Arielle smiled as she watched the stars emerge into the inky blue sky. Osiris, her dog, nudged her to move over and let his massive for drop beside her. She laughed aloud. Osiris was afraid of the dark. She scooted over on the soft blanket she had brought out with her. After the terrible morning and then hard work at her own home she had been exhausted and fallen asleep. When she woke up she decided to bring Osiris to the park. She prepared them a small picnic basket and grabbed for books and play toys. Two hours later here they sat. Osiris had intently played with other animals and people while she read, but as the sun started to set everyone mostly had left. Now that the sun was gone Osiris cowered with his pet. Arielle patted his head and kissed his nose. She looked around. kaden had said that he would come, but something inside of her told her not to wait very long for it. He was not coming for her. She rolled to her stomach and watched through the trees. Maybe someone else would come.
