"Lars, my name is Lars... it's really Lawrence, but you know, that's all long and just, Lars," he said smiling to the two, who obviously weren't in such a hyped up mood when stuck together, or on their own either he guessed.
"And I didn't mean suicide really... More so you accidentally killing yourself with my lighter... then you have friends, they come after me, not so good," he reasoned out loud, "Not to mention I would guess you'd go suicidal somewhere a bit more private than a bar, unless you're going to pull a mass murder thing, in which case, tell me when so I can leave before then, eh?" he said, joking around with something that shouldn't be joked around with, he knew, it wasn't all that humorous, but he didn't really expect laughter to come after his sarcasm.

"Nice to meet you, Lars." Helena said, looking him over. She wanted to make sure this was someone that she could trust. There was something about him that bugged her about him that made her want to know his whole life story. She quickly shook that off and took another drag at her cigar. "By the way, my name is Helena. She added as she blew out the smoke.
"You got a point there but, how would anyone now that the lighter is yours? Unless you have your named engraved on it then that's a whole different story." Helena said, looking at him before looking back at the silver lighter. She didn't say anything about his little joke since she had almost committed suicide....twice in a public place. No one noticed her since to other people, she seemed invisible. She stopped herself both times and wondered if she was ever going to do it again.

October smirked at his comment, he seemed to be in good nature, which was good for October, she didn't need any more trouble, she'd seen her fair share the previous night. When he mentioned her friends, her smile faded from her lips. Another lifetime ago she was much more easy going, she'd joke, laugh, make friends. Things change, loaner, fighter, uptight, defensive, all frowns- that seemed more familiar to her now.
She slid the lighter back to Lars, "thanks," she said inhaling deeply, "going to have to remember to pick one up," she said to no one in particular, mostly in hopes she'd remember to do it herself.
"How come in our hypothetical story, I have to burn to a crisp?" October asked with a light smirk on her face.

"Well, my name's not on it... but I was mainly tell you, Helena, so that you wouldn't snitch when and and if we did have a crispy critter on the bar top... hypothetically speaking," he said with a half smirk, being sure to use her newly given name in acknowledgment, hoping his odd reasoning hopefully cleared up.
He snatched up the sliding lighter before it went any further down the top and dropped it back into his front jean pocket. He thought about his answer for a millisecond before action voicing anything, "Well, you were the one who broke a bottle in the process of almost burning a finger clean off, soo, it would be most likely you were the one to be in the delightful Crispy Critters Cereal. It's all very simple," he shrugged, almost having enough talk of burning lighters or thoughts of hypothetical stories. He snagged a swig of alcohol before returning to glancing back at the two while at the same time sorting through scattered thoughts.

"I think I see your point but, still, if this bar ever did burst into flames and I was the last one to touch the lighter, I would be blamed like half of the other problems I was blamed for." Helena replied, tapping out the ashes and taking another drag with a sip of beer in the process. She sighed and rested her fingers on her forehead, her thoughts scattered. I could either become drunk and make em' more scattered or just stop for the night and collect my thoughts. She thought, starring at her beer and went with her usual answer. Drink it away.
"Lars here is right. Your the one who almost killed herself while we're the ones watching you, wondering what the hell you are doing." Helena stated, her voice sounding a tiny bit slurred. Just a few more drinks jammed down her throat and she will be drunker then anyone in the bar. She took another sip of her beer and glanced at the two people beside her.
