Vesperia lead Bishop to the top-most floor of the old building. Their footsteps echoed through the empty back stairwell, The brick walls were coated with a thin layer of dirt, the steel hand railings long since rusted. It wasn’t much, Vesperia knew, but it was where she called home. Plus, it was all she could really afford, seeing as she had no steady job or source of income. When they finally reached the dark red door on the 13th floor, she took out her keys and unlocked the door, standing aside to let Bishop pass through. After a moment, she closed the door and re-locked it. She stood a moment and gazed around her small 2-bedroom apartment, checking to see if anything was amiss, as was habitual with her. Her gaze quickly swept over the small living area, then black carpet flat from years of people walking over it, the white wallpaper decorated with rose details. She scanned over her desk beside the small television, a vase of fresh white roses sitting next to her computer, a small memorial for her lost love, Rose. She walked into the small kitchen area and pulled a couple water bottles out of the fridge, handing one to Bishop.
“Down the hall at the end is a spare room you can use for the night.... Bathroom is across from it.” She motioned around her humble abode. “I know it isn’t much, but this is my home and I am more than happy to share it for the night.” She smiled at Bishop in a friendly manner, then wondered if she should offer him something to eat. Glancing over to the fridge, she spoke once more. “Um, are you hungry or something?”
She felt a bit unsure of what to do as she was not accustomed to having people around her. She hadn’t been very social after Rose had died almost a year ago. She figured she should move on and make some friends, but found it hard to do.
Unsure of what to do, she simply waited for Bishop to respond.

It might have been a surprise, after all, Reinette had the money to buy anywhere she liked, but the places around here were far more quiet, and no one liked to bother her here. Having said that, the inside of her apartment looked very different from the outside, and no doubt, the inside of a lot of other peoples apartments. She was dressed almost sensibly tonight, her foot wear that of a pair of black high heeled boots, though they were wide enough, whilst still keeping their petite look, they were obviously those of a ladies. Over the top of those knee high boots, she was wearing a pair of skin tight pvc trousers, creased in the corners, and beautiful in their own tailored style. There was a pewter bat belt buckle on the belt that went around her waist, black and almost invisible against the material of the trousers. It was gothic, and almost stereotypical, but on her, it just looked like she was taking the mickey out of the movies.
Above them, she was wearing a very dark purple, steel boned corset, with a sort of spider web pattern lace covering it, the top of it barely covering her cleavage. It showed off her pale chest, which looked white in the dim moonlight, therefore making it hard to decide whether she was undead or not. It gave much space for her black choker, adorned with black jewels that glistened in whatever light was around. It seemed like not enough to keep a girl warm outside at night, but she wasn't any old female. Whether or not she was dressed sensibly temperature wise, she looked beautiful, with her blond hair undone. Usually it was up in a plait, or a ponytail, or a bun, but tonight, she had brushed it and left it down, the entire lot acting like a blanket over her shoulders.
Reinette moved quicker than the human eye could see, quite easily making it up to the 13th floor in no time at all. Producing her keys for the apartment from an unknown pocket, she hesitated putting it into the lock in the door, glancing towards the stairwell which led up to the roof. Putting the keys back into her pocket of her trousers, she went over to the stairwell and went up to the roof, balancing perfectly as she found somewhere to sit, looking over the view.

Bishop followed behind Vesperia into the apartment, kind of reminded him of his Hut back home, just bigger. He shook his hand at Vesperia's offer, he wasnt thirsty and the old reason he was hear cause he wanted to eat. Bishop looked around and smiled, he nodded to himself slightly as he surveyed the apartment. He walked down the hall she had mentioned to his supposed room, he was probably gona use it for a little while, but he'd be gone before dawn. Bishop wasnt the kind of guy that stayed as a guest often, He had been trained to be independent and that he was. Bishop walked back to Vesperia and onto the balcony.
Bishop looked over the rail and down, There were a few tree's he might be able to use as an escape just in case. He looked at the rail and the edge of the balcony, He might be able to slowly drop down to another floor till he got to a low enough height and just let go. Bishop the walked to the side of the balcony and searched for a drain pipe that he could use to shimmy down. No luck though, there was a drain pipe but it didnt look securely fastened and didnt have any space for his fingers to grasp. So he had two possible exits not including the front door which he'd probably end up using in the end. The only reason he was even looking down here was cause of his training, Old habits die hard.
Bishop walked back inside and into the room he was going to use. He looked around it, there was window but it wasnt big enough to fit his body. He called out to Vesperia from his room and said "Hey, you need any work done while im here?" He should of at least made himself useful while he was here and if there wasnt he could probably get into some time for himself and do a little work out with the stuff he had here.
Bishop walked back to Vesperia and smiled, he'd probably find something to do if she didnt. Other then working out, Maybe Bishop would look around and explore the building a little. More of his old habits, It was really funny to him actually.

Vesperia opened a water bottle and took a long sip, thirsty after the night’s events. As Bishop surveyed the apartment, she walked over to the window that faced out onto the street and gazed out over the large expanse of lights and buildings. She thought to herself how nice it would be to see this view from he roof. Normally, she would simply walk up and out into the cool night air and lay out, watching the stars, but tonight was different. Tonight she had a…guest? She figured she would refer to him as a guest for now. Vesperia felt odd at the thought of leaving him in her apartment, yet she could feel the pull of the night sky beckoning her outside. “Perhaps later.” She whispered aloud, then noticing a police cruiser below in the street, slowly rolling by. She chuckled, wondering if they were the ones looking for Bishop.
She turned at Bishop’s words, shaking her head slightly. Although there were endless chores and repairs to do, it wasn’t in her nature to ask things of others. “No, I do not believe there is. But thank you for the offer.” She smiled kindly at him, sincerely grateful for the offer. Once more she peered out of the window, looking up at the moon. It was full tonight, casting a dull light upon the city, her city, her home. She loved it here in Paris, even if she was not native to this land. There never seemed to be a dull moment.
Noting that the clock on the wall above her stove said it was after two in the morning, she figured she should be getting some sleep. She looked back at Bishop. “I um… I am going to head off to bed… Help yourself to the fridge and such. .” She really had no idea what to say as she was not accustomed to having people in her home. She hesitated for a moment. “I shall se you in the morning then…

She closed her eyes for a little while as the chilling breeze blew over the rooftop, making the surface of her mildly warm skin even colder. When the cold ceased to hurt you, or stiffen your joints, it was quite a lovely sensation, something to make her feel alive and vulnerable, something that was so hard to acomplish as a member of the undead community. After a few moments longer, trying to enjoy and stretch the moment a bit more, she opened her eyes again, glancing boredly at the horizon. When you had lived for a couple of hundred years, which wasn’t actually that long for a vampire, considering that you all lived forever, eternally animate, you sometimes began to become bored of things.
Though she had travelled virtually the entire world, of course only at night, her love of Paris was always paramount, no matter where she went, she always yearned to be here. It was an odd and ancient desire, for her to have a love of a place, a country, and not a person. That wasn’t to say that she didn’t find a mortal whom she loved every so often, it did happen, even to a vampire like her, who killed people to survive. To think, if she had stayed a mortal woman of those old times, she might have died for any reason, though most likely, she would have been attacked, considering all the dangerous places she had gone to on her own. And all the things since that night, she would have never experienced them, had that man not found and taken a shine to her.
Referring to him as a man though would have hardly been correct, he had been a vampire just as she was, and though she had loved him for a long time after that night, her…attraction wore down sometimes. But then it would take her a period of a few years, and then she would be absolutely in adoration of him again, but she wasn’t like that right now. Right at this moment, she was at the point where she almost hated him, though she could tolerate his presence for a little while, and she wanted more, something else entirely.

Bishop nodded as Vesperia headed off to bed. He didnt feel like going to bed, no Bishop felt like doing something kick ass, exciting and exilerating. Bishop looked out at the balcony a wide toothy cracked into his face. He snickered a little as an extremly stupid but X-TREME! idea kind of surfaced in his mind. Bishop would probably hurt himself but he didnt care, the adrenalin was already pumping and would soon surge through him.
Bishop ran for the balcony, as he reached it he jumped onto the rail, pushed of it and launched himself at a drain pipe. As he reached it he wrapped his fingers around the back and firmly placed his feet on the wall. This was the trippy and amazing part of all it, Bishop climbed up the pipe like he was some sort of monkey. He climbed up to the top, to the roof and made it their really quickly.
When Bishop made it to the roof he climbed up half way before noticing that there was someone already up here. Well he wasnt the only one so bored they decided to explore a little. Before he got up onto the roof he called out to the stranger, he didnt want to intrude on what might of been a private moment. "HEY! Mind some company?" You know, some people these days are... well insane... or lonely... or both, anyways. Who knew what people did in their on private time, which raised the question, just what does Vesperia do in her private time. Bishop started getting some paranoid ideas, about conspiracies and murders...

Vesperia headed to her room, exchanging her skirt and blouse for a vintage black satin nightdress with lace detail that came down to her knees. She dimmed the lights in her room an slowly walked over to her bed. Sitting down, she thought of the night's events and chuckled softly. Who would have ever thought something like this coud happen to someone like her. Laying back against her pillows, she willed herself to sleep, but found it impossible. She was wide awake. Thinking back to the roof, she stood and sought her plush black robe. Finding it in her closet, she wrapped herself in it and walked to her bedroom door, listening for Bishop. Hearing nothing, she figured he had gone to bed and slowly opened her door and silently walked to the door and out into the hall.
She made her way down the hall and up the stairs to the roof quickly, her bare feet padding silently across the floor. She finally came out onto the roof, clutching her robe to her as she easily balanced and took a few steps forward. She gazed up at the starry sky for a moment, then realized she was not alone. Looking ahead, she noticed a woman seated not far from here she stood, and Bishop standing nearby as well. She held her robe tighter around her body as she quietly spoke.
"Bishop? Um, how did you get up here? I hadn't heard you open the door....And why are you up here?" She was not used to seeing other people up here, especially at night. She then turned to the young woman. "Hello... Didn't you just move in next door?

Reinette looked overly slowly with an ever so slightly bored expression, making it look like she had heard him coming, which she had, even the rats and mice had heard him coming, but that was besides the point. Leaning backwards a little, supporting her tiny amount of weight with her hands on the flat surface of the roof, she looked over his appearance, a minas cure smile coming to her lips. “Of course not.” Not that I would have much choice anyway, other than to kill him. Despite the not so civilized thoughts going through her mind, she didn’t actually intend on harming him at all, unless he became a threat, which she doubted he would, most sensed her strong willed energy a mile off and backed away.
She had her legs straight out in front of her, one ankle crossed over the other, and from viewing her, she appeared to look quite comfortable, which she was. It was obvious, to her anyway, that the man who had first addressed her was now off daydreaming, how rude. So many mortals of this era daydreamed, even when right in the middle of a conversation, that bugged her no end, though she could refrain from killing people, just. As the footsteps of another caught her attention, she moved her gaze to set eyes on Vesperia, looking over her form curiously, with more curiosity than usual from herself.
Her gaze quickly moved to the man though as this new woman spoke to him and asked him a question; so these two knew each other? Ah…there went her hopes and dreams of having this girl all to herself, had she really just thought that? Reinette waited in silence patiently until Vesperia talked to her personally, then pausing for a brief moment before answering. “How observant of you.” She said softly and almost…sweetly, her sort of bitchy mood having blown over to something much nicer, which was lucky for both of them. "Oh and he got up here by climbing the drain pipe I believe." Reinette hardly bothered to hide the little smile of amusement on her face as she informed the female of how Bishop had got up here. She did have awfully wonderful hearing when she wanted.

Vesperia looked curiously at Bishop at the young woman spoke, wondering if he really had climbed up the rusty old drain pipe. She gazed back at the woman, her gaze lingering longer than she had intended. She found herself marveling at how the moonlight illuminated the Blondie hair that framed her face and shoulders. She purposely diverted her gaze from the women, looking out over the city. She wasn't sure why, but she found herself looking back at her. Trying to make it seem as if she weren't staring, she spoke to her in a quiet tone. "Well, welcome to the building." She took a few steps towards her, standing but an arm's reach away. "I am Vesperia." She extended her hand in greeting, having no problem smiling brightly. She had a feeling the grin upon her face was a bit more than just friendly. To Vesperia, this was rather strange. She hadn't been attracted to anyone since...since a few years ago. "Perhaps this is just what I need, a nice, attractive, se-" She cut herself off in mid thought, shaking her head. What was she thinking? Despite the cool air, her cheeks heated slightly, a bit embarrassed by her thoughts.
Still smiling, she began to idly toy with her hair, twirling it around her fingers. She ran her other hand over the back of her neck, slipping her fingers down to a small onyx pendant that hung around her neck. In doing this, she had released her grip on her robe, letting it open slightly at the neck, revealing a bit of the black lace trim of her nightdress. At the moment all she could think was: "Who is this woman and why can't I wipe this stupid smile off of my face?" which was quite ridiculous, right?

For a moment of two, she wondered whether Vesperia didn’t actually believe her, though she wouldn’t have cared much. Noticing that the human was keeping her gaze longer than would be regular for a completely innocent encoutner to another, she smiled slightly, tilting her head curiously and waiting for a reply. Nodding her head downwards once at the welcome that Vesperia gave, she replied. “Jeanne Antionette Poisson, but you can call me Reinette.” She purposely tried to make her name sound twice as complicated as it already was, often doing that to foreigners, who didn’t understand the first words at all. It gave her much amusement, despite being quite pointless most of the time.
She took a firm hold of Vesperia’s hand and shook it, all her movements elegant and smooth as she relaxed, letting her hand relax back into her lap. Reinette laughed quietly and innocently as she saw the other woman start to blush a little bit, not being that surprised somehow. What did start to surprise her a little though, was the turn that her thoughts had taken. Humans were food, usually, killing them was almost the only way to survive as a vampire, but this one was different. Though Bishop didn’t interest her as much as the female, she had no intentions of killing him, she didn’t want to frighten off Vesperia anyway.
Feeling that sitting on the ground was almost a weak position, she wasn’t tired anyway, she stood up in front of Vesperia, not hiding the fact that she had subtly just looked over her appearance. Her skin was just a shade too pale to be healthy for a human, but in the darkness, it looked like the light was just playing a trick on her skin, lulling most into a false sense of security. Reinette’s hair immediately balanced perfectly, some thick curled bits showing over the front of her shoulders, the rest of it gorgeously cascading down her back, reaching to the point just above her hips. Crossing her arms in front of her chest gently, she glanced over to Bishop curiously, wondering relation these two were to each other.

Vesperia tilted her head to the side, repeating Reinette’s full name perfectly. “You have a lovely name, Reinette.” As they shook hands, Vesperia found herself all to aware of the feel of Reinette’s hand in hers. Taking her hand back, she placed it against her cheek as Reinette laughed softly, a bit more embarrassed by her behavior in front of her. Normally, Vesperia never thought much about the others who lived in the building, not paying them any mind, but with Reinette, she couldn’t help but be hyperaware of the way she laughed, or of her elegant movements as she stood. Normally, the subtle once over she had gotten from Reinette made her cheeks pinken even more, but she was much too occupied with her own survey of her. Her long hair seemed to shimmer in the moonlight, almost mesmerizing her. She shook her head slightly, telling herself she was being quite inappropriate. This was, after all, their first meeting.
Noticing her glance towards Bishop, she did the same, wondering why he had been so quiet this whole time. She wondered if he had zoned out as he seemed to do occasionally. “Bishop?” She looked back at Reinette, unconsciously dropping her gaze to the woman’s chest. Realizing what she was doing, she cleared her throat and promptly brought her gaze up, feeling rather ridiculous. She sincerely hoped she hadn’t offended the woman. “Heh, Bishop here is a new acquaintance of mine. It seems I am meeting all sorts of interesting people today…” She chuckled softly, once more twirling her hair around her fingers, trying to keep herself from staring openly at Reinette.

She smiled politely at Vesperia, looking as if she were pleased for some reason, though only she might know why. “Thank you.” She said softly, pulling her hand away from their shake as the female mortal did, moving it to cross both of hers in front of her chest, watching her curiously. Reinette felt the mild desire to laugh again at the cute but intriguing behavior that Vesperia was showing towards her, though she felt just an interested, if not more so.
As one would expect, it was odd to Reinette to be this interested in a mortal, but not for food, she had no intentions of trying to kill this woman, perhaps companionship of a mortal would be nice for awhile. Glancing over to Bishop briefly, she quickly looked back to Vesperia with a deep curiosity, having noticed that she had dropped her gaze, though only for a moment, as Reinette had her own gaze on a part of Vesperia’s anatomy that she probably shouldn’t be paying attention to. Her neck.
Forcing herself to look away, she looked down at the ground, keeping her eyes closed for a moment to regain control of her own will, not an easy task when you were a vampire, accompanied by two people who would usually mean food. Though when she looked up again, her gaze still on the woman, she had stopped herself from thinking about biting her, a thought which in itself, was actually quite hilarious.

Vesperia brought her hand up to the side of her neck, an almost unconscious movement. As Reinette dropped her gaze, she continued to hold her hand to her neck, wondering just what was going through Reinette's mind. Vesperia looked off to the side for a moment, wondering why she was having this sudden attraction to this woman she had just met. This was not usually how she acted. Vesperia was used to thinking ahead and carefully planning things out, not acting on impulses and behaving like an infatuated teenager. She felt a bit foolish, but was determined not to show that to Reinette. She felt the odd urge to impress this woman.
She glanced over to where Bishop stood since he was being so quiet, only to find he was not longer there. She turned her body in the direction she was looking, brushing her hand through her hair. She looked at Reinette, a bit puzzled.
“Did you see where Bishop went?”

Reinette noticed how Vesperia seemed to be musing about something, though what she was musing about, the vampiress couldn’t be too sure. Apparently vampires became obsessed with people, or that was what her maker had said to her, if you didn’t end up killing them. If you did end up killing them, well that was a downer of course, but she, like most vampires, got over people pretty quickly, and went on to something else.
At the sudden noise of Vesperia’s questioning voice, she looked up, a look of puzzlement on her face too, as she tried to work out what she had said. Following the direction of her gaze, towards where Bishop had been standing, she frowned ever so slightly, the slight lines in her face disappearing as she let the expression drop. Having worked out ever so quickly what Vesperia had actually meant, she shrugged lightly with her shoulders, answering her anyway.
“No I didn’t…”
She said softly, thinking that she must be rather attracted to this woman, to have not been paying attention to the rest of the world, and to have not noticed a mere human disappearing off somewhere.

Vesperia looked around for a brief moment, figuring Bishop must have left. He did not seem as if he were going to stay long anyway, despite what she may have hoped. She always wanted to enjoy the company she had as long as possible since it was rare for her to actually have someone to talk to. But Bishop quickly left her thoughts as she returned her attention to her current company, Reinette. This woman was intriguing enough to make Vesperia simply forget what was around her, which contradicted her cautious and alert behavior, despite her seemingly oblivious behavior. She looked up at the moon for a moment and thought of Bishop one last time, silently wishing him luck in his travels, figuring he would need it with the trouble he seemed to get in.
A soft breeze stirred up, brushing her hair back behind her shoulders. The cool air caused Vesperia to clutch her robe against her chest, a chill shivering through her. She never was one for the cold, even on a cool day she would wear a jacket, although the fact that she was out in a thin nightdress and a robe did not help much. She blamed it on her unusually low body temperature, whose cause was unknown. She thought of her warm apartment, then her thoughts turned back to Reinette almost unconsciously. When she spoke, her words came out almost as a whisper. "It is getting a bit too chilly out here for my blood, so I think I will head inside..." Her words gradually softened until she fell silent for a moment. She hesitated slightly before speaking again in the same soft tone. "Um, would you like to join me?"
