No... He did not know. He would never know. Pressed against him as she was, craddeled in his arms and breathing heavily with her hair spread out behind her in a silken and slightly frizzed river, she found herself growing weary. Yes... She was quite tired now. But sleep would not come to her this night. Not when she was filled with so much worry. So much fear. When would he be leaving, as she knew that he must, and would he come back? Where would she find him if he did not return? After all, she could seek him out and find him easily enough. But that would be dangerouse for the both of them. Morgan was so very human. That being so, if she showed too much interest in him, the other elders of her kind would pressure her into turning him. Unless they saw her as weak for loving a mortal... In wich case two things could happen. One, she could be cast from her position; An outcast and nameless. Or, worse... Assassins could be sent sent for both of them. Her own coven, her friends and family, would force her to go through the pain of loss once again. And have their queen done away with in the proccess. Perhaps it was better if he left her. Perhaps it was best if he forgot her. She was slow to press her lips to the hollow of Morgan's throat, fearing that even more intamacy would cause the both of them more even destress than the either of them needed in their lives. But she did it anyways, a soft smile placed upon her face as she sighed and allowed her eyes to close. She put her arms around his waist and snuggled closer to him. At least for tonight he was hers and they were safe. No one had to know that he would ever be more to her than just a one night stand. They could all think of him as her snack, if they wished.

Morgan settled into her embrace. He could feel her relax a little although she remained wary. He felt so comfortable here, just to hold her like this and be held. He grinned into the darkness and rested his chin on her head inhaling the essence that was her. There was the musk of their lovemaking in the air, but a floral scent lingered from the gardens also. There was also a spicy scent wafting in his mind, it reminded him of peat fires and green mores and ever present rain. He thought of Ireland, and knew that in her blood was the tang of the Emerald Isle.
He drifted in his thoughts, eventually losing himself to drowse lightly. He noticed that her breathing and pulse were so faint to his ears and marvelled at how delicate this made her appear to him. Not a weakness, but a delacacy. His masculinity made him want to protect her. He almost chuckled at this thought, there was still the hard as nails side of her that he knew could take him down if he misbehaved. He smiled into the night at this thought.
He felt the shift in the air as the light began to change, and he knew his time with her was drawing to a close. It was drawing on morning and he would have to make his appearance at his friends house soon. Would they wonder where he had disappeared to? Most likely not, he was an adult and the Lord of Castle Kelly, why would they care. But morning was drawing nigh, and she was most definately a Lady of high standing. He would not remain to be discovered by anyone who might think it wrong that he should be here. He had forgotten about the watchers from the previous night. Now their piercing stares were in the forefront of his conscience.
"Duskarie, M'Lady, I should be going as it is nigh on morning. I dread to leave, but it is unseemly for a woman to entertain a man all night is it not? I would not desire a visit from your protectors, I enjoy my limbs where they are," he said jokingly to lighten the mood as he knew he had to go.

Her heavy eyes fluttered open and she gazed at him for many long moments with orbs of a brilliant silver. She did not comprehend his statement at first, and it showed at her blank stare. "No. I suppose it is not respectable at all." She sat up slowly, feeling sore throughout her lower body as she slid her feet over the edge of the bed and stood. There was a wardrobe in the corner beside the heavily curtained window and she walked over to it and opened it. From within, she pulled out a night gown of thin white silk and slipped it on. The laced bottom touched her ankles and the straps were only an inch wide. "I wish to see you again, Morgan." She had returned to the bed and was leaning down to carress the mans cheek. There was a slit on the right side of her gown that ran from the ankle, all the way up to her hip. Her leg was revealed as she smiled down at him. "If you care to, you can come and visit me here in a few more days. We will be having another ball." But he did have to leave. And she could not walk with him out into the gardens. Not without running into confrontation from the others of her kind. "I will miss you, my sweet." She put her hands on his shoulders and touched her lips to his in another of their ever so passionet kisses. It was rather easy to push him back so that he was lieing on the bed with her slim form leaning over him. Her long curls made a curtain around them as she smiled through the kissing. The woman never wanted to pull away from him, even though she would have to. Dawn was only a few minutes away and her "family" was already retiring for the day. She could hear them, even if he could not. Finnally, she broke the kiss and pulled away. "You should... You should go now..."

He chuckled as she looked at him and comprehension dawned on her face. SHe was lovely first thing in the morning. His eyes followed her form as she crossed to the wardrobe and slipped a white sheath over her body. It fitted her form and contoured every curve. He liked the way it allowed him to gaze at her beauty and yet leave his imagination and memory to work the details.
She made him lose his train of thought with her nearness as she leaned over him and he fell back onto the bed. Her kiss made him want to prolong the encounter, but her words caused him to frown. He had to replay the conversation in his mind to make an appropriate reply. "If we could chance to meet again I would welcome the evening. This time has been far too short, M'Lady." He pulled up to stand keeping her in his arms. He sighed and kissed her once again before pulling away.
He looked around for his clothes, he spotted his breeches and boots together by the bed, but his shirt and waistcoat took a little more time to hunt down. He pulled his shirt on and his breeches; then tucked the top into the pants. He slipped his boots on sans socks, as he could only find one. Then he pulled his waistcoat on. He sighed and cast one final look over his shoulder as he appraised the door. He grinned as he caught her form one final time, kissed her once again, and whispered goodbye.
He didn't want to go, but he hoped to catch her as she had stated she'd be at the next ball. He slipped back out the back door they had entered through, a sort of secretive side entrance. The sun was fully in the sky now and he didn't come into contact with anyone until he was in the parlor of the Palace. He was just crossing to the front door when his friend came through it. He grinned sheepishly as they made eye contact, a smile which froze on his face as he saw the paper in the other man's hand. He had no time to explain to Duskarie, he had to go home immediately. His mother was dying. It would prove to be the last time he would see her and he had no way to contact her, only her beautiful name, Duskarie Mysteria.
((So I'm out then... ))
