Selene soared through the air, the wind blowing through her fur. She smiled as she landed on the ground and did one hard jump, sending her flying many more feet. She skidded to a stop next to a river and lapped up some water and than jumped in. She liked the feel of the cool water on her fur. She jumped out and shook her fur, as she stood up, she turned into her human form. She shook out her black hair and let it land as curls on her shoulders. She really didn't have anything to do tonight, so she thought she would go for a hunt, which hadn't gone so well.
Selene ripped off the bottom of her dress and wrapped it around her arm. Damn foxes She cursed under her breathe. She had tried to jump on it when it bit her hard. She had shook it off after 5 minutes and ran away. Selene walked through the forest. Letting the warm summer air dry here. She like the air but she would do anything to be in someones arms right now.

Blue eyes narrowed, sharp eyes gazing into the distance. Calculating... Watching... And when he was ready, he struck.
"FOUR!" *thwack*
The tin can went flying from its perch into the thicket, joining its fellow metal brethren somewhere in the underbrush. A few birds and small woodland creatures were of course disturbed and fled from the scene before anything else fell from the sky... Which came not long after the previous one.
"FOUR!" *thwack*
Atop the hood of his cab, Caleb gave a displeased grunt when the second shot fell just a bit short of the one before, swinging his golf club in one hand as he flicked cigarette ash with the other. A pile of cans and assorted small-sized knick-knacks were carefully balanced to one side, while the wolf picked another bit of junk to use as an impromptu golf ball. See? He could recycle when he wanted to.
Adjusting his stance, wiggling his hips a bit he gently tapped the half crushed can before the pull back... "FOUR!" *thwack* And swung hard, grinning around his nicotine stick as it landed just beyond the edge of where the trees began to grow thick. But it was then something else entered his line of sight... No, not something. Someone.
Taking another long drag from his cigarette, Caleb sniffed the air and leaned against the club lazily. He could tell by just sight and scent alone that the being in the distance was not only female, but a female wolf.
And ain't it funny how I always run into em in the woods? He thought with a smirk, thinking that maybe he should be more a nature boy if this was where all the pretties hung out.
"Out for a stroll there missy?"

Selene continued walking when she heard someone shooting four! She looked around and saw cans flying. She walked closer and saw/scented a male. A male wolf, to be correct. She smiled and walked up to him. "Yep. Nice half moon. Who wouldn't?"

The cigarette ember gave his face a bit of a glow as he continued to watch the approaching she-wolf with a cocked head. She wasn't familiar to him and definitely wasn't from the pack. But who could be bothered with familiarity when it was a good-looking so-and-so? Beautiful strangers all over the place.
"Yep. Nice half moon. Who wouldn't?"
"Ah dunno," he shrugged and idly scratched his chest, "People afraid of the dark, or maybe paranoid things who know they shouldn't be outta bed..."
Using the old golf club like a gentleman's walking stick, he placed it in front of him with his feet apart, left hand over the right in a mockery of polished debonairness. Trademark grin in place he jerked his head towards her by way of greeting, dropping a jean clad hip and basically just showing off because he thought it'd be good for a laugh. Caleb was too lazy to put in any actual effort in making himself look good.
Smoke from the nose like a smug dracling and he chuckled softly, " Not one for all that romantic mish-mosh y'know?"

Selene nodded when he said people who were afraid of the dark. "No one wants to cross our path." She laughed as he tried to show off to her in a lazy way. "I can see that." She laughed again and smiled. She walked up to him and leaned against the cab. "Nice ride." She smiled up at him.

"No one wants to cross our path."
Tip of the head and he rolled his eyes as if in deep thought, tapping his chin and swinging the club up to tap against shoulder while he rocked on his feet. "Nah, wouldn't say that now, besides... We're crossin paths now ain't we?" He winked and flopped down to sit on the hood of the car, legs dangling over the side as she neared him and Bessie.
"Nice ride."
"So they tell me." He grinned and tipped an imaginary hat. "She's all a man could ask for really, strong, sturdy and feisty.... Still purrs like a kitten too."
Caleb was usually wary of most who were not within the influence of the pack, it was quite hard to tell between friend or foe during these turbulent times. But she didn't seem more than a harmless bit of skirt with a wolf underneath, so he let his guard down a little. No need to be unneighborly-like after all.

Selene laughed and smiled at Caleb. "Yes, we have. Maybe I need to bite you now. Thats what I do when people cross my paths." Selene snaps her teeth. She jumps on the hood and sits next to Caleb. She runs her hand down the car. "A kitten, eh? You might need to take me for a ride." She stared up into the sky. She could sense that Caleb was still holding his guard agaisnt her. She sighed and laid down, crossing her arms cross her chest.

Golf club twirling idly in his hand like a baton as he watched her from his perch, grinning as she fed him back his lines with a smile and flutter of long lashes.
"Yes, we have. Maybe I need to bite you now. Thats what I do when people cross my paths."
The snap of pearly whites got him tossing back his head with a laugh, shaking his head and wagging a raised brow in her direction. "Oh yeah? Well I ain't no people, as you might have guessed." Cue in wide grin and flash of a canine. "So howsabout we skip the biting business aye? Been bitten once, so I'm kinda shy."
It was his turn to bat his eyes and smile sweetly, big blues sparkling to their best advantage. His lower lip pushed out slightly in a semi pout that wasn't overly ridiculous looking on a man... The same face he used when the Sisters of St Francis questioned him about the spit balls found in the confessional. All in good fun really, and so far they seemed to work. Sort of.
"A kitten, eh? You might need to take me for a ride."
"We'll see, Bessie can be quite the jealous bird, y'know possessive like." Caleb was a little surprised when he turned to find her right next to him, but not too fazed as he shifted a little to give her more room to lie down. Nice that she could get comfortable, the wolf merely grinned and set the gold club aside, tilting his down at her.
"So, Miss People Biter, y'got a name or do I just come up with one for ya? And mind ya, don't trust me t'come up with anything fancy."

Selene giggled and smiled. "What big teeth you have. No more biting for me." She sat up and rested her head on her hand, elbow on the car. He really was gorgeous. She giggled again when he batted his eyes. What a charmer
"Tell Ol' Bessie, I just want a ride that's all." Selene winked at Caleb and smiled. He really was something. Not like an man...or wolf she met before. "My name is Selene." She put her hand out to him. "And yours?"

He nodded and shrugged his shoulders casually. "We'll see aye?"
She seemed to like him well enough. Not that Caleb minded the back and forth banter of flirtation. It could be fun, and it helped him work on his so-called social skills. Something that tended to be absent during peak hours on the roads. Then it was every road monster for himself.
"My name is Selene. And yours?"
"Well, I've been named many things before but..." Her hand was taken in his and held, not really a shake but callused fingers curled over hers and squeezed gently in greeting. "Y'can call me Caleb."
A quick wink and he releases her hand to search through his shirt pocket for his last cigarette, popping it into his mouth and lighting it up with his trusty lighter. Inhaling deeply he blows out a slow stream of smoke and smiles at his female companion through the fog.
"No pack to get home to? It's pretty late for a chit like yourself to be out by yourself innit?"
