Chloe
the devils gift to earth.

It was chilly, the wind was blowing rather hard and it was unlike a summer night. Normally when the blonde haired beauty went for her stroll it was humid, hot, and unlike what she was experiencing now. Yet not even a change in weather could keep her scheming side from thinking something up. To be quite frank she was on the verge of starving she had not ate or tasted the metallic red liquid in days. Her lust for the red water was already at its peak also but the burning sensation in her stomach was becoming to much to bear.

There had to be a lonely mortal out for a stroll some where, maybe one that was intoxicated with the sinful juices. Well it would be hell to pay for the others if she did not get this lustful and serious desire of food into her stomach. Stopping right before she reached the corner heightened senses could smell the wavering scent of after shave and cologne. The gentle voice of a man who was alone; it...or he was the perfect target. Mind cranked for minutes before a smirk of devilish pride spread her lips. A glint of the devils muse sparkled in her eyes with a twinkle that seemed to never dim.

Stepping from the corner she threw her self down onto the sidewalk and a shrill scream escaped her voice box. Tears flooded her eyes and streams ran down her cheeks leaving a wet trail, pitifully eyes glanced up at the man who had ran promptly to her side. "That man, where did he go? He is going to come back for me!" Shaky voice played well with her little plan to make this man her next victim. The man held her tight and stared down with loving eyes and the eyes of that of a drunk. No doubt he was intoxicated with devil water and now she could take advantage of him. "I am Chloe sir." He nodded but did not produce his name instead he stared at her body which was not completely covered up. Moving her lips to his neck she kissed it slightly and hearing him produce a satisfactory groan she did it again.

Chloe ran her teeth up his neck and down his neck before stopping and quickly sinking her teeth into the white flesh. His little scream made the girl grin with pride before she ran her nails threw his hair. Her mouth flooded with the longing taste of blood, standing up she placed a kiss on his cheek which left a bloody lip print. Staring down at him she laughed softly before making her way down the street. Chloe was not one to mess with and her jealous nature was always a problem to most but it made her who she is. Right now she was slightly annoyed that Aubrey and Kaden had left to New York without telling her. But then of course she knew they were in a hurry because of Shaden.

She smiled to herself. Massimo was so mean to him. He had been the one to find out about Aubrey and Sevanni, and then he told Chloe. And of course Chloe couldn't keep her mouth closed about something like that. So she told Shaden. It was only later that she learned that had been a mistake. She had thought he would go talk to Aubrey about it, but no, the fool had to go to Massimo's. But that was done and over with and she was here in New York. She wondered where they were staying. If only they had brought her along they could have stayed at her house. It was plenty big enough for all of them. She sighed and continued to walk around the streets. It felt good to be home. Another thought was bugging her: What had Shaden done to Massimo to begin with? She shook her head. She had no clue. But she might be able to find out if she went and talked to Massimo. But she didn't want to deal with him right now. Not on her first not back home.

Aubrey walked up silently behind Chloe. She hissed. "Funny to see you here in New York precious. Did you have a nice meal?" Her eyes were black with her rage. She was fighting ripping Chloe apart. It didn't matter how ad Chloe wanted power. She was nothing compare to Aubrey and she knew it.

She glared at her. Her anger swelling more and more inside of her. "Seems like I haven't seen much of you lately. I have been running around so much for Xavier. Trying to please him and still run around figuring out ways to get you what you want." She stepped up to her and trailed her finger across her face.

"Chloe, Chloe, Chloe. What have I not done for you. What have I denied you to make you do something so vicious to me?" She jerked her hand and was suddenly gripping Chloe's beautiful face in it. She drew her face in close and hissed. "Now. Do you have anything you think you should tell me? Maybe something that you think you should explain?"

Aubrey pulled a small vile out of her pocket. "Or should I just use this and burn your beautiful face?" She looked down at it. "They have been working on this for some time now. You can never heal from it's burns." She brought her black gaze back up to Chloe."Little birdie want to sing me a song?"

Chloe suddenly stopped and turned around, putting on a smile. "Well I came right after you, love." She said softly, she noticed Aubrey's black eye. Thats not good... Did Aubrey know that Chloe was the one to tell Shaden? She tried to stay calm. And she continued to smile. But it was hard when she could feel Aubrey's anger building in her.

Chloe took a small step back, "Well I haven't seen much of Xavier or you." She said wondering where this was going. "What I want?" That confused her. Aubrey was trying to help herself and Shaden. She crossed her arms. She felt a chill run up and down at Aubrey's touch.

Her eyes slightly widened at her words. She most know. And before Chloe could say anything Aubrey grabbed her by the throat. She closed her eyes for a brief moment. Then opened them to stare into Aubrey's face. "I don't know what your talking about." She said still talking softly.

She stared at the vile that she held. Never heal from it? She shook her head. She really didn't like being held like this or being threaten. "No, don't burn me." She put one hand on Aubrey's arm that held her. "Just let me go, and I'll tell you anything. Please."

Aubrey tightened her grip. Her anger flaring more. Chloe's stupid innocent act wouldn't work with her. She wasn't one to fall for a pretty face. Especially not one that was wrapped around such a little bitch. Shaden was right. Chloe was selfish and coincided.

"Why in the hell would I do anything to help you gain the power you want so badly now. Do you have any idea what you have done." Aubrey brought the vile to her mouth and took the top off with her teeth. She spit it out onto the ground.

Chloe should consider herself lucky that she was only thinking about burning her. She should rip her too pieces. "You do know what I am talking about you greedy little liar. How dare you do this to me. How dare you do something that would take him away from me."

Aubrey's voice was rough and she was resisting crying. She was furious. Because of Chloe, her entire meaning fell to shit. She had nothing and she felt nothing. Nothing but pure rage and Chloe would be the first to feel it. "You took the only thing I cared about away from me. I have to take something important from you now."

Kaden had played a role in this. She knew he had, she just didn't know how deep it went. She would punish him later. Aubrey brought the vile up close to Chloe's face. "You seem to be able to talk just fine like this love. You had best start talking, or I will take away your beauty. Talk fast Chloe. I have no patience. Don't try to lie either. You know that I will be able to tell."

Chloe watched her with wide eyes, and she shook her head slowly. She was getting the blame for something someone else did. That some else started. She was pissed. And tired of being used as a tool for everyones stupid plans. Fine. If Aubrey wanted to know what was going on then Chloe would tell her what she knew.

She felt very uncomputable with the vile so close to her face but she did her best to ignore it. "I was only a messenger in this, Aubrey. I swear to you I didn't want this to happen." She started. She wanted to be let go, and she probably could have gotten out of Aubrey's grip but she didn't want to risk the stuff in the vile getting on her. "It was a man. I only met him once, and I don't know his name. Massimo works for him. He wanted to get Shaden away from you."

She shook her head again. This was wrong. All wrong. Chloe never did understand why that man wanted Aubrey and Shaden to split up so bad. "I can only tell you that he's old. Like Shaden. And he's here in New York right now. Most likely going to see Massimo." She finished, worried that Aubrey would burn her anyway. She tried to stay calm.

Aubrey threw Chloe into a nearby wall. She screamed as she stalked forward to her. Aubrey backhanded her and threw the vile to the ground. She had more. One loss didn't matter to her. Aubrey crouched down to be eye level with Chloe. She sighed softly.

"Why Chloe. Why did you tell Shaden anything? Why didn't you come to me?" Aubrey hissed. You don't work for Massimo or this fucking mystery man. You are in the coven. You don't fucking consort with other vampires against us."

Aubrey brought her hand up to Chloe's face. She could crush it if she wanted too. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. Chloe had evenhandedly screwed everything up. Aubrey couldn't look at her. She would kill her if she opened her eyes and looked at her. "Chloe." She whispered her next words. "Do you realize what you have done?"

Chloe gasped when she was sudden;y thrown back. Pain shot through her head, and before she could focus again Aubrey backhanded her. Her hand went to her face where Aubrey hit her. Her breathing was shallow, too scared to make too much movement. No way was she dieing tonight.

"I..." She felt guilt crawl its way into her mind. Why me? Why did they choose me out of everyone else? She didn't know the answer to that. "It wasn't against you. It was Shaden. Always Shaden. He didn't like you two being together." He looked away. "He said he would kill my brother. And I'm sorry Aubrey but I would do anything for my brother. Just as you would have done anything for Shaden, and he you. I have a responsibility to him." She looked back at her, fighting back tears, "He's the only when who ever loved me and treated me like family. I couldn't let him die."

Chloe winced when Aubrey touched her again. A single tear escaped her eye. "I'm sorry." She knew the word didn't change what she did, but it was still true anyway. "Is there anything I can do to fix what I've done?" She asked looking at the ground.

Her tear fell against Aubrey's hand. Aubrey wanted to rip her eyes out. Chloe's pain meant nothing to her. Nothing she could say or do meant anything to her. "I loved you. I would have protected you and anyone else if you would have just asked me for help."

Aubrey's hand flexed against Chloe's cheek. She was fighting so hard not to rip the flesh away. "Don't. Don't you dare say that you are sorry." Her words were harsher now, filled with more anguish. "Nothing you could say or do will fix what you have broken. You have ruined everything."

Aubrey turned away from her. Chloe wasn't sorry. She just didn't want Aubrey to fuck her face up. Aubrey pulled her hand away and balled it into a fist. Why was it so hard to be with Shaden. Why did no one want them to be with one another. She loved him. She was doing awful things just to ultimately be with him. Who's concern was it.

She shot her fist out and slammed it into the wall beside Chloe's face. She turned back to look at her. "You're not sorry Chloe. Not yet. You bring him to me, you take me to him. I don't give a shit. One way or another, I want him and soon." She tilted Chloe's chin up with her free hand. Aubrey wanted her to see the pain and betrayal in her eyes.

"If you don't do it, and do it soon. I will ruin more than just your face. I will destroy anything and everything that you care about. You made a mistake in being more afraid of him than me." Aubrey pulled Chloe to her and pressed her cheek against hers, whispering softly in her ear."You have managed to destroy the one thing that I cared about. I will kill your brother. I will kill Kaden. I will kill anyone that you have ever even dreamed about caring for and I will make you watch me as I do it."

Aubrey pulled her in closer. "I will torture them in a way that Xavier could have never dreamed off. Do you understand me Chloe? I will take everything away form you and then I will disfigure you so badly that people will run from the sight of you. No one will care for you when I am finished." She kissed her cheek softly. "I was ready to forfeit everything I had and give it to you. I was ready to hand you my power so I could be with Shaden and you have ruined it."

Her voice became softer, more gentle. "Find away Chloe. You know I do not make idle threats."

Chloe closed her eyes for a minute, fighting the insanity that was making its way into her mind. Her whole family had it. It was a curse. "I thought you were only using me like everyone else." She whispered. She opened her eyes again.

She wasn't so sure the blame should be put all on her like this. She was a pawn. A tool in his plan. She hadn't been thinking clearly when she told Shaden. all she could think about was her brother. She'd been upset. And now she was paying the price of her love. Thats why she hated it. Why she tried to close her heart. Of course it wasn't working lately.

She was tired of being used. After tonight she would refuse to be anyone else's tool for power or revenge. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She jumped when Aubrey hit the wall by her head. For one second she thought she was going to hit him. Not that she didn't deserve it if she had. She hated the look in her eyes. "I'll take you to him." She said softly. "I can take you to him tonight, but he'll be at Massimo's."

She felt her breathing stop when Aubrey pulled her closer. She listened silently. She couldn't hurt Kaden. And not her brother either. She wouldn't have to anyway. Chloe was going to take her to him. No matter what he would say about it. He'd just have to deal with it. She didn't care.

Aubrey pushed her back away from herself. She stood slowly and ran her hands over her clothing, smoothing it back down. She glared at Chloe. "Get up and lets go then. I have no patience tonight. Not for you." Aubrey just glared at her. She was building up her shields again.

Now looking at Chloe, with her blank face and dead black eyes she could think clearly. Chloe couldn't read her now. She would kill them. She knew that Chloe didn't believe her, but she would. Whether Chloe took her or not was of no consequence. She still might kill them, just so Chloe could feel her pain.

She wasn't moving fast enough for Aubrey's liking. She reached her hand out and entwined her fingers into Chloe's hair. Once upon a time Aubrey had loved her. Once upon a time Aubrey would have ran her fingers through Chloe's hair just to remember the night that they had shared blood. Their power combined had been so intense.

Once upon a time Aubrey would have done anything to help Chloe. Now that was gone. The memory faded quickly and Aubrey jerked Cloe roughly to her feet. Had she not have been shielding or filled with such rage she would have cried. Cried for the loss of Chloe. but now she couldn't even feel the least bit remorseful. Aubrey hissed at her. "Hurry."
