Addie lounged at the bar watching everyone dance. Sometimes, nights like tonight, she wished that she was more open to having friends. She spent too many nights avoiding people. Addie giggled at some of the costumes. Tonight there was a huge costume contest. Females were supposed to dress up and flaunt themselves around. They would all pile up on stage toward the end of the night and the crowd would all cheer for their favorites. She wasn't sure what you won, but she was excited to dress up. She had choose to be a simple doll. It wasn't flashy, and it surely wouldn't win, but she was getting a few raised eyebrows and that satisfied her. She sighed and watched the costume clad groups dance. She was tired of going everywhere by herself. She wanted companionship sometimes. Addie's Costume |

Adam Vagus sat near the rear of the club watching all the women in their revealing costumes flaunt their stuff. Already several had caught his eye and he theirs. Taking a sip of his root beer the six foot three dark haired man caught sight of a beautiful woman dressed as a doll. She looked lonely, like she needed someone to sweep her off her feet.
"Well you're in luck honey. Adam Vagus is here to do just that," he said to himself. Setting his glass down he stood up and made his way through the crowd to the beauty. He wore a reproduction uniform of a World War I dough boy, his ever present Colt .45 holstered at his waist. Standing next to the woman Adam turned on the charm and said, "So what Barbi doll are you supposed to be, Naughty Girl Barbi?"

He watched the man approach Addie. He didn't like it, not at all. He didn't like the fact that he had to find her here anyway. Gabe walked over to Addie, placing a drink down beside her. His dark eyes lit up.
"It's certainly been a while since I have seen you Addison. I hope you still drink Double Jack on the Rocks."
He raise his eye brow inquisitively at her. She looked good, but then again, Addison had always looked good to him. he smoothed his hand down his lack shirt over his chest. He was not one to overdress. He wore a tight black shirt that hung untucked over dark denim jeans. his perfectly manicured feet could be seen thanks to the dark Fossil flip flops he wore.
Gabe threw Addison a charming smile.
"Aren't you going to hug me and tell me how much you have missed me?"
His eyes lost there humor as did his voice. They both grew dark and promised unpleasantness.
"I know I have missed you."
He glared at the other man. But remained talking to her.
"Yes Addie, which Barbie are you tonight?"

Gage was sitting inside of the club. It was somewhat nice. Great techno was playing with in the club. He was watching the stupid humans acting like complete idiots. And they where wearing costumes. Some where dancing, some where selling drugs, and some where doing mob business. He looked around for a semi-drunk or stupid female to feed off of. He watched the fools dance around to the techno. Then he smelt a vampire. He scanned the area until he spotted the vampire. Damn he thought that he was the only one here. He ignored the vampire and looked out for a good meal. He ignored the stupid werewolf that he smelt.

Addie smiled and laughed at him. Obviously he was a werewolf and he obviously knew what she was. She looked him over in his costume. She was going to open her mouth and say something clever, but Gabe Dante walked up and spoiled her fun.
She glared at the human. Had she not made it clear that she no longer wanted to see him? He was obsessive and too arrogant for her liking. Not to mention he was a human. Not that there was anything wrong with that for anyone else, but for Addie it just didn't work. Vampires mixing with humans just didn't work.
"I hate to say that I think you might have missed me a tad bit more Gabriel. She hated when he used her full name. She took the drink and finished it in one setting. She slammed it back down on the bar and turned toward Adam. She grinned at him.
She wasn't going for 'Naughty Barbie', but she would play up the part if it would get under Gabriel's skin. "Oh baby, I am so naughty I make the other Barbie's blush. She turned and motioned for the bartender. "I'm Addie, can I buy you a drink?"
Her eyes found another vampire off to the side. She grinned his way as well. If this was going to be a party, she might as well live it up. She wiggled her finger at him, motioning him to come to her. She looked back at Adam. "I hope you can play nice tonight." |

My Costume
Aubrey dance along to the techno. With everything that had been going on she needed an night to just let go. She had never been one to ignore a good costume party. A flash of someone caught her eye at the bar. She wiggled free from the dancing masses and made her way to Adam Vagus.
Her last encounter with him had been odd. She probably freaked him out and now he was here. She wondered if Colette was anywhere near by. She placed her hands on his shoulders and leaned into his ear. "Wanna fight a super hero soldier boy?" She giggled and hugged him, finally noticing Addie.
"Oh My God! Addie?" She flung her arms around her friend. It had been too long since she had seen her. "You are looking good baby doll." Aubrey laughed. her eyes fell on the human and she could feel the tension in the group. She shrugged it off. She wanted to have fun tonight.
She stuck her arm out to the male. "I'm Aubrey.How did you get mixed up with these two riff raffs?"

Bella walked in the party, dressed as a nurse. The dress was bright red with white stripes, it went just a few centimeters down her thigh. She had a nurses hat on, a tethescope around her neck, and an apron. She looked around the room. She didn't see anyone that she new. She heard about the party when she was walking down town. She thought she would give it a try. She saw some vampires and a werewolf. She thought she would give them a try.
Bella smoothed out her dress, put her best smile on and walked over to them. "If someone is offering to buy drinks, I would love one." Bella flashed them a pearl white smile. She decided to go with a more suddle Bella than the shy innocent one. She got more things this way.

"Name's Vagus and sure I'll take a root beer," Adam said to Addie ignoring the human. "As for playing nice, does spanking naughty girls like you count?" he asked flashing her his naughty boy smile.
When Aubrey whispered in his ear and hugged him it brought back a flood of memories, some good and some bad. Before he could say anything she had turned her attention to first Addie then the human. Although he kept his 'game face' on inside he burned with questions. He wanted to ask Aubrey about Colette, if she'd seen her, how she was doing, and if she was mad at him for leaving. The last time he'd seen the lovely vampire was when he'd finally caught up with Aubrey and her at the cafe. He'd been such a fool then, such a dimwitted fool.
Adam was so caught up in these thoughts he didn't notice the other lovely lady walk up until she asked for a drink. Brushing aside those intrusive thoughts with the intention of asking Aubrey later he ran his eyes along the woman's body. She was beautiful without a doubt but he'd already made his move. If it didn't work out he'd try her. Adam never even considered making a move on Aubrey. He liked her, but not in that way. She was a friend, pure and simple.

Addie squealed with delight when Aubrey walked over. Addie didn't allow herself to become close to anyone, but for as long as she roamed the world, she knew that Aubrey would always be the best and closest thing to a friend she would ever had.
Addie giggled as Aubrey introduced herself to Gabe. She would not be so friendly when she found out who he was. Addie found a great relief in knowing that Adam and Aubrey knew each other, brownie points for him. She grinned at him as she handed him a root beer. "I think that would be playing very nice." She flashed him a grin as she moved slightly closer to him.
Addie began passing out drinks. "Okay, guys." She passed Double Jack around the small group. "One for Aubrey, one for the guy who will be donating blood later..." She smirked at Gabriel. Aubrey was the only reason she wasn't ripping his face of right then. "...One for the naughty little soldier, one for me, and one poison for the pretty little nurse." Addie smiled at her.
"I'm Addie. This is Vagus, Aubrey, and Gabe. And We would love to buy you drinks all night long." She slid herself against Adam and lifted her glass. "Cheers." |

Gabe scowled in Addison and Adam's direction. He didn't like being ignored. He had something rude dancing on the tip of his tongue but then another female came into the group and he smiled. It was a devilish grin. One way or another, Gabe got what he wanted.
He took Aubrey's extended hand and kissed it softly. he watched her eyes with his own.
"Did you know that your name means Elven Queen or Grecian Goddess?" It is a very lovely name."
He smiled as he moved closer to her.
"Addison and I go way back, I am afraid that I haven't gotten to know your little soldier friend. I have been rude."
He traced her cheek with his finger smiling softly.
"My name is Gabriel Dante' and it is a pleasure to meet you."
He was speaking to Adam as well, but he kept his eyes locked on Aubrey. If Addie wanted to continue to scorn him then so be it, he could take home any number of women in this club. Aubrey was currently high on the list.
He took his drink graciously and winked at the newest arrival. If things didn't work out with Aubrey, he could always play doctor with her. A malicious grin spread across his face. Maybe he could take them all home with him. He held his drink up, clinking it against Addie's.

Gage watched the two vampires, the werewolf, and the human act like a bunch of stupid fools. He looked around for a good meal. He was tired of waiting. He wanted a meal soon or there was going to be a massacre. He waited a little bit more. Then Gage started to hum the words to When Your Evil. It was one of his favorite songs to hum. It was more like his theme song. The techno kept on playing and the fools kept on dancing. There might be a massacre tonight.

Bella smiled. They were all so beautiful. She saw Adam checking her out. She flipped her hair and gave him a smile, all fang. "Thank you." Bella nodded at Addie and took the drink, sipping it slowly and smiling. "What brings all you to this party?"

"Cheers," Adam said raising his glass and wrapping an arm around Addie's waist, pressing her body against his. Answering Isabella's question Adam said, "I came here because I wanted to and I'm glad I did because now I have some candy to nibble on." Although when he said this he was looking at Addie he kept Gabe in the corner of his eye. Something about the man rubbed him the wrong way and if he tried anything stupid he'd quickly regret it. "How about you my dear?" he asked Addie.

Aubrey pulled her hand away from Gabe's. She smiled, but she didn't like the way he watched her. She would hate to have to ruin such a beautiful face. "Pleasure is all mine, Gabriel." She found it amusing that he called Addie by her full name. She hated that.
Aubrey lifted her glass. "Cheers." She watched Adam pull Addie against him. She snicked. Adam had better be careful, Addie was a ruthless heart breaker. Gabriel was a great example of that.
"Well, I am here to drink and goof off. I have never been able to resist a good costume party, albeit one a a techno club!" She laughed and caught sight of a familiar face off to the distance. "Excuse me darlings." She scampered off into the crowd.
Aubrey walked up to Gage and smiled softly. "Gage, right?" She held out her hand. She recognized him from Blake's shop. She hadn't introduced herself that night. "I'm Aubrey, and it would delight me to no end if you came and joined me and my friends."
Aubrey didn't wait for his response. She grabbed his arm and pulled him back over to the bar. This was surely proving to be an interesting evening. "Everyone, this is Gage." She grinned and handed him a drink. "He will be joining us tonight."

Adam saw Aubrey snicker and raised a quizzical eyebrow. She knew something, but what? It was then his turn to smirk when she ran off and came back dragging a corpse along. When she introduced him Adam nodded in his direction. "Hello Gage, name's Vagus. I see you already know our mutual friend."
