away from The Exchange. She had decided that she needed to get farther away than that, and hopped the first night flight to the sin city Las Vegas. Lillie had never been to Las Vegas, but her father had said he would take care of the last minute arrangements. He had connections, or something like that. Lillie didn’t often care for Garret Devonshire’s connections, but tonight she was grateful. She had stepped off the plane to be greeted by a man in a suit holding a sign with her name on it. The star treatment, that was her fathers way. She went with the man, got her luggage and then was whisked away from the airport via limo and taken to a tall hotel, the name on which was The Palazzo. The sister hotel of The Venetian. Lillie was taken into the hotel, introduced to her Concierge and then rushed up to her room and left alone there. Lillie shut the door after the bellhop and concierge left and sighed. She then turned around and took in the room one more time. It was huge, her fathers connections paid off. There was a gift basket and a vase of well over a dozen red roses on the dining table. She smiled and walked over. The basket was from the hotel, basic necessities filled it as well as flyers for different attractions and the concierge number once again, assuring Lillie if she needed anything to just call. The brown haired girl smiled, and then noticed a card on the flowers, she picked it off and opened it. The flowers were from her father, informing her that everything was paid for, and that she should take this vacation for as long as she needs. She had nothing to worry about back in New York and he hoped she felt better and EmmaLee sends her love. Lillie smiled, her eyes filling with some tears. She loved her father, and her step mother. She set the card down and continued to explore the room. It was made up in light colors of cream and gold, a common color scheme for this hotel it seemed. The large sectional sofa curled around a coffee table of mahogany wood. A desk sat on one side of the room, and along one wall was a large window, outside of which danced the lights of the city. There was a bar along one wall and then a doorway. She went in and gasped. The bed was huge, not just a king, but much larger, way beyond anything she needed. There was also a large window in this room, to that she frowned a little and checked the curtain, it was thick, should be good enough. But if not, she could always sleep in the bathroom, as odd as that would be. She wandered into the bathroom, which was about as big as the bedroom. It had a large glass enclosed shower, and a corner whirlpool tub along with the basics that every bathroom has. Lillie couldn’t believe that her father had gotten her such a beautiful room. But then again, she could. Her father was always grand. She went and grabbed her bag from the living room and rolled it into the bedroom and lugged it up onto the bed. She unzipped it and sighed, the clothing she had packed didn’t go with the room… But she started to put it away anyway, she had a feeling she might be here for a while and living out of a suitcase just didn’t sound appealing. As she emptied her clothing into the dresser she found something that needed to be hung up. She went to the armoir to put it in and was shocked to find a gorgeous black dress hanging there, along with a pair of cute stiletto heels, sitting on the floor of it. There was a note in the shoe. Lillie rolled her eyes and hung up her garmet and then grabbed the second note, wondering how much thought her father put into this, but she knew the dress was all EmmaLee. The envelope that contained the note also had a credit card in it, the note said “You have no limit to your vacation, enjoy.” Her parents must have been horribly worried about her these past few weeks. She suddenly felt horrible. She sighed and grabbed her toiletry bag and went into the bathroom. After a quick shower, she did her hair in a cute but simple updo and then headed out. She was thirsty… and this town was probably one of the easiest hunting grounds around. She managed to avoid her overzealous concierge and made it out behind the Palazzo. There was a cute ‘little Venice’ back there, complete with canal in gondolas. She had dressed in the black dress that was left for her, the cute little thing fit her quite well, and the heels clicked on the walkway as she made her way through the crowds. She wasn’t sure what she was looking for, but she had decided she would know when she found it… Attire:XOXO Location:XOXO Count: 875 Lyrics: 3 Doors Down Credit: Mercer Notes: Ha. You said I wouldn't. Oh and, I pushed the time back... because Lillie can't come out during the day...

Alex had enjoyed his dinner at the restaurant, it was totally worth the crazy amount that they charged him. He stayed seated in the restaurant for a long time, just watching people outside and watching the sun set over the Vegas skyline. He sat and enjoyed a few drinks, the waitress sat and talked to him for a moment or two, asking about his travels. But nothing had come from it, she was probably expecting a good tip, and she wouldn’t be disappointed. He would leave her a nice tip, once he was ready to leave.
The canal outside was now lit up, the sun was down and the city was glowing in the darkness of the dessert. He sighed and stretched and then decided it was time to move on and find something that was equally if not more interesting than sitting here in this emptying restaurant. He stood, left a hefty tip on the table and then turned and left the restaurant. As he stpped out into the new Las Vegas night he took a deep breath and froze. His gray eyes narrowed and he looked down the street. He could smell something that was slightly familiar, but at the same time, so very different.
His eyes searched the crowd till his eyes came upon what he was looking for. There, in the midst of the crowd was that brown haired waitress from that ritzy club over in New York. That girl he took home and slept with one night. But, she was.. A vampire now. What the hell, he had only slept with her.. what… a year ago? And now she was one of the living dead? Fucking crazy. It made no sense, but then again, what did when it came to those blood suckers? Not that he has anything against vampires, hell he likes them sometimes, but that girl had been so sweet.
He slowly started towards her, taking her in as he moved through the crowd getting nearer. The dress was tight, black and short. It looked good on her. Her legs were long the shoes she wore made them longer. He remembered why he had gone home with her that night. The outfit the girls had to wear at that bar was a little out there, corsets and fedors. But it was hot and she looked do damn good that night. He had wanted her badly that night, and sure enough, he wanted her again.
But she was different now, a vampire, and sneaking up on a vampire was not always the smartest thing to do. He frowned and then decided to go to her. “Hey you…” He said as he came up to her and slipped his arms around her, hugging her. Probably was inappropriate but whatever, he didn’t care right now. “Long time no see cutie…” He had left her apartment before she woke up after they had sex, and he never talked to her or went to that bar again. But now was time to maybe… rekindle an old flame?

Lillie was pretty sure she had no idea where she was going or what she was doing. Though she was kind of thirsty. She frowned at that thought, she hated drinking blood. And she didn’t know any of the blood banks around here. Kalina would tell her to shut up and just find a cute boy, but Lillie wasn’t as casual about this as Kalina. Though Kalina had been a great help to her when she finally went back to work and Kalina found out what happened. It didn’t take long before Kalina and Lilly were good friends, or at least that’s how Lillie felt most of the time. She wandered through the crowd aimlessly and finally decided that maybe she should try her luck in one of the casinos? Or maybe find a nice show somewhere to enjoy? She wasn’t sure, but she knew she should be heading for the strip instead of wandering around little venice. She smiled to herself and then started towards the strip to find something interesting to do to pass the time while the sun was down. Lillie stopped, and listened and then smelled it. She suddenly got flashbacks from before her change of a tall young man, about her age. -- Them walking at The Exchange, them laughing and flirting, them walking home, them having sex and then her waking up alone.-- She frowned. Alex… Her eyes narrowed and she turned her back on the direction he was coming from and started the other way quickly. She didn’t want to have anything to do with that man ever again. Yeah, it was fun.. but really? Was it worth it? She stopped quickly to let a group of some kind of ethnicity cross the path in front of her and then suddenly arms were around her from behind and she was stuck. “Hey you…” She rolled her eyes and sighed, damn him, damn him to hell. She wanted so badly to hurt him right now. Her blue eyes burned with a flame of pure hatred. Then, she turned around in his arms and looked at him, and it all melted away. She was aware now of why she went home with him… “Long time no see cutie…” She blinked and then smiled at him, hating herself while she did it, but her body was reacting to him now, not really her brain. She smirked at him, “Yeah.. its been a while…” She was wondering how she should play this off, and then, she knew. She wouldn’t remember who he was. “I guess… umm could you let me go? And who are you?” She asked, putting a lost and confused look on her face. Then stepped away from him, putting a decent distance between them, a comfortable distance for someone who wouldn’t know the other. “Sorry.. I’m just not good with remembering some people…” She said and then glanced away, as if she was looking for someone else. She was hoping this was going to work, either get him to leave her alone, or make him a little angry that he was so not memorable. She then looked back at him, a friendly smile on her face, friendly but cautious. Attire:XOXO Location:XOXO Count: 530 Lyrics: 3 Doors Down Credit: Mercer Notes: xoxo

His arms were around her and she froze, that was a good sign? Maybe. Maybe not. He wasn't sure yet. Then she was facing him and he had to admit, the paleness of being dead, suited her. She was beautiful. Then a smirk crossed her lips and he wondered what she was thinking, what she felt about seeing him again after so long and how he left her. “Yeah.. its been a while…” Her voice was a little different. But she was a vampire now. He smiled slightly and it faltered a little, he wondered when it happened, how and if he could have stopped this... He didn't dislike vampires, but he would not have chosen this for anyone. “I guess… umm could you let me go? And who are you?”
Alex blinked, had he really been that unmemorable? He let her go, now feeling a little awkward that he had done that and she didn't even know who he was anymore. “Sorry.. I’m just not good with remembering some people…” He frowned a little and watched her look around. He was pretty sure that he was right and this was Lillie, but was he wrong? No, he wasn't. She may be a vampire, but she still smelt a little like her human self. "Are you going to play me that way? Really?" He frowned a little. He could make this rather awkward and get her to remember. But he wasn't sure if that was the way to go with this one.
He smiled and leaned in a little. "Come one, The Exchange, in New York. You work there... it was before... you... turned into this..." He shrugged a little. "But it wasn't that long ago. We went home together... and... well I left before you woke up.. sorry about that. I'm just not good with the whole, 'morning after thing'. You know?" He frowned and rolled his eyes a little. "It's Alex, I know you remember, Lillie... I remember you..."He smirked.

He let her go and she relaxed greatly. Happy not to be in his arms, yet some part of her missed the feel of them already. Damn this man, damn him to hell. "Are you going to play me that way? Really?" She looked at him, keeping that lost look on her face, like she really had no clue as to who this man was that suddenly came up to her and wrapped his arms around her. But her body knew him, and it was getting harder to fake it. She knew him, his scent, his eyes... He was nice to look at. A little rugged but still worth looking at. His smile was there, that charming smile that melts women's hearts. "Come one, The Exchange, in New York. You work there... it was before... you... turned into this..." She raised an eyebrow. This? She smirked. "But it wasn't that long ago. We went home together... and... well I left before you woke up.. sorry about that. I'm just not good with the whole, 'morning after thing'. You know?" She tilted her head to the side a little and thought about it. He did remember with a little more detail that she thought he would. "It's Alex, I know you remember, Lillie... I remember you..."Lillie watched him, with that blank look on her face while she wondered if she should give in and remember him. She decided that she might as well have someone she knows to hang out with in this city. So she put the bright smile on her face, pushing it to her eyes and began to giggle a little. "Oh my god! Alex... Yeah, I remember. Wow... it must be weird to see me like this... so soon after... you know... But hey... things happen right?" She said and shrugged a little. She glanced around and then looked back at him. "Where are you headed to? I don't have any plans as of right now... Care if I join you?" She asked with that winning smile on her lips. She was sure that this would lead to something she regrets, but right now, she was just happy to be away from New York and somewhere warmer, and a little less like home. She was hoping to not be herself for the time she is in Las Vegas. Attire:XOXO Location:XOXO Count: 390 Lyrics: 3 Doors Down Credit: Mercer Notes: xoxo
