Ella pounced into the graveyard grasping tightly to a large bottle of cheap whiskey. She could afford the smoother, but she had intentions of getting slammed and she wanted it going down rough. She opened it slowly and took her first gulp. She hissed as burning turned into a warm sensation spreading down to her stomach.
Ella threw the lid. She didn't need it anyway. She kicked the small rocks and ruble that she passed. She lifted the bottle back to her lips and greedily drank from it. After a while, it all went down smooth. She leaned against a wall of a tomb and allowed her body to slid down against it.
Her jeans were dirty, ripped, and torn from running through the woods. Small twigs and leaved adorned her hair. There were a few lashes across her face. nothing too bad, nothing serious. She cared for none of it. She wiped her mouth and sighed, looking up at the half formed moon.
She leaned her head back against the cool stone. She had come a long way from her mothers ratty little apartment and the damn strip club she worked in just a few years ago. She smirked as she pulled the bottle back to her lips. She had a pack. A pack she loved. A pack that came before her own personal feelings and goals. She had Patrick. he was the first and only male she would allow to lead her.
She let her gaze fall back into the forest outlining the graveyard. If that were all so true why did she still feel out of the loop sometimes? Ella still felt like something was missing, even though she had everything she wanted, but what was it? She released a horrendous growl that echoed for miles. She brought the bottle to her lips. "Bottoms up." She tilted her head back and began 'chugging' the whiskey.

Katra yawned as she walked down the street. She looked up at the sky and the moon and blew her bangs out of her eyes when they fell into her face. They always gave her trouble. Maybe she would get them cut shorter. Then again, maybe not. But her mind wasnt on her hair at all. No, it drifted to where it normally went.
She was heading towards the graveyard to look at her family's graves but as she got closer she could pick up several things. She smelt Ella, and then the scent of whiskey and depression. The howl stopped her in her tracks and then she picked up her pace. Was she okay?
When she entered in to the graveyard though she had to use her sense of smell to find her. When she did there was sympathy in her eyes. "Ella?" She asked. She didnt walk to fast to the other werewolf's side in case she startled her. She was rather worried.

Ella looked up. She had known that Katra was coming, she had felt it. Now she was thankful that she hadn't bought more whiskey. That would have been embarrassing. Her alpha stumbling around drunk. Not that this wasn't embarrassing enough. She should never let her weakness show to her pack.
She patted the earth beside her and smiled. "I'm okay Katra." She liked Katra. She seemed solid and reliable. This pleased Ella. It was hard to show your ranks in a pack as a female, but this one certainly had Ella's high vote. She smiled up at her, some of the sorrow fading away.

Katra stood there and looked at Ella with worried eyes. She had seen patrick drink before so seeing one of her alpha's drinking wasnt a surprise. She didnt blame them either. Times got hard..and at those times..you just wanted to brake down and cry. Or in this case, or most cases, down a whiskey bottle. She herself had wanted to do that every now and then.
When Ella pat the dirt beside her she went over and sat down by her. She still looked worried even though she had claimed everything was all right. She leaned back against the tomb and kept her kind gaze on Ella. "Whats wrong? You can tell me. And no lying missy. Im a big girl and can tell something is wrong." She smiled slightly to try and lighten her mood.

Ella chuckled. "I don't really know, honestly. I feel so out of the loop sometimes. I feel like I don't always belong here with all of you." She sighed and took another swig from her bottle then offered it to Katra. She leaned up and pulled her knees to her chest.
"Patrick is so raw and livid, and perfect for anyone just depending on their needs. He always knows exactly what to say and what to do. And I..." She sighed and looked off again. "I'm afraid I fall short sometimes."
She plucked at a few strands of grass beside her sandal. "I don't always feel like I should be Patrick's' equal. I am so afraid of letting him down. I don't know what I would do if I ever disappointed him."

Katra sat quietly and listened to Ella. She could feel how she felt. Like she wasnt good enough. That she couldnt do anything right. That the whole world was against her. Or was she just feeling her own emotions? But she nodded at Ella slightly. And when she offered the bottle to her she took it and took a swig and then rubbed her eyes.
She sighed slightly and nodded. "I can understand. Even me who has been in the pack since I was young. Sometimes I feel out of the loop. I never want to let him down. And I only see him as a father figure. It must be so much harder for you. But look at it this way. You have such a fiery spirit and get what you want. He loves that in you." She looked at her with her tawny eyes and she was speaking what she believed. "He loves you. What ever you do will please him. I know that for sure."

Ella smiled at her. It was a real genuine smile. She already felt better. She nudged Katra with her elbow. They were so close in age that it baffled Ella. She should be doing more things with her than just focusing on being a good leader. Not that she didn't love her pack, because she did.
Joining her pack to Patrick's was they best thing she had ever done. She loved them all. But she could be more than just an alpha. She smiled as the worry ebbed from her features. She looked at Katra and sighed. "Thank you Katra." She brushed the hair away from her face. "How about you darling? Are you alright as well?"
Times like these were unsafe to be wandering around alone. Katra was though, a big girl. She wouldn't lecture her. But something important brought her out here alone. She had helped sooth Ella. Ella could at least try and sooth her.

Katra was very pleased to see her alpha smile. She was good at that. Helping people feel better. She had the gentle personality when it came to people she loved. She didnt want to see them hurt at any cost. And she was a naturally kind person besides the thoughts of vampires.
So when Ella thanked her she nodded slightly and smiled and then she blinked when she asked if she was all right. That was the question wasnt it? She was. But she was a little depressed tonight. But those matters could be put on hold for the alpha. Her problems came first. "Im fine Ella. No worries." She said with a smile.

Ella sighed and took the whiskey from her. She put the bottle to her lips and let it trail down to her belly. She smiled. "Now, now darling. You eased me, let me help you."
Katra might have been an expert at soothing loved ones, but Ella knew when someone was lying to her. She chuckled lightly. "Let me live up to my role as Alpha." She handed the bottle back to her and watched her. "You'll feel better, I already do."

Katra watched as she took the bottle from her and took another sip and then caught her on the lie. She chuckled and pushed her hair back and then nodded. "All right." She said. She knew there was no getting away from it. And maybe talking about it would help. She normally brooded by herself. And that made her anger stir at times. How she had been so helpless....
She leaned back and when the bottle was handed back to her she took a big drink. She sighed and then let out a deep breath. "Well, im not sure if you heard about my history or not. But when I was young....a vampire attacked all of my family. Killed them all. My mother...father...and little sister. Patrick saved me. I always blame myself. That I couldnt help them." She said and closed her eyes as her eyes burned from unshed tears.
She wasnt going to cry. She refused. So she took another drink from the whiskey bottle.

Ask me how it feels to have myself so figured out. I wish I knew.
Ella sighed and put her arm around Katra. She sighed softly. She did know her history, but she didn't know that she blamed herself. She straightened. "You know better than that darling." She kissed the side of her head.
"What happened is in no way your fault. There was nothing you could do. Just like their was nothing Caleb could do to save his father." She moved to her knees and crawled where she could be facing Katra. She placed her hands on her shoulders and looked into Katra's eyes.
They were so full of pain and guilt. "Darling, I swear to you that it wasn't your fault. And more so, I give you my word that I will help you hunt down and rip apart as many vampires as you like. I would do that not for myself, but for you. I won't stop fighting until you do."
Ella kissed her forehead and pulled her into her arms. She smoothed her hair back. "It's okay to cry. It doesn't make you weak." Ella had sworn to do everything in her power to protect Patrick's pack as her own when she joined him, but she would kill for Katra. Not for herself or Patrick. She would help give katra the peace that she had given to her.

After Katra had told Ella she felt slightly bad for bothering her. Her problems were nothing that Ella should be having to worry about but when she looked at her alpha she seemed to want to help. She told her it wasnt her fault and that there had been nothing she could do. Deep down Katra knew that to be true but she still blamed herself. She felt the empty hole in her heart where her family was every day. Especially for her sister. So young....
Katra blinked when Ella sat down in front of her and placed her hands on her shoulders and told her she would help her. She would help her kill as many of those bastards as Katra wanted. And she wouldnt stop helping her until Katra was ready to stop. That made Katra's heart swell and she couldnt hold back the tears anymore. They slid down her cheeks and she hugged Ella tightly.
"Thank you. You dont know how much that means to me Ella." She whispered quietly but knew her alpha would be able to hear her words in the darkness.

Aubrey held Katra against her and smoothed back her hair in a motherly manor. She rocked the two back and forth while humming a soft tune. She remembered how hard it had been for Ella to break down and cry when Patrick had first ran into her.
Ella cringed as she thought about the woman she used to be. Ella was once very rash and cruel. When she was appointed Alpha of her last pack she ripped the throat from her Ulfric. He had intentions of making her slave, not his equal. he also miss treated their pack. It was her pack then. they followed her and they loved her. but they were not whole. Patrick changed all of that.
She continued humming and rocking Katra like a small child. none of this was her fault. How dare such a lower creature make one of her people hurt in this way. It was bad enough that her family was taken form her, but they were giving the guilt to her as well. She smiled against the woman's tears. "I do know what it means. The words mean just as much to you as your did to me."
