Nada walked through the crowd her hands firmly dug into her pockets. Trying to avoid contact with the many people meandering past her. Not an easy thing to do on one the busiest streets in New Orleans. Still she tried, but it didn't take her long, to decide that fighting the crowd was about as easy as fighting the income tide. You could either go with it, and drown, or get out.
Opting for out Nada ducked into one of the lesser used (at least by the general public) side streets and continued on her way. Following the twists and turns as she made her way to the address she'd been given. She hated running these kinds of earns but she needed the money and there worse things she could do.
With her pack slung tightly over her shoulder and the hood of her sweater up. The sunglasses she'd been wearing on the main street now hooked into the collar of her shirt. She marched on, bobbing her head to Gun's and Roses 'Welcome to the Jungle' as it sang out through her ear buds.
God it was hot. It was about the only thing Nada truly hated about New Orleans. The crowds, the food, the noise, she loved. But the heat was a killer. So were the people crowding in at the end of the street. Bloods. And Nada was trespassing.
"Right lets be a stupid little white girl and take the street that leads you into Bloods Territory. You've only been to New Orleans how many times?" Nada chided rolling her eyes as she came to an abrupt stop in the middle of the street weighing her options. Of which there was only running, since the odds were five to her lowly one.
Watching as they slowly came toward her, like a pack of lions readying for the hunt a idiotic smile spread across her lips. "Heh. Wrong turn." she offered, lamely as she watched the proceed in their coming. What she next she couldn't stop herself from doing. She waved bye to them. Then broke out into a hard run. Pulling down trash cans and boxes as she did. Never looking behind to see if they were following. She could hear them well enough as they yelled and jumped or crashed into the debris she'd left behind in her wake.
"Oh right Nada. Let's taunt the Gang members. That's not a sure way to get you ass kicked." she snapped at herself as she ran. Truly she was sometimes amazed at just how stupid she could be. She didn't have a death wish but you think so with some of the moronic moves she'd made.

Basset smelled gangs, she hated gangs. They were wimps, cowards, pathetic pieces of bone and skin that walked this earth with no just full cause. They killed the innocent, and didn't even have the balls to do it in their face. Always with the drive-by's, never showing their faces, cowardly bastards they were. And she wanted to kill them all, or at least the ones that had no remorse.
She turned down an ally,, following them, hunting them. There was a girl here, an innocent woman who simply walked down the wrong way, and they were going to jump her, if not rape her. But this one had instincts, she ran. The gang tried to follow, although the woman was doing a fair job her self. She had knocked over trashcans a such to help prevent them from catching her.
Basset laughed out loud, and the the pursuers stooped and looked toward her. A wicked smile slide across her face, then she shifted and attacked them. The first one was paralyzed if fear as she tore into his chest. This heartless drug dealer finally felt the terror that he struck into them as he but off their fingers for not paying. This man was evil and he payed for it. The next two tried to run, but they were no match for her, they were both dead with thirty seconds.
The last man, he was different. He wasn't evil hearted, just in the wrong pace. He needed to money and couldn't get it honestly. He had a family to take care of. She paused her claws were digging into his chest and tears were rolling down his face. "Please I have a family!" She shifted back to her human form. "I know. Get out of the gang life." She got up and walked away toward the direction that the woman ran, she didn't feel like walking over the bodies.

Nada ran until her legs could no longer carry her, by which time the hammering of her heart in her ears had drowned out the noise of her pursuers. Leaving her hunched over hands on her knees and breathless with exhaustion. Gasping for air waiting for any indication as to whether or not she was still being followed.
But all she heard was the faint sound of yelling and possibly the sharp angry barking of a dog. Hopefully the assholes had ran into someones guard dog and were now getting their asses chewed. Literally. But just to labor on the safe side Nada decided not to stick around and find out. Leaning up wiping her face and mouth with the back of her hand she scanned her surroundings. For the most part the area looked deserted. A neon sign flickered a couple blocks down the street to her right some store windows illuminated at bit after it. To her left was a cemetery.
With annoyed roll of her eyes Nada got out of the street. Cursing her luck. First she goes down the wrong street and nearly gets mugged if not a whole lot worse then she ends up across the street from a cemetery. Nada hated cemeteries. Not because they were creepy, she didn't find them creepy in the least matter-of-fact she'd always thought them incredibly peaceful. It just seemed that she somehow spent a great majority of her free time there.
"Okay. Options are brightly let street couple blocks down the road. Or dark and creepy cemetery to you immediate right." With the street came people and safety in numbers (depending largely on who the people were stupid tourists for example). With the cemetery dark, plenty of hiding places and the huge advantage that there they're we're too many people who wanted to be in a cemetery at night. "Ah Crap." Nada bit dropping her head and jogging toward the cemetery.

Basset was going to head for a bar, but decided against it tonight. She pulled on her leather motorcycle jacket and slipped into a convenient store. The bell on the door rung as she stepped into the dimly lit room. The guy at the counter was on the phone but smiled and waved. She returned the gesture with a small smile and a head nod, then headed straight for the soda. She was craving a Dr. Pepper at the moment. She opened the fridge and pulled out a six pack, and walked back to the front. The cashier was about fifty and off the phone. She put the soda on the counter and pulled out her wallet. "Will that be all for ya' ma'am? The man said in a deep Louisiana accent. She smiled, "Yes sir, it is." The man rang up her purchase and looked at the screen, "That'll be 5.75 ma'am." She took out a fifty and placed it on the counter. "thank ya' kindly, sir. Keep the change." winking, she picked up her soda and proceeded to walk out the door.
She was on her way back to her friends apartment when she came across the same woman's scent. The woman still thought that the would-be muggers were after her. She hid about 600 yards away. Basset looked down at her Dr. Pepper and shook her head. She really didn't like sharing her soda, but this girl smelled like she needed a friend. She hopped the fence and landed in the green grass of a local cemetery. She stood up and followed the woman scent.

Nada wondered through the cemetery, trying the doors to small crypts and tombs. Seeing if any would open to her for the night. So far her luck hadn't been that good. But then that was generally the case. Nada was not a girl of good fortune, nor was she one that lady luck smiled upon. It seemed more often than not that she was scorned by her. And if Nada ever got the chance to meet the lady, she'd be sure to show her just how much she appreciated her with swift punch to the nose. However Nada never would so she didn't dwell on it.
Nada learned long ago that going with the flow was easier than trying to ride against. Though whether or not she fought depended entirely on the situation. Such as her present one of looking for shelter in a Graveyard. Oh there was one to tell the grandkids if ever she had any. The Night granny stupidly went down the wrong street, nearly got mugged and ended up sleeping in a cemetery because she didn't have anyplace else to go.
"Well better a cemetery than a hospital." Nada muttered as she continued to scan her surrounding. Plopping down on a bench, to take the rest she hadn't taken since she'd stopped running from the gang.
As far as cemeteries went this one wasn't half bad. Quite, frogs crickets and other animals of the night chirping in the background. A crescent moon above framed by the feathery silver of the surrounding clouds. If there were stars Nada didn't notice them. All she saw was the white glow of the Cheshire cats smile above. "Pretty." the word from her mouth with all the wonder of a child viewing their first falling star.

She wonder the cemetery, following the humans scent. The six pack in her hand was cold, and the cool chill of the night penetrated the layers of her leather jacket. the grass was soft green and the grave stones old and worn. She didn't want to scare the woman with her presence but the poor child seemed as if she needed a friend in the dark world. Though Basset wasn't the greatest of influences, she was good company when it came right down to it...You can be a good friend when needed, you even made nice with a couple vampires. If this human needs some company than so be it. You did just save her ass...
She took a hard left and the scent drew stronger, this woman knew nothing of hide from anything but the stupidest of humans. She laughed to her self and turned to her right...If this woman had anyone but dull gang bangers after her, she would be dead in a heart beat..
She spotted the woman by a rather large gave stone and looking at the sky. It was a beautiful night, she had to admit. She approached the woman, walking up right next to her and looked up at the sky"Saw what happened to you back there, you should walk in dark allies in this part of town. Took care of 'em for ya' though"- She held up the six pack, still looking at the stars - "Dr. Pepper?

Looking over her shoulder Nada scanned the woman up and down before making her final decision of speak or sneak. And seeing how the woman was taking claim for dismantling her attackers, sneaking probably wouldn't do any thing more than insult her. And Nada had slightly more since than to piss off whatever this woman was by running away. Not that she could. At the moment if Nada could move it wouldn't be any further than to fall off the bench she was sitting on.
And quite frankly Nada was tired of running and she really wanted one of those D.P.'s. She couldn't remember that last time she'd had a soda.
"Sure." Nada replied throwing a glance to the sodas. Then up to the woman. "Thanks. For the save and the drink. Now what are you W or V? Cause no human short of being crazy like me would come out here. And you don't seem that crazy." She asked straddling the bench as she moved to get a better look at the woman. For some reasoning (probably because of the moon or that fact that the adrenalin she'd been running was starting to wear off) Nada was feeling unusually pleasant and chatty. Her normal comments were no more than ten words at most.
"I'm Nada, by the way. And you are?" She asked, sliding around all the way to look at her would rescuer full on rather than back to front.

She pulled a Pepper from it's place and tossed it to her, without a second glance. At this moment she was concentrating less on the woman and on the stars. At first she simply looked at them so she wouldn't scare the human, but now she was suddenly captivated by them. They were beautiful tonight and she couldn't get over it. Then the human spoke and diverted her attentions back to the situation at hand.
She laughed when the woman asked "Now what are you W or V? Cause no human short of being crazy like me would come out here." ..This one knew of the supernatural, and yet she still ran around in dark Ally's like no one could touch her. Brilliant...
She took a soda from the plastic ringlets and set the rest on the ground. Her eyes met the womans as she popped the top and took a swig. While she was swallowing the woman introduced herself as Nada and asked her name. She sat down next to her, placing her Dr. Pepper down beside her. "Name's Basset, been a Lycan for eleven years." She stuck her hand out for a shake...This woman is a piece of work, does she have any survival instinct? Shaking hands with a Lycan that just admitted to killing three other men. She might actually be interesting...

With a thoughtful little smile Nada stared down at Basset's hand. It was a pretty hand, narrow with long graceful fingers. And while the gesture was practically a universal 'Hi I'm not going to kill you just yet'. Nada did nothing more than stare at it and try to decided whether or not she would be taking it.
Common curtsy demanded that she take it. If for no other reason than to show her gratitude, but the logic of what usually happened when she took the hand of anything living (or otherwise) screamed not to. Slips of memory for all the times she had filtered past her adding to her concern of what to do.
This woman, Basset, a wolf, who had taken care of her little gang problem. Could easily be as dangerous as she was helpful to her. However it would be to Nada's advantage to know just how much of a threat she posed to her. Then again, sometimes what she saw was more than she could handle. And Basset might take offense to Nada 'probing' her. Intentional or otherwise.
"Exactly how keen are you on privacy?" Nada asked still staring at Basset's hand. "Cause if I take that." She glanced from her hand to her face. "There's a fifty fifty percent chance I'm gonna know more about you than you want me to." she asked explained looking for any clue of what her intentions would be.
Generally Nada hated bring up her 'skill', but considering Basset was a wolf. She doubted she'd find Nada's declaration all that strange. Maybe something she hadn't heard of before, but not strange. For God's sake the woman became a wolf a couple days out of each mouth, had been doing it for the last eleven years. Just how weird could she find Nada's little talent?

Basset kept her hand were it was, and smiled at the human. apparently this one was a natural clairvoyant. Humans will super human abilities always intrigued her. They were endlessly interesting, and always up for something new and unusual. She took a deep inhale of Nada's scent and closed her eyes.
This one was a loner, one that didn't rely on anyone but her self. She roamed, and she worked the jobs that no one else thought existed. She was indeed a unique homoscapian, one that would prove to be a good ally if she wasn't to weary and tried to run from her. But everything in her scent said that she was nearly fearless, but not stupid. Basset opened her eyes gain and looked directly into Nada's. "I all ready know a hell of a lot about you, it would only be fair that you knew something about me. I have nothing to hide. I am a interesting read, or so I have been told by other clairvoyants."
Her hand still extended, Basset too a drink of her DP and waited for the humans response. She was patient to an extent, and could, and would wait until Nada felt comfortable enough to take her abnormally warm hand in the customary greeting that all Americans shared.
