The light was fading from the sky as his eyes opened. His pale blue eyes opened wide and he sighed. He had not slept, no he had just laid there all day. Waiting. He sighed and then felt the wet nose of Margo rub his hand. He sighed. The dogs had the run of their new house, he had decided to clean up is act slightly so he could stay longer in this god forsaken town. Why? He wasn’t completely sure of that. He lifted his hand and patted Margo’s head. “Morning Margo…” He said as he sat up and looked around his bedroom. This place was not the best, but it works. He had bought it cheap, and was going to fix it up, sooner or later. As for right now, its just pretty shitty looking and he was okay with that.
Joe rubbed his face and then sat up. He was okay with this, he had decided during the day that it was time for him to meet up with an old friend from the past. He had a feeling he could find him, it was just a matter of where to look first. Though, he was sure that his first choice would be his best bet, if he would sit and wait long enough for him to show his face. Joe got up from his couch and decided to get ready for the night at hand. He would have to dress snappy… the place he was picking for his first round of searching was a to take place at the Culture Club. A common enough place… if you had 1.5 million dollars to pay for your membership.
- Two Hours Later – Approximately 11 pm –
Joe stepped out of the limo he had called, his black shiny shoes hitting the semi wet pavement. It had rained during the day and a little of the night, but it had stopped now. He stood and adjusted his suit jacket. He wore a plain pare of black dress pants and under his suit jacket, was a dark red button up shirt, that was not button all the way, and he never wore a tie. He was never a fan of the dressing up that was involved with this place, but it had been quite a long time since he had shown his face here. He rolled his eyes at the thought of the looks he might get from old acquaintances whom might of thought of him as dead. But, he was sure that this evening would not be a total waste. He shut the door of the limo and then headed towards the building.
After being greeted by some people, congratulated on not being truly dead and so on he finally made his way to the seat that he normally occupied. A small table for two in a corner, a corner where a lot of the Club could be seen. He didn’t like not knowing what was going on around him. One of the reasons he left the cities. But, he was back, and he wanted to renew some old friendships. Hopefully tonight he would get that chance. He sat there and waited, ordering only a simple Jack on the rocks to pass the time. He sipped it and watched the ice melt, only being bothered occasionally by people asking if he needed anything, or if he wanted any company. His answer was no to everyone, and would be no to everyone except one. Sevanni.
