Tarus looked at her curiously, she had just met him, what kind of favor could he possibly do for her? "I never promise to do a favor unless I know what it is first...could get a guy into a lot of trouble...so you tell me what it is you need, and I'll see if I can oblige you." He smiled politely as he said this. Of course he felt sort of guilty for not jsut saying yes, she had after all taken the news quite calmly, and not immediatley mauling him to death. He knew the danger of the situation wasn't to be lost on her - she seemed much to intelligent to miss something like that....

Annie paused. "Well, actually, I need you to keep a secret for me. If you tell Nix, I will be so dead. Seriously." She looked down and took a deep breath. "I...I'm in love with a....vampire." She looked up at him to see his reaction.

Tarus looked at her - she sounded so apologetic, guilty even, admitting that. It unnerved him - why was society so determined to make all vampires out to be blood lusters, or all werewolves just a pack of mindless dogs for that matter? Underneath all the inhumanity of their respective races - they were all still originally human. "Ah." he said, "Gotcha. As long as you don't tell her I spilled our little secret to you. Then we have a deal. But..." he paused, unsure of how to say what he was thinking, "don't sound so guilty, admitting you are in love with a vampire. There are good ones out there - and there is more to most of us than our thirst." he paused again and then said, "Not all of us are killers, Annie. And, I want you to know....just in case you are wondering....I love your sister more than life - I would kill myself before I ever even THOUGHT about hurting her. She is safe with me. But you...you be careful about who you trust."

Annie nodded. "I know they aren't all bad. You and Gage are so wonderful." She sighed softly. "I hate having to keep us a secret. But I don't want him or me to get hurt because of this damn war thats been going on for god knows how long." She nodded at him. "I'll keep the secret, I promise. I trust Gage and you. But no other vampires." She gave him a friendly smile. "I won't let any vampire control me. I promise."
