Shaden was finally back in London. He'd spent the past night in New Orleans just trying to keep control of himself. It hadn't worked very well. He was still just as mad now as he was before.
He ran home, hoping that Aubrey wouldn't be there. Once inside he went upstairs to his bedroom, grabbed a bag from in the closet and set to packing most of his things. He changed his clothes, and threw the dirty ones away. They were ruined anyway. He still had the rosary on that Aubrey gave him.
Shaden looked around and then put the bag over his shoulder. He slowly walked down stairs and into the living room.
This could very well be the last time he came back here. He didn't know for sure though. But right now he just needed to get away from here. From everyone. Shaden knew where he was going but he wasn't going to tell anyone else where that was. He wouldn't want people coming to look for him.
Maybe he should go hunting before he left...
He dropped his bag and moved to the door, looked around one more time before stepping out into the night. He would need to be quick.
Shaden hadn't been walking long when he found a young women, he smiled to himself and took out a blade. He silently stalked up behind her and put the blade to her throat. "If you scream. I will kill you." He whispered by her ear. Although this was a lie. He would kill her no mater what, just not in the way she thought he would.
He pulled her into the shadows, then wasted no time and bit into her throat. She did scream. But Shaden didn't pay any attention to it. Finally, after after her screams of pain were done, he let her fall to the ground.
He licked his lips and walked back to his house. Inside he sat down for a minute, so he could think about what he was doing. About everything thats happened.

Aubrey leaned against the door frame leading into the kitchen. She had came in thinking he would have been here, he wasn't. But his scent was everywhere. She had decided to wait. He hadn't even noticed her when he came back in. He seemed, distracted. Her brow furrowed into a frown.
She walked slowly over to him. She eyed his packed bag as she knelt down in front of him. She traced his cheek, then lowered her hand. Her heart was swelling up and her throat felt dry. Somehow she felt that this wasn't going to be the reunion she had hoped for. She wanted to be wrong.
"Are you going somewhere Shaden? Were you going to leave without seeing me?" She fought to keep her voice from trembling. She had lost everyone that she had once called family, she wasn't sure if she could handle losing Shaden.
He was going to save her from Xavier. She wasn't sure how, but she knew he would. He would be the only one that could. She needed him here, she needed his love. If he left her she become exactly what Xavier wanted her to be. She bit her lip, fighting back words that where unfair to try and say to him.

Shaden jumped when Aubrey seemed to just suddenly be in front of him. How long had she been there? He looked down at his bag that he knew she had seen. Now how was he going to leave? With her there with him he didn't seem to sure about getting away from here. He opened his mouth to reply but found no words would come.
Shaden stood up and walked away from her, and into the kitchen. He went straight for the fringe and took out a glass bottle that had blood in it. He quickly pulled the top off and took a drink. Then walked back out into the living room.
He looked at Aubrey for awhile before saying anything. Trying to find the right words. The easiest words. "I was planing on going away for awhile..." He sighed, "I was going to come see you before I left." He lied. He looked away from her to hide his eyes. His stupid honest eyes.
The lie was killing him. The bottle slipped from his grasp and fell to the ground. Glass went everywhere and blood covered the floor. He stared down at it. "You didn't have to leave with him you know." He whispered "With Xavier." He added coldly. He didn't want to act this way in front of her but he was too hurt and angry to truly care.

He was lying. He was lying and he was jealous. Aubrey felt like someone had just smacked her across her face. This was going to kill her. She knelt over and started picking up the broken glass. "Yes I did." She pushed past him and tossed the glass into the sink. She couldn't believe this.
She grabbed a towel and went back to the mess. She started mopping it up. Unshed tears where beginning to sting her eyes. She stood up and threw the towel. She growled in frustration. "He would have killed you if I didn't go with him." She kicked the couch. This was exactly what Xavier wanted to happen. This was the only reason that he had been letting her get away with coming and waiting for Shaden.
She looked at Shaden through lost grey eyes. She didn't bother trying to mask her pain. It didn't matter anymore. None of it did. "I would die if he killed you. I would rather steal away as much time as I could with you than have you dead. Then I would never see you." She walked over and picked up his bag. "I'm stuck with Xavier. I can't do anything about that now. I would have chosen to be with you. I chose to love you." She threw the bag at him. It landed in a heap by his feet.
"Obviously none of that matters." She opened the door. She hid her face from him behind it. "So just go. I would hate to keep you." She spit the last out. Her heart was burning. She would become like Xavier now. Cold and heartless. Xavier wins. Aubrey would now be miserable and Shaden could just leave and pick up somewhere else. Everyone gets to move and and be happy but her. Xavier wins.

Shaden stared at her, opened mouthed and shocked. Why did he always have to ruin everything. He couldn't even keep himself together. "Damn it Aubrey!" He yelled. He kicked the bag aside and ran after her, and grabbed her, turned her to face him. "Is it so f*cking wrong of me to want to be away for awhile! I love you Aubrey and I can't stand to see you with Xavier. I can't!" He let go of her and backed away, breathing hard. "I don't want to leave but I how can I be here. So close to you, and not be able to really see you. To talk to you. I would rather die." He whispered.
His hand came up and lightly brushed the rosary around his neck. Then he felt the water coming from his eyes and moving down his cheeks. He was shocked. For the first time in over 200 years he was crying.
He fell to his knees, and hid his face in his hands. If she was going to walk away he didn't want to see it. He would sit here all night. He didn't care. He was an asshole. He had been thinking only about himself and not Aubrey. He hadn't thought about her feelings.
"I'm sorry Aubrey." He whispered softly. He still didn't look up at her. He couldn't.

Aubrey dropped to her knees. She buried her face into his neck. This wasn't what she had expected. Now, she was hurting in a different way. She was being selfish. Why would he stay? She hadn't thought about the way it effected him. She pulled his face up to hers. She kissed his wet cheeks. "I'd stay with you tonight.." She trailed kisses to his forehead. "..I'd stay with you tomorrow.." She kissed down his nose. "...I'd stay with you until he drug me away."
Aubrey pulled at him until he was sitting on his bottom instead of on his knees. She crawled into his lap. She wrapped her legs around his waist and straddled him. "And then I would come back." She pressed her mouth against his. She didn't want him to cry. She really didn't want him to leave, but if he had too she would understand. "I'd wait for you to come back, if you left."
She kissed his neck. She pulled her face away to look at him. She cupped his face in her hands. "I would wait for you to come back, but if you wanted to stay. I might have a plan."

Shaden put his hands over hers. Those last words were enough to make him want to stay. A plan? Sounds fun and interesting. And Shaden had a strong feeling it was about Xavier. And anything that had to do with getting him back was fine with him. He smirked. "What kind of plan?" That was as good as him saying he would stay.
He had planned on going to find an old friend who might have helped Shaden out with Massimo. But that could wait. This was much more important.
His hands moved to her waist and held her tightly, waiting for her answer. Now he was glad he hadn't just left when he got home. Other wise this wouldn't be happening. He wouldn't have got the chance to hold her or feel her sweet lips on his. And her scent. Yes. He would have gone truly insane without it. One hand moved to her back and his fingers slowly moved up and down her back as if counting each vertebra.

Aubrey pressed into him holding him tightly. This could work. She could make him a member of the Black Nail Coven. He could stay with her. She wouldn't have to sneak to see him and Xavier could do nothing about it. She smiled into his neck.
"Let me make you a member of the coven. You would be bonded to me. I would train you. We could be together. The training would be difficult at first, but in the end it would work out in our favor."
Aubrey pulled her face up to his. She caressed his cheek as she kissed him. "Let me bond you to me. Xavier couldn't stop us being together then."

Shadens smiled slowly faded into a firm line on his face. He had no problem with being bonded to her. That was fine. In fact it was more then fine. But... the thought of being a member of that coven. It wasn't a very good thought. He'd never liked them very much and now he was being asked to join them? Could he do it?
But then there was the amusing thought of seeing Xavier's face when Shaden showed up to see him, and he showed him Shaden black nails. Now that would be great. Shaden sighed. He wasn't too sure about this but he nodded.
"Okay Aubrey. I love you so, I guess I'll say yes to this." His smiled returned "make me a member." He kissed her lightly once and then said "I can't wait to see what Xavier says about this after he finds out."

Aubrey laughed and stood up, pulling Shaden to his feet. "Xavier is going to be pissed." She lead him up the stairs and into his bedroom. She shut the door behind them. Leaning against it she smiled at him. Xavier was going to be more than pissed. He was going to be furious. Tomorrow, after Shaden wakes up she could go talk to him.
She could have him give her permission without fully giving it to her. She was pressing her luck, but it was worth a try. She walked toward Shaden and gently pulled his shirt off. "This is going to hurt." She kissed his chest. "You'll probably pass out from the pain." She kissed his shoulders.
Aubrey gently pushed him back onto the bed. She kissed his eyelids. She pushed his hair back away from his eyes. "I'm sorry, for the pain." She pressed her mouth against his neck. I love you. She bit into him. Her fangs slid into his neck. She drank from him. her eyes half closed as the sensation filled her body.
Aubrey winced as she leaked the venom into Shaden. She felt his body tense against hers. She released him. She curled up next to his body. She would try and comfort him the best she could. At least when he woke up she would be there.

Shaden sighed, he'd guess there would be pain but as he felt the first bit of venom seeped into his skin. His hands went into fists as he fought the urge to scream.
Shaden knew pain. He often times loved it. Went out looking for a fight just to feel it and watched his blood flow from his body. Shaden understood what true pain was. he'd felt more of it then anyone could really understand. Not even Xavier could fully understand. Could truly know the kinds of things that Shaden had felt so many times in his life.
But this. This pain was worse. Nothing beat this. He felt like he was on fire. The burning feeling moved slowly through his body. He stopped breathing.
Then as a wave of pain crashed over him, his blue eyes closed. Leaving him in a world of blackness. Of nothingness. He heard nothing. Saw nothing. But still there was a light dull pain that seemed to never leave.
