Stephan was lounging on the balcony of the third story to the Egyptian Scholar’s quarterly ball, he was smothering at the moment though. Why did he support these people all they talked about were dead people… scratch that people who were mummified and dead. He was dead but they didn’t seem to be interested in him. Huffing softly he took a sip of champagne at least the food and drink was good. He slipped finger into his collar and pulled it away letting the humid night air slither down his chest cooling him just a bit. God he wasn’t ever coming back to Egypt if he could help it. Ever time he came he vowed not to but yet here he was again, dying in this heat. He looked back in at the crush of people milling about and sighed what he really need was a meal and there was this delectable little blonde who kept making cow eyes at him. He was completely immune but she need have a pretty little neck and life humming threw her veins so he might just lure her away from her protective momma for a sip or two just enough till he could escape and chow down some where. Honestly though, England in it’s prime hadn’t been this bad at least the world was wet and cool most of the time.. not hot and sticky and non-breathable; he felt he took in a pound of sand with every breath.
He chuckled at himself he was a vampire the living dead he didn’t have to breath didn’t even have to blink or make his heart beat but he did simple because when he was bored it gave him something to do. Sighing again he turned putting his back to the outside world and studying the people once again, he needed something anything to do, some excitement. All these people were old and boring, they acted more dead then he was, he let his fangs glint in the moonlight in amusement though it looked more like a snarl. That was another bad thing he particularly like young female blood and all these people were old and starchy totally bad for his body tone. Yes he watched what he ate, it was simply another way to amuse himself.
Shifting his lean weight again he tossed back the last of his drink and threw the glass out into the night. He really didn’t care where it landed and what havoc it caused, what was life with out havoc anyway? Pushing himself he walked around refusing to go back but refusing to be bored out of his mind like this. He snapped his teeth together listening to the clink, he was a caged tiger and he didn’t like it. Glancing down and then around him he wondered if he could jump then go off and do something wild and anyone would notice? Growling he ran his hand over his face “Bloody Hell” He was anci this was bad before he knew it his suave would be down the drain and he would be snarling. He knew he should have snacked before he left he was daring faint going five days with out a meal. He saw the blonde again and smirking oh she would be delicious.
Stepping into the ballroom he went to work wooing and dazzling the little fawn; her mother was busy and didn’t notice who he wound the little beauty around his fingers drawing her into his spell. Step into my parlor said the spider to the fly. When she was practically beside herself, drooling all over him he took her off into a dark hallway and found an empty room a library from the looks of it. Taking action quickly he sunk his fangs into her and took what he need to still the ants crawling under his skin before pulling away and kissing the bite marks and putting in her mind that he stole a sensual kiss. Turning he ushered her out, following her as she practically skipped out of the room. Shaking his head with a ruthful grin he waited a matter of five minutes before making his entrance and slipping threw the crowds to find a darker corner in inhabit for the remainder of the party. He only came because he was invited and board and he made it known it was for the wine and the entertainment nothing more. With a sigh he resigned himself to a dull heavily perfumed room of old people.

It wasnt only old, crusty people at this party. In fact a striking young lady was there. She was short, only maybe 5'2" in height, with long, dark red brown hair. Her eyes were such a dark brown that they seemed black but it set her facial features off more against her pale skin. She also had a different air about her. Part of it as grace and a gentle nature. You could see the kindness in her eyes and her smile. But at the same time, there was something lethal about her beauty. Something that told the unknowing human eye that she was dangerous. And in fact, she was dangerous. But mostly kind. Thats the way Ali Shadings was.
She was standing by the far wall just watching all the guests with curious eyes. She had no idea why she was here. She normally stayed away from places like this. She didnt like to mingle much. She had her friends back home and she would gladly go out and cause some trouble with them. Trouble was her middle name. But that was back in cities she was familiar with. Such as Paris, London, New York, and even Hollywood. Egypt...was far from home. But something had told her to come this way. Just try it. Maybe she could find out some things. She was a very curious being. She was like a cat, always prowling, but never satisfied.
She smiled slightly over the rim of her glass filled with her drink and watched a young man that had caught her attention. And of course the little blonde that was trying to seek out his eye. She raised a delicate brow slightly and then hid away the smile and glanced someplace else. She didnt want him to suddenly turn and notice her staring at him. But it had only taken her a moment to figure out what he was. Just like her, he was a vampire. She let her eyes wander back over to him though as he took the young blonde away from the group and disappeared for a while. She sighed and then shook her head. She knew what was happening.
A small drop of sweat slid down the nape of her neck and down her bare back. She was wearing a dress for once. She didnt know why. She hated the swishing things with their frilly skirts and fabrics. She wished she could burn it. And she would have fun doing so as well. But the dress itself was gorgeous. It was a deep navy color, with a V drop down neckline, and no back. She even had on blue high heels that would surely kill her if she walked to fast in them. Her hair was also piled on top of her head with curls. She had on her butterfly necklace and that was it. Simple, yet beautiful Ali. But this heat was getting to her. She wiped the sweat away irritated and then figured it might be cooler outside.
When she placed down her glass though on a nearby table she wasnt paying attention to where she was turning, and going. She ended up running into the man she had been staring at before. The other vampire. Her face turned a light shade of pink, and she chuckled nervously. She hoped he was a nice vampire. "Im so sorry. Im so clumsy. I need to watch where I walk." She looked down at the floor and fussed with her dress a bit.

Stephan was lounging on the wall feeling much more satisfied with himself, he’d watched the blonde girl for a while, her name was….. Cleopatra fitting for the party and her parents line of work. They were probably obsessed with the young queen, course there daughter was anything but a queen, she didn’t look or act like one. She flirted to openly and was rather bad at it, but it had suited his purposes to take her up on that slight offer. Right now she was still slightly enthralled and acting a bit drunk which brought a smirk to his lips as he brought yet another cup of wine to his lips. Wine was one of the few things he could hold down, which was good cause he enjoyed it too much to give up. He wanted to make sure the silly twit was doing okay before he relaxed and watched the old folks mill about. No one really approached him or spoke besides a polite word here and there. Even though no one had a clue he was a vampire, the animal senses everyone had, that instinct knew he was danger, he was the predator of their kind. So most avoided him.
He was wearing a dark black suit that was almost dull to the blue black of his hair, it was midnight black Not that charcoal gray or a dull black. But full on night black, then he wore a snowy white shirt beneath it with no tie. He wasn’t stupid enough to wear the chocking thing here in Egypt, his hair was dragged back in what most considered a ponytail theses days, his gray eye sparkled and snapped in the shadowed light, they almost seemed to glow with that unholy light that comes after the adrenaline rush of a feed. He was immaculately dressed, as usual. You never Saw Stephan look anything but good; whether it was worn out jeans and a black t-shirt or a suit and tie he was always divine, one woman called him deliciously dressed once. He prided himself on looking good, as far as he was concerned he’d already taken his fall so he could be as prideful as he wanted.
Stephan took the last sip of his blood red wine and shifted thinking it might be time for fresh air again, the smell of so many bodies pack in to one room like sardines, and all of them old and sweaty and probably fat made him sick. No matter outside was still hot at least the air was fresh and clean. He’d just put his glass on a passing waiter’s tray when he felt a small body bump into his large 6’3 frame. Turning he caught the small woman by the forearms to steady her flashing her a quick smile, hiding the still lengthened fangs from her view. “Excuse me” he muttered taking a minute to breath her in, her scent was odd for a hu… nope vampire. This time his grin shifted allowing fangs to show as she mumbled an apology; he took a minute to study her small for sure he stood at least a foot taller then her, but he had no doubt that small body had the super power that came with the vampire gifts. “What have we here?” he mumbled let his grip on her arm flex for a moment but keeping her there in his grip. “I don’t think there’s any damage done so your fine, dear” he purred letting his gaze give her a once over, going from the to of her adorable curls all the way down to sexy heels, then back up. Definantly liked what he saw, even beneath the layer of Vampire allure she was a knock out in heels and a backless blue dress. It made the red of her hair pop and her eyes look fathomless, like a man could drown if he dared stare to long. “Stephan. Name’s Stephan Aleczandr, you darling?” he asked letting his grip slowly relax then let go of her. his arms coming to rest at his side.

Ali glanced up through her thick lashes to look at the vampire in front of her. Even though she had taken the time to notice him she hadnt actually noticed anything about him. Which was a stupid move on her part. She wasnt normally so careless. She had learned that when with another vampire, you needed to figure out what you were up against if it resulted into a fight. She hoped this one didnt end that way but you never knew. So with that one thought in mind she lifted her gaze from the floor and stared at the man in front of her. She tilted her head only a slight fraction and listened to his words.
“Excuse me” he muttered.
A small smile played on her lips as she noticed that he smiled tightly, to not show his fangs. He hadnt realized she was a vampire yet. But he would soon enough. Then recognition flashed in his gray eyes and his smile shifted. She herself gave him a dazzling smile and chuckled. He seemed friendly, and so maybe she could relax a bit. His grip on her arm wasnt loose, but it wasnt hard either. She barely felt it. She raised an eyebrow though at his next words and then felt his grip loosen a bit more.
“I don’t think there’s any damage done so your fine, dear” he purred.
Ali's small frame shook from her gentle laughter at that. Of course there was no damage. A vampire running into another vampire wouldnt hurt either of them unless they had meant to hurt the other. Which she hadnt. She was just heading for outside. She was even debating if she should just slip away and leave Egypt. There really was no place for her here. But she noticed his gaze trail her body from her curls to the heels and back and another chuckle came. While he took the time to do that she took the time to look over him. He sure was handsome. That was for sure.
He had dark black hair, the lovely kind that could really only be found on vampires, his gray, stormy eyes. And then of course he was tall. She had to look up at him. But she was used to looking up to talk with people. She knew she was short. She had always been short. She was one of the shortest vampires she had ever known. But she brought her thoughts back to the present and then gazed at him again. He had on a dark suit, but it was dull compared to the rest of him, and a white shirt. He really did look good. No doubt he had woman always falling for him. Woman that would do anything for him. Just glance once into his eyes and you were lost.
“Stephan. Name’s Stephan Aleczandr, you darling?”
Ali only smiled at that. Stephan. The name fit him. But her smile shifted into one of mystery. She was a playful person. Almost like a pixie if you were to compare her to something. She could be childish which she enjoyed being, or evil to the core, or playful, but also nice most of the time. She nodded to him and then looked towards the exit. She pushed back a stray curl that had fallen down and then she said to him, "Wouldnt you like to know?" She then nodded once more and then walked toward the exit and the fresh night air, that promised some cooling effect.

Stephan; enjoyed a good puzzle, a little challenge, made life interesting. He also enjoyed fine wine and even finer women but now wasn’t the time or place to discuss his tastes; maybe later. Yes, it’s a threat, just most take it as a promise not for the danger it truly is. The woman was small, tiny compared to the height and the breadth of him; he felt huge to her delicate. When her light laughter touched his ears he had to resist the shiver that wanted to course down his spine. She was definantly vampire, no mere mortal woman could have such a seduction enchanting laugh, he had a feeling though that she came very close when she was human. Of course he knew that there was no harm done and there never would be unless the other purposely wanted to harm him, it was simple conversation and flirtation, you could say. That seemed to be want Stephan did a lot, flirt and flaunt, entice and enchant- wasn’t a bad life.
Stephan truly believed she’d give him her name, I mean he’d taken the first steps of polite chatting and given his, yet as her smile turned mysterious he had a sinking feeling he’d have to ‘work for his supper’ if you wanted to think of it in such terms. He laughed out loud when she push one of those adorable curls away and threw the dare at him before disappearing out onto the balcony where he’d been not long ago. His grin turned rakish as the last of her disappearing like a shadow in the night. She’d just made tonight interesting, funny how one woman, one line, and two minutes of silence could take a boring evening and turn it into a interesting night.
Stephan stood out in the shadows for a few moments, waiting for a waiter to pass by, while passing Stephan grabbed two wine glasses then slipped away. One of the nice things about being a vampire, you could slip and sneak about and most humans didn’t pay you that much attention. Once again stepping out into the cool night, he took a refreshing breath while spotting his prey. Slipping up behind her, he crowded her space daring her to move away. “Your still young aren’t you, sweeting?” He purred in a whisper “No one’s taught you not to tempt the devil…. Your liable to get bit” he offered a glass then, letting the red liquid catch the sparse lights from the large room not far behind then. Stephan had been born before just before the War for independence with the states; in fact his father had died in that war leaving him all the riches any young English lad would love. That was probably why he’d always been so reckless and wild, no father to put him in his places. He’d been born an heir, had turned an earl at the ripe age of five course his uncle had taken care of finances and such till Stephan had turned sixteen then Stephan was on his own. He lowered his head just enough so she’d know he was there, just in case she could block him out of her sight. He let his nose brush a wayward curl before grinning and straightening and moving leaning against the banister near her. “Wonderful cool night, isn’t?” the way he said it left no room to wonder if he was serious, he was totally sarcastic. It was anything but cool and he wanted to ripe the suit coat right off then go a step farther and take the shirt off in hopes of cooling the feverish heat caressing his normally cool skin.

Ali heard his light laughter as she walked away from him. It made her smile to herself and light scold herself as well. What had she gotten herself in to? She barely knew Stephan. But yet she was having fun. She was a good tease when she wanted to be. She hadnt had this much fun in a while. As she reached the balcony though she knew he would come after her. She had left a challenge for him. And what male vampire in his right mind wouldnt rise to the occasion? So it was obvious she could expect him soon. So she kept her sense alert for him. She wouldnt want him sneaking up on her now would she?
Not that it mattered. If someone even stepped foot out on to the balcony then she would hear it. Even now she could hear the chatter of the humans. If she really wanted to..she could pinpoint every person and what they were saying. It was her job to listen for things. She had very good hearing. Not many could compare to her. And she wanted to keep it that way. She placed her pale, delicate hands on the banister and looked out on to the ocean of sand. She couldnt understand how anyone would want to live here. There was no life. No city hum that she was used to. She missed New York. And Hollywood. The bright lights and cool evenings. The light chatter of a new movie or play, or some other thing going on downtown in the heart of the city. Camera's, lights, she really was a city girl at heart.
“Your still young aren’t you, sweeting?”
That same small smile from before appeared on her lips and she could sense him. He was oh so close. But when she stared ahead she couldnt see him. Only feel him. He was right behind her, and invading her space. But she knew what he was trying to do, make her move away. But she wasnt going to let him win this game. Two could be ruthless players. She just tilted her head only a fraction and listened to his words as he continued on.
“No one’s taught you not to tempt the devil…. Your liable to get bit”
She chuckled a little above a whisper, her small shoulders lifting. She then raised an eyebrow as he showed her the glass of red wine. She took it of course and then stayed stark still as he brushed his nose across one of her curls. Out of the corner of her eye she could see him. She only smiled. A devil huh? But didnt he know that devils could be tamed? And that sometimes people dont fear them. Ali was a very naive little girl. She wasnt afraid of things that she should be terrified of. You could say she would bite the hand that fed her even if it held a whip. Daring little Ali. Most likely she would pay for it one day. But for now she could enjoy just being here. She watched him walk around her and then lean on the banister.
“Wonderful cool night, isn’t?”
Once again she chuckled. She took a sip of her wine and then turned her back to the sand and leaned against the banister. Not very lady-like..but she didnt care. She didnt consider herself a lady anyhow. So she nodded gently at his comment. "Yeah. But we should be thankful. It could be hotter." She shrugged then and placed the wine glass down by to the side of her. "Im used to heat though. So it doesnt bother me as much. And going back to your previous comment. I am young. But doesnt mean Im not smart. I know what Im doing. And sometimes if you mess fire with fire..it makes an explosion."

Stephan knew she’d sense him, He was a powerful being, you couldn’t not sense him. He covered his movement to the slight rustling of the wind as he stepped outside but he figured she heard him anyway. Egypt, at least where they were was rather isolated, The Baron and built something close to a palace out in the middle of the sands, He had a large house, then a stone court yard and buildings then a high wall then nothing but sand. It was quiet, you could hear the lone desert wolf howling over three miles away. The Moon was full and the breeze as cool as cool as Egypt would allow any way, it was still hot though a warm breeze but it was cooler then no breeze at all. He came up behind her; both small delicate hands holding onto the banister; he was tempted to put his hands on ether side of her and trap her there but decided not to corner the girl yet. Just because she was small didn’t mean she wasn’t lethal. He knew that small woman could hurt you just as much as a large one and a vampire one even more.
Oh, he knew he was a devil and he knew the temptation to tame devils was high. So many dare devils waiting to risk their lives to put the chain around his neck. Oh, he loved it, he loved toying with people; Women who thought they could wrap him around their little fingers and have him at their beck and call. It was just so much fun to play with them, cat and mouse almost. Stephan liked women who bite, so much more fun then the ones who whimpered and fainted, claws and teeth all the way. He watched her, lean back similar to him, against the banister, he grinned at her in something very close to boyish delight. Women of this time were so… refreshing. He still e enjoyed watching them throw off all pre-conceived Ideas and doing what they wanted. Taking a stand for themselves, it was so fascinating when you’d grown up where woman only wore light colors and followed all the rules never spoke out were just limpid little china dolls really.
He chuckled, thinking about many different ways it could be hotter. No one could ever say he wasn’t an active man, in fact if she were prey and not simple companion for the moment it probably would be hotter out here. Stephan cradled his glass between to fingers on his left hand, occasionally stroking his thumb up the smooth cool globe to entertain himself. He chuckled, he knew for a fact she was young, she still had the stench of life clinging to her in different places, like her hair, and that dimple above her elbow, right behind her ear, there were several lovely places Life liked to cling before it was washed away by eternity. “There’s only a explosion if you add something to it.. say gunpowder. Frankly though it’s hard to find good suits any more and A bullet hole threw the breast pocket is so hard to cover. So I won’t be offending you anytime soon… least I’ll try” He flashed her a roguish smirk. Shifting his weight from one lean hip to the other he gave off a dramatically sigh. Shakespeare would have been proud. “I don’t believe dear you’ve told me your name yet” he purred as if by after thought as he paused holding the rim of his glass to his sensual mouth before taking a drink.

Ali watched him with hooded eyes. She had curiosity and mischief in them. Even when she had been human she had been mischievous. Anything that could get her in to trouble she would do. Her friends hadnt been the best group either. Even as a human she had stood out and didnt blend in. She had gotten used to that by the time she was fourteen. But when she turned fifteen she was changed. Thats why her looks now were that of a young adult. She had grown into her looks at that age but she still had that gentle child look. She always would have that. Its one mistake that people loved to mistake with her. They thought her a child. She may look like an older teenager, but she had the mind of a twenty-two year old. And that mind was sadistic at times. Mostly kind, but you didnt want to mess with her. She was a fireball waiting to explode.
She had had troubles adjusting to being a vampire. She enjoyed it now because of all her friends. But when she had first been turned she had hated everything. She would stay away from people, kill only for the blood. It had been a hard life. She raised an eyebrow though when a dark look entered his eyes after her words. She wondered what he was thinking about. To bad vampires werent like in the movies and books. Reading minds and such. She wondered if he was thinking about the taming a devil comment or the weather. It was always hard to tell with males. Normally she could read people though but Stephan was proving difficult. Oh well. She enjoyed challenges. She shrugged only slightly, barely noticeable. She then watched him. She looked over her shoulder back at the sands as a wolf howled. Was it a normal wolf or was it a werewolf? She didnt know and she didnt want to find out. She knew both species lived all over the place. Some where nice and some werent.
“There’s only a explosion if you add something to it.. say gunpowder. Frankly though it’s hard to find good suits any more and A bullet hole threw the breast pocket is so hard to cover. So I won’t be offending you anytime soon… least I’ll try”
This simple comment made Ali laugh out loud. She covered her mouth with her hand and tried to stifle the giggles. She took only a minute and then she was composed and with a gentle smile on her face. "I agree. Dont offend me. But your no where close at the moment. Ill warn you if you are. I dont like to be violent. But I will be if the matter chooses for me to. And I would do a lot worse then a whole through the pocket." She told him and chuckled again. She was enjoying her time here with him. But she noticed the hunters gaze in his eyes. What was he up to? She would figure it out eventually. She always did. Stephan was just a puzzle with a few more pieces needing to be placed into the right spot. At his dramatic sigh though she raised an eyebrow. What was he thinking about now? But soon enough she knew the topic of which he was sighing.
She shifted her weight to her right leg and hip and was now looking at him a little more but still leaning against the banister. She was trying to decide if she should tell him or not. She normally gave her name off when the other did. Sometimes she was first in saying names, but how long would Stephan last before he demanded her name? She was going to find out. "What if I choose not to give it?" She asked him quietly and then sipped at her wine like he did. She was looking at him curiously. The ball was in his court now. What would he swing back?

Stephan knew she looked young, course he did too, not as young as she. He'd been turned at twenty eight and he'd forever be twenty now.Course before he'd been turned he'd been a devil, he'd run wild debauching women and seducing innocents and being a reckless rogue. Now though he was an immortal Rogue, Debauching Women, Seducing innocents, reckless blood sucker. He'd never never really had a hard time being a vampire, there were times he was put out with it. Like when his mother was dying and old and he was still twenty eight and he was getting odd looks or when he had to give up all he owned for his closet heir becuase he couldn't play Lord any more. Really though life in England at his time it hadn't been hard to be a vampire. In fact you could say that was the Baby boom of vampire births. Most of the time English people didn't waje up till sometime past noon and then they didn't hold balls or parties until late, not there were brunches and garden walks that were held in the brood day light. Those he missed before he had been a vampire though, usually sleeping off the product of drinking all night.
Stephan prided himself at being a mystery, it made life interesting for him and everyone around him. Besides he truly was a complicated person, and right now he was having a hard time just thinking. Did she have to look at him like that, or look like that, or smell ah! he was torturing himself. That's what he got for being... well... Him. Oh, her laugh gave him goose bumps, he grinned at her. She had an enchanting laugh, he loved it. He chuckled at her "My pocket is the only thing I'm worried about" he teased her "Though I think I could take care of you if you tried anything." He purred winking at her, and shifting to be closer to her.
Stephan chuckled shaking his head, sending one of his loose dark curls brushing against his forehead."Then I'll find a way to get it.." He threatened in a menacing purr as he smirked at her but it was a rougish smile. His dark eyes sparkling with mischief and fun. HE loved flirtingm he loved the fun and the fire it sparked in his blood, which was in more ways then one. " I have many interesting theories to prying knowledge from my victoms... care to try..." he asked purring agian.
(Sorry it's so small.. I'm half out of my mind at the moment but wanted to post.)

Ali continued to study him intently. Something about him kept calling to her to figure him out. But she would keep her distance. She wasnt sure if she could handle a 'devils' play at the current time. But she would tease and prod as much as he did at the moment. There was nothing wrong with a little fun. And all vampires teased at one point or another. She remembered her friend Rose. One of the most lively vampires she had ever met. But Rosey was also one to get her way. It was her way or the highway and she wasnt afraid to tell you to your face that she didnt like you or that she didnt want you around. If you messed up her outfit, it was trouble for you. You could expect a fight. But she had always been so kind to Ali. And only Ali had ever seen her dear friend cry and be vulnerable. She never wanted to see that side of her friend again. Never in her life time had she been so scared for someone else.
Okay. Maybe that was a lie. Sometimes people told her she was far to compassionate. She could care about a flower about to be crushed and pick a fight with a person over it. And then other times she was like now. Mysterious and prodding. She had no idea why she chose to be like that with Stephan. Maybe it was because he was being the same way. She tended to react to her company with her emotions and he sure was playing a mysterious character. She could tell that he was older then her. He still looked young of course. She was still getting used to the idea of forever being like this. He seemed comfortable with it. Which gave her the notion that he was older. And she could also tell that he was a man that liked to seduce women. Try to tease them and bring them into his clutches. She wasnt going to fall for it though if thats what his intentions were. She was smarter then that.
Their conversation went back to the gun once again. At his comment about being able to take care of her if she tried she rolled her eyes lightly. Everyone always underestimated her. It was their biggest mistake. She wasnt someone to mess with and toy around with and expect to get out scotch clean. Oh no. She could do some mighty big damage if she wanted to. She wasnt a violent person though and for those kinds of damages to be done you had to really piss her off or put her life in danger. Or more importantly someone she loved dearly in danger. As he moved closer to her she knew this was part fo the games to try and get her to say her name. She wasnt going to give in and tell him anytime soon though. So his hopes for getting it out of her would probably be wasted.
" I have many interesting theories to prying knowledge from my victoms... care to try..."
At these words she smirked behind her wine glass. She had turned so she was looking back out at the sand. She could see him from the corner of her eye, and she glanced at him slightly. "Oh really now?" She whispered to him. But she knew he could hear her clearly. "You will find Im not like any other person you have probably met. It will take much more then theories to get my name out."
((Im soooooo sorry i took forever. School had me swamped. But im back!!))

Stephan didn’t under estimate her, he knew she could probably kick his butt if she wanted too. He just had confidence in himself to be able to handle what ever she threw at him. He hadn’t ever come across a woman who could resist him for long, They played hard to get but one had never resisted long. So how he was getting the idea though she wasn’t as easily swayed by his charm. Oh, well he might just have to switch his plan of action. Can you blame him if he’s interested? He’s a man and a vampire so to find a lovely little lady of the night in a stuff old crypt party, what do you expect him to do? Especially after he’s in the aftermaths of a feeding rush? He’s was bored stiff and now he has a delectable little mystery on his hands, he’s not going to sit idle and ignore the girl for anything.
Now to your question about his age he is old though he looks young she’d been around his the war for independence, he just didn’t fight in it. Couldn’t risk coming home with a scar or some nasty injury… or not coming home at all. Which meant that he was at that lovely masquerade ball when Madame Lessette was looking for a new toy, and wouldn’t you know it he was her choice.
He chuckled when she blew off his theories, he eyed her for a moment as if considering her. “Unlike any other person I’ve ever met, huh?” He asked resting his elbows on the cool metal railing. “Tell me sweetheart what makes you so sure your not like any other woman I’ve met in my, long long existence.” He purred giving her a cocky grin “and I’ve met a lot of women.” He chuckled shaking his head and giving a wry grin before taking a sip of his wine. “Though I suppose there really not theories… more like proven plans of action. Or something, never was very good at naming anything. I named my childhood dog.. puppy simply because that was what it was.” He said laughing at himself, he was a bit better now then he was then.
“So what would I have to do to get your name from tempting lips” Flirt threw and threw. “Just incase you want to make it easy one me” he said almost pouting at her, because she wouldn’t share something so simple as her name.

Ali watched him with her dark eyes like a cat might watch a bird. She wasnt going to attack him but she still had that curiosity about him. She could see by the way he was staring at her and the shift in his walk and the way he was grinning that he was planning something. There was always something up this males sleeve. She didnt know what but she would be prepared for it. She could also tell that he was amused by her comments. Each one that she had made was followed by a grin or a small laugh. She took a sip from her glass and then waited for his words. What would he respond to her last statement?
When he asked her what made her so different from other women she just laughed. She didnt know where to start. She leaned back against the railing once more and then pondered. What could she tell him. There was a list she had. But she didnt want to bore him. She may tease but she wasnt impolite. She looked back at him. "Well..one..Im sure you have been with many women. What with your failed attempts of flirting with me. As for what makes me different..there are many things that could be named off. Mostly though..I dont think you have ever met a women able to resist you. And resist is what im doing. Im not even batting an eyelash."
She grinned at him, showing her fangs slightly. "And Im probably to polite for your liking." She told him finally. She took another sip from her glass and listened to him rant off on his theories or as he corrected himself, proven actions. She raised an eyebrow. "Proven actions? Well I can prove they wont work. And as I said before...Its not working on me. And why should I give my name? I know yours and you know Im not from around here and young. Surely you dont need more?"

She watched him almost as intensely as he watched her, well she wasn’t fresh off the living wagon then, she’d learned to watch and study all, vampire or not. Well she could have learned that on the streets when she was still breathing, but it really would have hit home once bitten. I mean think about it the person who changes you.. is actually killing you. They become your parent in the sense yet they murdered you, stripped you of what and who you once were. Really can’t trust anyone; vampires tended to lean to being a bit selfish, thinking of themselves before others, even those who were closest to them.
Stephan puffed air as she accused him of knowing many women” He did gape at her a hand flying to his heart “You wound me darling!” he pouted “It’s not failed attempts to flirt… I’m not even trying.” He said saving his backside; he wouldn’t let her know she’d wounded his pride or that he was slightly shocked she dared to even try resisting him. What was she doing? Didn’t she know there was some unsaid rule about never resisting him?! “Darling, I’ve noticed you’ve fluttered those long lashes more then once in the last few moments… I’d have to say your trying and it’s taking more then your letting on” He purred turning his head to look in on the party and chuckle “Actually I was thinking you a bit bold but bold women make fun friends.” He mumbled sipping his drinking and flashing her a smile.
Stephan moved closer to her, letting temptation pull him where he wanted to go. He picked a loose strand of hair and toyed with it for a moment listening to her. “Sweet heart there is so much I want to know. So… yes I need more… starting with a name or just give me a bit of DNA and I’ll find out for myself. May take me a while but worth it all.” He purred tugging playfully on her hair wondering if he could get a loose strand. Women were always loose hair, constantly shedding, like a pet. Gosh he hated lap dogs and cats. He loved women though, just not the kind that hung around, kind of like the puppies that followed you home, cute to pet not to keep. Least he hadn’t found any yet he wanted to keep. “Come Cher, surely it’s nothing horrible to just give me your name? Unless your something horrible like Augusta Ruperta Agatha… Avalon… Beatrice… Surely sweet you can’t even give me a nick name something to call you besides the fun little pet names I give every woman who crosses my path? Don’t you want to be remembered for me then just the pet who withstood… for a while.” He asked letting his fingers trail from the hair to her shoulder, fingers touching her neck feeling the skin for a moment, before pulling away and watching her for a moment. “Don’t make me beg” he purred begging in his own way.

As he puffed out air Ali could have purred. She could smell a victory on that. She was right about him knowing many women. She wasnt going to be one of them however. She had decided on this a few moments beforehand. She raised an eyebrow at him though as he gaped at her and said she had wounded him. After he was done she inspected him. "You dont seem wounded. Maybe just pride." She teased at him. She loved teasing him. It was to much fun. And then at his comment she smirked and looked back at the party. She chuckled softly and rolled her eyes. "If I was trying love...You would know. Trust me on that one." She told him and glanced at him slightly. She knew she was pushing her luck. But she didnt mind so much.
When he moved closer and took a strand of her hair she watched him wearily. Slightly. She knew she could handle him. So she wasnt panicking. Not at all. He was only touching her hair after all. He was tugging on her reddish hair and she was left to wonder what was going on. What he was trying to do. But then he answered her question. DNA. Was he trying to tug her hair out? But she let him mess with it and she just sipped on her drink. She tilted her head so she could watch him better. She chuckled softly and just rolled her eyes. "Im more stubborn then bold." She told him to answer his previous comment. She was one for pushing her luck at times. Thats because she knew which people she could push her luck with.
As he started to ramble off names she laughed and shook her head. None of them were even close. "Gracious no." She told him. "Those arent even close. If they were I would be ashamed of myself. And my parents." She shook her head and then placed her now empty glass on the railing beside her. She chewed on her bottom lip and tried to decide what to do. She knew he would end up begging. It would be amusing to watch him beg. But she decided against it. "Oh dear me. Dont beg. Not like a dog. Im not that cruel of a woman. And who said I resisted for a while? Im not even trying as you said before. You cant be resisting if something isnt tempting." She told him with a slight glimmer in her eyes. "And my name..is Ali."

Stephan smirked snorting some “I’ve got pride to spare, doesn’t bother me if you try to prick it.” He grinned at her, hiding the slight second guessing he was doing over every action and words he spoke, he was now running every line every move twice threw before doing it. She wouldn’t know though, he looked completely at ease like he could careless if she was a puddle at his feet or cold hard stone in his hands. “Sweet they go hand and hand, stubborn and bold; their like first cousins.” He told her watching her face tilt to watch him, the faint moonlight grazed her cheek like a lover’s caress lighting up the pail skin, making him feel slightly jealous of the moon.
Stephan tossed the last of his glass drink down and then picked up her own glass and set it next to his. “Try having Martha for a middle name. Bloody tradition” he growled his jaw muscles tensing for a moment before he was once again at ease. Then he openly gaped at her! A dog?! She dared to call him or even refer to him as a dog! He was hurt and sniffed in igdignation. “Dog I think not. Darling I don’t beg for scraps like a lap dog, nor to I dance for it. Sweet… I earn it.” He purred learning close and purposely blowing on her ear. He raised an eyebrow at her, “Not tempting not even a little?” he caught her name then he patted the railing before standing and grabbing the glasses and walking into the building to put the glasses on a passing waiter’s tray.
Coming back he grinned like a boy “Didn’t even have to beg and I got it. I’d say you’re a little bit acceptable to my charms.” He purred leaning back against the railing crossing his ankles and staying close to her. “Since we’re playing twenty questions I believe it’s your turn…” He said chuckling and looking at her.
