Reading over Summer's text message he took in a deep breath, anticipation building up inside of him. There were more than a million things running through his mind right now. He set his cell phone down on the small nightstand which sat beside his bed and stood up. Running his fingers through his hair, he started to pace back and forth waiting anxiously for that, what seemed to be long awaited knock on the door. Jay knew that it would only take Summer a few minutes, if that, to get to his place from where ever she was.
Wincing a bit, he stopped pacing and placed his hand over his wounded shoulder. He had his arm hung in a sling since it hurt him too much to move it, even a little. His shoulder had been broken from the attacked he encountered the night before and the deep bite wound seemed like it was never going to heal. He looked over at the bandages that were wrapped sloppily around his shoulder and let out a soft sigh. It was pretty difficult patching yourself up when you only had one hand handy.
The clothes he had worn the previous night laid in a pile in the center of his room. His shirt had only one sleeve left since the other had been torn off and most of it was soaked with blood. The jeans he had been wearing had some blood on it and for his favorite leather jacket? It was ruined.
Becoming too anxious he jogged down the small flight of stairs and stepped into his living room area, pacing in front of the hallway enterance which led to the front door. What do I tell her? What do I say first? He was growing more and more nervous by the minute.

Summer's steps were quick, but yet, remarkably graceful, as she walked down the oh-so familiar streets. She took out her cell, seeing if Jaysin had send her another text message. Apparently not, then.
What the hell was going on with him? He had never been so serious before, to her, at least. Was there really something going on, or was he just joking with her? It would be a terrible joke then, to make a loyal friend worry about you over some sick, twisted joke. If this was a joke, Jay would be in a lot of trouble.
But what if it wasn't a joke at all? What if there really was something bad going on with Jaysin? What if her friend was in need of help, what if she couldn't even help him? If she was helpless, destined to just watch him bleed inside, die a little more each day? Maybe he had some terrible disease, something...
Honestly, she didn't know what to think of it. She hadn't even noticed that she had reached his place, as she hurried up the stairs, anticipation building inside of her, more and more each second that passed. She knocked on his door, a terrible smell crossing her nose. She grimaced. "Mutt?"She questioned herself. Did a werewolf live in the same building?

The light knocking of her knuckles hitting against his front door nearly made Jaysin jump out of his skin. He should have been expecting it though. He heard the hurried footsteps coming up the stairs and towards his place but he was so lost in his thoughts that he had ignored it. For a few moments he stood at the end of the hall, staring out towards the door. Just let her in. he urged himself.
It wasn't long before he was at the end of the hallway, slowly pulling the door open for her. He pressed his lips tightly together and swallowed, feeling the lump in his throat build up. His eyes slowly moved up from the floor up to her face. Instead of the light brown she was so used to, they were now tinted with yellow. Jay wasn't aware of his eyes being different. If he knew, he wouldn't have looked directly at her.
"H-hey, that was fast." He kept behind the door in an attempt to conceal the sling from her. He already knew that he must have gotten her really worried and didn't want to her to worry about something silly like his broken shoulder. It was silly to him, at least.
Pulling the door back more, he gave her enough room to walk in. He forced a smile and stayed behind the door. "That was fast." he repeated again, completely forgetting he had said it already and as if he didn't know she would be here that quick. His thoughts had been all over the place.

As Jaysin opened the door, the terrible smell got even stronger. What was wrong with him?! "Jay, is there a werewolf in here?" It was the first thing she asked, how thoughtless of her. How unkind. It was his fault, after all. She couldn't help it. It wasn't like her to blame someone else, or to be so mean... What was wrong with her?
"H-hey, that was fast." he was so nervous, so utterly nervous. He was so uncomfortable around her now, it killed her. "Jay, what happened to your eyes? And your shirt? What the hell happened to you? Gotten under a buss or something?" He was standing behind the door, so she let herself in. She Took a quick look at him, and his shoulder was bleeding. "Jay!" She gasped, rushing over to aid him. She didn't have any experience with nursing someone, so she knew she wouldn't be of much use. "What happened to your shoulder?"
She was so shocked, so worried, that she wasn't even aware of the fact that she knew, in the back of her mind. The smell, that grew stronger as he opened the door. His eyes, a yellow tint to them. His wounds, his blood smeared clothes... "You don't have to say it, I know you don't know how."
She felt somewhat betrayed, but still, it was her friend. Even if he was... What he was. Jaysin had been such a good friend, this would not change that fact. It was a mistake, one that could not be undone... there was nothing to do about it. He was now a creature, no longer completely human, but still, completely her friend. "Let's get you to a hospital."

"Jay, is there a werewolf in here?"
His jaw nearly dropped to the floor. How the hell did she know? He had no idea that he was giving off a specific smell but he did notice that Summer smelt different. What was it? He had no idea.
Once she stepped in he quickly shut the door and locked it. For some reason he was being paranoid. As if something was out there to get him. He couldn't help it though. After being viciously attacked, how else would anyone react?
"M-my eyes?" He brought his hand up to his face, brushing his finger tips against his eyelid for a moment. "W-what's wrong with them?" he stammered. He was clueless to the fact that they had changed.
He quirked a brow at her as she mentioned his shoulder. He almost forgot all about it even though his arm rested in a sling. Now that it was back in his mind, he could feel the warm blood trickling down his chest. "Oh, it's nothing really." he wanted to keep the wound hidden behind the gauze. He didn't want her to see the bite wound but it was too late. She already knew.
"We can't go to the hospital." Jay couldn't stand doctors and she knew that. "They can't help me anyways." He was so quick to judge doctors. Of course they'd be able to help him but the main thing he was concerned about was being questioned about the wound. It looked nothing like a shark bite.
