Callum glanced in the mirror, ran the towel through his hair for the umpteenth time. He didn't much like the look of his hair falling down with the clothes he had picked out before his shower. A quick wipe of the towel against the glass to clear away the still gathering steam, and then a good bottle of hair gel. It didn't take too much to fix his hair up into something a bit less casual, and with a satisfied smile he exited the hotel bathroom and began to dress. But why a hotel bathroom you may ask, well simply put our dear Callum didn't own a home in London.
He lived in Chippenham, and had a lovely office with a pull out couch. Anything more was always unnecessary, as Callum often had to jump around hotels for work anyway. Slipping his socks, pants, and bleach white button shirt on he began the routine of straightening up and looking his best. It all took a good twenty minutes to get down nice, and he felt a tad girly taking so long to dress, but the final results were well worth the slight emasculinity he suffered. Throwing on his dress coat and checking in the now de-steamed mirror he gave a small vote of confidence.
"Picture perfect.
Closing his umbrella and quickly stepping up against the door of the pub, Callum glanced out at the street. The rain that embraced London this night seemed beautiful, giving the streets a reflective sheen that forced the lights of the lamp posts upward toward the heavens. Callum pushed his back against the door and slipped inside the pub, giving a grin to the bartender. Callum wasn't exactly a frequent at the pub, but he showed often enough for meetings to be known as Mr. Weller. After a short conversation that Callum really didn't care too much about, he managed a table hidden near the back in a nice private corner.
Sitting with his eyes glued to the front entrance, Callum waited for that beautiful woman to come walking through with that sweet aroma trailing behind her. He had spent the afternoon looking up nice wines, he knew what he liked but wasn't sure about her. So he just looked into the sweetest and more expensive white and red wines. The internet was a wonderful thing, as he now knew enough to run his own winery, and in a few days he could forget all but the important parts. Callum put in an order for 'something light' hoping for a nice surprise and getting a sprite. He glanced over at the bartender who seemed tickled pink at the drink he had sent.
Callum gave him a chuckle and a nod before sipping on the drink. Tonight looked promising; the air was cool, the full moon was past, and the company was to be more than pleasant. So far it was on the list of Callum's perfect night out, if he was lucky it would end that way.

It took Ixandra about three seconds after hanging up with Callum Weller to know what she had to do. She hopped into the shower quickly, only hvaing about an hour or so until she met up with the boy. They had met on the beach in New York and found they lived in the same place in England. What a small world theirs was, right? As she hopped out, with only a towel wrapped around her small body and her hair air-drying she noticed it was about to rain. Great, even better for her make-up, which she had to admit was only pink lip gloss and black eyeliner with a small hint of sky blue eyeshadow for tonight.
She placed the make-up on first then decided on what to wear. Because she wanted extra confidence and to, well, like any other girl, FEEL pretty, she put her lingerie on first, looking at herself in the mirror. Then, she blow dried her hair, brushing it out so it was straight yet had volume. She put a star hairclip set in the blonde mass at the top left side with a smile, seeing how it looked and deciding she'd keep it. Next, she placed on a small chain necklace with a light blue heart in the middle with a smile. Then she frowned at herself. Clothes, must wear clothes...
Soon basically all of her wardrobe was on her bed, her deciding what she was to wear. She only had about fifty minutes left and she was still running around in her lingerie. Placing on a tulle bustier with thin straps and a ribbon edge blue tutu, she felt dressed. Finding the only shoes she had that would match, she soon stood about three inches taller. But she was still only around five foot eight, sadly. She sighed, then realizing she was to walk the two blocks in heels. But, hey, fashion was pain and if it made hert a masochist for wanting to look pretty for a cute boy, so what?
She took one quick look in the mirror to decide she was ready. Her outfit seemed to read 'Think of me as the Barbie you'll never get to play with' yet her face read 'I'm nice, like me'. A weird combination but no one had ever said that our dear Ixi Stix was the one who was going to win a prize for being normal. Actually, a lot of people had said the exact opposite... She shrugged and smiled at the mirror, grabbing her back-up like black purse with all her things already inside and setting off for the adventure. When she was almost there it started raining on her and she smiled, loving the feel of the rain drops on her skin, slightly wetting her hair.
Within minutes, she was inside the pub, looking around for a Mister Callum Weller. The man at the bar seemed to stare at her a bit too flirtaciously it seemed and she smiled at him, spotting Cal in the corner in a private table. She smiled at Cal and started to walk towards him, with a sigh. Despite the raindrops, she still looked just as gorgeous as she had, if not more. "Callum, there you are." She said with a bit of mischief in her voice.

Callum took another drink of his sprite, only slightly annoyed that there was no alcohol or even caffeine in the glass. He checked his watch every few seconds, he wasn't nervous or anything... just that he was getting a bit anxious, excited even. Hell, it almost felt better than Christmas morning, that feeling of waking up and looking under the tree to see all kinds of pretty boxes wrapped in colorful ribbons and such. Callum finished his sprite and set the glass aside for someone to take when they passed. The pub wasn't as full as it normally was, but there was enough of a crowd to make Callum happy he had asked for the table near the back.
Another few minutes passed, and Callum took some mental notes about the people in the pub. From what he could tell it was fairly normal, no one that screamed danger or that would cause any trouble. The pub had a good reputation and Callum understood why, they even managed to control what kind of costumers they received. Then Callum's ears heard a door open, the sound of the air shifting as the entrance opened and then shut. Then the smell, sweet like cotton candy, strawberries, and peppermints. He turned his head and caught sight of his date for the evening.
He took a few things in before any others. First would be that she looked simply amazing. "Much better than Christmas." he mumbled to himself as he looked her over in her cute little dress. The next thing he noticed was that she didn't have an umbrella, he smiled to himself for bringing one. Classic cool 101, walking a girl home under the umbrella. Very romantic and a very big possibility, he hoped it kept raining. Then some of the looks that she was receiving from others, it made him feel a little annoyed and a little proud that she was his date for the night.
When she spotted Callum she walked over to greet him and he stood up to return the favor. "Callum, there you are." the way she said it gave Callum a small shiver, he liked it. He smiled at her and pulled back her chair so she could sit. "Nice to see you again, care to join me?" he asked, enjoying the fact that the answer was already yes. He sat down himself across from her and took a moment to look at her pretty features. "Did you have anything in mind, or should I order the drinks?" he asked, feeling a little bad that the first place he went was drinks for the lady but not really being able to think of much else at that particular moment.
Her day!? Moron, you should have asked her how she's been. Callum shouted at himself from inside his head. He smiled again as he tacked onto his last statement: "So how 'ave you been Ixi?" in his usual British accent.

When Callum stood to greet her, she smiled, embracing him slightly. Then, when he had pulled out her chair, she giggled under her breath. What a gentleman this one was, she noted as she sat down. Once he was before her, she leaned in close to him flirtaciously. "Nice to see you again, care to join me?" Ixandra laughed. "Hunni, if I hadn't have wanted to, I wouldn't be here right now." she stated with a grin, her Southern accent ever present. She saw him looking her over and grinned slyly, biting her lip in a slightly sexually taunting way. "Did you have anything in mind, or should I order the drinks?" She shrugged. "You should definitely order, Darlin'." she decided after a second's hesitation. This way, she could tell what he liked, whether he was a good drinker or not. She was slightly surprised though, having expected the man to ask something else before going straight to drinks. But hey, he was a guy, gentleman or not. And besides, she definitely need one after everything it had taken her to simply dress for this occasion. Which should have been simplistic, one would think... But not for a girl, oh no. MUST BE PERFECT!! -Girl rule numero uno. "So how 'ave you been Ixi?" She giggled, liking the way he said her name, the accent he had... "Well... I've been perfectly fine, I guess." She giggled. "Missed you, been in London awhile alone, it seems." She pouted for dramatic affect. "I was starting to think you'd never call me after I had given you my phone number back from that night on the beach, thought you would just forget about me..." her smile broke and she giggled. "Now I suppose I am proven wrong, eh?" She grinned at him again, eyeing him. She had almost forgotten what a cutie he was! But now, closer and in light, she could tell she had been right in her first assumption, he definitely was cute.

Callum sat across from his date, taking in her beauty with the same appreciation a man in the desert has for a drink of water. "Hunni, if I hadn't have wanted to, I wouldn't be here right now." she said with that accent of her's, it seemed so out of place in London. That kind of voice he could find even without his enhanced hearing. She bit her lip and Callum felt another tingle up his spine. She told him to order, which meant she probably knew what she wanted and he needed to pick something close or better. At least in Callum's experience that was what he needed to do. Callum was right about asking how she'd been too, she had a bit to say about that. "Well... I've been perfectly fine, I guess." She giggled. "Missed you, been in London awhile alone, it seems." She pouted for dramatic affect and it made Callum feel a bit bad. He had been in London too but too some time to let the full moon pass, not wanting to worry about time or anything of that sort.
"I was starting to think you'd never call me after I had given you my phone number back from that night on the beach, thought you would just forget about me..." her smile broke and she giggled. "Now I suppose I am proven wrong, eh?" Callum returned her smile with one of his own, more than a little releaved that she wasn't too angry with him. "Sorry about that, I had to wrap up a few loose ends with a case or two. I didn't want to have anything else on my mind tonight except you." Another smile, this time because he thought the line was a bit cheesy but perfect for the situation. He placed in an order for a light-bodied Bourdeaux.
As Callum had learned from the amazing internet, a light-bodied Bourdeaux offered a lower tannin content, with a more fruit-forward flavor and are more inviting initially. Something he thought Ixandra, with her passion for sweet scents, might appreciate. It was also best suited for beginning Bourdeaux wine drinkers, which Callum was seriously considering becoming if his date enjoyed the drink. It didn't take long for two large glasses were brought over, the liquid within looking almost black, but the edges where the light filtered through being a definite and lovely shade of red. Callum picked up his glass and swirled the liquid around.
This wine had less alcohol in it, but came in larger glasses so that the wine could breath a bit before being consumed. Callum held up the glass and examined it, though only for a moment. Once that moment had passed he was simply looking above the liquid and through the glass at Ixi. "You look beautiful." he said with a lighthearted tone in his voice. "To good company." With a slight raise of the cup to signal the toast, he pulled the glass back to his lips and took a sip. It was nice, kept at a good temperature and with a definite fruit flavored taste. He really paid more attention to Ixi than the flavor though, trying to judge what she thought of it.

"Sorry about that, I had to wrap up a few loose ends with a case or two. I didn't want to have anything else on my mind tonight except you." Okay, don't hate Ixandra for this but... the cheesy line worked. I mean, she had to know that it was a line but with that accent and those eyes, did it really matter? She smiled at him. "Aww... That's so sweet!" she said with her infamous innocent girl smile.
Ixandra looked at the red wine that was before her picking it up and letting it swish around the glass a bit, seeing the glass turn a bit pink before draining back down. Classy... but pretty damn expensive. She was happy with just about anything when it came to drinks, her favorite non-alcoholic drinks being a SunKist soda or Shirley Temple. But it was... sweet smelling, something she very much appreciated. She smiled at him... He had succeeded. Good choice.
Ixi Stix watched him from the corner of her eye, looking away for a second. Then, when he looked at her through the glass, she flipped her hair over her shoulder and looked right back, smiling sweetly.
"You look beautiful." he said and she almost blushed. "Thank you... You look very handsome yourself, Darlin'..." she said softly. "To good company." With a slight raise of the cup to signal the toast, he pulled the glass back to his lips and took a sip. "To goo company..." she agreed, following suit and sipping the wine. It was sweet, fruity. Not that much alcohol, she noted. But it was good, a smooth drink without and burn as you swallowed. "Mmm... Good choice." she said with a knowing smile. He had passed the test. Now what was she to do for the next one? One could only guess... Her smile widened and she almost laughed. SHe knew he knew, everyone knew about the way girls tested men. But, he had suceeded and she had let him know it. Now what was he to do next?

Callum felt a little nervous after giving off his line, yes it was such an obvious line that the sweet thought behind it was almost lost in... well cheesiness. At least in Callum's opinion, he was almost regretting saying it until he heard "Aww... That's so sweet!" which was instantly followed by a mental high five inside Callum's head. Honestly if Callum hadn't been distracted by other more alluring interests, he might have taken the time to think out a mental victory dance of some kind. So far everything was going along perfectly, which meant that something could easily go wrong but he was going to try and ignore that possibility for the moment.
After being told that he looked good himself, he couldn't help but smile. He managed to suppress his urge to reply with a not so modest comment of agreement, and drowned the smug jokes that tended to be a turn off in his Bourdeaux. The sweet taste was nice, though he didn't think he could take more than a glass or two of it. Not that he didn't enjoy sweet things, he glanced at Ixi's eyes, in fact he could find himself liking them more and more by the second. He just enjoyed something with a bit of bite too. "Mmm... Good choice." she said flashing him a smile that was almost bewitching. He gave himself another mental high five. Callum was fully aware of the 'tests' women put men through.
Hell, when he was younger his friends and he would compare it to jumping through flaming hoops. And yet he didn't seem to mind too much at the moment. He almost regretted that he couldn't have this date on a full moon night, it would be more romantic. Then again with the light cloud cover and rain it was about the same. Taking another small sip of the red wine, Callum went over his plans for the night. The rain was light so it would probably clear soon, meaning a walk through a park or over the Waterloo bridge wasn't out of the question. It didn't really matter what they did as long as he could keep her interest through most of the night, after that he had arranged for a surprise that he thought Ixi would like.
Until then though, that was the problem. Callum decided that the first task was to start up some talk, finish the wine, and see where things went from there. "So tell me love, what brought you to London?" Callum smiled again and set down his glass to show he was intent to listen. He had his phone turned to silent too. One of the key moves to any date was never answering a phone or shifting your attention too far away from the girl. Not that Callum could shift his attention off of the lovely Ixandra if he wanted to.

SO SORRY it's taken me so long, killer work schedule and even worse headaches. I thought I had wrote more than that sorry about that 0.0.
"So tell me love, what brought you to London?" Oh... well that was a very personal story, that was... But nothing was wrong with little white lies and half-truths. "Oh, no real reason I guess... I just really needed to get out on my own and decided to leave my country and have been here because of it... What about you? I know you're English but where form in England??" she asked, with a cute smile.
She wanted to do anythign but talk about herself and her past. That was very dangerous territory and to be quite frank, she didn't know him quite well enough to tell him that story... Maybe another night. She looked around the pub and sort of pursed her lips at a couple in the back fighting. She hated seeing people fight. After a second she turned her head back to him. He was nice. When they met she supposed he was crazy but... Well, she still wasn't too sure he wasn't.
But crazy or not he was okay. Fun. Sweet. All that and a little bit more, you know? Ixandra smiled at him, brushing her long silver strands back a little bit. Her bangs flipped back and her eyes moved to his hand, near the wine glass. Then ehr eyes went up his arm, over his shoulder and collarbone, to his neck. It hesitated there for a second before continuing it's journey up, to his lips and then to his eyes. He had very pretty eyes.
His hair gave him that shaggy, pretty look. She almost wanted to run her fingers through it. "You're very handsome, you know." she said with a smile. A compliment. She wanted to inflate his ego just a bit more, and then more and more. She wanted hsi head to grow big enough to pop. And all because of her.
