Annie skipped through the park. Ya, she was 21, who cares? She can skip whenever and whereever she pleased AND she was a werewolf, so if they mess with her, they die. She stopped by a food cart and got some cotton candy. She loved feeling like a little kid again.
She nibbled on her cotton candy as she looked at all the rides. She never was one for heights. She nibbled more on her candy and watched couples. She sighed. Where's my prince charming? She sat on a bench, eating her cotton candy.

Tarus loved amusement parks at night. The lights and the smell of popcorn and cotton candy made him feel like a kid again. He'd come here just to people watch and get some cotton candy. Maybe he'd go play one of those games and win Phoenix a stuffed animal or something. He wasn't really watching where he was going, so wrapped up in the smells and sounds and watching the people on the rides, laughing their heads off.
He accidentally bumped into someone,
"Oh! sorry!" he exclaimed, reaching a hand out to steady the girl. "Wait...you look familiar." He said, catching her scent - smelled familiar too. She was a werewolf...

Annie looked up at the man. "Um, no I don't think so." She let go of the man's hand and than smelt her...Phoniex. She growled at him. "What did you do to my sister?" Her eyes grew yellow. If she had to, she would change in front of all these people.

Tarus snarled back in defense, "Your sister? I don't know..." then it hit him...Phoenix, he smelled like Phoenix - and she was a werewolf. "Annie, right?" he asked, uncurling his lip. "I didn't do aything to her, I'm actually kind of wondering where she is." despite the fact that he was being honest, he stepped back from her, she might not believe him, and if so, distance wouldn't be a bad thing...

Annie stood up. Why would a vampire be look for her sister and how did he know her name? "Yes...my name is Annie." She stepped back when the man did. "How do you know my sister?" She growled again. She couldnt stand his smell. The only reason he could some what stand him was the scent of her sister and she had to see whats up.

Oops, he thought, she doesn't know.. Well great, now Phoenix would have his head....for real, she was going to be beyond angry....he scratched his head, trying to figure the best way out of this. "I, uh, I really don't know how to answer that. Maybe you should ask her. Name's Tarus," he offered trying to be pleasant, to show her he was NOT a threat to her. God, if she decided to attack him, he'd have to let her. He couldn't fight Phoenix's sister. This really was not a good situation.

Annie sighed and gave up, shaking the guys hand. "I'm Annie, but you already knew that." She sat down on the bench and patted next to her. "Sorry, I got so angry" She picked off a piece of cotton candy and ate it. "I'm just really protective over Nix. She is all I got." She sighed and ate more cotton candy.

He knew how she felt. Nix was all he had too, and he would give his life to protect her...and her sister. But of course Annie didn't know that. "Sorry I bumped into you, didn't hurt you did I?" he asked. He wondered where Phoenix was, and if she knew where her sister was. It didn't seem quite safe for Annie to be here alone.

"No, I'm fine. I'm made out of steel." She showed him her non-existent arm muscle. She laughed. "If you're look for Nix, she isn't here. Just left. Some pack buisness." She shrugged. All she knew was her sister was in back. And something about a werewolf and a vampire being in love and engaged or something like that. She finished the last of her cotton candy and threw the stick into the trashcan. "Score!" She turned to look back at Tarus. "Why do you want to know where she is anyways?"

"Why wouldn't I want to know where she is? She IS my girlfriend." he replied before he had time to think about what he was saying. He winced as soon as the words were out of his mouth. Phoenix was forever on him about watching what he said, about letting his mouth get ahead of his brain. Now he'd blown it....she was going to kill him. He'd be in the proverbial doghouse for a week, and considering the other "dogs"in her pack, he was pretty sure the doghouse was a very bad place for a vampire to be.

Annie's mouth fell open. "H-her boyfriend?!" Nix, the girl who hated ALL vampires with an undying passion, was dating a vampire?! She couldn't help but start to laugh. She couldn't believe her sister was in love with a vampire. "Excuse me." She apologized to Tarus, still laughing a bit. "I just can't believe my sister is in a relationship with a vampire." She burst up laughing again. She was sure her ribs were gonna break.

Tarus smiled meekly but didn't offer any more words. Of couse Annie would find it hard to believe. She didn't know him. To her he was just another bloodsucker. But he did feel a twinge of hurt that Phoenix, who was so close to her sister, hadn't shared with her about their relationship. He continued to stare blankly at Annie as she laughed. It really might have been amusing, had he not fully understood what it was he just did and how much danger they were all in.

Annie regand herself and aplogized to Tarus. "I'm sorry. It's just...my sister just doesn't seem the type but than again...we all do have our dirty little secrets." She looked away after she said that. She never told her sister why she was in some guys tuxedo jacket when she got home. She just went to bed. Her sister didn't know that she too was interested in a vampire.

Tarus smiled at Annie - she wasn't attacking him, that was good. Despite her incredulousness, she seemed like she was taking the news well....He just hoped Phoenix didn't kill him for this. "There's just one thing, Annie. Our relationship...well, its suppossed to be a secret. I wasn't really suppossed to tell you..." he trailed off again. Hoping she'd understand. She wouldn't really betray her sister, would she?

Annie put her hand over her heart. "It will be our little secret. I would never betray my sister. Never ever. Shes all I got." She hoped she would have someone else soon. "Um, can you do me a favor?" He was a vampire maybe he knew Gage. Hopefully..
