Phoenix shook Gage's hand, trying her best to be nice. She was determined to have a good time, so that her and Tarus could have a good first date, and nothing was going to ruin her night. Not tonight. "Hi Gage, I'm Phoenix, Annie's older sister. Her very protective older sister." She couldn't help but throw that last part in too. "And this is Tarus, my boyfriend." She said, tightening her hold on Tarus's hand, backing up to give her sister some space.
"How could I not take it well, Annie? I'm dating a vampire for heaven's sake. Now what I would not take well were if you were to be dating a cocky vampire...But this one already has a healthy fear of me, so I don't think we have a problem with that." She looked at the two of them for a moment, thinking one something as she chewed on her bottom lip. Then she smiled at both of them. "If you guys want to, you can join me and Tarus on our date...We were going to this Italian restraunt up the street from here...Would you guys like to come, or get back to your plans?" She asked, throwing out an olive branch to Gage. She really was trying hard, but being around another vampire other than Tarus sent the hackles on the wolf within her raising. At least her sister couldn't say that she wasn't giving an effort to at least get ALONG with the bloodsucker.
She then thought about the fact that she constantly used terms towards vampires that were prejedice...And she was dating one, so it made her feel kind of bad. She wondered if the terms she used towards most vampires ever hurt his feelings? She looked up at him for a moment, deciding that she'd have to watch words like leach, paracite, bloodsucker, and anything of that sort from now on.

Gage smiled at Nix as she shook his cold hand. He smiled at her. He could see that she was at lest trying to me nice to him. At lest she was trying. He still knew that Nix didn’t like all vampires. He nodded at Tarus. He was the one from the ball. So that is why he was trying to save her. He nodded his hello to Tarus.
“Yeah, I think we could accompany you in your date, it could be a double date. I’m not going to eat sense only blood can fill me up, it saves money, so I’ll just watch y’all eat.” He told her and Tarus. He looked at Annie and took her hand. “As long as it is OK with you Annie.” He ask and told her. He wanted to make sure that it was OK with his beloved first.

Annie kept her hand tight around Gage's as him and her sister talked. She let go a little bit when she invited them to go out with her and Tarus. Annie nodded. "That's fine with me." She smiled at Nix. "Never done a double date Nix." She could tell her sister was doing the best to keep the wolf part of her down. She looked into her sisters eyes and thanked her. This meant a lot to her. Gage meant a lot to her.

Tarus could feel the tension in the air, but he was proud of his Nixie for keeping her emotions at bay - even though he could still tell she was uncomfortable with the idea of her sister and a vampire together. Not that he could blame her - most vampires were NOT to be trusted, he knew he himself was quite an anomaly among his kind.
He inhaled slightly when Nix asked them to join, having been wanting a night out with her alone. But, this WAS her sister, and he had known about Gage, and he wanted to please Nix, so if this pleased her then thats what she would get - a double date. And he would be on his BEST behaviour, although if he had to admit it, he was slightly distrusting of Gage, although maybe less so than Nix was. Phoenix knew he hated his "heritage" but he didn't know if she knew how much he disliked others of his kind. How suspicious he was of them. Most of them were never up to any good. He hoped for Gage's sake that he was not one of those types. Otherwise Nix would tear him to shreds.....
Pulling himself out of his thoughts and his silence, he extended a hand to Gage as well, "Nice to meet you." His eyes flickered to annie briefly, trying to urge her with the brief look to stay quiet and not mention the bit about him knowing of Gage prior to this moment. He both loved and feared Nix, well maybe fear was a harsh word, maybe having a "healthy respect" was better....she was tough that one. He chuckled to himself before pulling himself again out of his own mind and into the conversation...
"I agree with Nix." he said, trying to sound upbeat when in truth he did NOT agree - he felt very greedy tonight, wanting her all to himself. He smiled convincingly, "Join us."

Phoenix bit back her comment about blood...Tarus refrained from speaking about that necessity of his existence. She didn't like it, and if she ever saw either of them feeding from a human, they would get one hell of a hello. They had better at least make her believe that they fed from animals...not humans. She smiled at her sister, knowing that it meant a lot to her that Phoenix was trying...She wouldn't ever do anything to upset Annie.
She leaned her head on Tarus's arm, taking in the scent of him and smiling to herself. She knew that he wanted a night on their own...she did too...but she had to meet this guy who her sister was with...And Phoenix was so glad that Tarus would give up their night alone in order to make Phoenix happy. She wouldn't have been able to have fun anyway if she had let her sister go off, she would have been worried that Gage was going to make her into a walking blood bank or something.

Annie looked sympathetically at Tarus. She knew they had interupted their date. She felt horrible. Her sister was finally happy and she had to butt in. She whimpered a small whimper of apology. She had a sudden urge to turn into a wolf and lick both their faces. They were really trying for her and it meant a lot to her more than she could know.
Without really thinking about it, Annie ran and hugged her sister tight. Tears starting running down her face. Tears of joy, of course. "Thank you so much." She whispered in her ear, kissing her cheek. She hugged her sister super close, knowing it wouldn't hurt her. She really didn't know how much this meant to her.
Annie let go of her sister and sprang on Tarus, hugging him tight also, but not as tight as her sister. "Thank you." She whispered in his ear. She let go and went back to Gage. Tears still falling down her cheek and a big old smile on her face.

Phoenix was slightly shocked when Annie suddenly ran up and hugged her, but she smiled and hugged her sister back just as tightly. She knew here sister was grateful, not that she had any reason to be. Phoenix was her sister, she could never condemn her for anything... Even if things hadn't been the way they were with Tarus, Phoenix believed that she still would have found a way to understand her sisters decision...Anything to make her happy.
Phoenix smiled up at Tarus, her moss green eyes joyous, Annie's joy was contagious. She tugged on a piece of her sisters wavy tawny hair gently, rolling her eyes affectionately at her sister after she'd let Tarus go. "No worries Caramel, I've always got your back." She said, using the childhood nickname that she'd given to Annie back when they were young children, because Annie's eyes were the color of caramel candy.

Tarus was surprised at Annie's sudden display of emotion and gratefulness. He hugged her back gently. He knew that Nix wouldn't trust Gage completely, nor would he, but the least they could do was to give hina chance. Tarus especially felt obligated to, Nix had given HIM a chance - now it was his turn to do the same for someone else.
But if Gage ever did ANYTHING to hurt either one of them - Taurs would slowly skin him alive with a parring knife. Then dismember him and feed the pigeouns in central park the remains.
"Well, " he said, twining his fingers through Nixie's, "shal we then? We have reservations and should probably avoid being too late. Its not much farther of a walk."
He inwardly sighed, it wasn't that he didn't enjoy the company - he just missed time alone with Nix, but this was important to her, and whatever made Nix happy made him happy. So he set a smile on his face and resolved to have a good time.

Annie intertwined her fingers with Gage and squeezed his hand softly. Her smile just wouldn't disappear. She did some doubts in the back of her head but she shook them out of her head. She knew his sister would give him a chance and that's all she asked for. "Lets go! Im starving!"

Gage smiled a little bit when Annie hugged her sister with tears running down her face. He felt happy that she had such a loving sister. Gage waited for Annie to come back to him. He took her hand as she took his.
He looked at her then them and nodded telling them that they could trust him. He smiled at her and led the way still holding Annie’s hand. He found the dinner and waited for the others to join him.

Tarus walked up to the hostess standing outside the the restaurant, checking off names on her list. The girl looked up from her book, looked him up and down, and smiled at him, obviously preparing to flirt. She was a pretty blonde, but nothing compared to Phoenix. He pulled her forward to stand beside him, her arm draped through his. He felt alitle proud of his girl, watching the hostess' face fall in obvious disappointment.
"Boudreaux, for two, and our friends here have reservations as well - we'd like to sit together." He said in a firm voice, not asking, telling. After all, he was a prestigous doctor, and this was a very nice restaurant - he had to act the part....sometimes in these places the people could be a little snobby, and they only responded to attitude and money.
"Yes, sir." the hostess, whose nametag read Staci, said as she checked his name off the list, "and your reservation would be under?" she asked Gage over Tarus' shoulder.
