VAMPIRES OR WEREWOLVES?

Here it is lovie's, you're on little debate thread :3 Keep it resonable guys, niether of them exist; so don't start like.. drama over this...
fake drama is okay. >.> you get what I mean. Say whatever you wish, claw each other's eyes out.. but reciever: don't take it personal! Haha, I'm not overly worried but, just had to put a disclaimer. So there it is.

I am not passionate about either, probably because my main character isn't species-ist but just prefers vamps xD I feel pretty much the same.

My thoughts unveiled!:

Pros:

-Vampires are prettier, and stay prettier.. no arguments there xD it's in da books!
-The immortality thing is very romantic
-Ellie isn't THAT MUCH of a fur fan. It's not sexay. She doesn't even like hairy chests/arms/legs.
-They drink blood. And can get fancy about it and like.. yeah.
-They don't have to run a muck ever full moon mindlessly!!

Cons:

-Mentals... the lot of them, immortality USUALLY does shit to you...
-The older one's have odd celtic tastes -throws up-
-CURFEW! aka the sun.

Pros of being a werewolf:

*We may not age like vampires, but that is the beauty of being a werewolf. We get to be stronger than vampires, faster than vampires, and still have the short life span of a human, so that we appreciate all of it! I mean, come on, who wants to live forever? I mean seriously. Too much hassel. Imagine having to keep your photo from being taken for your entire immortal life, just to make sure that someone that you know doesnt stuble across your photo from over a century earlier, and you still look as smooth skinned as ever! Dont know about you, but that's too much work for me.

*We are never alone. We always have our wolf with us, communicating with us. We have a closer bond with our inner wolf than anything else.

*When a werewolf finds their mate, it is the most romantic thing ever. When a wolf finds their mate, they become completely devoted to one another. You will not find another pair more devoted to the other than wolves...Unless it's another wolf and their mate. Which is why you only have one. You can not experience devotion that deep for more than one person. They are very romantic...And should one of the pair die, then it becomes a type of Romeo and Juliet senerio. The one left alive is usually so grief stricken that they either kill themselves, or wither away until they are pretty much nothing more than a shadow of their former self.

There are many more pros, but I figure that I should give someone else a chance to mention them.

Cons:

*Pretty much the only thing that I can think of that would be a con to being a werewolf would be the full moons. During those nights, the wolf has complete control, and the human mind goes into dormant for that night...the wolf will kill anyone and anything that gets in its way, especially a human. A werewolf would kill their best friend on those days.

This is tough, because I've played out the lives of both.

Honestly, (and this will sound dorky) you won't know the struggles of a vampire or wolf until you make one and experiment with them. You won't know what you like and who's better until you've really gotten into playing the character. Once you get into it, the vamp/wolf struggles just hit you the more you write about/develop them. They are both really complicated (i.e. Anne Rice books, Twilight books, etc. etc.). You don't appreciate wolves until you have the full experience of playing one, and the same goes for vampires. Both my main character's lives (vamp- Giselle, wolf - James) are extremely complicated.

That's just a serious note.

I used to be a hard core vamp fan, but I appreciate wolves more now.

I'll start with the cons of immortality:
You sire your human lover, marry them, then the power of immortality goes to their head and they think they can get away with jacking your cash, going to Vegas, gambling it all away, then coming back seven years later to kill you because they are in a HUGE debt and need more money.

And that never ends well. In that case, the jerkoff suffered a very bright, sunny death.

Giselle is difficult to RP with sometimes, because immortals never know what they want and get all bipolar. What's the fun of living forever if you can't enjoy it?

Now, werewolves are great! Their personalities are always different, as opposed to vampires who all get crazy later on.

Pros:
-Wolves are cute... when they want to be of course.
-Shape shifting when you want is pretty cool.
-They blend better with humans
-They get to experience tummy rubs
-They aren't dead
-They are warm, not cold
-They don't incinerate in the sun
-They like blood, too
-They're a mix of vamp and human
-They get to age with their human lovers
-Pack families are tight, vampires are lonely. Covens are petty, and you eventually get sick of being with the same people for forever.
-They may not have the ability to resist themselves from attacking loved ones during full moons, but they can find means of making sure they aren't around humans when that happens. For some wolves, full moons are no biggie
-Yes, they are bipolar as well with the wolf mind, BUT many of them don't have the split personality problem

Cons:
-Wet dog smell

Wolf pros:

Can get a tan without burning up
Can light a cigar without fear
Needn't change your sleeping habits
Meat is good

Cons:
The only con is that they can't heal like vamps and that SUCKS ASS. I don't care how ya spin it, it does and no one can tell me otherwise. It's the only thing I HATE about this site. Why the HELL can't wolves heal as good as vamps?

Okay. It should be pretty obvious what MY view is going to be. Come on....Who wants to be a filthy bloodsucker? Sevanni doesnt count. I say wolves are better. Totally one hundred percent better.

Pro's-

-Very deep sense of family. You wont find a stronger bond then that of a pack. They dont have to be blood related, but they will stick up for each other and morn each other all the same. They are very close knit and there is nothing better. Nothing more comforting then knowing that what ever you go through there is your family there to support you. To love you. Its what a pack is for. If you dont believe me...read a pack werewolfs threads. You will find more then likely at least one mention of another pack sister or brother or the pack in general.

-Loyalty to each other. Which ties back to the pack. I dont see no blood sucker covens sticking up for each other like a pack does. If a vampire wants something, they wont be afraid to fool and cheat to get it. But a werewolf is LOYAL.

-Respect. Have you ever seen a werewolf pack with their leaders? Psh...Everyone respects each other even if they dont get along.

-You also have someone there with you 24/7. That wolf within you is like your constant companion. Ten times better then a conscious. It can soothe you and comfort you. Not to mention save your blasted life. A wolfs sense are FAR better then a vamps. Reason why? Wolf. Even human...we kick vamp ass. Ever watched a vamp bar blow up? -smiles- I have. And it was magical!

-The runs. The sense of freedom. We can run and just be FREE. We have that wild animal sense that just longs to run. To be free. And when you actually do get up and run...Its glorious. Absolutely glorious. No better feeling.

-The sunlight. Does a vamp know what it feels like to actually have the sun wash over your face? No. Because they would be dead. I WISH they were that stupid. Would make MY life easier.

-Warm skinned. A vampire has chilled to the boned skin. Come on...Who wants to snuggle up to a corpse? Wait...do I hear silence? Thats right...No one. Unless of course your James. Im warning you boy! -smiles-

-What Nix said about the mates. It IS romantic. You know right from a fleeting glance they are the one you are meant to be with. Its like a jolt of electricity in your body. Do vamps or humans get this? Nope. And so for all they know...they could have had a one night stand or dumped their one true love. That would suck ass would it not?

-Not to mention...We are sexy as hell. Vamps may be beautiful as well. But come on. Most werewolves are tall..beautiful or handsome with tanned skin. And we actually SHOW our muscle. Whats not sexier then that? Not to mention a deadly swagger thats in every wolfs gate. Like we own the place. Thats because...Thats right. We do! Vamps get lost!

Cons-

I can only really think of two.
The first is the full moon. Yeah we loose control of the human side. But I havent killed a single human on a full moon. There are ways to prevent it from happening!

And of course...We dont heal as fast....Damn..oh well....I barbecue them to fast for them to seriously injure me anyway.
