Arvid smirked at the woman who replied to his questions."Thats true. I don't spend much time in the city myself, and I'm rarely in the towns near the mountains. The mountains and forests are my home." He looked at the boy more closely, then after he said his name was Mattiga Bontecou he realized he knew the boy from a previous encounter. He stepped closer to the him, Mattiga's sent filled his nose. Arvid grined, placed a hand on his shoulder. "I just can't seem to not fallow you Mattiga. I thought you were going home to Canada last time I saw you. Oh by the way, how is your chest?"
Arvid glanced over at the she-wolf who was causing a slight ruckus. She seemed paniced and troubled by Mattiga's words. 'She seems like a young werewolf. Hope she doesn't blow their cover, and Mattiga finds out.' Arvid slowly moved his gaze to each of the wolves.
Arvid listened closely to the three wolves talk, and how they acted. 'They must be a pack. Hmm...That one woman seems like the leader. I might just stay out of their conversation. Its none of my business. But I still want to know what they are planing to do to Mattiga.' He thought with a slight concerned look on his face.
Arvid stood silent with an eye on Mattiga waiting for a reply from him...or for him to run away. Arvid thought of Mattiga running away, and what could happen to him if he did so. 'Hmm, four wolves that were out alone in the forest in the dark with only the moon to light the way, with a boy that is running. Not to mention the full moon was close at hand and the inner beast is clawing its way out slowly. Seeing Mattiga run could cause them to take chase. But...I didn't know these wolves and maybe they wouldn't chase the boy...maybe it was just me.'
Arvid found him self in a slight daze as he thought over the many different scenarios that could happen.

The thin mortal’s statement about his undying adoration for the moon was amusing at best and the alpha chuckled softly to herself. It was a beautiful touch of irony. The new arrival seemed to unsettle the little mortal even more if that were possible while his pants remained dry. Curious? He was curious was he? Her lips twitched but Sombra said nothing – she simply smirked. It was clear that Conall’s abrasive antics were easily getting under Cassie’s skin. Ah the chemistry of humans. The absolute chill of her stare seemed to hone on both individuals at once. Quite honestly they were going to be an interesting spectacle to observe. ”Calm yourselves.” She stated softly, though her voice seemed to slice through the air as cold and hostile as a blade in the night. Just as it would have taken affect, Cassie jumped to attention once again. As the young wolf continued to speak, the older seasoned woman stared – her gaze was light, chilly and even as it always was. ”And what kind of trouble would that be, Cassie?” Both brows had ascended at this point in an inquiring manner. Another dare as it were. Frankly the alpha had issued no order for such hostilities. Another line was being drawn, seniority playing a large hand in this encounter as the she-wolf took stand after stand, teaching as she went with the younger beasts. Delgadillo was boss dog, more than that the wolf knew which fight was the one to pick – she spent a great deal of time picking brawls. It seemed that only one reproach was necessary to put the beta back in his place. Sombra was suddenly quite pleased with her choice of a second in command. Then again the air had been tainted now with the scent of two bloods. There was that of the human and that of the beta both of which had apparently accumulated a little stress as well as Cassie. It would seem that the feral, the one whose like for social settings was least of all was the one who was the most at ease. Conall was waiting for further instruction though at this point Sombra would not give it. He was doing just as she would want at present. The other wolf, Arvid as he was so named, was quiet which was the sole reason Sombra’s gaze had grown trained upon him. It was a lazy skeptical one that begged him to speak something intelligible. The lupine had something earthy about his scent that soothed her own lupine and so she remained absolutely still and stared at him reticently for several regarding moments. His relations with the human was interesting but somehow unsurprising – Arvid seemed to be one of those wolves who was not at all confused about who he was, but then he acted as a human anyway for the most part and befriended humans all the same. Sombra wasn’t exactly what you’d call prejudiced against humans, no that was an honor given only to vampires, but she was not fond of their arrogance, smell or flightiness. Not that their fear was unfounded, but regardless, it put the wolf on edge and prepared her for a meal that always seemed to take too long in coming. * Acid Varun
You can't even begin to fathom the power in which I possess...

Even though Acid looked calm and serene on the outside, the inner sanctum of his heart was swirling with turmoil. His thoughts were always circling around three main things; a constant merry-go-round of the same damn thought that happened more than once a day. These thoughts?
One: His children.
Two: The Bane.
Three: His revenge against the vampire race.
One would think they would go hand in hand...but that wasn't the case in Acid's mind. To Acid Varun, they were three separate issues that just so happen to coincide with the other. Kestrian, Marius, Delilah: his beloved children. They were dead and gone now - murdered by their whoring mother. That filthy, tainted werewolf bitch, Tomyris. She had sullied the good name of Varun the minute she had relations with those disgusting...night walkers... Just thinking about it made Acid's stomach turn. Kodiak had done his best to rid him of the anger that flooded his heart on the matter. But even now, after all this time, Acid could not get the thought of his children being murdered right before his very eyes.
And then there was The Bane, the pack in which Acid was the Alpha and had taken the spot from Deunan once he'd relinquished it. His predecessor was a smart, ruthless, and cunning individual. He'd trained Kodiak and Acid in the finest arts of killing, both of vampires and werewolves and even humans. After all, those who associated with the vampires were considered to be no good and needed to be exterminated as quickly and as efficiently as possible. They were despicable trash. The Bane was formulated to be such a group, a clean up crew, since Deunan had given away the title of Alpha to Acid. The Bane were strong and steadily growing their forces in Munich, their headquarters. It would only be a matter of time. But...he was still lacking in strength. If only those damned Amazon She-wolves would just quit being stubborn and aid him in the alliance he so desired. Damn their neutrality on the issue. Acid had no need to fear his position being taken. You could only be good at something so long before someone took over your station. No one was that stupid to take him on. If they managed to get past Kodiak, they would be fucked up so much that killing them would have been easy pickings at that point. You never saw Acid without seeing his shadow, Kodiak, and the same went in reverse. But today, he sent Kodi on a mission - but mostly just to have the day off.
Acid scoffed angrily as he took a swig of his drink from his flask. Those no good pieces of trash... he thought bitterly.
Finally, the war he was planning with the vampires. It was enough to want Acid to tear his claws right through the tree he was currently sitting under, but he maintained his cool and just took a deep breath. Acid had to time everything just right. He'd been planning this fight for years...years of tactics and calculated assaults (with the added bonus of slaughtering a vampire here and there). But he couldn't bring too much attention to himself. Not now. No. It wasn't time. He had to carefully pick and choose his targets and figure out how he would go about showing off his declaration of war. No. One wrong mistake and all his years of hard work would be for naught.
Acid didn't want to just kill the vampires. He wanted to strike a chord of fear in them so loud that it would shake the very undead bones that held the blood and flesh they stole from others.
Marius...Kestrian...Delilah... Acid sighed once more as the conversation around him was starting to pick up to his ever keen ears. Surprised he hadn't heard it earlier? No. Of course not. He had other, more important things on his mind than to listen to this squabble.
And a squabble it was. God. If they were so damn annoyed with each other, why didn't they just leave and be done with it? Why did they keep on talking about this drivel? So many werewolves with smart mouths flapping in the wind. He wondered if their bite was nearly as lame as their bark. He prayed that it wasn't the case. They would bring so much shame to the werewolf race global wise.
"Why don't you all just fucking shut-up and let the boy do as he pleases?" He let his brown and crimson eye glare at the group as they turned to look at him, but the would only see shadow for now. He hadn't bothered to stand up yet. Acid took a sip of his drink and sighed, the cool liquid burning the back of his throat. "Jesus, so what he he thinks the moon is great? So what if he's out here in the middle of the night? I could say the same about all of you."
Acid stood up, dusted off the back of his pants, and revealed himself from the shadow of trees he had been previously sitting at. These idiots just didn't know how to leave well enough alone. "So, just because he's ignorant to what we all are, you think you can tell him how to live his life, do you? Who says that any of you are safer just because you are what you are?" He narrowed his eyes shoved one of his hands into his pockets, his crimson eye practically glowing under the moonlight. "I have half a mind to kill every last one of you just to let this boy have some peace. Hell, so I can have some peace. If you're all that damn worried about his fuckin' safety, then turn him already and shut the hell up. It's quite a simple thing, really."
Why did it seem like he was the one stuck doing all the god-damned work all the time?
[/blockquote] |OOC:| For the record, Acid is NOT yelling so I would appreciate it if people modified their posts accordingly... -laughs- I don't even think Acid CAN yell anymore. He just isn't the type to go around screaming and hollering at people. Think of his tone as more gruff and annoyed.

Mattiga sighed and flicked his hood back running his fingers through his dark hair. He rolled his eyes and turned to the hot headed female, Look lady, you're voice is rather annoying and really starting to get on my nerves. You keep threatening me in round about ways. It's really confusing and aggravating. If you want to threaten me then fine go ahead but stop beating around the bush and say what you have to say. Stop acting all high and mighty just because you've gone and stumbled upon a person who doesn't see things the way you do. I like the moon and the beauty it brings. That's not going to change any time soon so get over it. Also, so what if I accuse you of not being human, it was a joke. Go get a sense of humor. His eyes were dark now and his anger was rising. This group was starting to tick him off. Mattiga sighed and shook his head looking down at the ground. He took slight note of the man beside him now coming to a full standing position and turned to look at him. He was the only one who didn't make Mattiga cringe in fear or completely confused. He turned away from him as Arvid began to spoke and then address Mattiga directly. Mattiga grinned and responded in a soft voice, I was, but as soon as I got home to candania I heard about this festival and wanted to check it out for myself. Now, I'm beginning to regret my decision. Mattiga frowned as the other lady began to speak. he groaned and looked at her with a blank expression on his face. Look, I said that because people that keep secrets and hide things from other people belong on the outskirts of society with the criminals and outcasts. People who live in the shadows and hide everything they are make me sick. Also, if you hate crowds so much, then why are you here. Go back to the forest or wherever, nobody's keeping you here. Mattiga had had enough. he turned his back on the lot of them and looked up at the moon and it's mysterious glow shining down on the earth. The moon had always given him hope and happiness. He'd needed it's guidance and light on several occasions in Canada when he had gotten lost in the forests or towns and had needed the way light. He would never hate it. He grinned as he thought of vampyres and werewolves. Even if he was one of them, a werewolf especially, he would go on loving the moon. It brought the wolves out which he loved. He had been saved by a pack of wolves when he had gotten separated from his father as a child. A blizzard had sprung up and he had stumbled away and into the wilderness. He'd been accepted by a pack and had survived with them for three weeks before being found and taken back to his father. He looked back to the group as he heard another man's voice. He was curiouser about this guy. This guys seemed just as annoyed as he was. He grinned as he yelled ad the group then slightly frowned. He had said something about turning him. He didn't quite understand this but he wasn't going to argue with the only person on his side. He stood waiting to see what reactions this newcomer would get.[/blockquote]

The boiling rage which had sprung up out of nowhere was slowly beginning to fade. It started, of course, with Conall. He'd done nothing about her outburst, which was rather comforting. It wasn't like she'd given anything away. Cassie was careful about what she said, even when the wolf was this close to the surface. The newcomer seemed more interested in the boy, so any fears she might have had of him just dissolved. Surely her packmates wouldn't pursue a fight, anyway. That would be irresponsible and childish to allow such antics to continue.
By the time Sombra hadn't spoken, asking her what danger there was, the young she-wolf just bowed her head and averted her eyes. As always, no matter where she happened to be or who surrounded her, she was being foolish. Any other day, she would just have been clumsy, making a fool of herself by tripping over her own feet, but with the beast trying to claw its way out, she had a whole new way to be made a fool. Through actions and words. Mattiga had done nothing. He was just an annoying little human, probably not much younger than herself.
The peace and rationality with which she'd confined the wolf, however, did not last long. Again, Cassie had thrown meaningless questions at the human, this time just narrowly managing to keep their true nature from the boy's knowledge. When she had finished, had turned to give a shamed glance at her betters, also known as her alpha and beta, she swallowed nervously. Sombra's chilling stare was unrelenting, and the question she posed was a challenge, though Cassie was pretty sure she shouldn't engage in such a fight. She'd only just been accepted into this pack and she obviously needed to learn control. If nothing else, watching them would help her, but if she were to make them her enemies, then who would she turn to? There was no one she knew of.
”And what kind of trouble would that be, Cassie?” With a sigh, she took a step away from the human, her gaze searching everywhere except Sombra's eyes.[/color “I didn't mean any trouble from us. I simply wanted him to understand how dangerous this forest is. Wolves do roam the trees, after all.” With her part said, she backed down, but nothing was ever that easy. The ratty human boy wasn't through spewing insults. That wasn't surprising, but it was irritating nonetheless. Gritting her teeth, she clenched and unclenched her fists, then quietly exhaled.
”You know what? You're right.”The she-wolf forced a fleeting smile and backed away from Mattiga again.”I'm over-reacting. I'd blame it on the moon, but you seem partial to that over-sized rock so I guess I won't. After all, I wouldn't want to seem rude. With the sarcasm out of the way, she positioned herself behind her packmates. If she didn't get herself out of the the center of things, then this night would surely end in disaster.
It seemed to be heading in that direction anyway, and when yet another voice broke through the air, Cassie. Of course, it was just hat. Empty words. Some stranger had been yelling from the shadows. Who knows how long he'd been there? When the man finally did show himself, he only made things worse, though he probably wouldn't see it that way. Compared to him, Cassie hadn't jeopardized anything. Now, she could just watch the scene fold out. Sombra would pout this moronic werewolf in his place, but... It just wasn't that simple. This stranger thought he could take them all on? All of them? That was ridiculous.
”Who the hell do you think you are? You-” Cassie didn't finish her sentence. This wasn't her fight. If Sombra and Conall wanted to humor this idiot, then fine, but it wasn't her decision. She'd opened her mouth up enough tonight anyway. Let them deal with it, and if they chose to leave, then who was she to stay? Brushing back a lock of crimson hair, she stood there, trying to watch Arvid and this new stranger both at the same time. She didn't feel as safe as she had before, but that was silly. Her pack had the numbers here, unless you didn't count Cassie. And that was almost understandable.
