Ella stretched her long form out slowly before sinking back into Patrick's tub. She had just arrived home from London. Regrettably he was not home to hear her good news. She was tired, and eager to see him.
Being pleased with her good news, and with herself she had taken up her time decorating his bathroom with a dozen black scented candles. She filled his large porcelain tub with warm water and rose petals.
She ran her toe around the edge of the faucet as she hummed to herself. Patrick would be home soon. Already she could feel the void of his absence filling in. This pleased her. She had pulled her hair up in a messy bun, but still little wisps clung to the nape of her neck.
She hadn't fought Xavier, she was good. She kept her promise to Patrick. She cooed to herself. Soon enough she would murder Xavier's entire coven. Making him watch. She would pay special attention to his precious little Aubrey. Killing her would be delightful. Watching the pain in Xavier's eyes as she died would be delightful.
Ella wiggled with glee. Xavier tried so hard to cover his feelings for his little betrayer, but they were there. He was only fooling himself if he thought that it went completely unnoticed.
Ella pushed her thoughts away from the damned coven and to Patrick. A lazy smile fell about her lips. She had been lost until him. She had thought that she was whole, she had thought that she could take care of her pack on her own. She didn't realize how much she had needed him. She hadn't realized how much she would have missed him. She traced one of the petals with her finger. She was home now. Back, safe and sound to her Patrick.

Patrick stumbled home, pausing at the door to sniff warily. Someone was in his house...after a second, he felt all of the tension that had occupied his shoulders the last week draining away.
Ella...
Closing the door behind him, he kicked off his shoes, then stripped his jacket off. Making his silent way through the house, he knew she would have felt him come in anyway; he made no effort to hide his scent or aura. As he approached the bathroom, his lips curled up. Candles...ah, Ella.
He stood in the doorway, taking in the scene, and sighed, a pleased sound. "Ella." He said softly, almost caressingly. God, he'd been so worried about her. He'd not been sleeping, sure that he'd sent her to die. That she'd not be able to hold her temper and that he'd loose the one thing that kept him sane in this crazy world.
"Welcome home." He said, his voice low and deep, full of undertones that told her exactly what he was feeling. Moving forward, he knelt at the side of the tub, reaching his hand out to brush her cheek. "You came back."

"It was very tempting to run off with their coven leader, but he was afraid that you would hunt him down." She smiled softly and kissed his fingers. "Of course I came back. You just worry yourself for nothing, dearest."
Ella's tension had drained away with Patrick's. Now that he was home the empty void that had filled her body melted away and no longer existed. Her thoughts had been occupied with him since she had left Paris. Patrick worried for her too much. A lazy smile spread over her face as she coyly smiled at him.
"Won't you get in the tub with me? I want to hear what you have been up to in my absence." She peeked up at him through her lashes.

Patrick snorted, not believing her a moment about the coven leader-as if she'd dirty herself like that. He stood, silently stripping his clothes off, then carefully climbed into the tub, settling out. "Come here." He said softly, holding his arms out to her. He wanted to feel her close to him; hear her heartbeat, feel her breathing, and quell the last of his his fears with the reality of her living body next to his.
He knew he was being stupidly paranoid, but...he couldn't help it. Sending her to the vampires had been the hardest thing he'd ever done. "Tell me about the meeting. Will they cooperate?" he asked softly, watching her with his dark, brooding eyes.

Ella shifted, moving toward his outstretched arms. She laid her body against his, resting her head on his chest. She sighed happily as she snuggled down into him. "The meeting went well." She spoke softly as her fingers absently traced his over hand and arm.
"My beginning time in Paris was spent gathering information on him and his coven. His members are strong, but there is definitely an uprising coming that might be to our advantage later. Xavier doesn't have such a great control over all of his members." She kissed his chest and smiled at the comment. Xavier's coven might have a greater strength when it came to battle, but over all, their packs strength within one another was greater.
"He was late to meet me, and you know how I detest waiting. But he'll cooperate. We will forged a temporary alliance and help to stop this corruption." She smiled up at him, rising to kiss his chin. "I was a good girl. I only threatened him a little." She flashed Patrick a dazzling grin, rather pleased with her self control.

Patrick gently stroked her back, listening to her report with half-closed eyes. When she'd finished, he chuckled a bit, bringing his hands up to stroke her cheek. "Good girl." He said soflty, teasingly. "I knew you had it in you."
He pulled her back against his chest, breathing in the smell of her, and pondered. Some kind of uprising? He didn't really care; he rather hoped they tore each other to shreds. But afterwards. He hated to admit it, but he needed them. Not just because his pack wasn't really set for fighting; to go against a pack of determined vampires (and werewolves, he admitted. There will be werewolves; we will be fighting our own kind...)...
He sighed and closed his eyes the rest of the way. "Did you set up a way for me to meet this vampire?" he asked softly. He was going to have to speak with him personally...he didn't have a way out of it.

Ella curled up against him, nuzzling different parts of his neck and chest. "Yes. He will meet with you. I would suggest though making sure that you had two pack members with you." She sighed softly.
"I do not trust Xavier. I know that he will help us in this fight, but there is this way that he just looks at people, like he constantly has something up his sleeve." She cuddled against him, blocking out thoughts of terrible things happening to Patrick and the pack.
"When you want to see him, I will call and set up your meeting." She kissed the side of his neck softly. "Now Darling, what did you do in my absence? This is the third time I have asked, if you keep ignoring my question I fear that I must assume the worst."
Ella grinned up at him, her nose crinkling in the process.

Patrick nodded, still gently running his hands through her hair. "As soon as possible." he said with a sigh. "I want to get it over with. You and..." He paused, his expression thoughtful. "I think, actually, just you and me, if possible. I don't know if I could trust any of the rest of the pack to behave if he starts being a bastard."
He tipped his head down and laughed, kissing her scrunched nose. "I was good." he said softly. "Only a few fights; nothing serious. Gathered up a few new strays. Worried about you..." he kissed her mouth, lingeringly, then nuzzled her back. "Picked up a few pack-members." He smiled and shifted, sliding down a little so he could arrange her more comfortably, his hands gently ghosting over her hips. "Waited for you." he said, his voice growing a bit husky. Kissing her again, he let his eyes slide half-shut, a smile curving his lips.
"Missed you." he breathed softly.
