LR No, that was never the way it was done. Pride was flaunted and tossed about, but... never this. Leonia moved with dangerous grace. She made no sound stepped lightly, careful to tread on names she disagreed with.
How is it that this world came to be... so utterly void of modesty?
She always did love to rhyme her jests. For jests they were, plain and simple. She cared not for a dying man nor a pitiful woman who might beg for her mercy. She cared for nothing.
Although...
She made particular care to push her heel firmly into one name before moving on, never looking back. In all the years she lived here, she enver once came to this... place.
In all my years and all my days, these things do tend to prosper...
Such was an excuse for whenever she chanced upon something she knew was not there in her time of...
There's that word again. Youth. Such a resemblance I have not craved for for many a while past.
For she was forever young. And she liked it that way, but she did not care for it either way.

Isabella's eyes stared down at the stars under her feet. Her head snapped up to the look at the ones above her head. A slight smile cracked on her face when she thought about having stars above and below her, but her short attention span cut in and she returned her dark gaze to the ground, raven hair falling in front of her eyes.
The toe of her shoe kicked at one of the golden shapes of some random actor. The ideas of riches and fame had never really appealed to the young vampire. Although now, she did have eternal youth, but then again, she didn't care for that either.
No, freedom was what she wanted, but life was good now. Very good, even if she was still in the possession of someone. No, he wasn't mean, even though a bit strange....and sometimes, he was more of a mere acquaintance than an...owner.
But what brought Izzy to California in the first place? Well, just another random journey, of course. What else was there to do with all the time in the world? Nothing much, really. Just live with the stars above her head, was all, seeing as she was banned from the sun forever.

Leonia's hazel gaze fell on the vampire before her. She had an understanding that there were creatures of night around these parts, but this... She had already seen many in her stay here. Her eyes roved around, framed by their dark lashes, looking for a sign of other life. Or rather, non-life. A sigh escaped her lips, as she realised that if they were to perhaps tak, one would eventually have to start. And that one tended to be her lately. She was considering the best opening sentence when words sprung from her without her wanting them to... yet.
Humans are not quite modest, yes?
She frowned at her words, but her features smoothed to their blank calm almsot as isntantly.

(Okies, I'm just guessing, but the words in bold are your charrie talking right? LOL. If not, just correct me.)
Izzy had always been easily fascinated and now she was so putting the names in front of her in alphabetical order. And now, even more as a vampire, she found her mind wondering, but she was suddenly sucked by to the real world by someone's voice.
Humans are not quite modest, yes?
When Izzy head snapped back up, she found herself staring a vampire. Yes, another creature of the night. Her first instinct was to lower herself into a protective stance, but it seemed like the other female was only interested in conversation. She was obviously aware of what Izzy was, because she knew what the other woman was as well.
"Um, no?" she asked, quite uncertain of how to approach Leonia. She squared up her small body and her dark brows knitted together. "But sometimes we aren't either," she said, merely commenting.

(Yeah, it's her talking. Any italics is her thoughts. )Leonia's delicate head tilted one way and then the other, almost scrutinising her. Her eyes narrowed.
Mayhap that is true.
She looked up at a nearby light.
But they attempt to imitate the stars. Such things that I, personally, appreciated those many years ago.
Her eyes were cold as she looked back at the vampire.
I am Leonia. [/size]

(Okies, that's cool. )
Izzy tilted her head upwards in the direction Leonia looked. Wide brown irises locked onto a bug that was flying around the light. Each circle brought it closer until it was finally zapped.
But they attempt to imitate the stars. Such things that I, personally, appreciated those many years ago.
When the teen's eyes fell back on Leonia's face, she was taken aback by the cold gaze, but didn't allow herself to overwhelmed. "I guess this generation of humans isn't very original." Now that she thought about it, she was still apart of the generation, only having been turned just five years ago.
I am Leonia.
Izzy wasn't really sure she should give out her name, since she felt like Leonia might attack any minute. But if she did decide to confront the smaller vampire, she would retaliate without waiting. "Isabella..." she returned.

Leonia's expression didn't change. Yet she moved her ehad slightly in curiosity.
You hesitate. Why is that?
Her eyes cast down almsot instinctively as a small mouse scampered past her dress hem. She ignored it.
Feeding off rodents like a fool, her inner self sneered. It sickens me.

You hesitate. Why is that?
Isabella merely shrugged her tiny shoulders and stared at Leonia impassively through abyss orbs. "I was just judging your motives," she said.
The skittering of feet caught Izzy's attention and she glanced down, tongue flicking over her fangs. It had been a while since she had fed, but she was okay at the moment. Her eyes flashed back up to Leonia and a smile flickering to life on her cold, pale face.
"So, what brings you to town?" she asked and leaned against the light pole that was responsible for the death of the bug earlier.

Leonia nodded her proud head in understanding. She was forever analysing the situation she was thrown into.
I live here.
She spread her arms, looking about.
Just... not directly here.
A ghost fo a smile played on her lips.

When Leonia nodded her head, Isabella relaxed slightly. The other vampire obviously understood how the younger felt.
I live here.Just... not directly here.
Izzy smiled back at Leonia, her muscles relaxed even more, but she would still be on her guard. It wasn't that she was misjudging the other girl, she had always been a little on edge around new people.
"I'm from Canada," the teen replied idly, not really knowing if Leonia would care or not.

"I'm from Canada"
Leonia tilted ehr head the other way, raising her eyebrows slightly.
Canada? I have never been there. I was made twice in New Orleans. My explorations took me far, but...
She held her hands up, as if checking for rain, and looked at the sky.
There's no place like home.
She grinned, and her sharp incisors almsot glowed int he street lights.
I came here to feed and found it plentiful with people who believe I merely wear a costume.
She laughed harshly, and her merciless creutly was plain.
