"Easy for you to say that. You probably had a choice, I didn't." Aubrey was a little agitated at his comment. He didn't know anything about her. Young or not she knew that it was not in her initial plan to spend an eternity living and at the same time not.
She sighed, trying to push away her agitation. Maybe she should take him to meet Xavier. If he met the members of her coven maybe he would understand a little more. She nodded her head. "I can take you, but I can't promise that it will be a warm welcome."

Michael was once like her a 100 years ago. He however came fully embrace his nature. He wasn't given a choice. He was robbed of his humanity, but his vampire life was so much more joyful than his human one. He went wild as a youthful vampire, did horrific things and just laughed at it. To become a god, a god compared to humans atleast. "I like you did not have a choice. I was stolen from the human race and became something much more than I once lost. I choose to fully embrace what I have become and by doing so, I destroyed the conflict that had plagued me ever since I grew fangs. All I am saying is that an eternity is a long time to live with internal conflict.
She would take him to meet the others. Oh how he wanted that. To come face to face with the tyrant Xavier. "Not a warm welcome? I can handle it" Michael said in an arrogant tone. There were two sides to Michael. One was sweet and loving, a trait you wouldn't expect to find in many vampires. The other was a vein and cynical vampire who had all the ambition in the world. Maybe this coven would humble him.

Aubrey couldn't do anything but shake her head at him. he had no idea, but he would soon enough. "I hope you can handle it, because if not, they might rip you to shreds." Aubrey was afraid that their light conversation was over. Now it was all business, but when was it not?
She pulled out a cigarette and put it between her lips. She lit it and inhaled slowly. Colette had started Aubrey on smoking. she used to tease her and say it would kill her, now she had nothing to worry about.
She looked him over carefully. Xavier would be pleased with her for bringing in a new recruit, if he exceeded expectations. She offered him the box. "Would you like one?"

Michael saw Aubreys reaction to his arrogant attitude on the subject. Could the coven really be that bad? He had seen many evil things in his life. He was alive for the rise and fall of many tyrants. Human tyrants though, for every evil human there is a diabolical vampire. He had heard the stories since arriving in town. A vampire massacred many citizens. If Xavier was the man who did this then Michael would not get along with him.
He saw Aubrey take out a cigarette. It had been so long since Michael had one. Right now he was dying for one. He could not explain it, like his personality and ways were changing in an instant. She offered him one, holding out the box. He slowly took one from the box "Its not like I'm going to get cancer is it" He had been addicted in his humanity. Now that his body was "dead" there was nothing it could do. One of the many perks of being a vampire.
He put it between his lips, then he leaned over for Aubrey to light it.

She chuckled lightly as she lit his cigarette. She tucked the box and the lighter back into her pockets. A low sigh escaped her lips. She wasn't sure if taking him to meet the Black Nail Coven was such a good idea. She would though, if he insisted. What was the harm in a little introduction?
"Are you sure that you want to meet them Michael?" She watched his face carefully. The black nail coven members were not to be taken lightly. Aubrey was nice enough when the occasion rose for it, but she was just as cruel as any other member.
Xavier and Sevanni were a completely different ball park. Their actions made everyone else look like little kittens. Aubrey hoped that Michael knew what he was about to get into.

The doubt in Aubreys eyes burned like a fire. She didn't want to take him. Michael was 208 years old he could handle it. He recalled his time as a younger vampire. How he would kill his victims and throw them in the street, like he was a rebel.. He could hear the words they spoke of him right now. He's a monster, an agent of evil. It gave him great pleasure. But he only ever fed on his victims, he never just murdered a human for the fun of it. Only fools did that.
"Am I sure? My dear girl you may just find out in time that I'm not as innocent as I appear" He said with a quiet yet sinister laugh. He was a morale character, not all of his actions were just but he firmly believed in them, he was very self righteous.
He then placed both of his hands on Aubreys shoulders and said "Don't worry I'll be fine. I promise" He didn't want her to feel a need to protect him. That wasn't very benificial to him.

Aubrey sighed heavily. Fine. If he was so sure of himself she would take him. She pulled away from his touch. She didn't need him to patronize her. She tossed the cigarette to the ground and pulled out her cell phone.
After a few rings she hung it up. She wouldn't call and tell them she was coming, they might not agree to see him. Maybe she could persuade him to meet them all somewhere. She looked at him.
"Give me your number. I will round up as many of the coven as I can and get them all at one location. I'll call you and tell you where to meet us. Does that work out well for you?"
She smiled at him. he really had no choice.

She pulled away from him. That made a smug grin appear on his face. It looked like she was going to take him to the coven finally. When he saw her pick up her cell, he quickly tossed the cigarette to the side, in excitement of meeting the coven.
His eyebrows dropped hastily and he looked rather shocked. It did look at bit to good to be true going just like that. Apparently it was to good to be true. He lifted his hand to his face and began rubbing his eyes, he has always been inpatient.
She proposed a new offer. The girl must not have wanted him to meet this Xavier. She was most likely trying to protect him. This irritated him but he had to appreciate it. The new deal sounded as good anyway. He leaned in and whispered his number into her ear. As he slowly pulled back he jokingly said "You never know who could be listening. Things looked good right now, he just hoped the meeting would be soon.
