The night was young. It was right after the sun said it's goodbyes to the eastern hemisphere and dropped in the sky. They had no time to waste and he didn't want to be caught again. James waited for Litte in the street adjacent the shack they slept in last night.
He was wide eyed and bushy tailed, he hoped Litte wasn't too groggy. It seemed like she slept soundly last night even with his tossing. He would have to get her to give him a belly rub later. He missed those! Right now he wore just a simple pair of jeans. No point in taking a shirt with him. It would be interesting to see how Litte would react to this.
James paced back and forth. A habit he wanted to be rid of. He was nervous. What it she really hated this? It was undoubtedly dangerous, but it was a game for him. He loved hunting and chasing big animals down. She didn't say she didn't like the rabbit blood. Well she didn't say anything about it, actually. All he could do was hope she trusted him enough by now. His new girlfriend.

Litte was on her back and staring at the ceiling of the shack when she opened her eyes. She groaned slightly and felt her stiff limbs trying to stretch. So she sat up and and reached towards the ceiling and listened to her joints pop. It felt good and she smiled.
Then she was slammed back into the present. She looked around the shack and tried to piece everything back together. Her mind was jumbled but it took only a few seconds to remember yesterday. Especially James. And even the thought of him brought a blush to her cheeks. She shook her head and stood up.
She couldnt see him anywhere and she thought that he might have left. And maybe she had dreamed him up. But when she went outside she noticed him across the way with no shirt, and her cheeks that had been slightly pink were now apple red. But she walked over to him anyway.

She was blushing again. How much more adorable could she possibly get? If he was going to date her, he hoped the shyness she displayed when she saw him shirtless would vanish soon. He was going to be shirtless a lot. James waited for her to stand beside him. He could see her clearly now. She did still look awfully tired. Good thing he made her sleep when he did.
"Good... night? I don't think it's evening anymore," he chuckled, "Right. So since we have no time to waste tonight, you can decide. Do you want to ride on my back to get to the woods fast or do you want to run yourself?" he asked.

Litte's cheeks went back to being pale again and she knew she had to get a grip on that blushing. She couldnt always be blushing around him even though she felt like it would never go away. He was so gorgeous and she couldnt believe he was hers. Actually hers.
So in a moment of slight weaness she walked over to him and hugged him tightly. She even smirked slightly when she felt his bare chest against her cheek. She then broke away from him and said, "I think Ill run." She didnt really want to get there any faster. And her limbs were still stiff.

James accepted the hug and then leaned down and kissed her softly. A peck, but he was just showing his gratitude. He didn't have any objections to her running on her own. Of course, if he wanted to keep up with her it would have to be as a wolf.
James gave her a small smile and then changed his form. He grabbed his pants, and took off running. She would be right behind him, he was positive of it. If she were a wolf also he would have raced her, but wolf's were just faster than vamps so it would be unfair.
James didn't stop his dead run until he reached the land of the trees. He stopped in a clearing and shifted back to human and pulled his pants on. He waited for Litte.

Litte was frozen in place from him kissing her. It was a fast and soft one and only a peck but it was still a kiss. She hadnt been expecting that either so it shocked her. Her face didnt even have time to redden before she had to snap out of it and race after him.
He had changed so quickly and bolted off that she was afraid she would loose him. He was so much faster then her and she had to run at full speed to just keep him in view. But she didnt have a problem with that. She loved running and the feel of the wind wipping through her face and hair. It was an amazing feeling.
But as she saw the forest she was ill at ease. She knew this wasnt just a fun trip for them. Not even a date. This was a training session and she wasnt sure if she could pass. Just the thought of bears made her even more pale. But she saw him there and she stopped in front of him and smiled.

James thought about his lesson plans. The deer would be easy. The bear was a whole different story. He would just have to teach her the way Gavin taught him. It would be very painful on his account, but hopefully not Litte's. James wasted no time.
"Go get me a rabbit," he instructed. This was a test from the previous night. He wanted to see if she could do it herself. Rabbit blood was probably the worst tasting out of all three of the designated animals. He preferred deer, bear, and then rabbit. Fish was pretty good, too, but Litte couldn't drink that type of blood.
Litte had to get used to the taste of animal blood. He knew this would be very difficult, but he had faith in her.

Litte panted slightly to catch her breath and then he told her to catch a rabbit. She sighed and then crouched down like she had seen him do the other day. She knew she would have to crawl slightly and so she got down even further and tried to sense where a rabbit was hidden.
She could finally smell one and she held back a smile and laugh. She inched her way towards it to try and stay quiet. She wasnt normally quiet for this long and it was killing her to say something. But she wouldnt. And when she saw the rabbit she jumped.
She felt herself land on the poor little thing and her weight alone must have crushed it because it stopped moving and she could smell it was dead. She moved and looked at it and said, "Oops..." She then picked up the rabbit gently and handed it to James.

James took the furry critter in his hands. He beamed at Litte and chortled. She didn't know her own strength! What a strange vampire indeed. James sniffed the rabbit over. She caught a nice and healthy one. A wolf has to watch out for disease, but vampires didn't have to worry about such things. James ripped a tick off of the rabbit's stomach.
"Well I don't know how you feel about drinking cold blood, but I'd like you to try it. Go catch another if you want it warm," he advised. Litte was learning fast, but there were still some flaws. She threw herself on the rabbit when she could have just reached out and grabbed it. He ate his food dead but he bet she would want it living.

Litte looked at him and sighed. She figured she had done something wrong but when he seemed pleased that lifted the guilt a little bit. She hadnt ment to kill the thing. She shuffled her feet slightly and then looked at James again. "I guess I should have just reached out huh?" But she didnt need an answer. She knew that was what she should have done. It was plain to see she had messed up.
And he was right. She liked warm blood better then cold blood. She didnt like blood that was from a dead thing already. She had a strict rule to stay away from cold, dead blood. So she nodded and then went back to the undergrowth to catch another one. It didnt take her long to smell it so she inched her way there again and when she saw instead of jumping this time she reached out and snatched it up.
The rabbit squirmed in her grip and she realized it was in pain because she was holding it by the ears to tight. She looked at it sadly and said, "Sorry." Then she sat down and bit into its neck. The warmth was nice but the blood was not as sweet as she liked. She hoped other animals would taste better.
((sorry. Testing out colors XD.))

(( Oh wow, for a second I thought I went color blind! ))
James didn't respond to her words. They both knew what he would say. But she was just a beginner, she would get the hang of it eventually. He recognized the face she made when she drank the blood. It was disgust. But she had to get used to it. If she went on a killing spree then James couldn't kill her, he loved her, he would punish her, though.
"Ok, it looks like you're a pro at catching rabbits. You got the scent down and you can now probably familiarize what they sound like. Next we'll move onto deer. I think you'll like them a lot better. Watch me carefully and then you try. I suggest you go after a female first. Antlers can hurt... trust me, I've broken enough ribs to know. I will have to do this as a wolf,"
James became a wolf for the second time today. He picked up a paw and motioned for Litte to follow him. James kept his body low to the ground, inching forward on his front paws, his doggy butt in the air, tail swooshing. He knew the scent of deer well. It was at least five minutes before he spotted one drinking water from a brook.
James stayed hidden behind a tree. That was the key, staying hidden. He waited until the deer, a female, lowered her head for another drink before he let loose a roar, leaped, and secured his paws on it''s back. The howl had frightened the deer, but what surprised it even more was a wolf clutching onto it's back. James brought it to the ground and tore it up with his teeth and claws. In minutes its heart stopped beating.
James woofed a mission accomplished and changed back to human. He wiped the blood from his mouth and hands. This one was easy. He turned to Litte and hoped he didn't freak her out too much.

((haha. I wont then XD))
Litte looked back up at him as she finished the rabbit. She wiped the blood away from her lips and watched him quietly and with interest. She wondered what was on his mind at the moment. He seemed to be tinking about something and she couldnt help but think of two things at the same time. How much she really did love him and how much she wanted to take down a human.
But she wasnt going to kill a human. She just wouldnt. One, she didnt want to die. And two, he would be so upset with her. And she was sure he wouldnt hesitate to hurt and kill her if she did kill someone. Thats what the whole point of the hunting was for. The training and the rabbits. It was to make sure she would be a good little vampire.
And she turned excited when he said they could go after something different now. Her mind briefly thought about the bear and she silently gulped hoping that wasnt next and to her relief it wasnt. She nodded though when he said only females. She wasnt sure she could take down a female let alone a buck with antlers. She was very doubtful, but she got up and followed him when he changed.
She laughed to herself when she saw his tail wagging in the air and shaking. He was so very cute. And it didnt take him long to find the dear. She wondered what he would do and then he let out a loud noise and sprang after the deer. It didnt take him long to hurl the thing to the ground and rip it to shreds.
She blinked in slight horror at the sight. She had never seen an animal ripped apart. And that poor thing had done nothing. But she tried hiding her fear as he changed back. And that wasnt hard. She kept forgetting he was nude whenever he changed back. She cleared her throat and lowered her eyes to the ground, her cheeks redder then can be. She hoped he had no plans of hugging her. She would die.

(( HAHAH! I like that last part in your post ))
James just knew what she was thinking. Well if she was going to date a werewolf then she had to get used to it. He couldn't help it and the demonstration was necessary. But he would change back into a wolf after he spoke to her, that way if she got in any trouble with the deer he could help her out.
"Ok Litte, here's what you do: since you're not a wolf, you won't be attacking it the same as I did. Even wolf's have different methods of hunting. I just showed you mine and I would suggest you do the same for now. If you put enough weight on the deer, it will fall, then go for it's neck. Watch out for it's back legs, they're kickers. Maybe try tackling it from the side first and then get on top of it. I smell another deer near here now. I'll follow you," James became a silver wolf again and waited until she was ready.

(( Ya. I couldnt help but put that in there XD))
Litte kept her gaze on the floor as he talked to her. Still changed in human form of course. She ran her fingers through her hair and tried to listen to what he was saying. Something about methods of hunting and taking it down from the side. At leaste she hoped that was what he said. If not...she was in trouble. Because now it was her turn.
She knew he had changed back into wolf form and looked at him with red cheeks still. She really needed to learn to control that blushing and get used to his changes. She figured with time she would. At least..she hoped she would. And she set that as her next goal.
She followed him though as he led her to another deer. She was nervous though and glanced at him. She tried to remember how he had done it. She swallowed and walked forward slightly and then crouched down. She inched her way towards it and then realized there was a stick a moment before she stepped on it.
It snapped and she cursed quietly. The deer heard and she bolted. But Litte wasnt going to give up. She got up and chased after it and caught up easily. She then tackled it from the side and they both landed on the ground. She put all of her weight on the deer and made sure to watch out for the legs. But one got her in the arm and she winced slightly. She then bit into the deers neck.

James bowed his head in a reassuring nod. He followed Litte. She looked quite nervous. When she approached the deer he hung back, luminescent big brown wolf eyes watching her carefully. She looked ok up until the twig. James ran after her, keeping his distance at the same time. James' eyes flickered when the deer got her in the arm. Ouch. That's how he'd broken bones. Legs and antlers. Otherwise deer were pretty easy.
Satisfaction spread across James' furry face when she got her teeth into it. James could already see the deer stop thrashing. He would probably guess that this tasted a lot better than the rabbit. Maybe this could change her mind a little about animal blood. James certainly enjoyed the meat.
Before Litte could turn back, James bounded back to where he left his pants. He wanted her to pay attention to the lesson on the bear. It was really important she did. Sprinting back, he took a springing leap as a wolf and landed in a squat as a human. He yanked the jeans on and went behind Litte.
"What do you think?"
