Ashley walked briskly down the steps of the New York subway, slowly the sun dissapeared replaced by flouresent lighting and dingy white walls. She pulled her metro card out of her purse, and passed through the bars adn walked quiclky to the left to catch her subway. Her high heels clicked on the floor, broke band players held their guitar cases open for money while they played. She tossed in a 5 dollar bill, smiled and kept walking.
Soon she came to the rush of the subway, the dark tunnel empty, she waited as the others did along side the tracks. Then a sight caught her eye, there was some one in the middle of the tracks, she ran out to save the stranger sitting by the side holding out her hand. But hte person did not respond, soon she could hear the subway, the lights were upon her, it was coming fast. She quickly jumped back. The wind tossing her light brown hair as she sat on the dirty floor.
She sat in shock until the subway left, and on the ground there was nothing. Then she heard a laughing behind her, looked back and saw nothing.

Emberr stared as the girl jumped into the middle of the tracks and then jumped away again. Gathering all her courage she walked over to the girl slowly and offered her hand to her with a kind smile on her face.
"What was that about miss?" She asked, out of pure curiousity. "I'm Emberr by the way." As she helped the girl up she moved a bit farther away from the tracks and positioned herself so that her back was facing empty air and people weren't too close to her. In all her years she had only seen one person jump out on the tracks and they had committed suicide, her best friend. Never before though, had she seen someone jump back away. She was hoping it didn't have anything do with chickening out while trying to kill herself. Emberr didn't want to ever see anything like that again.

Ashley couldnt belive her eyes, she could have sworn someone was on the tracks! They were there, they were there and they were gone again, the treain would not have carried them with it? Surly other people would have noticed. It was becoming quite annoying that no one else seemed to care. And one girl just asked if SHE was ok when clearly another person was on the tracks.
"Uhm..." For a moment thats all she could manage. "Uh... my metro card...my metro card! It fell and I was going to retrieve it, you know I still had a week use left on it and I didnt want to waist it." She said smiling hopeing that was enough to reasure the stranger. "Thanks thought, that was kind of you." She said.

Emberr laughed, "Well next time make sure there's nothing speeding towards you." She could tell the girl was lying, but she didn't ask about it anymore, it wasn't her nature. "So uhm, where are you headed tonight?" She asked just so that the girl wouldn't have her attention on whatever really did make her jump.
As another subway raced by the wind it created made the bottom of her dress lift slightly and Emberr held it down embarrassed, it was short enough when it wasn't edging higher. She pushed her hands against the black fabric forcing it down and then played with the edge of the white bow attached to the ribbon going across the middle of her dress. She looked politely back up at the girl, still keeping some distance.

Ashley laughed, this girl had a good sense of humor. "I'll try not ot, if not you're gunna have to warn me. I'm headed to mid town." The subway came tossing her hair, her light shirt swirled about her body and the bell bottoms on her pants furled forward. She couldnt hlep but giggle at how the other girl wsa wearing a skirt, always a bad idea in the subway. But htey wre fun to wear.
The doors opened, people got out and Ashley rushed for her spot, if you didnt get it first you were going ot stand, but she didnt mind surfing the subway as it sped through turns and bumps. So she stood and held onto one of the poles, as it began to take off some fell much like she did her first time, but now she was ableto move her body with the subway, not against it.

Emberr got onto the train with the other girl and smiled. Standing not far from her. "I'm headed for the same place, I live there." She laughed and stood more towards the middle of isle so that she wasn't right up against someone. she hated that, which was why she always stood. And the fact that the humans always stared at her because no bump could throw her off balance.
She loved everything about this city, even the subway. Even if the humans could be bothersome. She felt her stomach growl, but ignored it. This girl wasn't food to her, she couldn't eat anyone she had a real conversation with, there were to few of those.

"Oh yea?" The train was soon in the heart of the black hole, the tunnel making lots of noise but no light. "That must be nice, I live in midtown, not the upper east side! I was just going ot check out the met. It helps me to clear my mind. And central park is right by it. So I decided I would pop by." A sharp turn caused the people in their sets to bump into each other and some nearly fell off balance. Ashley simply leaned with the curve not against it.
There were four more stops before they would hit the area that Ashley needed to get off of, many slept others read, various adds lined the walls of the subway, one man even began sining ot a stereo player.

"Mind if I join you?" Emberr asked, more interested in the human, "I have nothing else planned for tonight. My friends ditched me." She added making herself sound more like the average human. Giggling at the people falling at the bump she mantained prefect balance, not having to sway with it at all.
She had to admit she was impressed by the fact the bump didn't really effect Ashley much, most humans didn't get the concept of going with the flow. Unless it was following the crowd in a new trend, they could do that, but not much else. They weren't in touch with anything around them. And it was always funny when they thought they were in touch with the nature everywhere and really didn't know a thing about it.

Ashley smiled. "Of course! You could get lost in there, its huge! and its beautiful on so many different levels and planes you know?" She asked letting one hand off the pole re positioning her feet to adjust to being one handed a bump made her stumble just a tad. "It lets you mind flourish, and blocks out your body." She said with a thought ful look on her face.
Not veyr many people are that nice ot strangers, but she apprecated her being so nice, the met was kinda an escape but she didnt mind having some fun either. Who knows what might unravel?

[[Sorry for taking so long D= Don't hate me now.]]
"Cool," Emberr said, slowly starting to enjoy the company. "I love this city so much, it's so big and adventerous." Okay, so maybe that was a lie, but this girl wouldn't be able to tell. In truth this place drove her insane half the time. To many people, she was even getting edgy on this subway. So many people were close to her. And when there was a bump they knocked into her. She grimaced as one man hit her hard. He looked her up and down at her did.
"I'm sorry miss," he said, smiling suggestively.
"Oh go shove that apology up your ass." She hissed back at him. He chuckled at her, but as long as he didn't make another move on her she'd let it pass. Stupid males humans thought they could mess with any girl they wanted. Then he hit her on the ass and she turned to him again.
"Excuse me?" She said in a off tone trying to compose herself, don't freak out now Emberr. She turned to the girl looking for backup. Maybe then he would back off without her having to hurt him.
