Shaden gripped her hand tightly as he led the way through the streets back to his house. It wasn't grand. In fact it was rather simple but Shaden could care less. He had only got it so when he came back here for a chance to see Aubrey he would have a place to stay. He kept glancing at her as they walked until finally they were standing outside his house, which was made of a dark gray stone. There was a walk way up leading up to the front door.
Shaden opened the door (he didn't bother to lock it) and stepped in, and waited for Aubrey to come in before closing the door. They were in the living room. The walls were a light tan and there was one couch facing the fireplace and two chairs that were facing each other across a small coffee table that was placed in front of the couch. There was a door leading into the kitchen and stairs to their left going up to the bedrooms.
Shaden looked at Aubrey "Do you want something to drink?" He asked politely, slightly stepping toward the kitchen, but still holding he hand. He smiled sweetly and waited for her to reply.
(Sorry, I know its a crap post)

Aubrey shook her head and smiled. She didn't want anything to drink. "No, but thank you." She pointed at the fireplace. "Does that work?" She knew that it might sound odd, but you would be surprised at the amount of people who had fireplaces in their homes that didn't work.
She liked his house. It was warm and cozy. She could stay here. Safe and hidden from Xavier. Maybe they could even find some way to fix her nails. She didn't like wearing gloves almost all of the time. She went to him, wrapping her arms around him she pressed her cheek against his chest. Sometimes being shorter than most was good. "It's a very nice house, Shaden."
She looked up at him through honey eyes and smiled. "Well sweetheart. You have little innocent me all tucked away in your secret hide out. Now what?"

Shaden looked were she pointed and nodded "Yeah it works." He said and smiled when she came over to him to place her head against his chest. He wrapped his arms around her tightly and light leaned his cheek on top of he head. "Thank you. Your welcome to use it if you ever get away from Xavier. I wouldn't mind." He really didn't mind, after all, Shaden wasn't even sure how often he'd be here. Massimo would most likely drag him back to NY soon enough. Then the house would be empty until Shaden could get away from Max. And that really wouldn't be hard, it would just take a little bit of planing.
He lifted his head slightly when Aubrey looked up at him. Now what indeed... He thought to himself. Shaden smiled softly "Well I could take you upstairs to check out the bed, and have my way with you." Oh yeah, real romantic. Then again Shaden had never been very romantic at any point in his life. There just wasn't room for it in his crude, and obnoxious brain of his.

She smiled coyly at him. "We'll see how that works out for you." She pulled away from him and started walking toward the stairs. She looked back over her shoulder once as she eased off her coat. It was left abandoned on the steps as she made her way up. There were three bedroom doors at the top. Two on the left and one on the right. She opted for the one on the right.
She had been correct. This was the baster bedroom. It even had a bathroom connected to it. Aubrey walked over to the bed and smiled as she traced the pattern of the coverlet with her gloved finger. She sighed softly. Xavier was going to be furious. She didn't care. It was his own fault. She would stay with Shaden as long as she could.
She would help him kill Massimo. She would get her revenge and help Shaden get out from under him at the same time. For the first time since she had been turned she didn't feel hopeless, lonely, or afraid. There was a large mirror on the left wall. She bit her lip and smiled again a soft blush creeping up to cheeks. What was it with vampires and mirrors?
