It was really cold tonight, and a harsh frost bit Mahiro's lips. She raced inwards, running away from the fight she had cuased in the pub. She did'nt mean to cause it, and she could tell that he had been there. He always made it worse. Mahiro closed her eyes and stopped thinking. She opened her eyes and gazed around, before realising that she did'nt have a clue where she was. It was all trees, and a path of rock and mud was visible in the distance. The moon was bright, but not quite full thankfully. She took in a deep breath of the night air and reached into a battered rucksack on her back. She pulled out two bottles, but the second was an odd colour, and had a piece of string dipped in it, that stuck out a hole in the lid. She took a swig from the first bottle and put it back in her bag. "I'm relying on you smacker." she said smiling. The second bottle was in fact a smacker, a home made makeshift bomb, a bottle filled with a mixture of c-4, nitro, methane, and gunpowder dissloved in ethanol. She looked around to check if anyone was there, and for now there was'nt. She lay on the floor, smacker by her side, and began to drift into sleep, hoping that he would'nt show up.

Amarant had been running through the woods in her wolf form, all her senses on a high... She loved running...loved everything about it. She felt kind of bad that Saphire wasn't with her, but Amarant had to get out on her own. Her little wolf tag along was about to drive her crazy. Something wasn't quite right tonight, and she could feel it...But Amarant wasn't going to go looking for trouble. She was far too exhilerated at this moment.
She smelled a fire not far off, but she ignored it. She didn't want to get involved...She'd been in too many fights lately, and she didn't want to be in another one just yet. If she knew that someone was going to get hurt, she didn't think that she could actually force herself away from it, but she hoped that she wouldn't have to make that choice.

Mahiro was awoken by a rustling in the trees. She was'nt alone. She did'nt know who was there, or why, But she had better be careful. It could be him. Mahiro sat up, and wondered what she should do. "Who's there?" she called out. No reply came. The woods were echoing her vioce, and it came bouncing back in all sorts of creepy distortions. She huddled close, and wondered to herself why she was so scared. The forests around here did'nt normally scare her, but they did tonight. Even an innocent little squirrel hopping past was enough to make Mahiro jump out of her wits. She sat still, and hoped that whatever it was would go away soon, and leave her be.

Of course Shaden had been in the pub when Mahiro was there, he's smelled her at once, and when she left Shaden had followed silently after her. He found it interesting when she led him to the forest. It seemed too perfect. Such an easy place to talk without being seen and a great place to fight without being bothered. Or at least thats what he thought as he was watching her lay there on the floor until he caught another scent in the area. At first he thought it was a vampire but then he realized with a start it was another werewolf, and one he just so happen new. Shaden almost groaned out loud but stopped himself. He as hidden behind a tree so when Mahiro suddenly sat up, she couldn't see him. He found himself very amused by the way she seemed to be kind of scared.
With a devilish smile on his lips he stepped out from behind the tree "Hello there, sweetheart, Its been awhile." He didn't move toward her just yet. Instead he waited. Waited for the perfect time to make his move.

Mahiro gasped and stepped back. Her eyes froze in fear, and her lips quivered. How could she have not known He was there. She stepped backwards, and tripped over her smacker. "Stay Back." She screamed childishly. "Stay..St..st..stay back." she stuttered. She reached down slowly without taking her eyes off him and picked the discarded smacker off the floor. He knew what it was by know. He'd seen them enough times. Mahiro hoped holding it up would be enough, but deep down she knew it would'nt. "I'll light it Shaden, I will. I really will." she quivered. She slowly edged backwards into the the shadows of the trees, and hoped he would'nt follow.

Amarant couldn't help it. Yes, curiosity did indeed kill the cat, and she may be a werewolf, but curiosity had gotten her in a lot of trouble before... And was probably going to do so again, but she couldnt help it. She had to go find out what was going on....Plus she caught one scent on the wind that she knew: Shaden. What the hell is he doing out here? She veered around, heading that way...There was also another scent mixed with his, so they were close...Another werewolf.
Damn. If I have to break up a fight, then all hell is going to break loose. I really, REALLY, don't feel like fighting Shaden tonight.... And she knew that she would side with the wolf... She may have been raised by vampires, and have more vampire friends than werewolf.... But her instincts would dictate that she help the other wolf.
She almost ran into the other wolf, she hadn't been paying attention. Though the girl was in her human form, Amarant knew that it was a werewolf like her. Amarant noticed that she was holding something in her hands, and the girl looked frightened. Amarant quickly shifted into her human form, clothes slightly torn from the transformation, but she wasn't worried about a little bit of skin showing.
"I won't hurt you, girl." Amarant said, smiling slightly in an attempt to calm the girl. Shaden's scent was close by, and Amarant knew that the girl couldn't pinpoint the exact area, but Amarant was older....More skilled. She knew precicely where he was, and she let him know it too. She looked dead at him, raising one pierced eyebrow at him for just a moment before averting her eyes. Her eye contact with where he stood was for only a second, not long enough for the young wolf to notice it. Amarant didn't want that girl to throw whatever the thing in her hand was at him, giving Shaden a reason to attack her. If she could diffuse this situation, she would.
Though Amarant tried to look calm and relaxed, her body shifted of its own accord so that she would be placed directly infront of the girl, protecting the younger ones body with her own.
"What's your name, kid?"

Shaden didn't move nor did he show any signs of fear or worry when Mahiro picked up her little smacker. He watched as a hunter watches its prey, his body was tense for when or if she really did light it. "Now, now, sweetheart, I just came to see how you were. Theres really no need for that." He took a small step closer after Amarant showed up and looked at him, "I believe you, lovely, really I know you'll light it, but... why would you want to do something like that Mahiro?" He said mockingly, taking another step toward her. "Why can't we just talk, I've missed you." He said making his voice like silk. He stood only a few feet from her, he crossed his arms over his chest. This was more fun then he thought it would be; playing around with her. Shaden sighed softly, breathing deeply, taking in more of her scent.
Then he looked over at Amarant, "What are you doing here?" He asked her, his voice low. This was getting old; every time he was about to have some real fun, someone showed up but she wouldn't stop him. He would let anything ruin this.

Mahiro walked backwards into the other wolf. She looked up at them, and decided that she only had one option. The wolf was probably trieng to help, but maybe she did'nt know how strong Shaden was these days. He had been getting stronger and stronger ever since Padua died. She shut her eyes, and reached into the pocket of her denim skirt. She pulled out a red and blue lighter. Padua's lighter. She lit the smacker. She watched the wick fizzle down and waited for the bang. It would come any second now...

Shaden's blue eyes turned a black as she lit the smacker, "You stupid little-" He didn't finish his sentience as he quickly moves to her, using his inhuman speed, he grabbed it and threw it up in the air, although he burned his hand slightly. And hardly even a second after it was thrown up, it exploded with a loud 'bang' and fire seemed to be everywhere. He felt the heat on his face, and then he black coat was on fire and he struggled to get out of it. Oh she would pay for this. That is course if she lived through this. Mahiro would pay and that was a promise. Who the hell did she think she was? She can't beat him. Shaden hadn't find one person yet who could, let alone her! This was insane.
Not caring about Mahiro or Amarant at this point, he ran out of the fir, getting far enough away where he was safe but could watch and see what became of the other two. His whole body felt like it was on fire, it hurt. It hurt worse then anything he had felt for a very long time.

The trees were aflame. Their once lushious green branches danced with a new energy and the fire spread from leaf to leaf, branch to branch until the sky seemed ablaze. Mahiro looked up at it. The sky had caught fire. The flaming braches fell down and crashed to the floor. The dry grass caught fire, and the orange whirl of flame spread faster than anybody could run. They were everywhere. Never had one of Mahiro's fires got so big, so out of control. She only hoped that Shaden would be engulfed by it before her. The orange dancing flames created patterns in her eyes. She could'nt move. Her breathing was haevy, and she could only stare at the hungry orange tongues of fire that were moving towards her. A branch crashed down, and then another. Suddenly the orange faded, and everything became black and still.

Amarant watched as Shaden stepped out of his hiding spot. She'd met him once before, when she was in a very bad mood, and didn't really give two cents about anyone or anything. That's not how she usually was, and he would find that out now. Not that she gave a damn what he thought, or anyone else for that matter. He just happened to meet her when she was in one of her more....unreserved moods.
She looked back at the younger wolf and snarled when she saw her light the smacker, and after Shaden had picked it up and threw it, Amarant was on her feet, she grabbed the girl by her arm and ran with her, practically carrying the other wolf. Amarant didn't know if the other girl could smell the vampire scent on her or not, from where she grew up with them, but now wasn't the time to worry about that.
Once Amarant had ran a few yards, making sure that the flames wouldn't fall on their heads, she stopped, letting go of the girls arm. Her eyes scanned the area around her, looking for Shaden. She decided to rely on her other scenses to find out when he was heading their way. She looked at the younger wolf, shakiong her head slighlty, her silky black hair falling into her green eyes, which changed colors, depending on what type of mood she was in.
"You didn't answer my question earlier. I'm not here to hurt you, so don't be afraid, little one. What's your name?"

Mahiro's eyes flickered open. It took them a while to get used to the surrondings, but they were still in the woods. She saw the wolf above her, and realised she must have knocked herself out in the blaze. "Mahiro." she whispered. She was suprised by how hoarse she sounded. Maybe fire and heat did these things to you. Her eyes flickered again, but Mahiro was determined not to faint again. She sat up, and leaned on her right arm. It was a bot burnt, as was her skirt but nothing serious. The wolf did'nt seem that harmed herself either. "Did you just save me?" Mahiro choked. It was hard to imagine being rescued, Mahiro normally did rescuing, and before Padua died, she had helped her older sister out of a few scrapes... Mahiro suddebly realised how thristy she was. It must be one of those after-effects of the flames. She had played with fire before, but normally she had a bottle of beer or something to keep her going. Any possesions she had back then, except the lighter, were gone. She felt so glad that she had left her guitar back at the hotel. She felt a lumo grow in her thraot. She really needed a drink. Introductions could wait. "Do you have any water? If not, do you know a good pub round here?"

Shaden, even through he was slightly in pain still, knew that both of them had lived. He would know if Mahiro died. With a loud, heavy sigh, he ran around the fire, staying far away from it. After only a few minutes, he saw them both. So Amarant must have saved her. He would deal with her later. Right now, however, he was going to deal with Mahiro. So he walked toward them, slowly, with his back straight and his eyes still black, showing the rage that he was trying to hold back. He snapped at Amarant with a slight growl, "Get away from her." He said his voice low again. She wouldn't get in the way, not if he could help it.
Shaden was holding his right arm, which was burned and hurt the most right now. Though he didn't show the pain in his emotions. Not to them. He was standing close to them, looking down at Mahiro, smiling slightly.
He leaned down and ran a hand through her hair, "That was very stupid, Mahiro, you of all people should know better." He said softly.

Mahiro pretended to not have heard Shaden's remark. She did'nt want to be scared of him. She needed to stand up to him. But she could'nt. Every time there yes met, she lost all courage she had. He could do what he wanted. She would be powerless to stop him. Mahiro shuddered. She hoped that the other wolf would think of something. And fast. Mahiro's time would run out soon, or her time of the life she loved at least. Her globetrotting, beer making, fire starting habits would have to go. She did'nt know what He would do. He might kill her. He might hurt her, physically, mentally or both. He might use her. He might do anything. She could'nt read minds, And even if she could, she would be too scared to read his right now. She had one idea, pretending he was someone else. It had to work... "Sir I don't think we've met. Do you know a good pub round here?" While she waited for a puzzled look she continued, "Your arm looks bad. There's a good hospital where I came from, not too far north. Lot's of sunlight in there." She crossed her fingers and hoped the wolf she did'nt know the name of would rescue her again.

Amarant laughed slightly, pulling out a bottle of water that she usually kept in her pocket. She often got thirsty, and would need something to drink, so she made sure that she always had something on her. She nodded once at her, hanging Marhiro the half full bottle of water. "It may not be cold, but it'll help. Have the rest, I don't need it."
Amarant looked to Shaden, her eyes flashing to grey, showing that she wasn't in the mood to take orders from anyone right now, and that she sure in the hell had no intention of listening to him. "You might as well give it up, Shaden, you're not getting the girl. I don't care what grudge you have against her, I was raised by vampires, leech, and I know how to fight you. I've done it before and won, don't get so over confident to think that I'm an easy fight."
When he reached down and touched Mahiro, Amarant grabbed his wrist, twisting it painfully, throwing his hand back, bracing herself for his return attack. She knew how vampires worked. They were easy to anger, and once they got angry, they fought through instinct, not using their head. Alwasy the same, never failed.
"I said you won't touch her." Amarant growled, and the wolf in her could be seen through her now grey, stormy eyes, waiting to push through the thin barrier that Amarant kept up between the two of them. "I've been a werewolf all my life, I'm far from being new to my abilities, and I have developed more than any you've fought, believe me."
