[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=090a0c] When Nada happily accompanied him back toward the yacht, the vampire's smile grew. A woman that wanted to enjoy a good time. Better than one merely masquerading for ruse's sake. Nada could have run off the 'scorned' lover if she weren't the least bit interested. Now he was certain the night would be eventful. Fun. Dramatic? Hopefully not melodramatic.
As they hurried on board just before they boarded up to launch, Dante glanced over at his evening's companion. "So," he kept his voice intimate as he leaned in a little closer as two lovers whispering sweetly between one another, "what type of music do you like?" Nice way to get a feel on the woman's personality, manipulation and quick thinking aside.
Lingering so close, he couldn't help put pick up strong traces of her scent too. She smelled as sweet as the rose she appeared. Fortunate, seeing how the bottled blood they would soon come in proximity to would, otherwise, have distracted him were he alone. Good thing it wasn't fresh. Gods knew fresh blood could drive him up the wall.

Nada smiled at his question then frowned, as she tried to think of a answer, finally shrugging with a smirk at the first thing that popped into her head. "If it's grooven than I'll be moven." she replied, with slight shrug. "There's very little I don't like. But don't get any ideas if I get a bit slutty on the dance floor. That's just me having fun." she added, with a wink, for taking his hand firmly and dragging him toward the music.
For a vampire he certainly wasn't putting up much of fight for all the dragging she was doing. Which lead her to believe he was either really into her game, or really into her. She however was hoping for the latter being as she hadn't acted this reckless since she was still in high school and could afford to be.
And she had no idea what was sparing this current bout of carelessness now. He was a vamp and she was as good as a warm blood smoothie with legs in a nice dress. Which made it seem more and more likely that he was looking indulge on a little more than her company if she didn't stop acting like she didn't know what he was.
But then if she'd thought of that in the first place, she would have kept walking when he'd bowed and not started this ridiculous illusion of him being her date.
Oh well. I never planned to live forever anyway. And it's not like I'm glutton for pleasure. I'll have my fun as Rebecca for just tonight. And get back to Nada in the morning. she thought wistfully, before turning to face him, placing her hands on his hips and closing her eyes as she began to move with the music.
Thinking that she probably looked about seven different kinds of retarded but then she wasn't Nada now she was Rebecca. And Rebecca didn't care what anyone else thought about her dancing, so long as she was dancing.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=090a0c] A light chuckle rumbled behind his lips as his pale blue eyes watched the woman drifting along side him on the boat. "Ideas are half the fun," he murmured in reply, leaning close to Nada with a smile on his lips. Now if he acted on those ideas and got a little too frisky for her tastes then she could tell him to fuck off. So, now Dante had to try to separate what she really, really wanted from whats he was pretending to want. The anticipation nearly made him growl; dangerously enjoyable this night would be.
Pulled out into the fray, Nada's vampiric escort for the evening followed without complaint. Where else was he suppose to go? Who else attracted his attention? Nada was the evening's entertainment. Dante wasn't about to wander off to stare out at the water when there was something magnificent to captivate his attention. Did he mention the crowd was added flavor to the evening revelry? He did love flaunting an affair before the public.
A smile broke his lips when Nada's hands fell on his hips to get down with her naughty self. Free form was it, with a dash of dirty dancing? Lovely. Hopefully she wouldn't be offended with how his hands slid up those lovely, warm arms on up to her shoulders and down about her sides with what he could touch. No need for him to act like the statuesque man that couldn't dance; Nada needed a partner and this was one vampire pleased to give her one.
The important thing was not bothering to pay attention to the genre of music playing. Inappropriate behavior was something he enjoyed. Might not ingratiate himself with the ancient vampires milling about bored with their eternal lives, but he didn't care what they thought. Did any of them even recognize he existed? Dante couldn't recall anyone reaching out to him seeing how he taught himself how to survive as a nocturnal predator. So, for all their hard work and charity... they could go straight to Hell.
"Whatever happens," Dante said as they danced,, "let's make it memorable." For them? For everyone. Though Dante wouldn't mind if Nada felt the desire to explore more of their illusionary life together.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Leave or don’t leave, it’s not my concern. My only concern is why you decided to barge into my room and throw me around like a piñata. Honestly, it is not something I honestly enjoyed.
|
[/b] And he wasn’t joking. He was this close to reaching his snapping point and going panther on her ass. That wouldn’t go so well with his employers or any of the staff members, seeing as the door was open at the time of the throwing and hitting, and strangely enough, the kissing. So on to business. This… What was it? Alianne was it? I don’t know who she is or why I would be looking at her in the first place. Maybe I was staring at the scenery or maybe a person behind her. Now being a vampire, I’m sure you would be paranoid on a boat filled with humans, all of which probably want you dead if they knew you existed, and werewolves who probably want you dead for the sheer scent of you. And he wasn’t kidding… the scent of her vampirism was all over her and it was driving him crazy. He wanted nothing more than to have his panther jaws all over neck. Then again, she did have a floral scent to her, which made it SLIGHTLY bearable, but it didn’t make the vampire smell go away. In any case, how about we just call this one a mistake and move on with our lives. I’d honestly hate for another fight, so off you go.[/b] He looked at the window behind the vampire and saw the hotel his target was at. This was not going to end well. If she stayed any longer, he would have to do some heavy duty math for ricocheting the bullet and a whole lot of other fucked up calculations, and he REALLY didn’t want to do that. “Also, I was on my way to hit the shower and finish up some business before going to the party. Mind giving me some privacy, or would you rather just meet me in the shower and have it be a grand old time?----------------------------------------------- [/color][/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/td][/tr][/table][/center][/quote]

[atrb=width,400,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=000000] Now that she thought about it, it was kind of rude and unladylike to just barge in n a poor and ‘unfortunate’ soul. She had done worse though; this was nothing to shed a tear over. “Hm, that was a tad rude, wasn’t it?” she cocked her head slightly to the side, enjoying it though as well. What this kitten had gotten from her; was just a mere taste of the pain she inflicted years ago. She hadn’t meant the apology entirely, whatever type of apology it was. He seemed to have already moved on from it; not one to dwell on the past, she could have guessed. “Sorry…it’s just…” she wasn’t one to address her personal life to people she had just tried to kill. It could lead to future problems. “My cousin has a…well...History, of run ins with people.” Rose smiled slightly, trying to ease the situation. “You have certainly no idea…how drawn humans and most other species are drawn to my scent…” she stroked his cheek adoringly.
“You’re just displeased I got the slip on. Don’t be a sour puss.”
She winked playfully. It was true; Rose had caught him by surprise and what not. Her eyes moved to the cut along his upper body, wanting to taste his blood again. Half cat blood; tasted better than she expected, really. It was a mixture of well…cat and human, from what she knew. A new breed of species, one she wasn’t sure she would most enjoy encountering with on a daily basis. Who knew what they were like, let alone what they were capable of. A coy grin danced onto her pouty lips. ”Now, now.” she stood, the dress tightening beautifully along her small figure. “You don’t even know me name, but you seem to be eager to see me undressed.” Rose’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“I’m not into hit and runs either. she crinkled her nose, almost looming over him despite her small complex. This was what power was like in someone like her. You felt it, though didn’t see it. “It’d be very rude if you were into those.” her lips were all but touching his, but she smiled. Rose licked the tip of his nose daintily, “I suppose…” her figure was slanted seductively against the doorway, her position almost considered provocative. “If you don’t need me, I shall be going.” her hand was on the doorway, twisting the already broken handle.

ANNOUNCEMENT
The Host has grown impatient and ordered for the ship's hull to be destroyed an hour early. It is eleven thirty. An explosion on the starboard deck ensues, causing part of the main deck to be obliterated. The guests and crew have a half hour to find themselves off of the yacht before it is completely submerged.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=090a0c] Dante was enjoying himself before the deck decided to blow up. It sent him crouching toward the deck to avoid projectile debris. When the roar and the brunt of the force finished washing over them, the man straightened up to take a quick look at the damage from where he stood.
He turned quickly toward Nada and made sure she was away from the brunt of the damage on the deck. "Are you injured?" A quick survey suggested she wasn't, but he asked anyway. It might give her something to think about while she recovered. "Get to a life raft or flotation ring. Find a life jacket. Quickly," he instructed, grateful the boat wasn't already halfway under water by now. It gave them time for people to get ready for a swim.
The vampire turned toward the cabins. Seeing how sharp Nada had been earlier, the man stopped and turned back around to face her. "If you need to, help the rest of the people up here. Do not go below." Commanding? Yes. He knew his way around a boat; he knew what people needed to do to survive this. Besides, if all else failed he was a vampire--he couldn't die by drowning.
Without further ado, Dante turned and bolted for the lower decks where people could be trapped--namely, Humans. Trapped Vampires should be freed too, but given a choice they could survive going to the bottom, but a Human couldn't. Just the way things worked. Besides, witnesses that might be able to tell what exploded or who exploded it might be down there; every person possible had to be saved in order to learn who'd blown the evening and why.

[atrb=width,300,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=7d7b7e]It was an okay night thus far. H.K. had managed to talk to a few people who were a little important. Avoiding those whom she didn't quite care to encounter. Home was nearly following her everywhere, but it was Helena who stayed calm and stood her ground. "Well hello kitty kitty." Until now. An eye roll was lovely, accompanied by a faint snicker. She was sure they noticed, just as it was intended to be seen. "I see you two have been let out of your cage." She quirked a single brow and continued to keep her party face on. She didn't really like the twin boys before her, just because they were too destructive for her nature. Bickering back and forth had commenced for a few moments before she managed to excuse herself and wander away from the crowd, and the boys. A nice cozy little bunker area where the awning kept the moon light at bay, and there were few people standing close by. A few breaths later had come in handy, because she nearly lost her own to that sound. It hadn't taken long for people to start talking. Whispering aloud and ranting their concerns. Helena's own blood pulsed rapidly through her veins, and if her heart could beat, it would be running a mile a minute. When she turned toward the back of the yacht from where she had been earlier, she saw nothing but eyes. Everything went black. Having that feeling as if someone had knocked you over the head. Not even had she felt the arms that took hold of her form. Felt the water that rushed over her body. The air within the water she could breathe from. Everything had all been a wonder, it was when she woke up that she had to worry about. _______________ WEARING: this |

Unfortunately, while emotions were easily manipulated, it was much more difficult to feign ignorance. Though of course Daniel had attempted not to stare back at her as the hate burned in her eyes each morning. If his heart had been beating it might've sighed sadly. Oh for his selfish ways. And while it was convenient she could turn it off so simply, it stayed with him most days, the overpowering image of that glare. It was enough to put a chink in his happiness even. Because while she hid it…she still felt it, at least upon awakening she did. He didn't sleep. Not often in any case, he simply laid there with his eyes shut to humor her. Though some mornings he wondered why, it only put him in a prime position be glared at when the sun began to peek through the trees and dance dangerously on the floor. And while he did respect Faith's morals, there were countless occasions when her morals conflicted with necessity and at that point he would find himself talking her around them. She was smart, which generally gave Dani a headache from trying to trip her into submitting that it was a good idea - whatever he was trying to persuade her of.
Daniel's warm blue eyes ticked over the occupants of the yacht party, somewhat annoyed with the fact that he was even here. Cavorting with riffraff as it were. But she had put up a fair argument, and being out in the open was good exercise for her. Though with all the dogs around it was probably something of a culture shock. Daniel was weary, probably from this Helter Skelter romance they'd begun, but then there was the instance that he knew that Faith knew more than she was saying about this boat…and nothing was quite right about it. It put him on edge, though she seemed to be enjoying herself even still. Was that safe? With Faith's morbid sense of reality?…Probably not. With this in mind, his hyper-vigilance only amplified. Daniel had already contemplated the effect his cold hand would make as ittook her smaller but equally frigid one in its grasp. It would distract her long enough to get her across the ramp and then…The chaos.
Even a vampire so young as a century could handle this as a pro, without the slightest tick of his lips or turn of his stare towards the food that was intermingled with mutts and fellow immortals. Faith was calling someone out of the crowd, and Dani allowed her to without breaking it - only to see if she would pull herself out of it. He was poised ready to separate her from this mortal if it became necessary but he was a fan of letting her try to do things herself before he butted in and did them for her. I didn't mean to-…Leave! She had shut her eyes, but Dani was witness to the confused look on the humans face as it regained a conscious mind and shook its head, unaware of why it had just walked in this direction. His lips twitched but he glanced down at Faith quietly. I though you said that would get better! I can't stop doing it… I have no control!
Smirking, he dropped a kiss to her brow. "Your control is just in the works. But you stopped yourself, that was good." Even if optimism was not his strong suit, he worked to scrape together a silver lining for her when she had these small fits. Oh darn. Did I forget to tell you that the yacht was going out to sea? That's unfortunate… I honestly ask myself sometimes, what's the use of knowing things before they happen if I forget to use it? Of course she was right in thinking he would be disgruntled. Being out at sea…produced variables. "I'm sorry. I should have told you, I really wanted to be with others for a change. I'm sorry, Thank you for taking care of me and coming, I love you, So. Do you know anyone? He blinked slowly, resisting the urge to growl softly and nodded. I love you too, he huffed, still obviously annoyed. Nodding his head towards the Trells, he named them under his breath before letting his gaze wander to Rose Decumbrey. "And that little blonde is Rose Decumbrey." They wandered around for perhaps an hour before an explosion commanded his attention.
Daniel's eyes first snapped towards the hull and then back at Faith - anger clouding his cobalt eyes as he snapped a few curses beneath his breath and took her hand, and began to weave through the frantic crowd. Saving her from drowning was easy enough. But she wasn't going to like the fact he wasn't going to be saving anyone else this evening. Hell, he didn't know any of these people. Gritting his teeth he turned on his heel and craned down at her, his lips almost working to fast for his words to be decipherable. "If you let me just get you to shore, I'll come back with a boat with an actual engine and fish people out of the water, okay? He didn't wait for her bleeding heart to concede, only continued to drag her away. He wasn't going to waste a life raft on them - they could swim and if she could he'd just go lifeguard and drag her to shore himself. He glanced at her…stopping short of the bars at the side and kissed her softly, reassuringly before he proceeded to take her in his arms, picking her up neatly like a child and leap off the deck. The water was cold when he hit it, but just as he felt the onslaught of liquid around his liquidate kicked and with that strength their heads managed to stay above water. He was grateful they were cold to begin with, but glanced at Faith who probably would be…pissed. "Want to swim or you want me to swim for us?" Who knows…she might enjoy a little bath in the ocean.

Post by *Faith Riddle on Aug 17, 2010 23:16:28 GMT -5
For the next hour, Faith and Dani meandered about the ship. Their conversation was light. Mainly, Faith utilized Dani as a distraction from the mortal and lupine guests when she spoke to him. She was thoroughly enjoying herself, and never mind if she mingled with the other partygoers -- she was overjoyed that she was here and among them, and, with Dani by her side, safe from harming them. So as the night progressed Faith did relax some. Eventually her nose desensitized the thousands of odors, and they weren't as new and overwhelming to her. She made a conscious effort to keep a glass of blood in her hand at all times. Though she wasn't much hungry after hunting before the party, she kept a glass with her as a kind of safety net.
Faith checked her watch and groaned softly. The party was over in 3, 2, 1, kaboom. She swallowed nervously and watched Dani react. He wasn't gonna like this. She made it a point to feign surprise, widening her eyes and fixing her countenance to terror-stricken. Soon, she didn't have to fake terror anymore. The chaos was something she told herself she wouldn't worry about until it happened. Well it was happening now, and she found herself actually panicking. It was pandemonium and it happening very suddenly. Her senses were shocked, and this was beginning to numb her. She was vaguely aware that Dani had taken her hand and was leading her through the mass hysteria. Finally, he was speaking to her and the sound of his voice was remedy enough to snap her out of the numbness some. Faith mindlessly nodded, still very dazed. He was taking her away, further from the hysterics. A twinge in her gut made her feel not quite right about leaving.
Dani's rapid flight from the crowd ended at the side of the boat. The sight of the black water registered in her head, and she took a good guess at what Dani was thinking. "Wait, you're taking me off the ship?" a delayed reaction to his previous words. He had kissed her and then scooped her into his arms before she could react. She squirmed but he was already making the jump, "Wait -- NO!" Her heart fell into her stomach, and then the frigid water closed over her head. Faith kicked herself to the surface and glared at Dani murderously. Unfortunately for him, she was starting to come to her senses. "Are you insane? There are mortals on that ship!" and now she was cold. And wet. And not happy at all. He asked her a question. Before she answered, she listened to the screaming riot emanating from above. She realized she was shaking. "Can you swim for us for a little while?" She still needed to recover some, and she was too mad at Dani to pass up this offer. When we get to shore, there will be hell to pay Daniel Conteo.

"I see you two have been let out of your cage." Kane scowled at her very words. How could someone like her say something like that to them. She was the one who was being protected. She was the one who was confined to her area. Until tonight, which made it a perfect time to make their move.
With all of the action going down, the boys knew it was time to do what they needed to do and go and collect their reward for doing it. "You will regret those words." Kane pushed out with an eased force.
Her demeanor had told them she would continue to be little miss perfect, when everyone, including her, knew that her shit stunk just like everyone else's, and this was damn sure a shitting party.
"Bottoms up." Abel pushed out, and as his hand rose Kane had pushed forward, grabbing Helena close while his brother shot something in her neck.
Now; vampires are pretty much immune to the common shit mortals get, but this little doozy here was something made by someone other than a mortal. And it didn't take long either. That part became evident.
Abel trudged out three masks while Kane held her. Turning the valves on before moving them over two faces plus his own. Kane held her tight as the brace was connected to them both. They were out of eye sight for the time being, but time did move on and you know what they say. Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they can't see you. It was running through their minds. Someone would know a bit of information and of course, Sevanni would pay the right bounty, simply because it was Shaden's woman and Shaden was Sev's little.....Well, they didn't quite know, but the did intend on finding out.
The water was cold but it didn't phase the boys. They were there to do a job. the only thing they should have done was have wet suits underneath. Kane figured to listen to Abel and simply roll with the punches. He'd never do the same thing again.
When they swam out far enough so they weren't in eye view they pulled up to a bank area just to the east, moving about the rock and crashing waters of the current's waves. Abel pulling Helena's wet frame up and Kane came to assist soon after. They had six hours to get to their destination.
New York, here they come.
Just a plane ride a way.

[atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,false][cs=0][bg=090a0c] Dante strode down into the depths of the ship. Any door that didn't open with a push got kicked opened. He made no effort to keep his voice down as he shouted for everyone to get their 'asses on deck and off the ship' before they went down with the ship. Anyone had a problem with telling them to save their own sorry asses could shove it and enjoy the bone chilling water cover and drown 'em. Dante held no personal stake in holding their hands until they got off the ship; no one here was that important to him. His job was directing them to save themselves and how to do it. Too many places to check before the ship sunk.
Wasn't any of his business to make sure anyone got off the boat, actually. More or less just an instinctual reaction to a disaster aboard a sea vessel. More of that life Dante didn't want to remember dictating his actions. Nice when the skills kept him alive or got him what he wanted; but it was a pain in the ass when it made him do crap like this.
"If anyone's still down here, say something now, because I'm not deep sea diving to recover your corpse," Dante snapped nearing the end of the main hall. If anyone went down with the boat they'd stay down in the boat. Search & Rescue could recover the body--that was part of what they were paid to do right? Probably not the glamorous part of their job. Hopefully they got hazard pay for that. Dante? No one was paying him for this; not even in blood.
