Renz walked the streets of Hollywood. He was looking for a bar. He had his guitar over his shoulder in a case. Light rain fell from the sky. It was a rather gloomy night. He looked at the lights around him. Trying to ignore the loud noise of the city.
Renz hated loud noises; they bothered him most of the time. Even though when he got mad he would be a very, very loud person. But he just hated loud noises of the city. But he dealt.
He found a bar finally after a while of walking. He had been wearing a white t-shirt so it was basically now see through. He was very hott. But he usually ignored girls unless he was hungry… or unless he wanted a ‘good time’. He sat down in the bar and started to play his guitar.
[sorry thats all i could muster]

Once again, America has officially taken something and went overboard with it. Does a city really need all these lights?
Evelyn snatched up a pair of sunglasses from a vendor’s table, more like a box, on the sidewalk. Hmm, nice choice. The glasses were a glossy black, with the Coach logo on both sides. Evelyn placed them over her eyes and sighed in relief. That was much better. Her eyes were completely hidden behind the dark black tint. The good news about Hollywood, California was that she could get away with wearing sunglasses at night.
Once again, Evelyn decided to visit the US for their delicious food. She met an aspiring musician last week in London, and decided to take a visit and snack on him in his home town. No, "snack on him" was not some erotic euphemism. Evelyn wanted to literally snack on him.
An alluring, strange sound made Evelyn pause on the sidewalk for a moment. It was a sweet sound, and it came from a building across the street. Evelyn looked at the building for a moment. She could barely make out the sound from across the street because the city was so loud. Should she interrupt her quest for a tasty snack, and dare see what the source of this sound was?
Curiosity is Evelyn’s best friend. She just wouldn’t be able to go on through the night without that sound playing in the back of her mind, teasing her.
Evelyn looked up and down the street. There were plenty of cars, but traffic was heavy, and none of them were moving. Despite this fact, the cars still honked at Evelyn as she crossed the street. She rolled her eyes. It’s not like she was jumping in front of a car that was going 45 miles per hour. Or… maybe that wasn’t the reason they were honking.
The sound was a guitar, and it was coming from a bar. Evelyn entered and took a seat by the counter. She accepted the bartender’s tacky, flirtatious free drink offer, and watched the boy as he played. Evelyn took a quick sniff. He was a vampire. Well, that was obvious. No human could play so beautifully.

Grace had spent the majority of evening settled in a park with her guitar. It really was the love of her afterlife. She had been enjoying her time in the park. It was one of the few places she could get some peace in this city. Hollywood was a nice place to visit, but she would never leave her beloved London for long.
After some time in the park she decided to move on, in search of something more liquid. Heading into the streets she placed her earphones in place and turned the volume up on her mp3. She enjoyed the escape music gave her. It was like being placed in a world full of melody rather then the screech of cars and the hum of electronics that seemed to fill the air of this city.
Heading down the streets she wasn't looking for anywhere in particular. She paused for a moment to retie her shoe and as she bent down, one of her earbuds fell out of place. In the crisp air of the night the gentle strums of anothers guitar filled her ears. Her ears perked up and she lifted her head. She needed to know where this music was coming from, well more, who was making it.
The door to the bar was simple and there wasn't much of a crowd as she approached. The bouncer politely opened the door and gave her a wink, which she returned. She then stepped inside and scanned the room. The scent hit her, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. There were others like herself there. Two. Her eyes narrowed in on the guitar player. It seemed only fitting that he would be of her kind. There was another. A woman, far more beautiful then many she had seen. Grace adjusted her own guitar on her back and stepped through the room to the bar.
"Tennessee on ice, please." Her voice was clear as her classic accent cut through the air. The bartender complied, making a comment about her choice in alcohol. She simply smiled at him and perched herself on the barstool.

Miko looked around her, eyes sparkling in accomplishment. Ok, fine. So she hadn't made it out of the country yet to visit far off places she'd never seen before...But to be fair, California was way on the other side of the countru from New York. Anyone would consider "a far off place" if they were from New York. Really!
Miko was quite pleased with her surroundings. She loved the city. But this place was much brighter and mch warmer than she was used to. She had swapped her longer skirt out for a shorter plaid skirt some time ago and was wearing some plain black shades over her eyes. It was almost as bright as day here at night. But Miko was very happy about it.
As the moderately young vampire walked the streets, her delicate ears picked out the sounds of a guitar in a bar some blocks away from her. She sniled. "That sounds nice..." She headed in that direction till she came to stand in front of the door. Her eyes narrowed.
Breathing deeply, Miko could tell distinctly. There were at least three other vampires in that building. Miko walked in quietly and sat on the stool at the more shadowed end of the bar, as far from the vampires as she could. Her eyes scanned the room discretely. The one playing the guitar was obviously a vampire...And two of the more stunning females in the place were as well.
Miko turned to the bartender when he appeared before her. She asked for a shot glass and a bottle of Jack. Leave the bottle.

These past few weeks had been terrible. The rain was the perfect welcome. She had had enough of France, then she had gone of to England to explore a little, all with disappointment. Maybe this place would be a bit better. And dealing with vampires of all kinds; escaping from a complete psycho who nearly killed her just a few days back...
If only Claudia could have three wishes, she knew what they would be; first of all, dry clothes from the rain, second, she wished she would never, ever come across that psycho maniac vampire again, and of course...to be human again. Claudia let out a snort, feeling skeptical.
She walked in the rain...quite enjoying it after a while. The weather suited her mood. No, not crying that's for sure. But it was perfect in a certain way...that for once reminded her of peace. The rain's gentle drops soaked her, head to toe, but she paid no attention; she was wearing a nice black jacket, underneath was a white shirt, sleeveless; and black, fitting jeans, and her dark hair, long and wet, nearly reached her hip.
She ran her fingers through her hair, for no reason, walking slowly, no clue on where she was gonna stay next. Soon enough, she'd travel the world...her blue eyes shone brightly at the idea. It was the one thing that could actually make her happy for once...
After some time of walking, she turned on a corner and faced a bar. Thinking it wouldn't hurt to be inside, and away from the rain, she went inside. She immediately stopped walking for a while, unsure. She smelled vampires...and one particular one...Evelyn. She rolled her eyes, sighing as she did so. Then she suddenly started to hear music...sweet and soft...deciding to enter anyway, she took a seat, near the counter, and ordered a drink. There were apparently four vampires. Typical.
She looked around the place. Mostly the people were wet from the rain, others looked happy, others merely looked irritated. A few chairs away, she could hear a couple arguing, but another pair were whispering lovingly to each other. She blinked calmly, wondering when she ever felt....anything at all. Too bad. She was Claudia. She was the farthest thing from emotional. Placing her right arm on the seat, she crossed her legs and she glimpsed at the boy who was playing the guitar...listening to the music...

Phoenix wasn’t even paying attention to the rain the fell down on her face as she walked down the streets of California…She didn’t dare go to Adam’s pack house…Certain recent events had led to her no longer being trusted around there…And she couldn’t really blame them…Though this was completely her fault. If there was anything that she needed at this moment, it was definitely not to have people trusting her. That could turn out to be very, very bad. She wore a thin black pullover hoodie that hugged to her skin; the hood that she had pulled up did nothing to keep the rain from soaking her hair. Instead, her blonde hair was plastered to the side of her face, water streaking down her face, making it impossible to tell whether the moisture on her face was from the rain or tears…
At least she had managed to get away for awhile…Tarus she couldn’t even find today, Sevanni probably had him doing one thing or another…She had finished everything Aubrey had asked of her, so she asked Aubrey for permission to go out while they were in California…And Aubrey had allowed it, which was quite the shocker. Sure, she had been doing her best to act like a good little…pet and obey Aubrey and Sevanni, but still, she didn’t think that Aubrey would actually trust her out by herself…Then again, Aubrey had to know that she would come back, no matter what…They had Tarus. Tarus had not been doing so well, every time that Sevanni or Aubrey went to punish Phoenix for being defiant or running her mouth, Tarus would try to protect her. Sevanni would have a hay day with Tarus then…And it was all her fault…She was selfish enough to actually ask Tarus to remain with her…If not for her, he wouldn’t even be in this situation. Phoenix moved her hand up to her neck where a dark purple collar rested against her neck, and she suppressed a growl. They definitely did everything they could to emphasize how much of a ‘pet’ she was.
Phoenix stopped walking and looked around, slightly shocked. Without even realizing it, she had been walking aimlessly, and had apparently ended up right in front of a bar, the sound of a guitar filtering through the door. Phoenix smiled slightly, shaking her head. Without even really realizing that she was walking, she’d been following the sound of music until she walked straight up to a bar…Well, she definitely could use a drink, that was for sure. So, keeping her head down, she walked into the bar, careful not to look at anyone. She smelled vampires, and she’d be damned if she’d be caught out on her own by some of Sevanni and Aubrey’s lot…They’d probably believe she’d been trying to escape and take her back…After administering ‘proper’ punishment on their own first. She ordered a Crown and Ginger on the rocks, glad that she had thought to go by the bank and pick up a little money for something to eat and drink…Tarus apparently hadn’t closed down his account there.

Miko was taking her third shot when another vampire entered the bar. She winced. It was the music drawing them in, she knew it. Well, at least it was dry and there was little chance of any major problems arising in the middle of such an alive and large city.
Miko was on her fifth shot when she almost spat out the Jack, choking on the burning liquid in shock. 'Oh Lord! A lycan...' Miko glanced around behind her and ran her light colored eyes over the small crowd to the collar-wearing lady entering the bar with her head down. Miko quickly glanced upt the other vampires as she straightened herself back up in the seat. Pouring herself another shot(she was gonna need it), Miko pleaded with whatever higher power tha might be listening. 'Please no trouble while I'm here. I came for fun and relaxation...Not trouble...'
Miko was finally starting to feel the effects othe alcohol six shots into her bottle. Her stomach was begining to warm up. The girl sighed and leaned back against the wall behind her. So long as nothing was happening to cause her too much worry, she would just rest and enjoy the music. It was wonderful, after all. She looked around at some of the couples and groups in the bar.
"I wish I had my camera..." Miko mumbled. She had left her secret passion in her hotel room tonight by mistake. Too bad. There would have been some nice, warm shots here.

A scent. A very, very familiar scent...of a werewolf. It struck Claudia dumb as she turned her head around and was surprised to see Phoenix. How odd. She didn't feel so alien around the place anymore, as she faced her...acquaintance. Then a thought popped into her head. She was supposed to tell Phoenix about Jasmine's nighttime strolls...yes, it would do Jasmine good, she was too careless to care for herself. She left her full bottle of beer on the table, got up and walked up to her, leaning beside the counter, hands in her pockets.
"Hey Phoenix." she said lightly. How odd, she thought. Phoenix looked normal and all, but Claudia could tell something was wrong, she could see it in her eyes. She had seen that look of somewhat...misery and sadness all too well. How strange it was. Phoenix was tough, as far as Claudia knew. But she wasn't gonna butt in her life...Claudia wouldn't want anyone just bursting in.
She looked to her right and found Evelyn still sitting there, looking at the boy playing his guitar. They were both vampires obviously, she could tell from their scent. And another vampire a few tables away. Claudia wasn't one to socialize, and after her and Evelyn's little...disagreement, she wasn't so keen on talking to her again. Not that she wanted to with anyone else again. She turned back to Phoenix and said nonchalantly but seriously in a way, "You look down. But don't worry, I'm not one to interrogate people's personal lives. But anyway, I wanted to tell you about Jasmine. I think you should know that she got into trouble a few nights ago, running into vampires all over the place, everywhere she went. And nearly got killed by one psycho who nearly killed me as well. But I think she's fine now though..." she sat down, then put her left arm on the counter, wondering what Phoenix's reply would be. She stared at the window outside for a second, only to see that it was still raining. She heaved a sigh.

Phoenix sipped at her Crown and Ginger absentmindedly. She could smell all the vampires in the bar, and while a couple months ago that would have bothered her and she would have been cocked and ready to fight, since all the shit that's happened lately, she'd grown used to being surrounded by vampires. First she married one and befriended his coven members...Then she'd been made a slave by Sevanni and Aubrey--leaders of the Black Nail Coven, and enemies to her ex-pack and Tarus' ex-coven--along with her husband. Though she had no one to blame but herself, she had put herself in this situation, and all for Tarus...Not that she was having second thoughts. So long as Sevanni and Aubrey kept up their end of the bargain, then she would gladly serve them. What she did, she did out of love for Tarus.
She wasn't here to cause trouble--it wouldn't be good for her to unknowingly get into a fight wiht one of the BNC members and not know it...She wasn't familiar with all the coven members, but the punishment for fighting with one was likely to be severe...Especially if she hurt them.
Phoenix was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she didn't realize anyone was walking toward her. She nearly fell out of ehr chair when Claudia sat down beside her, though she hid her reaction well. A smile tugged at her lips at Claudia's upfront no-nonsense greeting. Of allt he people Nix could have run into, she was glad it was Claudia...She wouldn't press Nix for information...Though she did miss those in Tarus' coven, she'd become friends wiht a lot of them.
Her smile quickly fadeed as Claudia began to fill her in on Jasmine's recent adventures, turning into a scowl. If she had time before she left California, she would have to pay Jazz a little visit.
"That little pup is giong to get herself killed trying to make friends with everyone. She is far too optimistic for her own good. Thanks for watchign out for her...I'm not going to be around all that much anymore..." Phoenix said, finishing her drink in one gulp. After ordering a Purple Passion she turned her attention back to Claudia. "Who was the bastard who attacked Jazz?" Slave to a vampire or not, damn it, she wasn't going to sit around and let some damn vampire attack the pup who Phoenix had taken onto herself to protect...And though she hated having to do this, she would need to ask Claudia for something, and it was a hit on her pride that Claudia had already had to pick up on the job that Phoenix should be taking care of.
"Claudia...I need to ask you a favor, even though I dont' want to...Jazz gets into a lot of trouble with her happy go lucky attitude. She's yet to realize that not everyone in the world is nice, that some really are truely evil, both inside and outside. She'll need someone to watch after her and given certain...curcumstances...I won't be able to watch after her like I used to...Could you do that for me? You're the only one who I could really trust to be able to keep up with the little runt...Plus, your the only one who I have talked to lately...I can't exactly walk up to Tarus' old coven and ask them for a favor...If any of them saw me, it might not be good...They might try to talk me out of something...And there would definately be a major interrogation...I imagine that most of them are pretty pissed at me right now, though...So would you do that for me? Please, Claudia...I don't want to bother you with it, but someone has to do it."

Under the millions upon millions of lights, a small figure stood on the sidewalk, holding out a slim black cellphone. Angling it upwards, she captured all the lights swirling above, making the night look very much like day. After awhile she flipped through the shots, selecting the best ones. "Beautifully grating and bright California." She texted and pressed enter. Ema was here to take a break for the old world. Even loud noises could be therapeutic once in awhile. She huffed proudly at mastering her new cell phone. (The last one gave out it's final breath in the form of a small fire after being charged... while it was still wet from coming out of the laundry.)
The girl ran a hand through her black hair, scanning shops along the street. She was in the mood for a nice drink, but those didn't come by all that easily anymore. In about a century and a half's time, the world's finer things had being inexpressibly cheap in standards. Before it took her about five minutes to saw through a chair. Now that they were made up by smashed together wood chips, she could hack it all away in seconds. Suddenly her phone rang, playing an annoyingly loud ringtone. "The Ass has texted you." She grinned, of course that wasn't his real name, but close enough.
"I'm surprised you could cope with children's toys so easily. And thank you for sending those migraine inducing pictures."
Ema quickly replied with a creative insult, her irritated look a carefully disguised smile. Possibly she was born to live in such an era. She was never able to cope with her own. The world, even much more cheap, was much more free. The girl slid the cellphone into the pocket of her jeans just as soon as someone ran into her. She winced, realizing she had bit her lip in the impact. The bulldozer of a person ran on with a hurried apology.
She carefully licked the blood off of her lip. Strange. She wanted a drink, but what sort of drink now? Her black eyes scanned the surrounding area. A bar attracted her, being that it would be able to supply both drinks. Drunkards were much more easy to take over. Ema walked quickly and quietly over to the bar, pulled open the door and stepped inside.
