Quiet. Smooth. Seductive. Just a few words to describe his demeanor at the moment as he stared his reflection down in the mirror of his bedroom. Restless tempting eyes narrowed suggestively, techniques he'd all learned as a kid in high school, watching his older cousins pick up girl after girl and rack up notches on their bed posts.
Aidyn had always been a rather conscious person of how he treated girls; properly. He wanted them to feel welcomed, cared for, desired- but not in just a sexual way. He scolded his cousins and told them girls wanted to be treated with feelings, looked at as more than just a piece of ass. In response, they'd laugh heartily and shove him on to the dance floor and tell him to comeback whenever his nice guy technique scored him a girl.
And at the end of the night, after being shot down too many times for even the most light-hearted to count, he'd sulk back to the bar and glower at his cousins, each with three or more girls hanging off his side, begging for his dim-witted attention.
Too long had the boy been over looked. He had the soul intent to make a scene now, to be the drawl of the many eyes of scantily clad women, perched on barstools while wetting their lips with an ice cube from their empty drinks. He want to swoon any girl he pleased by the flick of his wrist and the tweak of his grin. And he wanted to break their hearts, just like they did to him, so long ago.
His pace was brisk. This Halloween party that had been whispered along the bar of his favorite restaurant was promised to be the best of the century. It enticed his attention, a rare and difficult task to do since the boy was so enveloped in himself that all he ever did was sit and home and lurk around his house, thinking of his next meal.
Now, the cold, crisp air delicately played with his gelled hair and filled his lungs that couldn't use the oxygen anyways. His hands were tucked neatly in the pockets of his jacket. He wasn't dressed up; just a slick evening suit. If anyone asked, he was CEO of some company draining the middle class faster than any Vampire could suck a humans blood. The pure stupidity of his costume made him laugh out loud, and it was a deep, hearty laugh that made a man sitting on the bench awaiting his bus watch Aidyn's steps suspiciously.
He pondered what could possibly make him look more like a douche bag. Sunglasses. Another smirk. he withdrew a cigarette tucked behind his ear and withdrew a matchbook from his pocket. He struck the match and took a long drag from the cigarette as he lit the cigarette, then shook the match to kill the flame and dropped it in the drain next to the sidewalk he was on.
As he strolled casually on his way to this Halloween party, his rambling, conscious thoughts from the night before made his head start wheeling. He'd tossed and turned in the sheets, knowing good and well he'd never sleep, no mater how hard he tried. But still he'd laid there, half naked, sweating in between his sheets while the fan made rotations overhead infinitely.
And then he was there; the place wasn't too shabby. The costumes were amusing. Some were intricate, delicately thought out down to the smallest stitch of a corset. Others almost looked put together in the last minute as if their friends had drug them to the shindig. Aidyn headed directly to the bar, his favorite place of any place or party.
"Wild Turkey and Coke with a splash of grenadine." He exhaled the smoke and his drink order all at once. The bartender wandered over to the liquor and begin mixing his drink while he slid into a barstool, extinguishing his cigarette in a well used ashtray. He patted his pockets, looking for the pack of Marlboro Smooths he always had, but seemed to be lacking now. The bartender sat his drinking in front of him while he was still searching diligently through his pockets.
He stopped his quest momentarily to take a well deserved sip of his drink. The bourbon burned down his throat quite deliciously followed with a quaint cherry twist. He patted his pockets now in a last hopes attempt to locate his cigarettes and Viola! His back pocket was concealing them. He pulled one from the pack and tossed the rest on the bar next to his drink. He withdrew the matchbook from his pocket again when the tinkering of glass caught his attention. A small piece of glass slid down the bar in his direction and slid into the side of his glass. He looked down the bar to see a boy, a little angry with a candle that had just singed his hand slightly.
Aidyn coked an eyebrow and took the cigarette out of his lips, a genuine smile spread across them now as he requested another drink. "Hand alright?" his tone lacked sarcasm or its usual caustic tone which surprised even Aidyn himself as he addressed this stranger. Halloween did indeed make people behave strangle. Maybe it made Aidyn nice.
Nah.

Why had this invitation been placed in her mail box? Was someone really trying to play this cruel joke on her? With a sigh she had taken the day to find a costume. It had been a while since anyone had heard from her. Drugs and alcohol had taken over her life. She knew that she had to get better, so she had to leave and make a new. Maybe no one would know her. Her drug probably was still bad, but wasn't as bad as it used to be. Before when she lived in New York City, it had gotten to the point where she couldn't even stand on her own to feet, and people were always having to check and see if she was ok, of course she was ok, because well she was here to this day which was a good thing. Her drug problem had gotten so much better. So the day she had spent looking for a costume. You would think since it was New Orleans that she would be able to find something, but everything was really just repetitive. So before the day was over she found herself in the RiverWalk Mall. Then in Victoria Secrets. Along the walls were pictures, that were black and white, of the Victoria Secrets Angels. Then it hit her. That's exactly what she was going to be. No one would of copied her. She knew exactly where to get the costume and the wings. The costume would be bought here at Victoria Secrets then her wings at a costume shop off Decatur Street.
This invitation that was in her purse seemed to be burning a hole in her purse as she walked past Jackson Square. Taking it out she began looking at it and tried to remember how to get to the location of the party. It shouldn't be that hard. She wouldn't drive. Probably get a horse and carriage since well her wings were huge. Once she had purchased her costume she returned home and began getting ready for the night. It seemed like it was going to be fun. This would actually be a good night for her, well maybe.
Closing her eyes as she stepped out of the shower she found herself looking into the mirror. At the bruises on her arms that never seemed to go away. Another sigh then she was away from the mirror and drying her body off to put her costume on. Outside wasn't really that cold. Well it was cold, but it wasn't like she was going to be outside the entire night. She would show up, in costume, see what it was all about and then quickly leave so no one would see her. Well no one that knew her of course. Pulling on the very skimpy outfit she fixed her hair where it was curling down her back and over her shoulders. From off her sink she grabbed some of her black hair clips extensions and placed them in her hair in many places. She was just to lazy to put the black in her hair and wait it out, so this was about as good as it was going to get.
Walking towards her apartment door she saw that the carriage driver was parked in front of her house. She smiled softly then walked outside with her wings and put them on. It was dry outside so she let them drag the ground as she walked down the steps in her black stilettos. Wow it was a bit chilly outside. Before she shut the door she grabbed one of her coats off her rack and then closed her door and locked up for the night. It was time to go and have a good time at a fun place. Well at least she hoped that it would be fun. Maybe there would be some alcohol and well that would make it even more fun. With her invitation in hand she quickly got into the carriage. Her wings were sticking up out of the back and she was snuggled into the velvet of the back seat of the carriage. Taking her phone she turned it off and slipped it into a small bag that was attached on her belt on her side. The carriage driver looked back at her. "Where to Miss..." Looking up she gave him a soft smile. "The old Plantation home where the huge halloween costume party is being held..."
He nodded to her and then they were off onto the streets of New Orleans towards the house. It didn't take them very long to get there, though the scenery was almost breath taking as they headed there. The sun had just rested behind the earth and was giving off a little bit of orange in the distance. It was almost red, though she didn't think much about it. Her gaze moved up to the Plantation house. There was music playing and a lot of people were standing outside. Maybe she had overdressed a little bit. Getting out of the carriage with the drivers help she tipped him and nodded to him to wait until she was ready to leave. Which wouldn't be long, she just wanted to pop in and pop out to see what it was really all about. A sigh came to her lips now as she got closer to the house. It seemed that they had really gone all out for this party. So maybe it was worth it to dress like she did. Around the party outside she could see many people and then inside she heard the voices of many more. Hopefully someone would notice her and all her effort wasn't for nothing. Pulling her hair over one of her shoulders she began walking towards the door. Her heels stepping on the old cobble stone road. Finally she had reached the door and began to look around. Her invitation was in her gloved hand and she just stood there, she was frozen you could say. It was spooky to be here but she had seen scarier things than this in the past, though she wouldn't tell anyone. Closing her eyes she sighed and handed her invitation to the door man and made her way inside. No one was here that she knew, and maybe that was a good thing. Hopefully her huge wings wouldn't cause much attention to her. So she made her way over to the punch bowl and right off the bat she could tell that it was spiked. But maybe it was meant for that. Picking up a cup off the table she poured a little in it and downed the small bit in one gulp then another and another until she stopped and stood there with her hands crossed across her slender figure waiting to see if anyone would acknowledge her presence. Oh how Yvette loved the chase. Not just to chase, she didn’t mind being the object in peril. She didn’t even mind being objectified. There was the pedestrian knowledge of being in complete and utter control even in the midst of uncertainty there was placidity. She could not predict her sibling’s response but that hardly mattered, if Yvette had been shoved she would have followed through and Giselle and Yvette shared lineage. It was through faith that she waited for her sibling to arrive. In fact as she had wandered away from the eldest Audley sister the sound of a keening hiss reached her carefully tuned lobes.
Vet sneered, gifted – for all intensive purposes – with prodding others into doing as she pleased. With the least amount of effort. It was all a game for Yvette, and she would easily admit it. She was quite content to waltz through the crowd, clearly the child at play in this stuffy atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be separating, lines drawn while couples were splitting here and there. Was there trouble in paradise? Obviously there were some who were just too wicked for their own good and their cruelty made them black sheep in social situations.
The Frenchwoman would undoubtedly fit into one of those categories sooner or later. She was a creature who was either adored or hated but once you’d come into contact with her, verbal or otherwise, maintaining passivity was improbable. There was no way to look at Yvette that wasn’t alluring, intimidating or amusing. It was the nature of the beat. A blessing and a curse and she welcomed them both. Her displeasure at the amount of vampires and the raging lack of mortals was hidden by the devious grin that played over the immortal’s features as she topped the stairs.
Those that congregated in the smoke room were of little consequence – why would she trouble herself with the pedestrians when she had an Audley to play with? Almost skipping at the thought of her pissed off sibling trailing the stairwell after her, she nibbled absent mindedly at her lower lip and shut the doors to the balcony behind her. Giselle would be arriving shortly but to be quite honest, Yvette did not concern herself with listening for her sister. Giselle was intelligent. Killing an offender before speaking was simply in poor taste. Unless she was just having a bad day. In which case she would need to defend herself quickly.
That was easy enough though – leap off the balcony. Problem solved. There in that moment Giselle made her arrival. Good timing, sis. A brow ascended at the cold words endowed her. Almost purring, she smiled serenely and turned to face her sibling. Arching a brow, she was silent for several moments – ogling Giselle thoughtfully. They had the same eyes, which made it quite easy to decipher Ms. Audley’s feelings. Aw. Pissed off much? A quiet smirk announced itself on the female’s countenance as she shook her head in a maddening fashion.
“You look taller from far away, Giselle.” It was said with some distraction and she took note of the weapon that the woman held. “That would be imprudent.” Yet another careless observation before she sighed – doomed to respond to her annoying commands, she smiled and leaned against the balcony railing while her brows ascended slowly. “You know that whole thing where your father is supposed to be dead? Well he is. Just not as soon as you probably hoped.” Shrugging lazily, she glanced over the edge and breathed a quiet sigh – playing off a calm demeanor when those devilish eyes conveyed that this was all so much fun for her.

img102.imageshack.us/img102/1704/lines.png"]
The night air had a chilly edge to it, which was made more prominent by the gentle breeze that stirred the dead leaves and candy bar wrappers that rested near the sidewalk. The sun had just set behind the horizon and the moon was just beginning to rise, joining the stars in illuminating the earth and those who dwelt upon it. Their light was outshined, however, by streetlamps and flashing strobe lights emanating from every other building. The streets were littered with people either, most in costume, on their way to one party or another. Annabelle smiled. She doubted any of these human celebrations could compare to the one to which she was headed. Then again, she underestimated humans a lot. Most of them were pretty good people, she knew that from experience. Still, she couldn't help but be a bit biased. As much good as she had seen in the human race, there was an equal amount of bad. Things of this world liked to be equal. That, too, she had learned form experience. But she was getting sidetracked.
The vampire girl was pulled back into reality by a shrill cackle from one of the people with whom she was traveling. She was with a group, actually; a group of vampires. It wasn't much of a group, consisting of only three members, but it was a group nonetheless. Annabelle always felt better with people. One of the things she disliked the most was being alone. It was right up there with her dislike of fire. Dreadful thing, fire. Little fires were fine, but not the big ones. The big ones you had to watch for.
Once again, Annabelle was pulled back into reality by the voice of one of her companions, this time directed toward her. "Sorry?" she replied, not having been paying attention.
Her friend, Claire, giggled. "You seem distracted. Something on your mind?"
Annabelle considered. "No, not really. Just the usual stuff. Parties, philosophy, girls, New York." She shrugged and grinned.
"Well, you won't be here tomorrow. I might not see you again, so you'd better enjoy this." Claire replied with a wink and a grin.
Annabelle grinned right back. "You'll see me again, don't you worry about that. I doubt you could avoid it." She had no doubt that she would see all of these people again someday, especially Claire. She was nice and pretty interesting and very pretty. Annabelle wished she was as pretty as Claire, but supposed she would just have to deal with what she had. Tonight just happened to be Annabelle's last night in New Orleans. She would be leaving for New York City the next night, an extemporaneous decision that she had made only a few days ago. It had been completely out of nowhere, which was typical for Annabelle. She wasn't a planner and lived her life in the moment, making it up as she went along. That was just how she rolled.
She didn't get to dwell on it much, for after a few more moments they arrived at the warehouse at which the party was being held. The three of them entered into the nice foyer, where there were two staircases leading upstairs. Claire and her husband, Matthew, started up the stairs, and just before they reached the top Claire called down a playful, "Go make friends!" And then they were gone, leaving Annabelle by herself. Wonderful, she thought. Make friends... yeah. That shouldn't be too hard. Annabelle was very friendly! She thought she was, at least. She tried to be.
Sighing and relinquishing the pout on her face, Annabelle put on her best smile and walked into the larger room beyond the foyer. This room was very nicely decorated, with very real looking skulls hanging from the ceiling and lace spiderwebs on the windows. To the sides were tables with cute little gourds and voodoo dolls upon them to serve as decoration. To one side there was a liquor bar so long it took up half of the space on one wall, and across from it -- Annabelle laughed out loud. A fountain of blood. That was probably the most brilliant thing she'd seen all day. Not only did it serve as refreshment for the vampires, it also fit the scene very nicely.
Having no one else to talk to, Annabelle scanned the room for someone who looked interesting. Immediately, a pair of lacy, feathery, elaborate wings caught her eye. Was that... was that a Victoria's Secret angel? How fun was that? Annabelle smiled and strutted over to the punch bowl by which her prey-- er, new friend was standing. The click-clack sound of her high-heels on the wooden floor was drowned out by the music, so she didn't think that this girl had heard her coming. "Hey." she said amiably, a large grin forming on her face as she stopped right beside the girl with the punch.

and i've been dying to get out,but that might be the death of me
Rose Decumbry, a new name, but yet just another beautiful vampire. Her looks shall not be lost on isabella, as she will indeed remember the face and name for later, hopefully for a good meeting instead of something worse. However, at the time, the young woman isn't of the major concern, but instead it is all about Inora. The beautiful blonde she has gotten to know, wishingnto hopefully get some alone time with her and talk, which they never have really done yet. However, another presence had made an appearance, a male.
As the man makes his presence known through his voice, Inora turns towards him, seeming to notice noone but that guy. Easily identifying another woman with a crush on someone, it is best to try and leave these two alone for now. However, before she can turn away and slink into the shadows for now, Inora manages to tun towards her. Introductions are a formal way to go, so she will casually meet this Dominic before excusing herself. Unwilling to mingle when an acquaintance is clearly fsscinated by someone and possibly falling in love isn't a place to hang around and interfere. So in courteous manner, isabella offers her hand forth to Dominic, uttering a simple 'Hello' to him.
Free to do as she wishes now, having seen him courteous and presenting herself, she turns towards Inora once more. "I see you are going to be busy dear, so come find me later when we can chat privatley, ok?". Feeling saatisfied about having met two new acquaintances, she sets off therefore wandering about aimlessly. Without a soul in sight that is easily recognizable, finding someone to aimlessly spend some time with until Nora is free is the challenge. So many options, but such little excitement. The main focus of her reasoning for coming to this isn't here yet, possibly not coming at all.
However, there are a lot more possibilities. Catching up with someone else might not be possible as a lot of these people are strangers to her. So instead, waiting to see what occurs shall be the ideal fortune for her. Hopefully he shows, as she is really wondering whom this man is, placing him in her past somewhere, but not completely sure how he fits in. So instead, Isabella just walks away and is wandering around waiting for someone or something to make it exciting for her.

Lars glanced down at his blistered hand as the bartender shot him a weary look, sliding the drink across the bar and removing the candle from it's place near Lars. Damn right. The bartender was human, most likely aware of the presence of vampires, and fearful about the fact that Lars may be one of those kinds. If they have a reason to kill, such as being a little ticked off, and a simple burn could ignite that, should the whole scenario be wary? Not exactly. no need for Mr. Liquor to fret. Lars could compromise with just sitting there with a pout on his face, his brows furrowed, just annoyed at his previous unpleasant event.
He shook his hand once more before picking up his drink, sipping at it. With a sigh he set it down again. Suddenly, a scent wafted to his every instinctual impulse and mental addiction. Was that the lovely combination of tobacco and tar? Why yes, yes it was. His mouth watered for a cigarette, he licked his lips starting to ruffle through his pockets to find his lighter and pack. He quickly found his silver lighter and slammed it on the table gently, but to his dismay could not locate his precious Marlboro reds.
"Goddammit!" he cursed to himself exasperatedly, clenching his fists in his pockets before laying his palms flat on the table, glancing around for his fellow smoker. Luckily enough, the said person he was looking for came straigh to him, a taller vampire with handsome young features. He inquired about his hand, Lars just shrugged, announcing, "Shit happens, it'll be fine," before pointing to the cigarette in the other's hand, "Mind giving up one of those?" Smooths weren't his cig of choice, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Waiting for a denial or extended cigarette, Lars eyes the crowd behind them. His mouth split into a grin at what seemed to look like a stripper. A few chortles were released, and Lars contemplated cat calling the human girl - just for shits and giggles of course. It would be cruel really, for nothing was worse than being jostled and made fun of by a dashing young man as himself - to really get nothing in return. You know, it all seemed like flirting, the poke and making fun, might seem quite flattering in the very moment, just to be recognized in that image - but then when you find it went nowhere, and all you were was an object of sheer amusement. Well that's when you started calling yourself an idiot. Now the only thing Lars had to decide was whether he should go through with his little teasing scheme. Was he feeling mean tonight, to risk the little human's feelings for his own amusement? Well... yes. It wasn't that Lars had any problem with strippers, which, in his case it what he thought her so called costume was. For all he knew she just came back from work. Ha! Lars had dated a stripper, his sire was sort of a stripper. She didn't have to get topless every night - but it wasn't out of the question. Point of the matter is - that she held significant elegance in and away from the club especially. Yo wouldn't Ruby Matilda Monroe at some Halloween party half naked, no she had a tad more sense than that. Brash move, this beach blonde made, one that Lars wouldn't let go unnoticed. In a get up like that - you're asking for it. With his wide fanged smile away from the direction of the punch bowl, Lars went straight faced again to the man next to him, "My name's Lars, by the way." [/blockquote] THIS POST IS TAGGED TO: AIDYN & GABRIELLA(KINDA GET READY FOR IT, HA). Kia held back a growl as she saw her friend beaming at her like she'd just won the lottery. Damn her and her scheming ways. "Ecstatic! I figured you would come after that message I left you. And I meant it too."
The she-wolf frowned, biting her lower lip a bit as she folded her arms across her chest. "Yeah, I know. Hence why I'm here, dammit all." Even though Nixie had become a vampire, and the smell of undead wreaking from her friend was something she was going to have to get used to, it was at least nice to know that Phoenix had maintained part of her spirit. That devilish nature and mischief maker, Nix always managed to get into trouble somehow.
Nix looked slightly frantic and could sense the change in her mood almost instantly. That was the downfall of having best frends like Katra and Nix. They could sense each other's thoughts, practically, if they weren't too careful. The sisterhood between them was frighteningly strong and she knew that if she wasn't careful, Kia's own thoughts could slip up in the mix. The fact that what Kodiak, the male werewolf she'd stumbled across in New York and found out about Nix's transformation from him, still shook her up even now was an unsettling thing.
Kia couldn't help but feel like this whole thing was hitting a lot closer to home than she would have liked to admit.
"Well well Kia. Find any lost treasures? Nixie. Looking purrfect."
Kia frowned as she heard her friend approaching. Even though she was going to make a witty comeback, she couldn't help but stop herself short at seeing Katra's costume. She was dressed like Selene, the vampire protagonist in the film Underworld. Blue contacts and fangs, Kia nearly felt her jaw falling slack. Ignoring her friends' comments, Kia lightly tapped Kat on the shoulder. "Well Katra Maguire...doesn't this bring back memories? I recall the night you and I first met." She smirked, running a hand through her bangs. "It was that very same night I went and saw that damn movie."
As the pleasantries were passed along, Kia watched the male companion who was with Nixie take his leave. Her cerulean eyes followed the man in the Batman costume, but she said nothing. Instead, she looked back at her two friends as the conversation continued. They were speaking on the matter of Nixie's daughter, whom Kia had had the pleasure of seeing before taking her leave to find the child's mother in New York. "You brought Damien..."
Kia looked toward the door where Nixie's eyes had just been and she saw the male. Was that Nixie's mate? She decided not to pry. "Well, here's to hoping that nothing catastrophic happens." Kia's eyes flickered to the bar where she saw a flare up happen with one of the males and she immediately reached for her guns. Even if they appeared to be props, they were very real. Seeing as the situation had been alleviated and it was, in fact, just an accident, Kia relaxed but kept her hand on her weapon. "So anyway, like I was saying...I hate coming to things like this. Kat? Where's that husband of yours?"

Halloween is Cataleena's favorite day of the year She loves to dress up and be "out" of her element. As she walked through the Halloween store she thought about what she would like to be this year. Last year she was a witch. The year before she was Private eye. This year she was thinking she wanted to be something no one else would be.
What should I be this Halloween She thought to herself when the sales associate came around the corner. "Tienes algo que es..." Leena was about to ask if they had sexy costumes, but the words would not come out. The tall, round faced, woman looked at her and nodded as if to say "I know what you mean". She led her to the back of the shop. In front of Leena were racks full of costumes. A huge sign indicated that they were the "ADULTOS" meaning Adult. She looked through them, sighing every now and again. Unsatisfied she turned to walk away, when a glimmer caught her eye. She turned to see what it was. She picked up the silver part of a glove. The more she pulled she longer the glove became. Finally, She pulled the costume free. It was the cat-woman suit from the movie "Batman Returns". She smiled as she looked over the pleather costume. She was in and out of the change room in less then a minute. The costume was form fitting and hugged her curves like a glove. The headpiece was tight also, but it looked good. She looked down towards the feet and noticed she would need to buy some boots. Her favorite type of shopping. More stilettos. She thought.
She placed the costume on the counter and waited to for clerk to ring it in. She sighed as the tall, round faced woman from before took her time folding the costume. When she was finished and the costume was paid for she headed for the door. Outside was her Red Mercedes-Benz Class C. Leena loved the fall season. It got dark outside early making it easier for her to go shopping. She drove to the nearest shoes store and went inside. Took her a while to find the perfect pair but she did it. Knee high leather stilettos. She smiled as she walked out of the doors. She still had time to change and get to the party "fashionably late".
Her hotel was only two blocks away and it's not like she needed to speed, but she loved the rush. The streets were filled with people, drinking and laughing and having a good time. Leena took the back way. She was in her room in less then five minutes. She put her costume on and left the headpiece off so that she could do her hair. Cataleena's hair was naturally wavy so she needed to straighten it. It took her 20 minutes to get all her hair done. She put the headpiece on, a little bit of lip stick, grabbed her long coat, and headed out of the door.
The music was already playing, Leena could hear that there were many people there. Butterflies fluttered through her stomach. Oh boy I hope this is going to be fun.Leena is wearing This with These on her feetWord count is 512[/blockquote]

He had been traveling from country to country for the last few short weeks since his discovering in New York. A few weeks ago, he had stumbled across a vaccine that a vampire named Sevanni Black had created that allowed him to cancel out the lycan genetic code, effectively turning a lycan back into a human. He had used this vaccine on two of his kind, to his knowledge, before he had come across it and destroyed all traces of the vile stuff, along with any hopes Sevanni could have harbored to remake it.
Since then, he had been traveling around the world, making sure that there wasn't a single trace of the stuff remaining. He had found none in London, Paris, Italy, Australia, or any other place that he could think of. Now, just to be certain, he was in New Orleans, checking things out in the deep south. Though he hadn't heard rumors of the disgusting vampire who had come up with the vile stuff that was being used against his kind, he had to be thorough. Neither he nor Acid liked the idea of this stuff having been in existence period, and Acid had ordered every drop of the stuff to be destroyed by Kodiak personally. And Kodi was only too happy to oblige.
He had also heard of the costume party that was to be held that night, and he had decided that he would drop by. He knew that vampires were allowed there as well, but he could keep his temper for a hour or two, just long enough to stop by and do some eavesdropping for the Bane. He couldn't very well pass up the opportunity to try and gather more information. Plus, he figured that Acid would rather drop dead then show up at this party. The only reason he could think of for his brother, best friend, and pack Alpha Acid to be there, would be to publicly kill vampires, and to declare himself to the world... And the Bane wasn't quite ready for that just yet. They were still gathering their forces, biding their time... Soon, though. Very soon. And he didn't think that Kanna would be there, seeing as she had been the only one of the two of them who had made it to the Bonfire... He was supposed to go with her, but some things had come up, and Acid had excused him from that gathering. Leaving their Gamma to go alone. And she never really liked being away from the pack base in Germany, so he didn't think that she would be caught dead here. Especially with vampires there.
So, he had went and bought a costume that he found would be both suitable and very amusing for the party, a Van Helsing costume. He even got a actual crossbow and threw it over his shoulder, looking at himself in the mirror of his hotel room. He shook his head slightly, slinging the crossbow behind him, though still within easy reach should a vampire get a little too hissy with him. The crossbow and the arrow that was nuked in place was most definitely not a prop.
Twenty minutes later, he found himself standing outside the doors of the building where the party was being held, taking the last breath of fresh air that he would take until he decided he had enough and he left. Walking up the stairs like a school boy dreading to go into school, he opened the doors and his sharp icy blue eyes automatically went from face to face of everyone who was there.
One person in particular caught his attention, a Asian she-wolf who he had met the night after he had destroyed Sevanni's vaccine and the twins who's DNA were responsible for the creation of it, along with all other documented forms that could help make it again. She had been looking for her friend, Phoenix McKenzie, and refused to leave without answers. She had heard him say her name when he was leaving Acid a message that night, and he couldn't help but smile at the memory. She had been so determined, ready to beat him to a bloody pulp if he didn't give her the information that she wanted.
He made his way towards the bar, catching the female's eye, Kokia had been her name, and he nodded in her direction in greeting. For a single instant, he found himself captivated by her strange blue eyes, eyes that he could see himself being able to drown in if he allowed himself. So he looked away, leaving her to mingle with her friends, the blond he knew was Phoenix McKenzie, but he didn't know who the other girl was.
He sat at the counter next to a female lycan who had her face partially covered with a ninja mask. He blinked, shocked at the scent that was one the female. "Kanna?" He had thought she would have tore Acid a new one if he made her come to yet another event, especially one like this. He flashed a grin at the she-wolf, his icy blue eyes dancing with barely suppressed amusement. "So, I guess the hermit has decided to come out of her hole in Germany yet again, huh?" He said teasingly, ordering a Jack on the Rocks.

Bonnie walked into the party room and her eyes widened at what she saw. It was the ultimate Halloween Party! First, she handed her invitation this random guy gave her to the doorman. She scanned the whole room and slowly started walking deeper into the midst of the party. She wished she wore another outfit instead of her Mother Nature Costume. Sure the costume was cute but it didn't say sexy like everyone else's. I should have worn my Vampire costume she thought to herself and sighed. She lifted her chin and rolled back her shoulders in good posture, hoping to make her costume look better. Bonnie caught glimpses of some other girls and smiled to herself... Her costume might not be the sexiest but she was much prettier than a lot of the other girls there. Then he self-esteem dropped dead. There standing next to the punch was a girl dressed in an angel costume. Bonnie looked her up in down, sizing her up, her wings were huge and were probably there to draw attention to her, she was wearing a bra with underwear and high heels. Bonnie knew that should wouldn't have been able to wear anything like that because she probably would've felt naked and exposed. She tried to shake her envy away and walked to the over to the punch bowl pretending not to notice the "angel girl". After having a cup of punch Bonnie had wandered about the party examining the decorations. She stopped and wrinkled her nose at a familiar scent of blood. It made her head throb and nauseated her. Wow, they must take these parties seriously here... she thought. Bonnie speed walked away, trying her hardest not to trip in her heels. She looked through her little clutch for her Twilight Woods perfume bottle, after finding it she sprayed some on her neck. She grinned for being so clever, using a woodsy scent for her Mother Nature costume was a great idea. As she passed some guys at the bar she did her famous half smile, hoping to dazzle them. She didn't look back to see if any would follow her because she knew she would look desperate. But of course, she was desperate she needed a guy to dance with to show that she wasn't some girl no one knew but she was actually someone outside of this party. Kanna noted the disgusted looks at her entrance. Like she cared. No, she didn't. She didn't even want to be there at this moment. But she knew that Acid wouldn't have wanted to set one single toe in this place, let alone attend some party. He was usually good at attending functions, mostly social functions that pertained to just werewolves.
The Gammess of the Bane frowned slightly as she downed her second drink for the evening. Well this was annoying. Nothing of interest was happening, save for a vampire getting his hand caught on fire. She smiled behind her mask, feeling as though he probably deserved it. Then again, who was she to judge. There were a few reactions, but Kanna mentally shrugged. It wasn't her problem to deal with putting out a fire on a leech. They bragged about their immortality enough, they could put out their own damn fires.
"Kanna?"
Whirling her head around, she glared hotly at the newcomer who'd approached her. However, she blinked in surprise at seeing her Beta dressed as Van Helsing. Thankfully he was the only one who had determined who she was by her scent. It shouldn't have come as that much of a surprise to her. Kanna was constantly in Munich, keeping those rowdy and excited werewolves at bay. They were all so anxious to launch their war on the Night Walkers. But Acid still had so much preparation to do.
"So, I guess the hermit has decided to come out of her hole in Germany yet again, huh?"
She scoffed, pulling her mask down for a split second to sip her drink. "Oh shut it, Kodi," she said, rolling her eyes as she looked at him, quipping a brow. "What the hell are you doing here? If I'd known you were coming, I would have stayed back in Germany." She leaned forward so that she could whisper into his ear without other ears prying in on the conversation. "How are things progressing? Have you completed the mission Acid sent you on?"

When she walked over to their group of friends she was pleased to see Kia and Nix. She wasnt surprised to see Nix here and she had been threatened by Kia. So obviously Nix had a hand in Kia being here. Probably threatened her as well. It didnt come as a surprise. But she smiled at the both of them and then glanced towards the companion that was with Nix by her side. It didnt take her long to recognize that scent. She knew that scent anywhere. It was one that she had hated for years now. And one she had become to familiar with seeing as she had busted Nix out of his place not once, but twice.
A growl grew in her throat and she glared at Sevanni Black. This was not a vampire she wanted to see and one she didnt want to be around. Not after all the hell he had put her through and her pack. And not after what he had done to Nix. He had in a way taken away her best friend. Both Kia and herself would grow old and die. Would change on a full moon. Nix wouldnt anymore. She would forever be the spunky beautiful girl she knew as her best friend. But there was nothing she could do about it.
Kia asked who the man was and she was about to answer for Kia when Sevanni excused himself. Her glare followed him across the room and she bared her teeth slightly, the teeth of her wolf showing even more now. Her eyes that tawny color even behind the blue contacts. They seemed to be on fire. And it was starting to get harder for her to control the urge to change and the urge to rip into the vampires. Maybe she shouldnt have come after all. Could she hold her cool?
But before she could say another word, Nix turned to her and asked about Aura. Her eyes slowly dimmed down and she sighed, shaking her head. "Aura is fine Nix. You really dont think I wouldnt take care of her would you?" She gave a small grin and her eyes softened gently. "I think of her as one of my own. She reminds me a lot of you. Already getting into trouble with my two pups as well." She told her and ruffled up Nix's hair, knowing it would bug her friend because it always had before. She really did miss Nix. It was a wound that would never heal and she would never stop hurting from.
Her gaze slid back to Kia though as she brought up a memory from long ago. She had been looking for Ali when she first found out that she was alive. Running into Kia had been interesting and at first they were more distant then anything else. But they eventually grew into a good friendship and now were best friends. Their first conversation had been about that very movie. "That is very true. I forgot about that. But now its as clear as day." She grinned and when she spotted someone walking around with drinks on a tray she snatched one up and took a sip.
She noticed movement out of the corner of her eye and she also spotted Nix looking toward the very person that had caught her eye. She had been asked if she was alone and in reality she had hoped to bring two people with her. Only one had shown up. She had a feeling her husband wasnt coming either. Her gaze was curious as she noticed Damien with another woman, and leaving out the back door towards the balcony. "What is that mutt up to?" She muttered under her breath and then turned to Nix. "I did bring him. He has been nothing but a lazy ass. He needed to get out of that house. His club is almost run into the ground because he hardly goes anymore...." She said and then shut up. Talking about Damien wouldnt be a good idea with Nix.
At Kia's question, her eyes darkened again. Tristan. She wished she knew where he was. She truly did. He did things behind her back now and she wasnt happy about it. She wasnt happy at all. Her grip tightened on her drink before she answered Kia, her voice laced with venom. "Hell if I know where the fuck Tristan is." She growled out, her grip tightening so much that the glass broke and shattered in her hand, cutting into her skin. But Kat didnt seem to notice that. Her eyes were filled with pain, and anger. She just wanted Tristan back home.

Yeah, I know. Hence why I'm here, dammit all. Nix smiled and stuck her tongue out quickly at Kia. She knew that Kia didn't like parties, not in the least, but dammit all, she hadn't seen her friend in a long time... Well, not since the Paris incident, anyway. "You love me, Kia darling. Always remember that, no matter what, you always love your NixiePixie."
Nix saw the look on Katra's face, and immediately she began to wonder if making Kia come tonight had been a good idea or not... Once Kia found out who Sevanni was... Kia would start a fight with no hesitation. Kia's words from that night in Paris came back to her, and she mentally groaned... But she had desperately wanted to see a friend who HADN'T bared witness to what had happened at Alaska... and that required the friend to be lupine, since all her vampire friends had somehow managed to be there on that horrible night... She couldn't believe that she had lost control like that... Though, she was thankful that she had enough of a mind set to get to somewhere remote, and she was relieved to know that she hadn't spilled a child's blood... But still...
Her moss green eyes looked at Kat, silently begging her friend to not reveal the identity of Sevanni to Kia, she did not want tonight to end in bloodshed, especially for the she-wolf who had been such a good friend to her. Who Phoenix knew, without a doubt, would make good on her word... Oh god... If either of them were to ever find out about Alaska... The thought alone made her want to cry... At the very least, she would end up losing the only two living and breathing friends that she had left. Only a small bit of relief came when Kat took her eyes away from Sevanni, and tuned into the direction Nix had turned the conversation.
Aura is fine Nix. You really dont think I wouldnt take care of her would you? I think of her as one of my own. She reminds me a lot of you. Already getting into trouble with my two pups as well. Phoenix smiled, white teeth flashing at hearing that her daughter was already taking after her. It was bittersweet, however. The one thing she had always wanted... She finally got it... and then she had to give her up only days after her birth... To think about her daughter, especially since she was apparently already following in her mother's troublemaker footsteps, left a mixture of amusement, joy, and pain within her. Giving her daughter up to Katra had been the hardest thing she had ever done in her entire life... But it had been for the best. She didn't want Sevanni Black anywhere near her daughter.
"No, that's not it. I'm glad she gets along with your own pups so well... What are their names?" Paris had been so hectic, that Nix couldn't even congratulate her on having her set of twins, nor had she even found out their names. She did, however, know it was a boy and a girl, but that was because Kat had known that while she was still residing in the pack house. "The pack will have their hands full once those three begin to walk."
I did bring him. He has been nothing but a lazy ass. He needed to get out of that house. His club is almost run into the ground because he hardly goes anymore.... She refused to look out towards the balcony, where Damien had walked out towards. She kept her eyes trained on Kat and Kia, absolutely refusing to look away from them. She still had feelings for Damien, this was true... And it killed her to know that she was the cause for his grief. Her life would have been so much simpler had Sevanni not found her again... He had a knack for finding her, just when everything in her life seemed to be looking up... And then he came and took a machete to her pretty little delusion.

"You love me, Kia darling. Always remember that, no matter what, you always love your NixiePixie." Kia rolled her eyes. Well that was fact, but it didn't freaking matter just how much she loved the damn girl. She was dragged out here, again, to this damn function that she didn't want to go to in the first place. Kia was nagged to go to the Bonfire, but she didn't. It had nothing to do with her and she wasn't going and that was that.
Kia's blue eyes caught Katra's gaze following after the man who had excused himself. That expression in those pools were not friendly and she couldn't help but wonder who in the hell that was. She was about to confront Nixie about again, but kept her mouth shut. Things weren't the same between the three. It was painfully obvious. Katra had her own hands full with the pack back in Paris, Nixie was a vampire and keeping secrets (or at least Kia felt like they were being kept) and Kia was, as always, out of the loop of things. What she'd discovered that night in New York when everything happened, the meeting with Kodiak Sangras and his information regarding this Sevanni Black.
The she-wolf would rip out his intestines and hang him with them.
"Aura is fine Nix. You really dont think I wouldnt take care of her would you? I think of her as one of my own. She reminds me a lot of you. Already getting into trouble with my two pups as well. Phoenix smiled, white teeth flashing at hearing that her daughter was already taking after her." Katra spoke with a light tone to her voice and Kia focused her attention back on the Alphess. It was so strange. Katra being a center figure of authorit. But it made sense...Kat, after the incident within the pack, things were slowly falling apart. Kat had mended the hearts of the downtrodden in the group. "That is very true. I forgot about that. But now its as clear as day." The two smirked at each other, their fangs showing to indicate what had happened on that night. It was quite amusing that they both had taken down a vampire. No blood was spilled, but it had proven to be the birth of a beautiful friendship.
"No, that's not it. I'm glad she gets along with your own pups so well... What are their names?" Kia rolled her eyes and smirked, folding her arms across her chest. Both of them were mothers now. It was crazy. Time certainly had flown and flown fast. It felt like it wasn't that long ago that the three of them were just a trio of rag-tag werewolves out to prove their worth. The three had formed their own pack - their own bonding sisterhood. It was crazy that they were so close, yet so far apart from each other. Nixie was a mother and now a vampire. Katra was the mother and Alphess of a pack.
Kia...? Her smile fell slightly as her cerulean hues fell to the ground. She was the only one who had stayed the same out of the three. No responsibilities. No goals, except to get stronger and wiser in regards to worldly matters. Kia had traveled the world and seen so many different place, different hardships and experienced the pain of others. Her mind was stronger, as was her body. She'd gone to Africa and Australia, to New Zealand and Russia, back to Southeast Asia where she stayed in Tibet at a temple for four months to bring new discipline to her mind. But in matters of the heart, Kia knew nothing. She had nothing. There was nothing to explore, nothing to give...nothing to create.
A deep ache filled Kia's heart suddenly and she bit her lower lip, frowning and turning her head away from the conversation. She couldn't stand much more of this family talk. Not when she didn't know what the hell to think about it. "The pack will have their hands full once those three begin to walk."
Kia's eyes saw someone else gaining entrance and she scrutinized for a moment, not quite sure what this all entailed. Was that really who she thought it was? Kodiak...
"Hell if I know where the fuck Tristan is." Her ears heard the sound of cracking glass and she turned in time to see that Katra had shattered the glass in her hand. Kia's eyes widened slightly and she slapped the remaining shards out of Katra's hand, turning it over in her palm and frowning. She shook her head, her bangs falling across her forehead before she sighed and looked back at her friend. "Dammit Kat," she said half to herself. "You...just you...I'll be right back." Kia eyed Nixie. "Keep her from breaking anything else, will you?"
This would give her a good enough excuse to go to the bar and see if that was really in fact Kodiak Sangras at the bar with the female wolf who was dressed as a Ninja. She asked the bartender for a clean rag and some whiskey - the bottle if he would be so kind. That would help clean the wounds Katra had brought on herself and keep it from being infected. As the barkeep handed her the requested items, Kia looked over her shoulder and saw that smirk of his and rolled her eyes. Leaning back against the bar, Kia cleared her throat a bit. "Not out being sneaky like you always are, Kodiak? I'm surprised to see you at a function such as this."

Oh shut it, Kodi, What the hell are you doing here? If I'd known you were coming, I would have stayed back in Germany. How are things progressing? Have you completed the mission Acid sent you on?" He smiled at her, the fierce Gamma of the Bane. "I didn't even know that I was going to be here. I came across the party by chance, and I didn't think you would let Acid talk you into leaving again, and I knew Acid would rather chew off his own arm then come to this place and actually have to play nice, so I decided I would do a little bit of snooping." His voice was pitched low, and he was leaned in so that Kanna and Kanna only could hear the words that were uttered. It wouldn't do for a bloodsucker to over hear their conversation and get a little too curious. "That's what I'm doing in New Orleans, making sure that there isn't other strands floating around here somewhere. But, in all honesty, I'm certain I destroyed all of it back in New York."
He sensed her coming up behind him, but he made sure that he didn't turn around and start a conversation up with her. Kia seemed like the type who liked her privacy, and if she wanted to talk to him, she would start up the conversation herself. When he heard a female clearing her throat, and then the words that followed, he could have smiled, and he did in fact, as he turned to face her.
Not out being sneaky like you always are, Kodiak? I'm surprised to see you at a function such as this. "Good to see you again too, Kokia." He paused to take in her eyes, so vivid and shocking, just like the woman herself. He took in the items that the barkeep had handed to her, and his eyes briefly glanced back at the group that he had seen Kia with when he first came in. Sure enough, the brunette woman had blood steadily dripping from her hand, and shards of glass lay at her feet. The blond who he knew as Phoenix McKenzie was looking rather haggard, and was very obviously holding her breath. He didn't know whether to feel pity for her or not. She had, after all, been one of their own, before that beast Sevanni Black had gotten his claws into her. It had to be hard on her, being a new vampire, and having fresh blood pouring from the skin of her friend, so close to her.
His eyes turned back to Kia in an instant, and he stood, draining his glass of Jack and coke as he did so, sliding the now empty glass back to the barkeep. "Sometimes, the best place to be sneaky, is right under your enemies nose. The place that they least expect you to be." He tilted his head to one side ever-so slightly, a piece of sandy blond hair falling into his face and covering one icy blue eye. He wanted to talk with her more than what he had, he wasn't quite sure why, but something about this fierce she-wolf had him completely enthralled.
He came up with a idea that might work, depending on her answer. He definitely wasn't sure that she would agree, why should she? But, there was only one way to find out, and that was to ask. "When you're done helping your friend with the cut hand, Kokia, would you like to dance with me? Please? I promise, I won't step on your toes." He said, smiling genuinely at the woman standing before him. If she said no, then he would have to think of something else, but he sincerely hoped that she didn't, that she said yes. It would give him the opportunity to find out exactly what it was about this warrior woman that had him so captivated.
