"Hmmm..." He laughed. Standing, he offered her his hand, then pulled her against him, hugging her. "We can start tonight..." he teased, laughing. "We can dance like we're going out...it's been awhile, and I used to enjoy dancing."
He laughed, taking her hand. "But a drink sounds good first." he said, tugging her gently. "You have such good ideas..." his eyes sparkled; he'd evidentally regained his earlier good-humor. The past was past, and he refused to let it weigh him down anymore. "I'll even let you buy my first drink, you sucessful singer you..."
He grinned and winked at her. God, he was glad he'd met her. He needed a good friend, and it was clear that Inora was going to be one of those. They were rare; he would have to make sure he kept up his part of the friendship. To let her slip away because he was too lazy to keep in touch...it would be a stupid, stupid thing to do. "Come on!"

Inora gave a small squeak of surprise when he pulled her up from the chair and hugged her. "Hayaki!" She said, laughing. "You're going to make me blush, silly." She couldn't help but be excited, she was used to dancing alone. But dancing with a man might be fun, specially since there would be no awkwardness or worrying about whether she was sending the wrong signals. She followed beside him as he tugged her toward the bar. They came out through the curtain, hand in hand, and Inora could see her friends watching with confused looks on their faces. She smiled and slid closer to Hayaki, giving her friends a quick wink. This was certainly fun. "Alright." She said, "First round is on me, but only because you actually enjoyed the music. Anybody who likes my band deserves a drink."
She smiled at the bartender and ordered herself a soda, since she didn't drink. "Order whatever you want, they'll put it on my tab." She laughed. "I feel so cool, I have a tab!" The bartender handed her the glass with her soda in it and she smiled up at Hayaki. This night was shaping up to be a lot more fun than she'd planned. Usually, after a gig, Inora just went to her empty house and sat in front of the tv with a carton of Ben and Jerry's. Yeah, her life was not a very exciting one, but apparently Hayaki was going to change that. Inora certainly hoped so, a good friend could change everything, which in her case would be a good thing.

Hayaki laughed at the blushing comment and shook his head. At the bar, he ordered a Long Island ice tea-one of the few drinks he knew what was-and sipped it, his eyes moving to Inora's group mates. "Mmm...they look interested." he said, grinning evilly. "This is going to be fun."
He took a few more drinks of his tea, then set it on the bar, winking at the bartender. "So...let's dance." He said, laughing. The music was an upbeat pop tune, perfect for dancing, as evidenced by the already-crowded dance floor. Taking her hand again, he grinned and pulled her out onto the floor, taking his cues from those around him-dancing had changed a little since he'd last been out. But he was feeling it. The good company, the good music, and the alchohol was combining to make him feel loose and happy. Looping his arms over her shoulders, he leaned in and spoke in her ear.
"How much do you feel like teasing them?" he asked, his voice pitched to just be heard over the music.

Inora laughed, her hair flying out behind her as he pulled her to the dance floor. She smiled at him as she felt his arms on her shoulders. "Hmm...Let's see." She swayed with the music, her hips picking up the beat quickly. She took Haya's hands off her shoulder and turned around quickly, looking at her friends. She gave them another wink and enjoyed their envious faces. She turned back around and grinned mischieviously at Haya. "However much you see fit sir." She raised her hands, looked over her shoulder at her friends, and did a small shimmy, that, though she had not meant it to be, was surprisingly seductive. "Just beware. My dancing could use some work, so I shall just follow your lead." Strange words, considering she was doing just fine. Inora just had a serious complex about her own skills. The music pumped through the speakers and seemed to pump straight through her body, her hips swayed in perfect time and her arms moved gracefully of their own volition. This was what Inora was all about, simple, unaware beauty and grace. She had absolutely no idea she could be so...well, seductive.

Haya laughed; he danced with her, matching her rhythm, his body moving with just a little less grace but still easily, fluidly. He glanced at her friends, his expression amused, then turned his attention to her.
Holy hell. He moved behind her, 'accidentally' facing her friends, and snuggled up behind her, putting his hands on her hips and molding their bodies together. Then he 'nuzzled' her ear, chuckling. To everyone else, it would look like he was whispering sweet nothings-or maybe not-so-sweet enticements. "You know..." he said, his eyes dancing. "I have to tell you...if I ever found a woman attractive in my life, it'd be you. You're simply marvelous..." he spun her around, grinning, and continued dancing, his face open and happy.
He'd not had this much fun in...forever. Just being himself, just having a good time. Just...being. It was a nice feeling. He let himself submerge in the music, loosing himself to the rhythm and the dance, the company, and the simple joy of movement.

Inora smiled as they danced, enjoying the whole dancing with a partner thing. She was a little startled at how close he got to her but then she just laughed under her breath and wrapped her arms backwards, around his neck. She blushed deeply at his comment but smiled playfully. "Don't tease me Hayaki, you might give me unhealthy hopes and dreams that I might be able to turn you straight. Don't play with my heart this way." She grinned to show him she was just teasing. "But on a serious note, I do appreciate the compliments. And let me just tell you, if I were a man I would totally fall for you."
She let herself be spun and tipped her head back for a slightly theatrical laugh. Her mouth twisted into a satisfied smirk. "You know, this is a lot more fun than I'd expected it to be. You having fun, Haya?"

Haya grinned. "Mmm...if only, my friend. But I'm afraid I'm strictly for the boys..." He hugged her, then wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. "If you were a man, we'd be pretty well in trouble at this point..." He chuckled, wrinkling his nose.
"I'm having a great deal of fun." he said, releasing her and turning her back around. The music faded into another song and he licked his lips. "Break?" He suggested. He could use a drink. Not to mention he was panting a bit; he was out of shape. Teaching didn't give one many chances to excercise, after all.

Inora nodded. "Yes I know. So sad." She said, feigning a wistful tone. "But as much trouble as we'd be in, I'm sure it'd be fun." She giggled and shook her head. "My, my but you do bring out the worst in me. I've never acted this way before. Shame on you." She playfully smacked his arm and then laughed.
She noticed his panting and smiled. "Okay you poor out-of-shape Professor, I shall take pity on you." She grabbed his hand and pulled him off the dance floor, back towards the bar. She met the bartender's eyes on their way over and nodded. Once they arrived at the bar, there was a fresh, ice cold soda waiting for her and the bartender was standing in front of them, ready to get Hayaki's order. "Just tell me when you want to call it a night. Because I can go on forever." She was only half joking. She had no place she needed to go, and she didn't really need to be well rested for band practice, seeing as her friends probably wouldn't be. She would just have to rely on her friend to let her know when the night had become too long.

Haya laughed and followed her off the floor, brushing his hair out of his face. He really needed to get out more if he was winded from one dance.
He slipped into his seat, grinning at the bartender. "Whiskey coke, please." He said, licking his lips. Turning to Inora, he leaned his head on his had, grinning. "Mmm. I suppose. I'm not going to be able to last...I thought I was in pretty good shape, but obviously I'm not..."
He shook his head, then suddenly sat up. "Oh...where did I leave my sketchbook?" he asked, his expression filled with a little panic. He couldn't believe he'd just walked out and left it..."It's backstage, I think. Do you think it'll be safe?"
He jittered; that was precious to him. Doubly so with all the wonderful sketches he'd gotten off the group tonight.

Inora sat up straight quickly. "Oh no, I'll go get it. You just sit right here." She jumped up and ran toward the backstage area frantically. Her heart was beating extremely fast, she couldn't believe that she'd allowed him to leave something so obviously important to him behind. God she hoped it was still there. She made pretty good time, dodging gracefully through the people in the crowd, only falling once or twice. She thrust aside the curtain, breathing heavily now. She crashed against the table they had been sitting at.
And heaved a sigh of relief. "Oh thank goodness." She said, the notebook lay on the table in the exact same position it had been in when they left. She picked it up and cradled it protectively to her chest. She had no idea what would have happened if it had been gone. Luckily, almost no one was allowed backstage...or wanted to come backstage. It wasn't very impressive back here. Inora stumbled, still breathing heavily, out the door and towards Haya again. She was pushed side to side, over and over again and finally managed to get out of the crowd...though she was pushed slightly by one of the crowd and fell into the bar.
She held out the precious notebook to Haya and sighed. "Where did all my grace go?" She asked, taking deep breaths to try to slow her breathing. "Here. It's safe. I got it." She made it sound as though she had gone through a great trial in order to do so.

Haya grabbed the notebook, hugging it his chest, and then threw his arms around Inora, hugging her tightly. "Thank you so much..." He sighed and released her, his fingers playing over the surface of the sketchbook. "I'd probably break out into tears if this came up missing." He confessed, blushing a little.
Sitting down, he carefully laid the notebook where it wouldn't get spilled on or taken, then thanked the bartender when he brought his drink. "A toast to the brave warrior who fought her way through the terrible storm to save this poor artist's life work." He said, lifting his glass, his eyes sparkling. "To you, brave lady...my eternal thanks."
; she'd made such a deal of it in such a cute way.

Inora hugged him back. "You're welcome. I wouldn't want to see you break out in tears. I might have started crying too, and that would be truly horrifying." She watched him guard his notebook with a smile.
She burst out laughing when he made his toast. "Oh well, thank you kind sir. It was really the least I could do after you came here. So here's to the brave soul who suffered through my singing and dancing and who continues to be my friend despite those two things." She giggled to show she was only joking about her self-deprication. She knew that she was at the very least fairly talented at both of those things. She took a sip of her soda and smiled at him.
"So, after this drink you want to just call it a night. You looked pretty tired and I'm not feeling to hot after my mad dash through the crowd. And we've still got tomorrow to look forward to." She took another sip and ran her fingers through her hair. "Besides, this hair and these contacts are starting to annoy me."

He winked at her, then sipped his drink. "Yeah, I think I should." he sighed. "I'm not as young as I used to be, after all..."
He stretched, wincing as his back cracked, then smiled at her. "You look good, though. You were right...I could definately see why they picked you to be air. Point of fact, you all looked perfect for your parts."
He tipped his head to the side and gave her a sweet smile. "So you think you're going to be able to talk your fellow band-members into coming to my studio so I can get some close-up detail sketches?" he asked, his eyes twinkling. "I need to fill in details that are harder to catch from the stage..."
He sipped his drink. He had a feeling that was going to be the least of his problems. He would bet the girls would be over-eager to come visit him. Even if only to get more info on his and Inora's 'relationship'....the thought made him snort in amusement.

"Aww...poor old man." She said, and then blushed at his compliment. "Thanks. We try. It actually took a really long time for us to figure out what we were going to do. Girls! They can be so indecisive. I ended up having to tell them what they were going to do. But I'm glad it works."
She nodded in answer to his next question and voiced his thoughts. "Oh they'll come alright, just to grill you on your intentions and tell you that if you break my heart, they'll break your face...you know, the usual." She smiled. "Sorry I couldn't get you a better seat, I tried. Apparently there's some sort of problem with putting a table in the middle of the dance floor. I told them and told them that if the people are dancing they should be able to dance around a table...it's not exactly small. But would they listen? Nope." She sighed with fake annoyance. "Oh well."

Haya grinned wryly and sipped his drink, his eyebrow quirking. He didn't have a lot of experience with females; he'd grown up an only child, never had any girl friends, and found out he was gay in college...sort of insulated, if he thought about it. But he'd heard the jokes often enough.
The part about her friends was pretty much what he'd been thinking and he shrugged, giving her a wicked grin. "I promise not to break your heart." He said with mock-seriousness, holding up his hand. "Scout's honor..." He laughed and picked his drink up, taking a few drinks. As much as he wanted to spend more time with her, he was starting to feel a bit fuzzy, really. Tired.
He burst out laughing at her last comment, nearly spilling his drink down his front. "Mmm." He said, setting the drink down. "I suppose it might cause a commotion. Plus, once everyone knew what i was doing, they'd alllll want pictures..." He winked at her, then made a face. "And I'd never get anything done..."
