The Yellow Bird Hotel was right in the middle of the action. Christian had partied her month away as expected, wanting to stay with her new friends. She would miss the beaches, the resturaunts, everything. The airport was only a few minuits away if she took a cab, her suitcases were packed. The flight wasn't for at least another two hours, and so she decided to visit her friends before leaving.
Apparently they had thought the same thing as a knock came on the door. When she looked out of the peephole, she smiled widely before opening the door. Everyone was happy to see each other, especially Garrett. One of the most adorable guys of the bunch, already she felt like she was losing a brother. She cupped his hand before hugging him tightly.
"It's going to be fine. I'll come back I promise."
She said softly whispering so only he could hear. Everyone else had settled around the room, hating that she was leaving, but ready to party before she did. Christian and Garrett let go, he placed an arm around her waist while Trista tossed her a beer.
"Thanks."
She said raspy with a smirk. Popping the cap off and tossing it on the table. Rory, another girl, had just plopped down on Sieren's lap. The two had been dating for five years. She just didn't understand why the two never married yet. Slow was better she always thought.
Rory "So, what do you think you'll get into when you go back? Lots of shagging and paties yeah?"
They all laughed before a red glow came over Christian.
"As a matter of fact, no. I will not be shagging anyone. You guys know that I am still looking for my special someone."
She said with an uppity class. Mocking the church. Everyone laughed.
Trista "I can't believe your a virgin. And with all the hot meat on this island." Shaking her head. "Your a fucking saint."
Christian laughed and sat down on Garretts lap after he took a seat. He cradled her, both sipping.
"Trust me, there have been many times where I could have...and wanted to." She began pointing a finger, then relaxing into Garrett. "I just want to find the right one. Besides, I have more than enough time, and many ways to enjoy life." She finished with a giggle. They soon followed after.
It felt like the circle on That 70s Show. They were all sitting around, piled on the edge of both beds, the room filled with smoke, and some were even giggling to the dumb and well off odd statements.
Sieren "Well, I hope you come back little dude. Call, write. Some shit like that." He laughed like a typical stoner, as did they all. "We're gunna miss you though."
Christian smiled. "I'm gunna miss you guys. All of you." There went the third group hug. "I gotta get going." She said while standing. She was a little messed up, but even better for the plane ride to the states. They followed suit, Garrett grabbed her bags, and they all piled out of the room.
In front of the hotel, a bellboy waved for a cab, she finished checking out earlier, so it was easier to stay with the group.
Trista "Well, this is hit." She sighed, smiling sadly and coming in for a hug. Christian hugged her back, parting to hug everyone else individually.
Garrett "I'll catch up to you guys later." He said while Christian was getting into the cab. They nodded, understanding, and then slid into the car. Christian gave him a funny look. "I want to see you off.
Garrett was a very handsome man. He was born in Barbados, but raised in Puerto Rico. The sexiest tanned skin anyone has ever had. Big brown eyes, and a smile that caused even the meanest person to smile. She would miss seeing his face everyday.
After checking in her luggage and heading towards the opening port terminal, he took her to the side between the restroom enterance and the phone hall.
Garrett "Look." He began undoing his chain clasp. It was always admired by her, and he knew how much she loved it. He took her hand and placed it in her palm, closing it after it reached her skin. Her face was torn, and she was speechless. She hugged him tight, a tear welling up in her eyes.
"Thank you. I'll come back for you." She said low in his ear. "I promise."
A woman's voice came over the speaker system, and they reluctantly pulled apart from the hug. She wiped her eye, he leaned in and kissed her cheek. She looked back when she walked away, passing the boarding pass and passport to the gatekeeper, she looked back once, then headed into the tunnel. His hand was still held up until he could no longer see her.
This was going to be longest and hardest flight of her life.
