SHE'S A DWELLING PLACE FOR DEMONS, she's a cage for every unclean spirit, every filthy bird.
Another growl, another snarl, as her mind fathomed Kai's words. The story was touching, but at that moment, she could not have cared less. Her anger permeated the air, had she been a dog her hackles would have been well and truly raised. She needed to get back in the building, alert the muscles, and find Mordekai. Then she would be safe. With Kai's attention now fixed for the most part on Jay, she took her chance.
"I hate to break up the family reunion, but I'm out of here.."
The best route would have been back out the alley and into the front door, but that would involve walking past Kai, and it was not something Elio wanted to chance. She turned, her heels clicking as she took up a hurried walk towards the fire escape where she had been smoking earlier. She knew Kai was fast, faster than she was, but he had a shocked Jay to contend with as well, and this was the best, though cruellest way of escaping. Her heart ached for Jay; what a shock.. especially to have Kai as a brother. The only fate she could imagine worse than that was her own; being his daughter, his punchbag and his little fucktoy. Her breathing was heavy, and she felt concious of her attire infront of Kai, knew her butt cheeks were visible, either side of the thin pink strip of material of her thongs.
She was nearly there, convinced she would make it to the fire escape. All that would be left would be to climb the stairs and she would be safe inside the speakeasy. Elefang had promised her protection; a welcome offer: she had known she would need it. What did Kai want her for anyway? To take her back to London? Of that she was almost certain. The best policy would have been to keep her mouth shut as she escaped, but it was too much to resist. The words left her lips, against her better judgement, a smirk creeping over her face.
"Lukas is waiting for me.."

Jaysin The boy was rendered speechless. He didn’t know what to say or what to do. There was no denying that Kai was in fact his twin brother. They looked exactly alike. It amazed him that he had gone twenty six years of his life without knowing anything about his twin. And yet, his brother seemed to know everything about him. To him it wasn’t fair. How could his family or his cousin even betray him that way. ”I don’t… I don’t understand why no one told me…” He let his gaze drop to the floor as he let out a soft sigh, trying his best to calm himself. He was hurt, angry, yet at the same time happy. All of the emotions running through him now was a bit too much. Bringing his hands up to his face, he closed his eyes shutting everything around him out. He needed time to think but now was not the time. He was caught in the middle of something big. That’s how it looked to him anyways. He kept his back turned to Elio as she spoke then a familiar name left her lips. Lukas. How the hell does she know him? Or is it even the same person… The last time he had seen Lukas was with his ex Sonia. She had chosen Lukas over him and left him behind after he had attempted to apologize for everything. Then simply out of nowhere both the girl and her new ‘lover’ disappeared. Til now. Jay moved his hands away from his face and watched as his brother went after Elio. ”Oh great…” ----------------------------------------------------------------
Kai
The vampire rolled his shoulders in a shrug. Just like Jay, he wondered why he had been kept a secret. He promised himself that he would find out the next time he spoke to his parents. The last time he had attempted to call them, they had ignored him. Next time he would make sure that his voice would be heard and his questions would be left answered. Even if it took hurting his own family, he would do it to get what he wanted. ”Ask them that yourself, brother. I’ve attempted to ask Ma and Pa about everything that had happened and they do nothing but give me the cold shoulder, but enough about that.” He turned his attention back to Elio who continued to snarl at him. Folding his arms over his chest he simply shot her a toothy grin, exposing his own fangs. ”I hate to break up the family reunion, but I’m out of here. Lukas is waiting for me.” Out of sheer frustration, Kai let out a loud growl as Elio began to walk away. There was no way in hell he was going to let her get away with just leaving London without his permission and there was no way that he would let her go back to Lukas. ”You’re not going anywhere…” As always, it had only taken him a mere second to appear before the girl. Normally he would have had his fingers clasped around her throat but instead, he wrapped his arms tightly around her, pressing her arms against her sides. Locking his eyes with hers, he searched them for answers. As angry as he was, he couldn’t help but to let the pain she had caused him by leaving show in his eyes. ”Why did you leave me Elio? I thought you loved me…” Though there was a hint of sarcasm in his voice, Kai was being serious. He had been the type that had a hard time expressing his true feelings to anyone.

STONES TO THROW AT MY CREATOR, the masochist to which i cater.
She had expected it. His hands had her arms pinned to her side, his own arms wrapped tightly around her in almost passionate embrace. It should have felt delicious, having him holding her instead of attacking her, even after one of her trademarks snide comments, but it wasn't. His arms were a prison, and she was his hostage. His honey-colored eyes showed a pain she had not thought him possible of feeling, and for a moment she longed to cup his face, crush her lips against his, take away the pain.. And then it dissolved as the memories of the pain he had caused her returned. He had never tried to take her pain away, why should she try to comfort him when he had been the sole reason for every injury and scar, both mental and physical.
"Why did you leave me Elio? I thought you loved me…
" She couldn't help but scoff. Did he really need to ask why she had ran from him? Even her running into the arms of another had evidentally not shown him the extent of the damage he had caused since he had all but killed her, standing over her lifeless body as it lay naked on his desk, mauled and abused. She knew he was intelligent, but he seemed dumb when it came to working out why she had fled from him in the night, leaving naught but a scribbled letter under his office door. Her eyes, grey as the ocean on a cloudy day, found his, and she fixed him with a stare that promised an explanation, thought it was doubtful it was one he would relish hearing. Her lips formed the words, sending them out to reach his waiting ears. " You have no right to ask me anything. You've not answers enough for the questions you have raised within my mind," she paused to take a breath, letting her venemous lyrics sink in. " I did love you, Kai, but you drove me to distraction. Of course I would run. I've never known a tender touch from you without a bruise, cut, broken bone or bite preceeding it. You said you loved me, but it was a lie." Another pause, again for the same reason. Her tone became gentle, not disimilar to how a teacher would speak when educating a pupil. " You've never felt love for me, just a possesive pang for something you believe to be yours because you made me what I am. Your one 'good turn' does not mean I deserve to die inside a little bit more everytime you raise your hand to me. I a not a belonging. I'm a woman, with my own mind and thoughts and feelings." In her head, the scene from the day he had turned her replayed over and over. It had ever since it had happened, and she had searched for some clue as to why he had done it, why he had flipped so and taken the life she knew from her, and thrown her into a half life that was neither gift nor curse, but both. A gift because she had been granted immortality, eternal beauty, where disease nor death could ever touch her. A curse because she had been snatched so cruelly from everything she knew to become a cold blooded killer, a slave to an instinct that she neither hated nor loved, but was learning to live with. A lust for blood she had never asked for. " I didn't need to bleed that day. I wish I'd died instead of lived!" Her last words were spat with a venom that even she did not know she possessed, her tone changing completely to one of anger and hatred and hurt and a hundred-thousand other emotions. Her lips were pulled back over her teeth, pressing against her gums, again exposing her teeth, the same way a dog or wolf would. Her bared her fangs to him, a threat, a warning and above all a challenge. A challenge for what? She did not know, but it was a challenge nontheless. She struggled against him, but within a matter of seconds, her lips had closed once more, and her head hung down, turned away so that her chin rested on her shoulder. Her angry, hurried breathing slowed and settled into it's normal rhythm. How could she fight him? His strength was unparralelled compared to hers; he had made sure of that when he made her. She had been sucked into death, and dragged back out again, to become a weakened version of Kai that he could toy with for eternity. She accepted it then in that moment, that no matter how far or fast she ran, he would be there, less than a step behind, ready to steal her back to London where he could abuse her and watch her until the end of time. Suddenly forever seemed so much longer than it ever had. Eternity with a monster; a nightmare beyond any child's bad dream. " Take me home.." Her voice was low, a soft whisper. She meant London. It was obvious then, that all of her fight had been sucked out of her. It was as if the pent up rage had helped her cling into the last bit of strength she had, and now she released it to his waiting ears, it had gone, and left a shell of her former self. She noticeably slumped in his grip, as she let her eyelids slip closed, letting her fate sink in. All thoughts of Lukas left her head, not by choice, but because it was clear now that, no matter how much she loved him, she would never be with him as long as Kai was around. She would not, could not kill him, and she would not permit Lukas to do so either. Her path was sealed; Kai's little fucktoy and plaything forever. Her heart physically ached at the thought of leaving Lukas, but she had come to see it was the best thing to do, if not the easiest. Infact, it was the hardest thing. She knew for as long as Kai permitted her to live, she would crave his tender touch, his kiss, his soft loving words - all things she doubted she would feel again, not just from him, but anyone except for Kai when he decided he would cradle her in his lap after throwing her around like a ragdoll, or cutting into her core with his harsh words, as he had done so many times before. A lone tear slithered down her cheek, plummeting to the ground as it dripped off the curve of her jawline. x [/blockquote]

Her words hit Kai, hard. He had no idea just how much he had been truly hurting her until now. The reason for her running away now shone clearly to him as she stood before him, explaining it all. Slowly, his guard was being broken down, the pain now making itself known through his expression. The corners of his lips dipped into a frown.
”I… had no idea…” He had become the monster he had always told himself he would never become. Before he was turned, he had morals but after being given the dark gift they all seemed to fly right out the door. Not only had he become a ruthless killer, he turned into a womanizer. He now felt like the scum of the earth.
He indeed loved Elio but was afraid to show it. He feared that the moment he did he would only set himself up to get hurt. Unfortunately, the guard he had put up had only pushed the girl away from him, causing her to hate him. It had done exactly the opposite of what he was intending to do.
”Take me home…”
Swallowing the lump that had gathered in his throat he slowly stepped back, releasing his hold on her. ”I… I can’t.” He turned his head away slightly, letting his eyes move away from hers. Suddenly remembering about Jay, he looked over at him. He still had the confused, childlike expression plastered across his face. This wasn’t the impression he wanted to leave for his brother to see but it couldn’t be helped now.
”You are home Elio…” he finally finished. Kai stepped aside then walked around her, leaving her where she was. He couldn’t take hurting her anymore. If Lukas is the one that made her happy so be it. That was all he truly wanted was for her to be happy and all he had done was the opposite.
Walking past Jay, he hung his head low, letting his gaze fall to the ground. He was disappointed at himself for allowing this part of him to be shone. ”Come Jay, we have a lot of catching up to do…” he managed to say, nearly choking on the words.

His words were slowly absorbed, her mind comprehending them. For a moment she stood, almost in a shock-like state. His words had been the last thing she had expected to hear. She had expected Kai to bundle her back to London post-haste. And yet, his soft foot-falls thudded within her ears. She knew in that moment what she had to do.
"Kai..
Her voice called to him, and she ran to him, standing before him to block his path. Her hands cupped his face tenderly, the way she had wished he would do to her, and she stood on her tiptoes, bringing her lips to crash against his in a kiss that showed no signs of hatred or anger. They had melted away with his words. After a moment, she pulled back, and her eyes locked with his, silently telling him he was forgiven for all the wrongs he had done.
"Don't ever.. Ever be a stranger"
With that, she was gone, out of the alley and back into Elefang, leaving nothing but the lingering softness of her scent.

Darling take me home, To the castle made of skulls and bones. Sing me a song to remind me where I belong: In your arms, My love in cold blood.
