Night had just fallen on the streets of London. The wind blew mildly and the moon shined brightly. There were not many people on the street. Quite strange for such an early time.
One man stood out in the street, that was Michael. He walked along the streets dressed in black, his long hair blowing slightly in the air. He walked the streets in an arrogant fashion, like he was the only vampire on the planet. He knew this wasn't true of course, but not seeing any vampires in years sure made him feel it.
Michael had a feeling that there were many vampires here. He couldn't explain it, but he wasn't alone. Michael was getting lonely, he could have any mortal woman he pleased. Being a vampire gave you something that made you irresistible to lower life forms like humans.
Being a vampire was like being a rock star and all the human race were your groupies. However Michael had been feeling an emptiness recently, an emptiness he hadn't felt since he was human. He wanted to meet other vampires, it was hard to believe but he has been a vampire for around 200 years now and has yet to have any extended interaction with any other vampire.
The need to meet other dark ones had actually brought Michael to this place. Perhaps his search had finally come to an end.

Aubrey walked quickly across the corner. After dark fall, London's streets had been relatively quiet as of late. Everyone was terrified after Xavier's massacre. Aubrey didn't blame them. Xavier had frightened himself. She shivered with the memory. Xavier had terrified her.
She noticed a lone figure walking along the opposite side of the street. Vampire. No doubt about that and he was older. She smiled. Aubrey liked being around older vampires because they thought that they were all better than the younger ones. That wasn't true.
Xavier had given her a great strength and a great sense of power. She was barely a year old and more powerful that most. She laughed. She could care less about the power. Hell, she could care less about being a vampire. She was one though, as much as she might despise it and she might as well make the most of it.
She called out to him. "hello!" She waved her hands. She wouldn't just approach him. She didn't know if he would find that to be hostile. She waited patiently for his reaction.

Michael continued walking along the road, enjoying the peace and quiet of the streets. Then suddenly "HELLO" Michael' eyes widened and he quickly looked over to where the voice came from. He saw a beautiful woman, she was most certainly a vampire. She had that allure only vampires had. Michael smiled and laughed with joy and shock. He came here looking for vampires and one found him. He was right about this place and maybe there were more vampires here, that didn't concern him right now, he was happy enough just to meet one. "Wait there I'll be right over" Michael said while giving a friendly wave, he didn't want her to think he was hostile.
He quickly ran across the street to get to her. While making his way over he was very nervous, this would be the first time he has ever talked to a vampire since his sire left him nearly two centuries before. Michael had reached her, he was standing only inches away. He was showing obvious signs of nervousness, he took in a deep breath before finally speaking "Hello there madam" He spoke with a mix of an upper class English accent and a New York accent.
Michael was smiling happily, she really was a vampire. He didn't even think of how stunningly beautiful she was, that just showed how overwhelmingly happy he was just to meet another dark one. "My name is Michael and it is very nice to meet you. You are?" Michael said eagerly awaiting a response.

Finally. Aubrey sighed a breath of relief. Michael seemed very pleasant. She was expecting a mixture of Sevanni and Xavier. She would have to remember to tell Blake that he was not allowed to go parading about being arrogant. She didn't think he would, but she would say it anyway.
"I'm Aubrey Mayor." She laughed at his nervousness. He seemed as though he had been hidden away from the world. "It is very nice to meet you. Did you only just arrive in London?"

Michael was happily surprised by Aubreys positive attitude. She looked and sounded quite friendly. She didn't make him feel embarrassed by his nervous behavior, infact her smile and laugh gave him quite a confidence boost. It was about this time that he noticed her divine beauty. Also she was very young. Michael did not care about that at all, she seemed very powerful to him.
She asked him if he had only just arrived in London "Yes, I came here just a few hours ago from Spain" Michael had been to just about every continent on the planet looking for Vampires. "I came here looking for something very special, but it looks like that special something has found me" Michael said with a smile.

Aubrey blushed and looked away shyly. She wasn't special, she wished that everyone would stop thinking that she was. She picked at a rock on the ground with the toe of her ballet shoes. She looked up and met his eyes. She smiled.
"Spain is absolutely wonderful. I used to love to go. The weather this time of year is amazing." She put her hands into the pocket of her coat. "London is full of special things. There is alot of interesting things to do." She looked around and laughed. "Even though it doesn't look like it at the moment."
No. All of London was humming with the on coming war between the Weres and Vampires. Even the humans seemed to have gotten the gist that something was happening. Xavier had pretty much eliminated the problem of strolling around freely though. "What exactly are you looking for Michael?"

Michael was smiling, listening intently to her words, he liked her voice and wanted to hear it as much as possible. Laughing lightly at how she summarised London. If the streets were like this everyday he might stay for a while, or maybe another reason would cause him to stay. When her eyes met his, he was in aww. They were the most beautiful pair of eyes he had ever gazed upon. His eyes were icy white, he never really thought of how they looked to others.
When she looked around the streets, she seemed sad. Maybe it was because of how quiet they actually were. He couldn't for the death of him figure out why the streets were like that. It was as if the city was dead. He had his arms crossed and he was breathing rather heavily, strange, he didn't need to breathe. It was the excitement of talking to her, he didn't know if he would ever see her again so he wanted this moment to go perfectly.
"I came here looking for vampires. You may find this hard to believe but I have not seen a fellow vampire in over 100 years" Even Michael found that hard to believe himself.

Aubrey observed his features slowly. She wasn't embarrassed for him to know that she was studying him. It was a flaw that she had picked up from Kade. He was always watching people's expressions. She was very interested in his eyes.
"A hundred years? That is a very long time to not have any contact with your own kind." She smiled and stepped closer. She wanted him to know that she didn't feel threatened by him and that she was being friendly. "Why have you not had any contact for so long?"

Michael was smiling just enough to show his fangs. As she stepped closer he felt a warmth but his body was still ice cold. He liked how she was studying him, she took an interest in him and it was a nice feeling. It really had been a long time, so long it made him unique. He had much to learn and she was teaching him a lesson.
She was close enough to Michael that he could smell her, she had a lovely scent. It was very compelling. It was obvious what he was doing, he didn't know if she would mind but it was an instinct, it felt right. She asked him why he had not had any contact, not an easy question for him to answer. He looked her up and down before giving an answer "Its a mystery I have not been able to solve until tonight" Michael then gave a satisfied smile.

A warm smile spread over her face. "That is a very vague answer Michael." Aubrey could think of many reasons why she would like to get out from people and be reclusive for a few decades. She would want to take someone with her, so it didn't count.
She allowed him to take her in. If she was going to carefully study his features and he allow it, then she could allow him to absorb her scent. "Well, I hope that you find that certain something special. A hundred years is a long time."

A slightly arrogant laugh made its way to the surface. He didn't want to be rude, he just heard what he said to her and it caused him to laugh. Maybe it wasn't that no vampires appeared to him. Maybe he just didn't want to meet any. He had done many cruel things over the past 100 years and maybe he didn't want to meet someone who could be just as viscous.
He turned away quickly and crossed his arms. He stuttered a few times before he finally spoke "I have spent so many years wandering the Earth in search of vampires but I was always afraid to approach them. I feared the unknown" Michael said with his head facing the floor in shame of himself.

The wind lightly whipped strands of her hair over her face. She brushed them away. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. There are alot of things that I fear, just because i am not familiar with it."
She shot him a charming smile. "Not all vampires are so bad." She laughed. That statement might not serve to be true here. Some of the most sadistic vampires seemed to be taking up place in London and she belonged to one of the most notorious covens.

The shame Michael was feeling was nurtured by her kind words. It gave him strength to face her and look her in the eyes. He was here in London now and he was seeking out vampires, he was coming to grips with his fears.
He shook his head, causing his hair to go wild. Maybe he needs a hair cut, he thought to himself. "Not all Vampires are bad?" He sounded like a child when he said that. "There is something about you. It is asif you are trapped. Like you crave freedom. Care to talk about it" Michael was interested.

Aubrey watched him with careful eyes. She was trapped-as was he. They were all stuck in the same hell and they would never really be free of it. She chuckled lightly. "I'm no more trapped than you are." She smiled at him, but it had lost some of it's light.
Aubrey was trapped in a way different from him. She was bound to Xavier and would never be able to be free of him. She could never truly be with Shaden-or anyone else. What was even more unsettling for her is that she couldn't say that she was one hundred percent sure she wanted to be rid of him.
She sighed softly and looked around the deserted streets. "We're all trapped. That is our tragedy."

Michael couldn't help but disagree with her words. Michael loved being a vampire, for the obvious reasons, being strong, powerful and beautiful. However he had nothing else but those things. He had been a free spirit for so long, but now he wanted to be amongst his kind. In no way did he want to be ruled, his ambition was too ravanous and his soul to proud. This girl looked like she was a slave in her mind. "Its not our tragedy. It is your personal prison. But you are young, you have all of eternity ahead of you. You alone hold the key to the door of your prison. Its up to you to unlock it"
He had a question he wanted to ask, but he was shy about it. He had his hand in his pockets, looking left and right, like he didn't want to ask the question but wanted the answer. He wanted the answer so badly it gave him butterflies for the first time in his undead life "Could you take me to these vampires" Would she tell a stranger?
