It was dark. Probably midnight. Osir was out walking the streets of his quiet homeland, taking in the scenary from the past and rembering when a church never stood at that very place. "Egypt is never the same." Said Osir with a calm yet dark tone to his voice. He knew that the Egypt that he had once known would never return, and it was like a sudden blast from the past with him--he remembered it differently. "Even the sands of the gods have changed--the beliefs of each will never be the same as before."
But it no longer matters to me any more.--Or does it? Some part of me just wishes everything to be as it once was. But as I have walked through these lands, and the lands over the seas, the only thing that will change is life--the lives of others, to be more exact. Thought Osir, soon smirking as he looked up towards the top of the church. Full of so much emotion, and the ancient Vampire still wanted to laugh. "Heh." Responded Osir as he revealed his sharp white fangs, shimmering in the moon light.
Now it all seemed so clear--and funny too. A church. There was never anything special about such places! Why the heck did he return here? He knew why. Deep down, Osir knew why. But he really did not give a care. Even though he missed his previous life as a mortal, he loved the here and now even more. It was too much fun. As an infant, his parents thought that he would become successful, if he were named after a god--Osiris was whom they based his name on--and they were right all along! Osir indeed was successful, and very wealthy as well. But even so, he wanted more.
Power. Osir was so hungry for more power that he would do anything for it. Killing was now in his blood, as it had been for so many years now--thanks to a certain vampire, Malik--and it did not matter who he hurt or killed to get what he wanted. But where to start? Osir was not sure for the moment, and this information would not be denied to him. Or so he thought. As a cool desert breeze blew, a sound could be heard coming from nearby. Who, or what could it be? "Come on out. I know you're there."Osir said calmly.

Egypt, ah Egypt. It was a place Kier had not spent much time in through his life though it highly intrigued him. He had ventured there from France to glimpse the pyramids once more as they were definitely breathtaking- the sheer mystery behind them captivated him. However, once he had been satisfied gazing at the monuments that loomed eerily over him he ventured away and began exploring what else that foreign land had to offer.
Coming across a church he had perched himself high on the roof, keeping silently to the shadows as he watched someone approach. He was feeling rather mischievous as his emerald green eyes shown down upon the man as he spoke to himself quietly. Oh, how amusing that was to him and a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he laughed softly.
His fingers curled around the ledge as he leaned forward slightly, his blond hair falling over his eyes as he peered down at the man. This creature below him did not seem to have heard him giggling to himself as he was so far wrapped into his own thoughts. That would not do, oh, not at all.
Inhaling deeply as a light breeze blew over him- and regretting it a bit as sand seemed to have blown over him as well- he snatched a pebble up and let the wind carry it close to the person standing below him. That sound had caught his attention he was sure of it.
"Come on out. I know you're there."
Indeed he had heard that noise and his words only indicated that. But, Kier was not so easily going to just come out. Instead he pushed himself back and silently slipped to the other side of the roof out of view if he ever was visible.

Osir looked up quickly, but surely. So, you're on the roof, eh? He thought as he took his focus back to the ground. Slowly, he was getting ticked off and whom ever was up there was toying with him. "Let's not play these silly games, shall we? It gets rather old when you've had to deal with this stuff for so long--or are you afraid? An inferior like the rest, perhaps?" Osir smirked, hoping that he had who ever was on the roof's attention.
Another pest, I am sure of it. But not worth wasting my time on--no need to get angry. The ancient Vampire thought, trying to calm himself as he waited for a response from the one above. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Would what he said before catch the unfarmilar's attention? Or would the scared lamb show some sort of bravery, against the mighty lion? Truely laughable.

Without a sound Kier had crawled down the back of the church and his fingers brushed over his slim jeans to rid his hands of the sand before he touched his velvet coat. The desert was not somewhere he could live for long as the dirt everywhere did bother him as it was on everything, not to mention the awful gusts that came with the wind.
Let's not play these silly games, shall we? It gets rather old when you've had to deal with this stuff for so long--or are you afraid? An inferior like the rest, perhaps?"
Him afraid? Never. This little arrogant vampire seemed to have no fear even when it should have stricken his heart to the very core. Trouble maker was what he was and there seemed to be no bounds to how far he would go at times. And at his words, he laughed again as he strolled around the side of the church and towards the man.
His stride said it all, proud, arrogant, and so sure of himself. That smile on his face was crooked and cocky. He was tall but rather thin especially for his height. "And what is it you classify as an inferior, mon vieil ami?" He asked with his obvious French accent sharp on his soft words.

So sure of himself. Reminds me of someone from way back when. He thought, soon with a sneering smirk on his face. "Only that which stands before me...Of course, I could be wrong...You could be something much lower." Osir responded, grinning wildly. Interesting. So full of pride. But does he know what he's getting himself into? Thought the Vampire, shooting back a glare of cofindence.
Osir did not like this guy, and thought of him as another annoyance. Kier was no different than the rest of those Osir labeled as "inferior" and as such he was just a pest--a small speck of dirt in the sand. The sand. It often was very cold during the night time, and Osir could remember the feeling of it during the daylight hours when he was a young boy. Sometimes he just longed for the old days, even if they were gone away.

Those green irises of Kier's flicked over Osir's form as he walked in a slow circle around him. He did not hide that he was observing him, taking every detail of him and storing it away in his mind. Rather he made it painfully obvious that he was studying him carefully. The vampire was far older than he and he had gathered that instantly but it did not worry him. He was capable of holding his own even if he were so young in comparison.
"Only that which stands before me...Of course, I could be wrong...You could be something much lower."
Kier stopped before him and let his eyes settle on the man's face as he tapped the corner of his mouth in a thoughtful manner with his index finger. This one was quite judgmental but he did approach him in an ungentlemanly fashion. It could be tolerated. "Oh, you have quite the mouth on you!" He was smiling and his actions and words holding an audacity to it that could not be denied.
"I must admit, though. I have not met one so old for a while." He mused as he gave him another quick glance over.

"Just who are you, anyway?" Asked Osir, not very amused by this guy's actions. Pathetic. Why do I even waste my time with such scum? Osir thought keeping his glare on Kier. He was starting to get on his nerves, and Osir did not want to spend his time playing such games with the childish pests of the world.
Osir had reasons for not dealing with those like Kier, even though he was one who liked drama--one of which being that it was a waste of time. A pure waste of time and nothing more than that. And why was he even holding a conversation with this unfarmilar face? Osir did not know, but if the matter came down to a fight, he would not back down.

"Who am I?" He feigned a look of surprise as he pressed the tips of his long fingers to his chest. The black velvet was soft against his hand. He held a style to him in his waistcoat that was reminiscent of his era which was definitely his preference when it came to such things. It seemed he was drawing up amusement from this little exchange however his tone was never anything rude. He spoke in a lighthearted manner and his words were soft even if arrogant.
"My name is Kier D'aubigne." He said after a moment before holding his slender hand out to him. He did not expect this vampire before him to take it as it seemed he had already drawn up some sort of negative conclusion of him through his tone and facial expressions. But he himself held no indication of his feelings towards Osir but curiosity and perhaps a love of irritating him.

There isn't much use of a conflict here--I'll just have to keep my eyes on him. Thought the Vampire, watching as Kier held out his hand--but at least he was decent enough to introduce himself. Osir nodded, but even though he felt a little irritated by the other Vampire, he shook his hand. "I am Osir, Osir Shadii." He said as his response.
The sand was blowing lightly past as the winds began to pick up and call back in its own tone. It was somewhat cold, but not very much so and Osir continued to speak to this new face. "So, what brings you here to Egypt? You don't look like you're from around here." Asked Osir, nearly forcing himself to be nice. Really, he did not care, but it was still a conversation--and he did not feel the need to fight or start problems with the young Vampire at the moment.

"Osir Shadii..." Kier repeated as he gave his hand a quick shake. "Like Osiris?" He asked curiously as he let go of his hand and brushed his fingers through his long blond hair. He was dreadfully curious of the vampire before him as his age far surpassed his own and the things he must have seen! That he could not even imagine. His four centuries of life had brought about a great deal of events, but this Osir was ancient before Kier was ever born.
"So, what brings you here to Egypt? You don't look like you're from around here."
This drew a shrug from the French vampire. The gesture was slight and hardly noticeable. "Egypt fascinates me. The old gods are interesting to me as are the monuments which still stand. They are breathtaking to say the least." He said with a smile as he attempted to ignore the sand blowing past them. "It is very different from France and I have only been here one other time."
His green eyes flicked over Osir's features as he spoke, so obviously still studying him carefully. "You are from here, yes?"

"Yes. Just like the god." He responded, looking at Kier without his usual glare this time. "And yes, this is where I was from." Osir told Kier listening carefully for a moment to the sand in the wind as it blew wildly for a moment. He seems interesting---not many Vampires from France have I talked to in ages. Thought the ancient one, soon speaking up once more.
"But I've only been to France a few times though---many things have changed over the years, yes?" Osir asked wanting to know more for the moment. Truly he did not spend too much time in France, but during those times he was there, it was indeed an interesting place. But even so, Osir still prefered Egypt the most as he had a history here--even though most of his history was now in the past.

Kier flipped the collar up on his coat to keep the sand from pelting his neck where his hair was not covering the skin. It was a highly unpleasant feeling and he did want to keep as much dirt out of his clothing and off his skin as possible.
"But I've only been to France a few times though---many things have changed over the years, yes?"
He nodded in reply. "Oh, yes. Wars have swept through it and as with everything else it has changed with time. It is still beautiful, though. Just as with most of Europe many old buildings still stand." His hand brushed over his jacket in a sad attempt to get the sand off of it. He was obviously not dressed for such a place.
His eyes moved back to Osir and he held back the barrage of questions that still threatened to pour forth from his lips. The wisdom and knowledge the one before him must have held was just pounding upon his already overly curious nature.

Branden was just strolling on through, when he noticed two faces close by. These faces, were indeed different and he was almost sure of them to be vampires. One young, and the other, ancient. But even so, Branden kept his distance for the moment, only lurking near the two in the shadows.
He did not like vampires, but he was sure that they did not approve of him as well. What else was new? And of course he was here in Egypt, so it was a new experience for him as well. Full of changes. Branden just hoped that he was hidden from their view.
Two vampires. What are the odds of that? Shocking. And they aren't even trying to kill each other. Branden thought, keeping a close watch on them and listening in on their conversation. What an interesting night this was shaping up to be!
