Adam Vagus sat at his reserved table in The Avalon's Spider Club. It was one of the VIP booths over looking the dance floor and it was reserved for him every Wednesday night. It helped to be the owner of the place. Ever since retaking leadership of Blackwell Adam had used The Avalon as a secondary headquarters much like the mob used restaurants. He would often hold court here, mostly accepting new wolves into the pack.
Adam was 6' 3" tall, dark haired and blue eyed, he wore his normal attire, a polo shirt and blue jeans. Despite his well groomed appearance his clothes were eternally rumpled. It had kinda become his trademark the wrinkled clothes had. He had sitting before him a plate of BBQ wings and a tall glass of root beer. These he had been slowly eating while reading the Wall Street Journal. Things were looking bad but it didn't really matter for his business. There were always Third World businessmen and government leaders who needed armored cars. No, this would only help bring more wolves to him. Hopefully he'd get back more than he lost with his and Landon's leaving.

Unsure of what exactly convinced her to come to such a place, Alabaster sighed softly. It hadn't taken any effort to get into the club, except having to show her identification. Sure she was only 5' but she didn't look like a child. The bouncer was just lucky that he still had his limbs. She was in a good mood today so hopefully, for everyone else, they would all leave with limbs intact. Having heard from a friend that if she was looking for a place to 'fit in' this would be it. Not exactly sure what was meant by that her curiosity got the best of her and there she was in the middle of the dance floor. Not so much dancing, as trying to get to the bar.
After a lot of shoving and elbowing, Alabaster finally made it over to the bar. Glaring at a blond girl with way too much make up on, he took a seat. The bar tenders seemed to be busy and it was difficult to grab one of their attention. Becoming increasingly agitated she reached over the bar, grabbing the nearest tenders shirt. "I'm looking for the owner!" She had to raise her voice a little over the music and apparently it wasn't good enough. The man only looked at her confused and apparently angry "I said, I'm looking for the owner. Now you can tell me of I can choke you with your shirt and cut out your lungs!"
Quickly enough the man pointed to the VIP section and Alabaster couldn't help but smile. "Thank you!" An all too innocent smile tugged at the edges of her lips. In something of a skip she made her way to the VIP section, not bothering to care about the signs. "Hey you!" Pointing at the man who she assumed to be the owner. "Adam ..Adam..." She couldn't remember his last name. Standing there in her petite white skirt and white spaghetti strap shirt, she waited for him to notice her, tapping her black combat boots against the floor.

Adam finished off his wings and his root beer and motioned to the waitress for a refill. He had his fill of food but always seemed ta be thirsty so he made it a habit ta always have a full glass of either water or root beer, preferably the latter, by him. As he waited for the refill he smelled a new scent coming near him. It was a wolf, one he had never smelled before. He immediately spotted her as she grabbed the barkeep. He was about to notify security when she let him go and walked up to the stairs.
He noticed when she walked up to stand next to his table, he could notice everything without really looking. He sat there reading his paper, letting her wait. He wanted to see how she would react and if she thought she could manhandle him like she did the barkeep she was going ta be in for the shock of a lifetime. No one messed with Adam Vagus and those that did learned not to the hard way. Adam was a fighter and was good at it too, he knew how to fight and win.

Nose scrunching up a little, Alabaster took notice that this man was a wolf. It hadn't really caught her attention at first because she wasn't expecting him to be and the smells of the other people in the club was distracting her. So that's what her friend meant by 'fitting it'.
Putting that thought aside she noticed something even more agitating. Clearly he was ignoring her. The bastard. She almost pouted, not liking being ignored one bit. Instead of pouting though she thought up and even better plan. Smiling deviously she would reach out and grab the nearest person, some guy who apparently had too much to drink. As an owner of a club it wouldn't look too good if people started dieing in it.
Sliding her hands around the mans neck, she giggled a little. The man just looked at her like she was utterly insane. Just as he was about to argue she whispered in his ear, standing o her tip toes."Good night." There was an audible crunch as she broke the mans neck. "Oops." And there was that innocent smile of hers again. For now they were at least still in the VIP section so nobody would have really noticed. Most would probably look at the guy and think he was just passed out. "Soooo...now are you going to pay attention to me....or am I going to have to kill a few more . Because I am pretty hungry and I think a few humans...Oh and that werewolf over there..." She pointed towards a guy on the dace floor. "He looks tasty." Giggling again she would poke at the body, now laying lifeless next to her, with her toe.

Adam growled over Ala killing an innocent man not only in his club but also right in front of him. So the woman wanted his attention huh? Well now she got it, Adam glared daggers at her and folded his paper up before talking. "There are better ways to get my attention woman, however you got it now so you have 5 seconds to state your business before leaving and never coming back. I am not an easily angered man however the deliberate murder of innocent people is something I do not condone. Your five seconds begin now."
He sat there, arms folded over his chest, and waited for her to speak, ready for anything. If she so much as moved in a way he didn't like she'd find herself lying on the floor with a broken jaw. Adam wasn't in the mood for such shit. But then, she did interest him in a certain way. If she played her cards right she may find herself with a certain job. But then it was all dependent on how forgiving Adam was willing to be and at the moment he wasn't in much of a forgiving mood.

Smiling brightly, Alabaster's eyes lit up as she stared at Adam. She had his attention now and that's all she had wanted. His words did not bother her and it would be rare that she would heed any words of wisdom, seeing as she rarely thought before she acted when it came to such trivial matter. For a moment she looked to the man on the floor and shrugged her shoulders. He had not mattered to her and he obviously wasn't a wolf so why did he matter at all. "Oh well.."
Again a bright smile would spread across her face as she skipped the few feet towards Adam. Sure she was a tom boy most of the time, but for whatever reason she felt a bit goofy today. Making sure to keep her hands visible to the man, Alabaster would flop herself right onto his lap. Five seconds wasn't a lot of time so she would have to get to the point. "My name is Alabaster. You can call me Ala, or Doki. I'm a werewolf. You're obviously a werewolf. And I need a pack. I fight well and can be a bit umm eccentric. When that happens I go on frenzies where I attempt to eat anyone in my path. Werewolves are crunchy so I don't particularly like the taste, but I wouldn't try to eat you. Unless you piss me off."
She was almost like a little kid, the way she swung her legs while she sat. "Hmm, I like football, the beach, and anything with sugar in it." Tapping her chin, she attempted to rule out anything she might have missed. "I'm bi-polar and my other side is kind of boring. She doesn't like to play at all. Oh! That guy that I killed was slipping drugs into women's drinks, so he wasn't as innocent as you might think."

Adam watched her intently as she walked up to him and sat down on his lap. Despite himself her found his arms wrapping around her, holding her against him. What could he say? She was a cutie and he was a womanizer. He listened intently as she spoke and had to admit that she was something else entirely. He had never met a woman like her and he had been with plenty in his lifetime.
"So you have a keen eye huh?" he didn't really believe what she had said about the man but then he had heard the rumors and had no reason to doubt Ala. "I take it you wanna join my pack huh? Well tell ya what, I'll let ya in on a probationary membership and we'll see how it goes after 90 days. However, during those 90 days I may kick you out for any reason I deem necessary. It may be because you broke a rule or it may be because you looked at me cross eyed. Whatever the reason you'll be out and out for good. Does that sound like a plan to you?" He waited for her response, his arms still wrapped around her, he wasn't worried about whether of not she liked it. That was his plan and he was sticking to it.

It was no surprise that the little wolf found it a tad odd when large arms worked their way around her. That was apparent by the way her head tilted slightly and the raised brow that followed. She was too busy explaining herself to care much really so she left it be. That and of course the people on the dance floor were a bit more distracting. Especially since her stomach had started to growl a little. Unfortunately for her, he probably wouldn't be too happy with her killing someone else and devouring them in his club. She'd just have to pick up some Chinese on the way home.
Her thoughts had wandered so far into what food she wanted that she didn't really pay much attention at first, when he spoke. "Probationary membership.." What was this, a job? Alabaster hated waiting and she clenched her fists a little to subdue the retort that hung on the tip of her tongue. The problem at had was that she was a lone wolf in a very big, not to mention strange, city. It was then that a question popped into her head "Does this mean that I can't yanno...eat people or just not the people in your club?" Lithe fingers toyed in her hair, twisting her fingers in the strands.
"Never mind that question because honestly I don't think I would be able to contain myself even if you said I couldn't. But I will at the very least respect your club and not kill anyone else. So I suppose I have no choice but the agree with the rest of your terms for now. " She sighed softly before the scent of food caught her and she purred softly. "What's good to eat here? " Her stomach was obviously her main concern.

"You eat anyone and you're out," Adam replied with a frown. "My pack doesn't go around gobbling up humans and this club isn't the only thing I own. In fact running this place is just a hobby, if it were to go under I'd barely notice." This was true, he headed a Fortune 500 company and business was picking up like before despite the economy.
He studied Ala for a bit as he held her in his lap. Had this been the old days he would of told her to leave without even considering her for the pack. Now however it was different, he needed wolves badly. His enemies were growing stronger by the minute. Ella's pack already had double his number and who knew how strong Sevanni's coven was now. Course it didn't help that he left but despite his pride he never considered himself important to anything or anyone.
"Hungry huh? Well take a seat and I'll get you a menu." He gently pushed her off of him and waved a waitress over. "My friend needs a menu," he told her and she soon came over and handed one to Ala. Then she stood there and waited for to take her order.

A slight purr escaped her as she eyed the menu for what only seemed to be a few seconds, not actually bothering to take anything in. She had never been one for choosing one thing when it came to food. Despite her size she could pack down quite a lot of it. Only god knows where it all went. Perhaps she burned it all off when she went into her psychotic fits. Softly she whispered to herself "Everything.." It was only a moment later that she realized that she was the only one that probably heard her request so she held the menu up towards the waitress. "I want everything..and two of those" A dainty finger pointed to a picture of some sort of dessert that she could only imagine tasted as good as the picture made it look.
With a brightly childish smile along her face she handed the menu back towards the woman. "And make it quick.." Looking towards Adam she thought for a second before adding on a "....please and thank you." Honestly she had no friends here so she didn't want to ruin the possibility of having him as one by being rude.
Shifting to face Adam, she pulled her legs up into the seat with her, folding them Indian style. "So, how many people are in this pack of yours? And..wait..what did you mean by I can't eat people? Like..at all? And I only eat "bad" people. Nuns have no taste to me. The sinners always taste better." Staring at him with her doe like green eyes she awaited an answer like a child who had just asked their parents where babies come from. She almost seemed excited for an answer.

"You're welcome," Adam replied with a friendly grin. "I've always believed in helping out my fellow wolf." Adam took a sip of his root beer and thought for a moment about her first question. Just how many wolves DID he have in his pack? The problem was the company and the pack, while often spoken of as one and the same, were separate when it came ta head count.
"I have around three hundred employees but in terms of fighting strength, which I'm sure is what you're asking, I have only three. Connie, Crapgame, and Amarant. We're more of a business than a fighting pack, in fact we don't hate vampires like other wolves do. Number one it's bad for business and number two not all vamps are evil monsters. I know, one I see as a younger sister and another saved my life. The way I see it they are no better or worse than the rest of us. The evil ones should die, I agree there, but you can't hate them all because of the actions of some even if Katra and her like are correct and the majority or vamps are evil."
He paused a moment and took another sip of his drink. Those were his beliefs and he would die by them. Sure he had his doubts now and then, he'd heard that his own sister had fed on humans, but when it came down to it he believed in what he said. "As for not eating humans I mean it. I don't care who they are, ya don't eat them." He paused again then continued, "Of course what I don't know won't hurt me, it's not like I keep tabs on what my pack does in it's free time but I do have eyes and ears here and there and I WILL enforce my rules when I discover that they have been broken." He leaned back in his chair and looked at her, "So do ya still wanna join? I can think of a good position for you if ya do."

Tapping her chin as she thought over his explanation for his pack she became a little less enthused to join. Of course having a few pack members to watch her back for her was not a bad thing but there was the fact that they weren't exactly the fighting type. Alabaster did enjoy her fighting very much, obviously. For a moment she paused her own thoughts, Crapgame, what kind of name was that? She couldn't help but giggle to herself quietly at the mention of it. None the less she wasn't one to make fun of a name, considering her own odd one. Alabaster Doki Roderick wasn't exactly the most normal of names, especially for one of her appearance.
Nodding her head in agreement at the mention of vampires being evil, she smiled softly.Every experience she had with vampires had all been bad ones. The last one being her worst, seeing as the damn thing nearly killed her along with it's human lackeys who pumped her full of delightful little silver bullets. That hadn't been a fun experience at all but at least she got a good meal out of it. Not that the vampire had tasted any good. Dead meat didn't taste as good as it might sound, it tasted far worse. Like eating dirt wrapped in dung Beatles.
Obviously she was none too happy about the not eating people anyone part, a fairly large pout showing on her face as she clenched the arm of her chair, causing indents of her fingers to show in it. She definitely hated not getting what she wanted or being told that she couldn't do something, especially that she enjoyed so much. Letting out a deep breath, she attempted to calm herself, instead focusing on the fact that she'd just have to survive off of sugary foods for awhile. Once he said the what I don't know won't hurt me part she nearly jumped out of her seat for joy. Alabaster was very god at keeping secrets and even better and getting rid of the people who might tell her secrets.
"Sure, I guess I still want to join. Although there are a lot of rules." She pouted once more for only a second before offering a childish smile. "Ok yeah..a job like what?" Her teeth clenched down her her bottom lip, hoping he could come up with one right on the spot. "Can I be like a body guard? Or a taste tester..or or..can I 'get rid' of people for the pack that we don't like. " Maybe that was a bit outlandish and maybe it wasn't but she did watch a lot of old movies. "Oh..and one more thing, what do you mean be "enforce your rules"? Do I get a spanking or something?"

Adam could tell she wasn't keen on most of what he said. He couldn't really blame her either, seemed like he was always in the minority in his beliefs. More than a few followed his lead simply because he was the alpha and not because they believed in wolf/vamp harmony. His pack was nothing else if not loyal and more than ounce he questioned if he had really earned that loyalty. Somehow he doubted it. Seemed like many a wolf was hardcore vamp hater and Kat having won the war didn't help any either.
He smiled when she said she'd join. Maybe he wasn't such a bad leader after all. "You'll be on security and answer to me. You'll also be testing out some of the latest toys R&D have come up with," he said then pulled his Beretta 93-R from his shoulder holster. The gun was custom made just for him, silver-ish with gold highlights and lacked the fore grip of the normal model. He removed the clip and set it down in front of her. The clip was a normal one but the bullets weren't. HE knew that she'd see nothing different about them but he bet she could smell the magnesium and other pyrotechnic material within the round. "Take a look at that and tell me what you think."
