Colbie was squatting looking at the funny looking bug on the bud of a pinkish flower in front of her. The moonlight illuminated the cobblestone path, the locked fence (Colbie had no trouble getting over it, it was low and purposeless in her mind), the dew on the flowers, the buds and open night flowers. She smiled, This place was beautiful!
She got up and walked only a few steps before something caught her eye, a movement. She looked into the darkness, but she failed to see anything, she chalked it up as her over active imagination again.
She picked a open white flower and stuck it happily in her hair, she caught movement in her peripheral vision. She was sure something was here, human, or animal? She sniffed the air, but she was only a few months a vampire. Her powers were more or less useless to her currently.
"Um hell-oooo?" Colbie called out, "is someone there?"

Ali hid against the ruff bark of the tree and tried to calm her breathing down. That was one thing she knew that could give her away. And she wasnt in the mood for dying quit yet. Hell, she didnt want to die at all. Which put a good use to that immortality did it not? But that was still besides the point. She had just arrived here, and already, she had found herself face to face with the one thing she admired and feared at the same time. A vampire.
By the looks of it, this other vampire was brand new in creation like her. But how old, she couldnt tell. Five years of being a vampire and she was still as clueless as ever. She hoped that as she aged she could gain more experiance. But then she stiffened as she heard the other vampire speak up. She had been caught after all. So much for stealth. So she sighed and walked out into the light on the path.
She shuffled her feet slightly and gazed down, not really sure what to do in this case. But then she decided to try and be brave. She looked the other vampire right in the eyes and said, "Hi."

"Hi!" Colbie said happily as she rocked on her feet, pink and brown hair swaying with the movement, "enjoying the flowers too? They are so pretty, I like this one," she said pointing to the one she had in her hair. She took in the floral scent, mixed with the girls, she wondered if she was human.
Colbie was nearly always happy. This night was no exception, she was bubbling over with the joy of finding the garden, it was absolutely breathtaking!
She could tell the girl was a bit nervous, Colbie's head tilted to the side as if confused, "you okay?"

California.
It was beautiful to say the least. Xavier had heard humans speak of the place countless times in London. However, it was the first time that he actually visited the place itself. The entire atmosphere differed from England. Even scent was different than his original birthplace. It truly was a surprising experience. However, Xavier was curious to know if he was the only one of his kind in this place. He knew for a fact Blood-Drinkers lived in New York and places like Paris and most of Europe in general, but he wasn't sure as to here.
The bright moonlight cast a luminous glow over the Gardens as he quietly moved in between pockets of darkness that decorated the area. It was very strange, he was used to picking up the familiar scent of Blood-Drinker rather quickly back in London but for here it wasn't the same. Truth be told, Xavier was bored and he needed attention. Ever since the disbanding of the Black Nail Coven, Xavier had been rather lonely and isolated from any friendly contact due to his reputation.
If only..
Then suddenly he picked up the scent, it was strong. So strong that his mind doubted it being only a single vampire but maybe two. Xavier's head quickly darted in random directions looking for which way to go and he decided to follow a trail. With the scent smoothly entering his body, he also heard faint speaking echo in his ears, it was exciting to him, maybe he wouldn't be so lonely after all.

Ali watched this other vampire with quiet amusement. She didnt seem that bad actually. More or less...she seemed young and care free. Like I use to be... She thought silently to herself and that single thought was enough to blacken her mood so she pushed it far back and away from presence. She didnt want to ruin this chance to meet someone. Anyone. She was longing for a friend. And maybe she could be her friend.
Ali tilted her head to the side as the other girl asked her a question. Her dark brown bangs fell into her face and covered her fearfull dark brown eyes. "Yeah, im fine...." She whispered, almost unaudible. But of course she was asking herself that very question. Was she all right? Images of that horrible night in Vegas crept its way to her mind and sank its claws in, refusing to be ignored.
She shivered slightly from the memory and then with an effort pushed that aside to. It seemed to be what she normally did now. She then looked up quickly as she heard something. It was another vampire. She was that sure. But how close or how old and other details she couldnt make out. "Looks like we have company..." She said.

Finally.
Xavier arrived at the scene with his hands deep within his trench coat pockets. He peered out from the shadows and looked at the two females. This was indeed where the scent was coming from. Xavier slowly walked out from the shadows, his ominous evil presence following him with each step as he walked up to the two females observing the plant life. He wasn't sure as to how to greet them, he was new to introducing himself. Ever since he first became a Vampire he was taught to Kill on Sight whether it be Vampire,Werewolf or Human.
Hello.
The shakiness in his voice was quite distinguishable as his eyes glued to the cobblestone walkway. He didn't know how the Females would react, or if they would react. atleast he was brave enough to finally break out of the sadistic shell that molded around him since his entered immortal life.

Ali watched the shadows as the stranger got closer. She swallowed and waited in eager patience and yet another emotion was once again fear. The thought crossed her mind that this might be an enemy and not a friend. But she didn't know that did she? And why not give them a chance? Because you wouldn't be able to get away. Her mind answered for her. She hated her own thoughts at times.
She turned slightly so she could watch both vampires. Her stance was almost protective. Not that she had any hope against two vampires. And she didn't expect to win any fight, actually. She had been weak as a human and so why should being a vampire change that? What really was the difference between life and death? "Hi...." She said softly again, taking in the male stranger with curiosity now. He seemed just as fearful as her.

A small smile stretched across his lips as the simple exchange of words brought a warming, welcoming vibe to his entire aura. Xavier nodded his head slowly with the smile still on his face. His head slowly looked up at the bright moon, the light almost blinding as it was so pure. He took his hands out of his pocket revealing the Black, glossy, Talon-like nails on each of his fingers. He clenched his fists several times cracking a few joints and then taking a long sigh of relief and comfort.
It's nice to see that there are others here, I thought i was alone..
He said looking back at the two females. It seemed that the two of them had already seemed to be acquainted quite well within the few minutes of meeting, Xavier only hoped the same for him. It was nice having other vampires to talk to for this long, even though less than 2 sentences were exchanged between them.

Ali couldn't help herself and so a small smiled appeared on her small face. It lit up her features and made her dark eyes stand out. She never smiled that often and when she did it was a treat. One who could make her smile was truly special.
She brushed her bangs away from her eyes and continued to watch the stranger, who seemed relieved now that some words had been exchanged. She glanced at the flowers for a minute, entranced by their beauty and then back to him. "Nope. Not alone. But I will admit I haven't talked with any other vampires ever." She blinked slightly and wondered why she had just said that.
A small fear pierced her. Would that show weakness? Would she regret that decision later? So many questions danced through her mind and she had no answers to them. If her heart would still have been able to beat, it would have pounded its way out of her chest.

Ever?
That seemed strange, aside from her sire, it was surprising that she had not spoken to any other vampire. Also, it had given Xavier a warm feeling within knowing that he was one of the first with the exception of the Female that she had just met. He crossed his arms and looked down at the flowers that they had been admiring the entire time. Xavier didn't understand why females had such a fascination with something so simplistic and useless, however he did not question it.
Ever?..Well, I'm happy to be one of the first. I'm Xavier Alex of the Black Nail Coven, What is your name..if you don't mind me asking?
Xavier asked reluctantly. A warm smile painted on his lips as he looked at the female with a sign of Friendship. This was, after all, One of his first real friends. This was something that Xavier didn't want to mess up no matter the costs.

Ali chuckled as she saw the startled look on his face. She figured that it would be news and not really good news. But she was glad that he didn't think that she was weak and strange. Well, she was strange, but in her own good natured way. She stepped a little closer to be able to talk with him better and she answered, "I'm Ali shadings. And yep. Never. I was attacked when I was 15 and changed. The stupid idiot ran off after that and left me alone."
She shrugged slightly as she told him this. She felt safe enough to tell him, and she didn't know why. Maybe it was his kind words or the fact that he seemed as eager and yet scared as she was. But all she knew was that she wanted to be his friend, and if that meant telling him about her past, so be it. She would answer questions. Maybe it was about time she tried to live again.

Xavier could feel Ali warming up to him. As she warmed up to him, he warmed up to her. It was about time that he actually had someone to talk to, he liked her. She seemed very easy to talk to and quite friendly. It was an automatic friendship that seemed to occur. Seeing that she was attacked at 15 would explain her obvious youthful appearance. Xavier also frowned at her past. It was already incredibly painful during the transformation but to actually get through it and have the Sire leave you on your own was even more gut wrenching.
"I'm sorry to hear that..All of us aren't like that.."
Xavier said with confidence. Perhaps she thought that since her sire was so ignorant that all male vampire were ignorant and he had to reassure her that it wasn't the case. He moved closer to her to have a more friendly connection as her scent now entered his nose smoothly and set him to relax.

Ali nodded slightly and sighed. "I didn't know that. I wandered for five years by myself in the streets trying to get rid of this hunger....The blood never seemed enough...." She whispered. It hurt to talk about her weakness and the things that had forever changed her life. She didn't know if finally telling someone was a blessing or an idiots decision. But Xavier seemed very friendly and kind enough to trust. She could feel the friendship growing as well.
Then she shook her head, shaking her hair slightly in a wild frizz and added to her previous comment, "Well enough about my pitiful existence. What about you? Anything interesting to tell?" She then glanced at the flower by her feet and picked it up. She touched the soft petals gently and almost protectively.

Me?
The thought struck into his head like a lightning bolt. The question sent his mind into whirlpool of depression and sorrow. Memories of Death and Blood whipped into eyes causing him to cringe at his own actions. Flashbacks poured in front of him and his own body forced him to watch.
It's best to go for the throat on any creature Xavier, The loss of blood will be enough to end the life of a werewolf or Human and cripple and torture a Vampire. Remember all of the Nerves and pressure points I showed you on the human body. Above all else, we will kill you ourselves if you show any sign of weakness to killing any being. Vampires, Werewolves, Humans..They're all enemies to the Black Nail Coven and should be Killed on Sight!
Xavier shook his head quickly, erasing the vision form his eyes and then slowly regaining focus on Ali. The visions caused him to frown a bit at his own devilish past and it was not something he would want to talk about..It would cause even more pain than he had just gained.
Me? Oh, nothing special..just..your average vampire I guess..Besides my Coven..we're almost the same!
He said followed with a smile.

Ali stood there and watched the different emotions flash into his face and the pain in his eyes. Whatever the past held for him, it was painful. She now regretted having asked him that question. Her own past was harsh, yes, but it was possible his was worse and she was an idiot for having not guessed that. She took one more step closer to him and whispered, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked. It was wrong of me." She knew he had said what he said to not discuss the matter so it was closed.
She stepped away again and looked at the flower once more. It was a soft white color like the moon in the night sky and she loved it. It was gorgeous, and innocent. She plucked one petal and then another and flicked them gently at Xavier and chuckled. "So what brings you here?"
