Lars tried to make it further into the clustered crowd. A few push and shoves were made from people trying to catch the flying beads that catapulted from the floats parading on the street.
He had never been to Mardi Gras, and wasn't flattered enough from this experience to plan on doing it again. To many people squishing togather for what? Beads? Wow. Or maybe it was the company, company Lars didn't have. All he had was the mask on his head he'd pulled up from possible suffocation, and the bottle of bear he'd aquired from some strangers a couple of shoves back.
A few cheers were heard and the next float came around. It seemed to be the final one, and the bigest one. The crown became stronger and he bumped into someone.
"Shit, my bad!"

"Ow!" Bella fell down on her butt. She looked up to see who had bumbed her and was shocked to see him standing over her. "Uh-Uh, Hello." Was all she could say as she patted her legs and arms. She was in her tight fitting jeans and black tank top. She moved some of her hair behind her ear and smiled.

Niara had decided to take a trip, her loneliness in Eygpt was starting to take a toll on her. That was when two American travelers stopped in at the pub. They were talking excitedly about where they were going when they mentioned something that caught Niara’s ear. A huge parade, mass amounts of people, and costumes: Mardi Gras. It sounded perfect for a little party to lighten her spirit. And that is what took her from Eygpt to New Orleans.
Currently she was completely regretting that decision. People were getting on her nerves and she couldn’t handle it much any longer, she was starting to lose her patience with all the people crowded around her. She wanted to take one right now, suck them down to nothing, that would make her feel better, but no, she was human free for two months now and she didn’t want to end it now. Her short, silk green dress was starting to irritate her now and she grumbled under her breath. She couldn’t stand it when people got so out of order in a crowd. Someone behind her shoved her own way and she turned to face in “Watch it!” She called viciously. Before she turned to start walking she backing up and that was when she felt someone brush against her and then land on the ground next to her. “MY GOD what is with all these people! Bloody animals!” She growled to the man who she assumed was the reason there now was a girl on the ground. She looked down at the girl who smiled up at the man, and rolled her eyes. He knocks you down and you find that attractive? Then she shook the thoughts out of her head and offered an hand, if she was going to get used to the no people rule she would have to learn to be civil. “Need Help?” she shouted over the massive noise around them.

Bella turned to the open hand. "Yes, thank you." She smiled at the girl and grabbed her hand slowly pulling herself up to face her new acquaintance. She looked at the girl intently. Wow she's so beautiful. Wonder what she's doing here. "Thanks. So what are you doing in a place like this?" She wiped her butt of any dirt and looked into the girls eyes.

Niara helped the girl up. It was hard to hear her over the massive crowd and normally the type of environment with all the flashing lights would cast shadows that a normal human wouldn’t recognize the person they were talking to, Niara however, was a vampire. So recognizing the girl in front of her wasn’t hard. It took a minute but then the name popped into her head. “I’m enjoying the festivities of course.” She replied sarcastically. “And you Bella?” She used the girl’s name to freak her out, wondering if the girl would remember her from that time a few months back where they met in the pub. She offered a coy smile, but then shot a glance at the guy that was still standing there. She hadn’t heard him say anything and wondered if he would say anything at all.

Bella stared in amazement as she heard her name spoken. How did this girl know my name? She tilted her head wondering if she knew her. "Hmm do I know you?" She smiled and moved a lock of hair behind her ear. Her eyes twinkled in the flashing lights. "Oh! I'm kinda lost..." She blushed. As she turned to the boy. "Do you know where we are?" She smiled and blushed.

"But I'm afraid those are the specifics..." his reflexes shot away as a bead went flying towards the girls face. He caught it before impact and strung it around the other girls neck to make it fair. "Mt names Lars by the way" he shouted over the crowd. "Nice to meet you. Good reflexes. I'm Bella!" She shouted back as she let the drunkie pass. She smiled and held out her hand as she flipped her hair to get a better look at the guy. She wondered if he liked them or was just being polite. "So would you guys like to get out of here?" She voice cracked at the last word. She blushed and hoped they wouldn't want to stand there all night. |

Niara smiled at Bella trying to wait for her memory to refresh than she offered, “I’m Niara, from Eygpt.” It was after she said that that she looked over a Lars for the first time. He was fresh and rude and she eyed him cautiously, the quickly reflexes as he caught the beads told her there was something more then human to his character. She kept a smile plastered on her face but her patience was starting to wear thin, remind me why I came here? She questioned herself, mentally growling at herself. Taking in a breath of air she looked from Lars back to Bella waiting for the recognition to dawn on her.

"Oh my god! Your Niara from Egypt aren't you?" She smiled and bounced with joy. "I'm so glad your here." She hugged Niara and looked at the boy. "Whats the matter Niara? Why are you looking at him like that?" She sighed and let go not wanting to be forward. "So want to go somewhere?" She said not directing the question at either one.

Lars cought sight of the one girl looking at him and looked back while pursing his lips then looking back to the other girl. "I like sports", he lied to make up for her compliment on his reflexes. "This crowd is getting crazed...leaving sounds good."

Niara laughed as Bella recognized her and then she shrugged her shoulders when questioned, “Yea leaving does sound wonderful. I guess this crowd is just making me irritable.” She shrugged once more and ran another hand through her hair to try and regain some sense of normality. Her head was actually starting to throb and if she didn’t get out fast she was going to freak. “Let’s just walk, that way.” She picked a random direction that looked like it had less people, “Or do either of you live around here?” She bit her lip sharply, but not hard enough to bring blood, although she wanted to do that. Shaking her head slightly and resisting the urge she kept a close eye on Lars but offered a genuinely weak smile.

Bella bounced and giggled. "Great! Where should we go?" She was so happy to be leaving the crowd. "No lets walk." She held Niara's hand as she walked next to Lars. "This is so much fun." She was blushing as she sensed some tension between the two other 'humans'. She quickly lifted her eyes towards the sky. "It's beautiful isn't it?" She asked as she hoped they wouldn't start a fight.

"Yep, it is" he said absentmindedly as his eyes never reached the sky but kept forward on the shoving crowd. Almost out. There was only a few more layers of straglers left. He himself had no problum with crowds, vut it seemed his new found accuiantences did. No resentment leaving the smelly jumble of bodies, though. "I say we head for food. I'm hungry", he said feeling the rumble in his stomach that hungered for 'people' food not vampire feast.
