The sun set quickly past the dunes and left the desolate land covered by a bright white moon. Niara couldn’t wait to stretch her legs. She had put on a loose skirt of a dark brown, and a white tanktop. Perfect for running. Stretching her limbs she loosened up her tight muscles and then took off. The gold anklet of bells around her ankle kept a perfect rhythm for her to run to. She was running fast, faster than any human could run, but she didn’t care if anyone saw her.
The wind against her hair and the warm sand beneath her bare feet made her growl happily as she through her cares to the wind. She was a young girl again, before anything hurt her, before she had the troubles of being ageless. Her emerald eyes scanned the land before her; she was completely relaxed in her own territory of dunes.

The first thought on Roland’s mind was that the whole purpose of going to Egypt was to relax. Get away from the business and deals. Just have some time to himself. But as he ignored phone call after phone call he began to get reckless. He hadn’t even been in an argument in a week let alone a real fight worth mentioning.
He decided that it was time to find some fun, but first he wanted to go for run. He found a nice place secluded from people where he could transform and break loose. As he was running he smelled another person. As he watched her run he realized that she had to be a vamp. Wanting to have some fun, he decided to transform back into a human before making her acquaintance. He decided the fun thing to do would be to catch up behind her and give her hair a quick tug. He chuckled to himself as he pulled on a small piece of her hair

She smelt him on the wind before she felt him. The stink of a beast lurking nearby. A tug on her hair sent her moments of relaxation off on the wind. She instinctively turned and lashed out. Niara hadn’t eaten a person in two weeks, and her instincts were not yet completely controlled. She was trying to lull them down before she took her trip to America the following week. Eyes flashing a dangerous and vibrant green, she snarled, “What the f*ck!”

Roland saw he lash out and instinctively stepped backwards out of reach. This motion caused him to stumble slightly, but he caught himself almost instantaneously. “What the f*ck!” she snarled at him. All Roland could do was chuckle to himself “Damn, feisty aren’t we now??” He said, knowing that he had already crossed the line, but there was no way that he could make friends with her anyways. So he decided to make the best of his predicament and milk it for all the fun he could before the fight got a little more serious. “Hey, I’m sorry. I really was just trying to have a little fun.” Knowing that it wasn’t going to end well he held out his hand. “My names Roland.”

Niara’s eyes turned to slits and she growled instinctively. “I don’t like being touched by any of your kind.” She glanced at his hand wondering if he was really playing nice or just thought she was stupid. “I don’t find my hair being tugged is quite fun either.” She chose to ignore the introduction and took a few steps back from him, trying to gain control over her senses before she went too far and attacked him. She was trying to learn how to be civil but this guy wasn’t helping her. She looked from his hand to his face and took in a deep breath of air.

“I don’t like being touched by any of your kind.” she scolds. oops he thinks to himself she’s one of those. He pulls his hand away… ”I’m Roland, my friends call me Rho.” “I don’t find my hair being tugged is quite fun either.” He could see that she could care less about who he was. It also amused that she was trying soo hard to keep herself in control. It was these types of vamps that killed him, the ones that took the war soo seriously. Obviously vamps were the most fun to fight, but they were just another way blow off steam. “This would be time when you either tell me to screw off and we go our separate ways, or else tell me your name.” He said coolly. “I’m sorry I pulled your hair, maybe we could start off on better terms.” one more time he thought to himself as he held out his hand again. “My name is Roland, I’m a pisces and I usually live in New York, when I’m not trying to escape the world.”

Niara didn’t take her hand but she bit her lip slightly then muttered, “I’m Niara.” That was all she could manage before bitting her lip again to keep herself from saying anything more. Breathing slowly she regained control, “I live here.” She bit her lip after she said this then after a few more breaths added. “What are you doing in Egypt then?” She tried to sound polite but it sounded more like she was uninterested, or bored. Her wishy-washy tone sounded dry, even to her and she tried to to swallow down to horrid smells that were admitted from this beast.

I’m Niara.” She responded in a low mutter. She had a sweet voice even though it seemed obvious to Roland that she was far from letting her guard down. Okay, well at least we’ve got a name Rho thinks to himself, managing to stifle a chuckle. At this point her genuinely didn’t want to start any trouble. Something seemed, intriguing about this vampire. He couldn’t explain why. He noticed some of the tension easing out of her as she added. “I live here.” He watched as she took a few more breaths, feeling her ease up a little more. “What are you doing in Egypt then?” He ignored her tone sensing that there was more sincerity in her question than it sounded.
“….I’m taking a little vacation. There are some stressors back home that I needed to escape, so I figured the pyramids would be a good place to clear my head. Also, usually there is no one here in the desert so it’s a great place to run.” He realized that this answer might have been more open than he should have given, considering the fact that she was still rather distant, and irritated at him. He figured he’d try a different approach “Hey, sorry I bothered you. I really was just trying to have some fun.” He turned on his heels hoping for some kind of a response.

“Try not to do it again.” Niara growled in return. She knew she would regret it later, but she didn’t mind right now, watching him walk away. She turned on her heel and took off. She was frustrated that she had lost a few minutes of running time, so she tried to pick up the pace this time around. Letting the wind calm her nerves she tried to relax once more.
[[sorry hun I think I'm just gonna end it here, since they're gonna get round two at the ball.]]
