Patrick slipped silently through the darkness, his senses alert. The night was still, even here in the darkest of the alleys of Old Paris. He wasn't hunting in particular; more like restless wandering. Something was stirring and, even if he couldn't quite catch the full sense of it yet, it made him uneasy and restless. So to relieve himself of these odd jitters, he'd chosen to wander the very edges of his packs usual territory.
He slipped between two buildings, ignoring the snoring form of a drunken bum huddled against a wall. No threat; the man was unconscious, deep in alcohol-fueled dreams. Skirting him carefully, he came to an intersection and paused, indecisive. He was getting tired, but he didn't want to return to his home just yet.
He sniffed the air cautiously, then sighed. He wanted to do something, but he wasn't sure what it was. Too bad I can't just stumble across a vampire; a good beating would make me feel better. Never a vampire around when you want one, though. Only when you don't...
He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, leaning on the cool brick wall of the building behind him. He should go home; he should be sleeping. Too bad he was too wired up to rest.

Landon was pissed, typically he was doing work at this hour, but his elderly neighbor asked for him to drive into the city and get a bag of milk for her. Since she typically made sure his bills and papers didn't get rained on he did favors like this when he was home. Besides he loved driving. His car a old black impala, it had served him well, though it had also left him stranded quite a bit lately. Like now.
Walking with a paper bag with the four litres of milk in his arm, and his car keys with the tow-truck driver. It made him nervous, the car was something he actually kept from his teen years., he didn't want to see it get any more beat up than it was.
A scent caught in his nose, and it took a few moments before he recognized it as a another werewolf. He didn't change his course, he continued on his way home, not far from his house against the brick was the werewolf, Landon nodded to him. He typically didn't approach other werewolves. Some were territorial and Landon wasn't much of a fighter. He could fight, just didn't really like to. He usually waited till the other wolf said something first.

Patrick's eyes snapped open when he caught the scent; another male. Not an alpha; he glanced around and stilled when he caught sight of the other werewolf. But he forced himself to relax; this was no lone alpha, and there was no challenge. Been running too much lately; starting to think too much like a wolf. Need to spend more time with humans and make sure I don't get too damn feral... He sighed to himself. It was hard to balance it, sometimes.
He caught the other's nod and returned it, smiling a little. He had no issues with the other man, and he wasn't the kind of person to start fights for no reason. When the other had gotten close enough, Patrick cleared his throat. "Hello." he greeted him, keeping his body loose and non-threatening, but his chin down-again, his 'wolf' instincts kicking in. Strong but not challenging. "Nice night for a stroll." His voice was soft and amused; he could sense an aura around the other man that spoke of him being less than pleased.

"It would be a nicer night with a car, I won't lie," Landon said now rather bemused with his situation, he wasn't far from home. Perhaps from here it wouldn't be so bad of a stroll. He'd been walking for a half hour in the cool air, had to fork over two hundred and fifty for a tow and opted to walk home to cool down. The hair prickled at the back of Landon's neck, it didn't do it often, typically when his senses told him the other guy could take him in a fair fight. He wasn't too worried though, the man seemed relaxed. Landon thought kept his chin up, a sign of confidence and pride. He really didn't have too much of either, but it was good for show.
"What brings you out here, mostly residential area, you new here?" Landon asked, he knew mostly everyone he lived around. Not their names, but their faces, their scents. He always took notice of someone who wasn't from the neighbor hood.

"Hmm." Patrick said, smiling a little. He himself had never owned a car; he didn't often wander too far from his pack's central area. What he wanted, he usually sent others out to fetch if it was too far a-feild. Still, he'd often considered it...
He tipped his head to the side a bit, studying the other man. He briefly considered lying, but what was the point? Quirking his eyebrows expressively, he shrugged, his smile turning a bit wry. "New to this area, but not to town." He said quietly. "I don't get out much...I usually run closer to home." He left out the rest-no need to spill all his secrets, really.
"You need a hand?" He asked. He was bored, tired and restless, and he could use some conversation with someone he didn't have to feel responsible for. It was hard sometimes, but he'd been in his position for so long he'd ceased to really feel the burden anymore. It was just part of who he was.

Landon nodded understanding, "not a big traveller then?" Landon couldn't imagine staying close to one location, just wasn't in his cards. He was a wanderer, a traveller, he enjoyed sightseeing. He had every desire to see the entire world.
"No thanks, just some milk, not heavy" he responded casually his annoyance was mostly left with the tow-truck driver. He didn't mind the walk, the air was nice not stuffy or humid like he expected it to be, the moon was out the stars twinkling in the early night sky. Landon knew he wasn't too far from home a few more blocks, he ajusted the bag so it sat nicer, the bags of milk were awkward, not uncomfortable to carry, "I'm Landon Cross by the way," he said introducing himself, "who might you be?"
