Deeply, she inhaled. Beautiful, she thought. She stood at the corner of Rodeo drive, glancing around the new found city. She'd never come to California before. In fact, for the past 12 years, she'd called New York City home. But the city was tiring. She would return in a few days time, when her shipment arrived, but right now this was what she needed.
She repositioned the bag on her shoulder quickly looking for a dim lit motel sign. Quietly laughing at herself, she waited for a car to pass before darting as far from Rodeo drive as possible. She made it a bit outside the city, seeing a hotel in every which way. She settled on one, after a moment's thought, called the Ivory Inn. The middle 'N' on Inn was flickering rapidly -- the lights were in need of a change. She smiled at such simplicity in the huge town.
Quietly, she purchased a room key. "How long?" the uptight desk worker asked. Audri smiled to herself. "I'll pay when I've decided my time is up." Her eyes connected to the inn keeper's, his mouth agape as he let the argument fall. She sauntered off, finding her room and dropping the bag to the floor. Shower...shower...where is it? she asked herself. She pulled open two closet doors before the third was the bathroom. Within five minutes, she had stripped down, showered, and was redressed and ready to go. She turned her back on the full length mirror, the simplicity of a black tank top and dark blue jeans suiting her perfectly well. She tied up her black converse quickly, pursing her lips. She couldn't think of any clubs she had seen earlier in the city. She shrugged her shoulders, bolting from the room and back to the city in under ten minutes time. Someone must know where I can find a decent place to buy a drink, she rambled in her mind. Her flight had tired her, but couldn't just sit in a hotel room, now could she?
She walked the streets well over an hour, asking multiple people, "Where's a decent club?" Each time, she got the same answer: silence. Obviously, Audri thought with a sigh, I'm not in New York anymore.

I'M ADDICTED TO YOUR PUNISHMENT, you're the master and i am craving this disaster.
Less than a week had passed since her 'incident', and Elio had needed to get away from London, hide from those she had once known, atleast for a while, just while she adjusted to her new way of life. Why Hollywood? Why not? It was somewhere she had always wanted to visit, always wanted to see what it was like in the movie-stars paradise. It was like London, she had realised within hours of arriving, only much more glamourous.
Her heels clicked on the sidewalk as she made her way to a club, any club. So she was probably too young to drink legally here, being only nineteen. Wasn't the drinking age in the USA twenty-one? Screw it, she didn't care. It wasn't like she needed to drink. It didn't touch her now anyway. Every human that walked past her was beautiful, the way they looked, the way they smelled, sweet and innocent and oh so naive. She had feasted once since she had been turned back in London, a young man she had picked up in a club. She had gone back to his, and in the heat of passion, had drained him all but the last few drops, leaving nothing but bloodstained sheets as she flitted before the sun had come up. She had felt guilty, but had reasoned with herself that it was dog eat dog, and she was at the top of the food chain now, whether she liked it or not.
Dressed in a - very - short dress, black in color, she looked rather attractive with her porcelain skin, red painted lips, dark, kohl-ringed eyes and her dark brown hair floating about her shoulders. If she happened to catch the interest of a man tonight, then it would be a night he would never forget. She was hungry, but coping. Having never eaten regularly in life, she found that as a vampire, her eating habits were much the same. She was less little and often, more lots and lots very occasionally.
As she admired the humans that walked past, something caught her attention. There was a strange smell, like death, very feint, but it clung to the air. Had she not been a vampire, she would never have noticed, but she knew what it signalled. She was not the only creature of the night in the vicinity. This unnerved her slightly; she had not yet met another vampire, save the one who had turned her, and her experience with him had not been entirely pleasant. Fumbling in her handbag, she bought out a cigarette and a lighter, and sparked up. More and more, she found herself enjoying the nicotine less and less, but it was habit more than anything. She exhaled the smoke, her senses alert, searching for the other vampire, if only to avoid them. She had come here to escape London and anything resembling what she had become, although she had known sooner or later it would catch up with her.

Audri had damn near had enough. It was an impossible chance that no one in this town could tell her where a club, even a bar, was located.
But, quickly it hit her. Such a strong scent; There was another vampire was in the vicinity. This place is huge, did you expect no more vampires? she asked herself, scouring at the obscene thought. She should have known better. This town was larger than New York. If she wasn't alone in New York, she wouldn't be alone in Hollywood.
She closed her eyes, a breeze dragging the scent of the vampire stronger to her senses. She could just pick up a mingled scent of cigarette smoke. She groaned quietly; She detested smoking. Never the people, only the act. The thought finally dawned on her that this vampire could very well be local. Hello city map, she thought with a greedy smile. Finally, she could find a club.
After standing there stupidly for another few seconds, she quickly chased the scent. The closer she got, the more appealing the scent became. It had an eloquent beauty to it; She could only imagine the vampire.
She rounded the corner, her leading scent growing stronger with each foot she ran. She started looking around after a moment. This is the street. She glanced around quicker as she continued running, unable to stop before running headlong into the very vampire she'd been hunting down. And, unable to catch herself, she watched the ground grow closer before she, and possibly the young woman, hit the concrete.
