Amarant ran through the woods in her wolf form, Saphire--her white wolf that she'd raised since Saphire was a pup--trotted along beside her. Amarant stopped, her tail wagging excitedly. She nipped playfully at the smaller wolf's heels, and they wrestled around for a bit. When the younger wolf submitted, Amarant jumped off of her, shifting back into her human form. She reached down and patted the young wolf's head.
She leaned up against a tree, sighing slightly, her long black hair falling over her face. That was one hell of a run, they'd been at it for almost two hours, but it was exhilirating...Amarant knew she'd never grow tired of it... Running was her life; it meant she was free.
Amarant looked around the woods surrounding her. She was sitting in a clearing, the young wolf's head on her lap, nearly sleeping. Amarant had recently come to London, a place where she hadn't visited in a long time...Not since Rafael--her adopted father (and vampire) had died. She hadn't wanted to come back here. But she'd finally worked up the nerve to do it, especially since she missed some of her friends here. She would have to make a point to go see them before she left again.
Amarant was never content to stay in one place for too long, but London felt so much like home to her... She sighed, shaking her head. This was far too much to be thinking about right now... She wasn't even sure she could stay here for an extended length of time without having a nervous breakdown with trying to stay away from the house that Rafael had raised her in.

Jennifer ran.
No, this can't be called 'running', she thought to herself. Her feet where slapping the pavement hard, toes digging into the grass as she veered off the path, opting for a short cut. Legs pumping hard, her bag flinging wildly from side to side, Jennifer was not merely running. She was tearing across the floor, so fast she was scarcely aware that she was even touching the ground.
"This... this is... madness...!" she gasped out, veering through the trees as fast as she could. How on earth had John expected her to make it back to the hotel in time? Calling down curses on him from any god who would listen, Jennifer ran through the trees as fast as she could. Suddenly, a huge root appeared directly in her path, materializing into a reclining body at the last moment. There was no avoiding it.
Jennifer had been going too fast, there was too much momentum, and her feet caught against the person's knees. She flew headlong through the air, slamming into the ground and tumbling through the dirt to land in a heap. Staring up at the night sky, Jennifer blinked. Her chest was heaving, gasping for deep gulps of air. Gradually, her panting subsided, but Jennifer lay still. Closing her eyes, she smiled for no apparent reason, her hand coming up to rest against her forehead. It started as a slight shivering, a chuckle in her chest. It tickled up through her throat until the laugh finally tumbling out into the night air.
I guess I missed the flight, she thought ruefully.

"C'mere you," said Jean quietly. The rabbit she was watching lumbered away unawares, unknowing of Jean's potential threat as she stalked the furry creature. Rabbits were her favorite, considering the fact that she'd walked the same streets for almost eighty-seven years. Time seemed to stretch along until something exciting happened, in her opinion.
Now the rabbit's ears pricked upward, its bulging almond eyes alert and focused. Jean thought she noticed something also, but ignored the presence as her night-black bangs swept into her eyes. "Grahhh..." she sighed exasperately when the rabbit took off into the trees. "Damn." There went a good meal. "Let's see, it's still the evening, so I can afford to run around a bit more."
Jean grinned as she crouched down into runner's position, the playfulness of a seventeen-year-old brightened her eyes. The anticipation and adrenaline [Spelling?] mixed together to form the hunter-esque feeling that Jean adored.
And she ran.

Mahiro had just checked out the hotel and was looking for a place to stay. The roof of her hotel room had collasped on top of her last night, so she decided it would be far safrer to go somewhere else. She pulled a bottle out inside a large rucksack that was on her back, and took an enormous swig. "You can't beat Chocoro." She smiled. She stuffed the bottle into her bag and walked onwards. soon she saw a pair of wolves running in front of her. Then she realised that the larger one was Amarant, the wolf who had saved her from Him and the fire a few nights ago. "Hey Amarant." She called. "Amarant come here, It's Mahiro!!" She sat down on the wet grass, and waited for Amarant to come over. She might be running tonight, but Mahiro was'nt going to. She lay back and looked up at all the twinkling stars, And envied them.

The sounds of the night echoed in between Xavier's ears as the still darkness stretched throughout the forest. The scent of human blood was filling his nostrils with every sniff taken. Xavier's dead blue eyes stayed locked onto the forest as his vision began to sharpen. His swift movements, aided with the camouflage of his black attire would allow him to take his victim swiftly and quietly. It seemed as if the forest was unusually still, Animal life seemed to be in decline at this hour strangely.
The first thought to Xavier's head was behemoth. It is what the Black Nail Coven called 'Werewolves'. The drooling, mindless monsters were always below the Black Nail Covens lowest expectations. Werewolves were the least on his mind right now, Xavier always had the mindset: "I don't care for them, They don't care for me." and it got him far. The taste for blood was now overwhelming. The burning in his jaws would agonize him for some time however he knew he was nearing his prey and he would not settle for any mammal, Human blood had a special taste in his mouth. He was almost there...
At this point in time, ill settle for whatever i see. Healthy or Unhealthy, this human is sadly going to be taken tonight, let god embrace the soul...

Amarant tilted her head to one side, scenting the air as it blew towards her, and then she heard her name being yelled. She quickly looked towards the voice and smiled, getting up and quickly running towards the young girl.
"Hey Mahiro, how've you been hon?" She said, sitting beside the girl and ruffling her hair slightly. Since she'd saved her from Shaden a couple nights ago, Amarant had been keeping a close watch on her, though she didn't know if Mahiro was aware of that or not.
Saphire came bounding towards them, tounge lagging. Amarant laughed as the young white wolf sniffed at Mahiro's left hand. "I don't think that you got to meet Saphire last time." Amarant said, nodding towards the smaller wolf.

Mahiro tilted her head and smiled. She had only met Amarnt once before, but she already considered her a true friend. "I've been great. The roof of my hotel room fell in, so I've been looking for a new one, but they're all expensive or skanky." She paused "Mostly both" She crouched down and ruffled the fur of the white wolf. "She's a beauty" Mahiro said, gazing into Saphire's eyes. She was a gorgeous wolf. Mahiro could'nt remember what she looked like in wolf form. Not that it mattered much. Mahiro then flicked a strand of her own hair behind her ear. After doing that, a wasp flew down, and stung it. "Ow!! Ow, ow, ow ,ow, ow!!" She screamed. "Flipping wasps" Soon she calmed down and swatted the wasp dead with her bottle. It was now covered in wasp smaer. "Yuck" She looked up at Amarant. "Do you have any water?" She asked, "So I can wash this bug off." She waited for a reply, and ran her hands through her hair.
