To the world at large this building is the headquarters of the corporate security firm Blackwell Industries, best known for their 'Invincible' line of civilian armored cars and for accepting customers by appointment only. However this is just a front, the building is really a wolf pack house. It contains multiple rooms for members to stay in, an armory, garage, and everything else a legitimate business needs to function. The entire top floor is called 'the Rookery' and is reserved for the pack leader who, of course, is also the Chairman and CEO of Blackwell. The Rookery features a bedroom, living room, kitchen, full bathroom, study, indoor swimming pool and hot tube, and a private elevator connected to every floor. On level B3 is the armory and garage.

Adam Vagus sat in his main office in the east corner of the fourth floor going over the latest reports on the new Invincible II line. As the successor to their flagship line Adam personally oversaw all aspects of it to insure it was up to such standards. "So far so good," Adam said to himself. "Looks like we have a winner." He smiled, going from a deadbeat private dick to the head of not only a wolf pack but a Fortune 500 company had been easier than he thought. In fact it seemed so easy that he was afraid something was wrong, at least at first. Now though he was so at ease with it that it seemed like he was born to this position. "Of course I was. I am Adam Vagus after all," he smirked. "A man of destiny." Suddenly his secretary buzzed in on his desk phone. "Mr. Vagus, a Ms Amarent Blades is here to see you," she said. "Send her in Miss Moneypenny," he said closing the manila folder and laying it on his desk. I wonder what she wants? he thought.

Amarant walked into the pack house, looking around as she did. She was part of this pack, though she had been in London for quite sometime, visiting the house where she'd grown up... She'd had a hard time with that, dealing with all the memories...And putting away everything of Rafael's...He'd left the small mansion to her, but she wasn't sure if she could stay there without it being too painful. She decided that she needed to go see the pack alpha, Vagus. She hadn't really spoken to him much, and since she'd joined the pack, she hadn't been able to meet hardly any of the members, because she'd been going away to London.
Saphire, the little white wolf that was usually with Amarant, had been left at her apartment that she had here in Hollywood. She had houses set up all over the country, becasue she liked to travel, her job actually called for it. Amarnat was a singer, mostly sticking to the smaller, more intimate clubs, rather than allowing herself to go out into a stadium. She perfered the closeness to her fans, who came from all over to come watch her sing.
She walked into Adam Vagus' office and smiled at him, her black hair framing her pale, slender face, her ice blue eyes flashing slightly. "Hello Vagus. It's been awhile since I've been back here. I just thought that I would come see what else was new with the pack...And if you could make it easier for me to meet the other members." Her voice was soft and musical, just like when she sang for her fans.

Adam smiled as Amarant walked in. She wasn't bad looking, however he had enough girlfriends for now so the smile was a friendly one. "So ya want ta know what's going on," Adam began. "Well I'm sure ya heard the rumors. Most of them are true, a wolf in one of the other packs fell in love with a vampire. Normally this would be no big deal, however this pack hates corpses with a passion. So, they fanned this thing all out of proportion." He sighed, "Now there's a war looming on the horizon and we have to get involved. I hope you're ready for this because this thing will consume us all in one way or another." Adam got up and started pacing back and forth behind his desk. "As for meeting the rest of the pack. I'll have the vice president Landon Cross show you around." He continued pacing, waiting to see if she had anything else to say before dismissing her. He hoped he didn't look like he was too busy to talk to her. The pacing thing was just a habit of his.

Oh no... Amarant knew what other pack Vagus was talking about...It was a pack led by a wolf named Patrick. She'd run into a few of them a couple of times in her travels. They weren't that bad of a group, other than Amarant thought they were a little harsh on the entire vampire race. Sure, some were inherently bad, but...Not all of them. She was raised by a vampire, had become friends with a lot of them, and she didn't want to have to fight them. She didn't know if she could do it if she was put up against one of her friends...Hell, half the time she got along better with vampires than with her own race.
She noticed his pacing and smiled warily, taking a step back towards the door. "I was just wanting to get an idea about what was going on since I left for London... And I don't know what I'm going to do about this war... I have many vampire friends... I'll have to get my head around it before I can even think about attacking a vampire...I'll be fine so long as I am not thrown against someone I know and have begun to love... Anyway, I'll leave, and find Landon." She said, turning around and walking towards the door.

"I have vamp loved ones too but the pack comes first," Adam replied. "Remember that." He watched her go and sat back down. Buzzing his secretary he told her to direct Amarant to Landon then hung up. Picking up the folder he went back to work. Despite all that was going he still had a company to run. He just hoped that it would last.

Landon's cell rang; he looked at the caller ID and shut his laptop, he knew it was unlikely that he was going to get anymore work done. He was in the pack house doing an article on a five star resteraunt, though he had different thoughts; the food really wasn't that great.
He opened the cell and listened to the sharp voice of Vagus's secretary, a new member. "This could be interesting," he muttered outloud, "I'll be right up." He secured his laptop in a brief case and headed to the stairwell he took the steps two at a time and opened the door on the same floor as Vagus's office. He walked down mixing into a few other suits who nodded to him though he could tell they were mildly suspicious of him.
He leaned against the wall outside of Vagus's office, he could tell by the sounds that the new member was still inside. He checked his watch and waited.
