She was pretty sure that by the end of all this there was going to be a permanent indention from her walking back and forth on his carpet. She had been pacing now for probably a good three hours. She had woken up and Vic was gone. Just vanished. His scent the only thing that lingered to show her he hadnt left long ago. But that had been hours ago. At first she didnt worry about it. But then she started to get worried when there was no phone call and no telling where he was. He hadnt left her a note or anything. Normally he told her where he was going. And when he would be back. He knew knew she worried about him. Even as a werewolf, he could be killed much easier then her. There were only two things in the world that could kill her. For him, getting hit by a car could do it! Hell she was worried. But she trusted him. Three hours ago, once the sun started to set, she didnt know what to think. Had something happened?
Her first reaction was to call the bar and see if he had shown up for work. But no..he hadnt been there at all that day. That had made her worried. Calling the gym was her second guess at where he might be. But that came up blank as well. So she had taken up pacing in front of the window and biting her thumb, letting blood be drawn and licking it up. Another one of her nervous habits. Her normally pale cheeks looked a little more sunk in from stress and they were also red from crying. And the whites of her eyes were almost completely bloodshot. She was scared, worried and she didnt know which option to do. Now that the sun was down, she could go look for him. But if he appeared at home while she was gone, that would just cause more problems and confusion. But if she stayed here and he was hurt and needed help, she couldnt help him. What was the right thing to do in a situation like this?
Stopping partly in front of th window she looked out over the parking lot, hoping to get a glimpse of him maybe. But all that stared back at her was the cruel moon and the twinkling lights of the city in the distance. If she did go out after him, she would need to change into new clothes. She was in a pair of underwear and a large shirt at the current time. She had been to frazzled and worried to do anything but wonder where Vic was. Taking a deep breath she kept herself from falling into another crying fit. How ever, it didnt work. She fell to her knees and wrapped her arms around herself, leaning her head against the wall. "Come home...Please come home.." She whispered and started sobbing again. The only thing in her mind right now was his safety. She would do anything to protect him. And the thought that she didnt know what had become of him, scared her more then everything she had been through in her life combined.

He got out of the car, a little stressed. He breathed a heavy sigh, and looked at his hand. There was a small black box that held his grandmothers ring. Ali was probably scared and confused. He knew what he did was probably the worst part is it was eating him in the inside. What was going to drive him even more crazy would be the fact that he did all this behind her and with Sevanni Black. It was probably the dumbest idea of his entire life. It was hard for him to go to his house and face her. It was as if he sort of back stabbed her, going to that main person who caused her grief and misery in her life and allowing him to operate on him. Making him human… All this behind her back. It was a painful to see her, but at the same time, he had to see her. To know she was okay. Turned the knob and saw her crying on the floor. It tore him inside and he was ready to leave, but he did the exact opposite. He ran to her, getting down beside her, and held her. “Ali?! Are you okay?” He saw the tear stains on the shirt and the floor. It was hard on him. He didn’t want to hurt her and he really didn’t intend to make it this hard on her. He also know he is going to make her angry now. He is human and he probably has the scent of Sevanni on him. It would probably be the worst thing he ever did. Yet it was for her. Hopefully she sees this and doesn’t end up killing him. “Ali, are you okay?” he repeated. He was in pain to see her so hurt. I’m so sorry Ali. I really am. I’m sorry.

The tears continued to roll down her cheeks. She didnt know what to do. There really wasnt much she could do. He was out there somewhere and he was either all right or he was hurt. And if he was hurt...She would never forgive herself for just staying here and crying over everything. Suddenly, his scent wafted up to her and she blinked. It was slightly different...But she couldnt place what was different about it. And that was enough to make her mind wander. Did he not want her? Was the new part of his scent someone else's scent? No..he wouldnt do that to her. Would he? Unless all of this was a way of getting her out of there. She took one shuddery breath and when she heard the door open she stiffened, her whole body going rigid. But his arms wrapped around her tightly and he was asking her if she was okay. Her eyes lifted from the floor and then she flung herself at him and held him like he was her life line.
And in ways..he was her lifeline. She needed him. She needed him badly. She loved him and would never want him out of her life. Thinking of Stephan being dead when they were together had been painful. But thinking of Vic only leaving her or being gone from her side made her want to go find a match and trap herself in a burning building. She wouldnt know what to do. With her face closer to him though the strange newness to his scent hit her full blast. There was only a slightly different waft to it. It still smelt like apples and cinnamon to her but there was something missing and replaced with another scent. What was it? The new part smelt like sweat and clean soap. Something almost like what a human would smell like. Where was the slightly dog smell to him? Then it hit her full on. The dog smell..the human smell. Her head pulled back and she looked at him, her eyes going wide. No it wasnt possible!
But looking into his eyes she saw the humanly sheen to them. And how he seemed a bit more frail. The scent of his blood was much stronger to her. Mouth watering in fact. And that would only happen if he was human. "Your..." She whispered and wasnt able to finish her sentence. How did that happen? There was no possible way. "Your human....How are you human?" She asked him, her puzzlement on her face. Then another scent hit her. The one man she couldnt stand and the one that made her life hell. Reacting on instinct she let Vic go and flattened herself against the wall. "Sevanni!!" She said horrified. He had went to Sevanni! The only person in the whole world that could make this possible she realized. What had he done? And what deal had he made? Because Sevanni would never let him have something for nothing. All her hard work to make sure she kept Vic away from Sevanni's clutches...And he had went right to him.
Her fear and worry melted away and she felt a small anger and a new fright enter her mind. "How could you go to him!! What did you deal with him now!!" She yelled and then got up and grabbed a pillow, bunching it up in her fist, to make sure she didnt hurt him. Her eyes burned red. With a growl she tossed the pillow to where it hit the wall and burst apart, feathers going everywhere. She didnt know what to think. The different emotions flitted across her face and in her mind. Truly..she wasnt mad at him. More mad at herself for not protecting him.

He didn’t know what just happened. It was strange and frightening, especially since he couldn’t do anything to stop her. He could die just trying to stop her. He went towards a table near her and placed his copy of the contract on the table. He knew she would know what the paper says. It was risky and stupid to go to Sevanni Black, but he wanted to be a vampire so he could spend all of their lives together without fear. “I’m sorry…” Even though he knew this was going to be her reaction, and although he knew, he couldn’t help but feel sad. He hid his emotions from his face as he always does, but it was a little harder as a human. He went to get a glass of water. It was a rough day, and the soreness his body was going through right now was a little too much for him right now, especially since his mind and heart were about to snap. He hated to see her in such pain and anger. He knew what he did was wrong, but hopefully she can learn to look past it and maybe even accept the offer he was about to spring on her. His thoughts were abruptly suspended as he heard a bursting of cloth, and saw a plethora of feathers in the air. He didn’t know how he was going to spring the news to Ali. It was going to be hard in her state of mind right now. He decided to do a subtle approach. He grabbed a piece of paper and wrote will you marry me on one side and Will you turn me on the other side. He placed the small and torn piece of paper on the inside of the top cover so when she opens the box, she reads the will you marry part. ’Only my luck will make this backfire.’

Ali heard a rustle of paper being placed down on the table that was close to her. Automatically her eyes drifted to the paper. At the end of the paper she could see the signed names. Her vampire sight made it possible to where she could read the whole thing from where she was standing. He left the room and she went over to the table after busting the pillow. There were a few feathers in her hair and sticking to her clothes and she didnt care. Picking up the paper she read the deal for the second time. At least it had nothing to do with slavery and such. She could still feel the phantom weight of the collar Sevanni once had around her slender neck. And the little bell to go with it. She had felt so...small and like she was nothing more then a household pet. But she had done it to protect Rose. To protect her friend. Now that deal was null and void...But..She would always protect those she loves. Even Vic.
Closing her eyes she took in a deep breath. Knowing he was safe was making this easier to handle. And she knew he had done this for some reason. But what reason did he want to be human for? Placing the paper back down on the table she went into the kitchen where he was. A glass of water was on the counter and he had his back turned to her. But she went up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist, her head leaning against his back. She loved him more then anything else in the world. His protection was all that mattered to her. "Im sorry...I was just scared. You seemed to have just vanished...Poof. And there was nothing to tell me where you were. That you were okay. And that I didnt need to worry. And then you come home finally..and your...Human. And to become human you made a deal with the one man that has made my life hell." She shook her head slightly, burying her face in his clothes.
"I love you. And I cant stay mad at you. I know there is probably a reason for this. And Ill let you tell me. Im calm now..I promise. I just had to let it sink in." She told him and then looked up at him even though she was behind him. He was taller then her like most people but he was the perfect height for her to wrap her arms around him. And she also took a silent prayer. She would never let Sevanni hurt him. Even if Psi became useless to Sev, he would have to go through Ali first before he could lay a hand on Vic.

The box in his hand, he was scared. He was sitting there drinking his water. He was confused. He still loved her, but he wasn’t sure if she still loved him. He saw the way she reacted, and it was probably for the best she never spoke to him again. Yeah… It’s for the best… He sighed and took one more sip from his water, still contemplating leaving. This was starting to turn into the worst day of his life. He did the worst thing he could ever do. Hurt the one he dedicated himself to. If he wasn’t sane, he probably would commit suicide right now. He felt her arms wrap around his waist. "I’m sorry... I was just scared. You seemed to have just vanished... Poof. And there was nothing to tell me where you were. That you were okay. And that I didn’t need to worry. And then you come home finally..and your... Human. And to become human you made a deal with the one man that has made my life hell... I love you. And I can’t stay mad at you. I know there is probably a reason for this. And I’ll let you tell me. I’m calm now... I promise. I just had to let it sink in." He didn’t know what to say, so he pulled her hands apart so he could turn around and face her. He grabbed her and kissed her like there was no tomorrow. He then broke the kiss, getting on one knee, opening the box and making it face her in such a way that she could read the “Will you marry me” Sign. He was waiting for a response… if yes, he would have to ask her the hardest question of her life. If no, he wasn’t going to burden her with it. There was no point if she said no…

All through her explanation he hadnt said a single thing. Not a single word. And she didnt know if that was a good sign or it was a very very bad sign. She was a little afraid it was the second one. Vic was her life, her meaning to live and her air to breathe. Without him, she would suffocate and there would be no real reason to stay on this earth. She wouldnt want to be on this earth. Meeting him so long ago at that gym felt like a distant memory now. But she would never forget it. Never forget watching him fight, hearing his voice for the first time. Had she ever told him what had been going through her mind at that very moment when she had met him? That all she wanted to do was pull him close and kiss him? That his very voice was enough to turn her on. It was like a wolf when the female was in heat. An undeniable need for the other being. It was like mates with the werewolves. She was instantly drawn to him.
So without him, where would she go? No where. That as the answer. And so she prayed with everything in her body that he wasnt mad at her. That he wasnt planning on leaving her. That he hadnt already planned on leaving her. The deal, the contract, the silence...Was this all a little plan to get rid of her? She hoped not. If that was the case though..she would get up and leave. Let him be happy. Her life would be over though. When she felt his hands on hers she stiffened slightly, but let him pull them apart from his waist. This was it. This was where he was going to tell her it was over. That he didnt want her anymore and she needed to get out. Those words never came though because he turned to face her and then took her face in his hands gently and kissed her like he had never done before. It was a kiss that took the very breath out of her system. Made her weak in the knees. A kiss of love.
The kiss was enough to convince her that he loved her. That he truly loved her. And that she didnt need to worry. He wouldnt kiss someone he was about to break up with like that. Would he? But before she could speak up, he took a small step back and then got down on one knee. Her dark brown eyes widened and she was speechless as she watched him open up a little black box with a ring in it and the note reading 'will you marry me?' It was romantic to her. Yes they were having a rough time, but she had never dreamed in her wildest fantasies that one day she would love someone let alone get married. Her breathing came back though and she beamed down at him. He really didnt need to ask. He should know the answer. She tackle hugged him, making sure to be gentle and kissed him softly, lovingly. "Of course Ill marry you." She whispered and touched his cheek gently with her cold hand. Who ever would have though that Alianne Rose Shadings would be engaged to one of the most gorgeous men in the world.

The hug came and so did his answer. Yes. And now he had to do something he thought he would never do in his entire life. He took the paper and turned it around, giving it to her. He knew the words “Will You Turn Me” would shock her more than anything. It was a stupid and reckless thing to do… but he wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of his life with her. But there wasn’t any way to break the news without some sort of pain.
He didn’t want to lose her. Mainly because she is and forever will be the one he wants to spend eternity with. She is the sun in his life, and she is the stars in his universe. Everything about her just says perfection to him. Even with her flaws, he can’t see her less than perfect, and he can’t see himself anywhere than next to her. She makes life simpler and problem free. It is something magical and extraordinary. Something he doesn’t want to see slip through his fingers like sand in the hands of a little child on the beach. She could change his mood like that. She could ask him to the most ridiculous tasks, and he would do them. She was the center of his world, and without her, there was no need to continue following the path of life… because he would hit a dead end.
Life would have no meaning to it, and continuing it would seem pointless. Victor has never regretted anything in his life, and even to this point, he never regretted anything… other than hurting Ali. It was the single worst moment of his life.
He observed her, analyzing every expression and every moment of hers. He wanted to know if she was going to be okay.

She figured at this point he would say something. Anything at all. But no, he was still as silent as ever. Almost like he was mute. He had spoken up when he came in through the doors a few minutes ago and so she knew he wasnt mute or hadnt lost his voice. But why wasnt he saying anything? He was starting to worry her. Was he not happy? Was he only purposing to her because he thought he had to? That wasnt the case at all. All she wanted was him. It didnt matter if they never got married as long as he stayed by her side. As long as he wanted her. She touched his cheek softly and she was going to ask him to say something when he pulled the paper out and handed it to her. There were words on the back side of the little ripped sheet. 'Will you turn me?' Her eyes widened only slightly. She glanced at Vic and could see thats why he was being so quiet. He was probably deathly afraid of her at the moment.
That she would snap at any moment was probably what was runnign through his mind. But she was rather calm. She swallowed, looking at the little paper. He wouldnt be asking if he wasnt so sure he wanted this. He had done this for her. She could see that now. She could sense it. All of this for her. Man did she love him. But did he really have any idea what it would be like to be changed? Even now she could remember hers. Walking to go meet up with some friends...being followed and then cornered into an alleyway. Being attacked, drained and left for dead. Well..not completely dead. The vampire had cut his wrist instead and fed her his blood and since her body had been so deprived of it...She had sucked it down greedily. Not knowing what she would become. If her fifteen year old self would have known, she would have spat the blood back out and let herself die right there on the cold concrete.
Being changed was one her worst memories. She had many bad ones but also many good ones. If she would have died that night, she never would have met Vic. Through all this she hadnt realized that she had closed her eyes. Opening them back up she looked at him and studied his face. He was so handsome and she was a bit selfish in the fact that she wanted to keep him with her for all eternity. Being a vampire was one way to do it. "All right....Ill turn you. Im warning now though...It wont be pleasant. It will be extremely painful." She placed the little paper on the ground and then took his hand. "When would you like to be turned?"

And just like that… Time stopped.
When to be changed? When?
Was it really that hard to think of a time to be changed? It was a simple question. When? When?
The word continued to echo in his head. It was simple, yet complicated. It could be any day, but when would be the easiest. When would be the moment that wouldn’t shatter his world and hers? It was a huge step, and probably one of the most important steps he would have to take.
When? When?
After the wedding? If it was after the wedding, the honey moon could be ruined. That’s three days of doing nothing but watching him sleep and worry when it should be a time to celebrate and be happy. Besides, the blood thirst could and probably would ruin the mood, her having to keep him on a short leash wouldn’t exactly be the ideal way to spend a honey moon. It just wouldn’t be that enjoyable, for her, and that would probably make it all end in disaster. No… after the wedding would be a terrible idea. It just has too many negatives in it… Not to mention that her cousin Rose wouldn’t be too keen to see him human and marrying her.
When? When?
After the honeymoon? If it was after the honeymoon, then there would be no point in even having a honeymoon. Coming back happy and then ruin all that good time by making her change him. Again, it would lead her to worry and probably just end in having everything just go downhill. Not to mention, knowing Ali, she probably wouldn’t to touch him while he is human. She would be too afraid to touch him due to her super strength. And again, it would lead to problems…
When? When?
Before both? No major downfalls. Three days of him changing, but the wedding and honey moon would go more smoothly. That and it gives him a chance to learn to control his powers and his thirst. It works better than the other options… So when to be changed? When?
He looked at her and gave her his answer. “Now.”

“Now.”
She had watched him contemplate her question. Figure out when he wanted to be changed. She had been nervous to ask that question. When his life would end. When his heart would stop. When she would be the one to kill him. Because thats truly what it was. Death. Being turned was just another form of death. It was an after death. Living dead. But to become this you had to die in every form you could think. The heart would stop, the lungs wouldnt pull in air anymore and his tanned skin would be paler then fresh snow. Like her. And his eyes would be a deep red for a few weeks before he could control the bloodlust. And she would give him a choice. Because there was always a choice for this sort of life. He could hunt animals, humans, or just go to blood banks. She did the last two. Hunting humans and blood banks. She hated herself for the hunting, but maybe it was in her blood. An inherited trait from her sire. He sure loved killing from what she could tell.
When he said that one word though she glanced back at him. His eyes held a definite answer. He wasnt backing out on this. And so she nodded gently. "All right. Ill change you then." She told him. Taking his hand gently she got them off the kitchen floor and then led him back through the apartment. She passed her room and went to his. He would be more comfortable on a bed and waking up in a familiar spot and place. Unlike her who had woken up in an alley. It had been horrible and frightening. Not to mention she had been raped not long after that. She hadnt known her strength. So she didnt fight them with all her might. But those people had paid for what they did to her. Long ago. But she just wanted him to be comfortable. It was going to be horrible to watch him writhe in agony going through the three day change. How no one noticed the fifteen year old girl in the alley..she would never know.
Reaching his room she sat him down on the bed gently and kissed his knuckles, her eyes closed. "Okay....This is going to be painful. Im going to have to drain you within an inch of death. Then you have to drink my blood. That will start the change. Three days from now..You'll be like me...You might not remember much..and you might remember everything. It just depends." She told him. "When you wake up...Ill be here." She then pushed him back on to the bed so she was above him. Tilting his neck to the side so his artery was visible she took a deep breath. Here we go. This was it. She was doing the one thing she never wanted to do to someone. But she was going to do it now. With that, she let her fangs pierce his skin. Just in case the pain started earlier she had straddled his waist and was prepared to hold him down. But when she was done..she wasnt going to leave his side.
His blood flowed into her mouth and it was the sweetest thing she had ever tasted. It would help her drain him. Even though she was horrified with herself. The blood just kept coming and coming. She hadnt drained someone in a long time and she always forgot how much blood was in a humans body. But she felt his heart rate increase, trying to make up for the blood that was missing. It wouldnt win this battle though. Not by a long shot. Within five minutes she felt his body cool under hers and she knew he barely had enough blood in him to live. Pulling her fangs out quickly from his neck she bit into her own wrist and then brought it to his lips. "Drink it." She told him and then swallowed softly as she felt the small tug as he drank her own blood. The blood that would change him. When he had enough and she felt his heart triple time because his body was starting to fail, she got off of him and rolled off the bed and took his hand. She knelt down by the side and kept a hold on his hand and laid her head on the bed. "Im sorry." Now it was time to wait for three days time.

It was hard. The pain was getting to him. Soon it started to cloud his mind. He wanted to struggle and move away from the pain. He wanted to get away. Far away. Just make the pain stop! Whatever he did, he won’t do it again. He started vision started to fade. What did he do? What was going on?! He tried to yell, but nothing came out. He could feel his body get colder, and he could barley move. And he could feel… dry and empty… He reached out… or did he? He reached out for something… Anything… Something to ease the pain and this feeling of emptiness… And then… It hit him… The warm liquid that went through him… It didn’t help… but he wanted more… More… MORE!!! And once it stopped flowing… his body started to weaken again… And everything just went black….
He emerged in a field… It was snowing… Yet the snow wasn’t white… It was dark red. It wasn’t normal snow… It felt colder… Sickeningly colder… As if Snow Could Bleed and Die… He himself could feel the cold affect him. He needed to get out of the cold… Get out of the snow… He walked… walked… walked… and it came in site… The cabin… Full of life and lights. Sounds of joy came from the cabin. Silhouettes in the windows beckoned to him. As he walked towards the house, he could feel the warmth… He reached for the door knob and turned the door… and when he entered… Nothing was there… It is as if the place changed right before his eyes. Nothing was in there. No lights. No people. No sounds. Nothing… Except the cold and dark. Skeletons rested on the floor… He walked in, hoping for something… Anything… And he walked past a mirror… but his peripheral vision saw something else… He looked into the mirror, but saw death… The Dark Hood… The Scythe… The Skeleton Figure… It was almost impossible to not recognize it. As he moved, Death copied… Finally, Victor reached towards the mirror, moving closer to it… And then it happened…. Death reached to his throat, started choking him… coming out of the mirror…
”Arise!”
Three days later
He sprang out of the bed gasping… Holding his neck… “Where am I?”

For three days Ali was like a faithful little lap dog. She refused to leave his side unless it was necessary. And there was barely anything that was necessary in her opinion. He was all that mattered. She would do anything to have him be okay and watching him on that bed writhing in pain was not something that was helping her conscious. She was smacking herself and saying how stupid she was. How could she do this to him? But it was to late now. He was going to be a vampire. Like her. Which reminded her that on that first day she had left the window blinds open. The first little peeks of sunlight had come in and she rushed through the house closing ever single blind and drape. And it wasnt even for her own safety. It was for his. He would start to be sensitive to the sun by now and she didnt want him to burn. She wasnt going to let anything happen to him. As she promised him, she was going to be there when he woke up.
By the end of the second day though she was tired and hungry and downright a mess. Her hair was frizzy and tangled from not being brushed and her eyes were red from needing blood. Not even his had helped her. It just made her want it more. But she refrained and just let her body knock itself out. Falling into dreamlike sleep. And she knew it was a dream because she was outside. The sunlight kissing her skin. And it wasnt burning her. How she wished this was true. She missed the daylight. The warmth and the sights. Everything was always more vibrant in the daylight hours. But she was stuck with the night. Stuck with shadows and things that could want to give you harm. Things that went bump in the night. And her kind were among some of the nasty creatures in the world. As the dream continued it darkened to where the sky was black as night and thunder crashed in the sky.
A figure appeared, a woman actually and she chuckled at Ali. She had long blonde hair and the same dark brown eyes as Ali. In fact, she almost looked like Ali. And then it hit her. This was her other side. The girl was dressed in all black and when the realization hit the other Ali's eyes turned red. Redder then crimson. Her grinned turned evil and she laughed. "You really think you can get rid of me Ali? I am you. Now go on. Go back to your little creation. See what monster you have made." And all Ali could do was stare at the vampire half of her. The part that she hated. That she could blame her sire for. The scene started to fade and blur and she startled awake when she felt a shift in the bed and Vic yell out. Her alert senses started up and she quickly determined there was nothing dangerous. She had been curled up on the floor next to his bed and so she sat up, remaining on the floor.
"Vic? You okay?" She asked him wearily. He didnt look much different, but to her it was a huge change. He no longer gave off that warm smell. He smelt just like any other vampire, cold, death. But he still had a touch of living clinging to him. In his hair, on his clothes, in the crease of his elbow. His eyes were ten times brighter and more predatory with the red color. But that just made them all the more beautiful. His skin was no longer tanned and pale as fresh snow. The kind that hasnt been touched and jumped in. And she knew if she were to pull back his lips slightly there would be two gleaming fangs. His hair was styled perfectly even though he had just woken up. Welcome to the perfect life of a vampire. She knew he wouldnt have a hard time hunting. His prey would come to him practically. All he would have to do was beckon. And she was ashamed to say it would probably work on her to.

He heard a voice... It was familiar… Yet he couldn’t remember whose voice it was.
He looked and there she was… an angel… A familiar one…. Yet again, who was she?
“Where am I? Am I dead? Am I in Heaven? More importantly, who am I?” He asked… his voice a little weak… he couldn’t remember anything. Who was he?
She called him Vic, but was that his real name…
He was lost in this world, nowhere, yet it seemed like somewhere. This person seemed to know who he was. He was greatly attracted to her, but he has no recollection of ever meeting her. Something about her just showed that he should trust her. He reached out for her hand… the softness of it was so familiar. He remembered the feeling of the skin. The way it use to touch his cheek. The feeling of that skin as it was around his neck.
They were close, he knew that now…
He looked at her, and he could see her face. It was filled with worry, but a slight bit of relief. Was it toward him?
He cut her mid-speech and put a hand on her cheek, like she has for him so many times ago, and asked, “Are you okay? What’s wrong? You look… upset?”
Something about her called out to him. Something that he wanted to reply with Love Me.
“I can see it in your eyes… Something is making you sad… Upset… and… Angry… But you are angry with… part of yourself?”
He knew all this stuff, yet he didn’t know how he did… Did he know her more than he expected?
“Talk to me… I’m here for you…” He then sat on the floor next to her and pulled her against him. He wanted her comforted. Regardless if he didn’t know who he was, he wanted to make sure she was alright before he figured anything out… and yet at the same time, this seemed very familiar.
Stephan? This happened when Stephan died… he comforted her… but… Ali ran to the airport…
ALI! That’s who she is! She is his finance! He looked at her finger and there it was… his grandmothers ring…
But who was he? Vic?
This was going to be harder than he thought… Nothing about him came back, but she was clearer in his mind than a new glass window.
Ali…Alianne Rose Shadings… It all was there in his mind… yet who was he?
As he was pondering on the mysteries of his identity, he continued to listen to Ali.

Ali held her breath as she watched him turn towards her after she had spoken up. She didnt know what to expect. Would he remember anything? Would he even know what had happened? She had been lucky enough, or maybe unlucky enough to remember the whole thing. It had made her realize she had been turned into something dark and dangerous. But just gazing into his red eyes, she could see confusion there. He didnt know what was going on. And before she could speak up again he started to ask questions. Questions that had some easy answers, and some..not so easy answers. The first few she could answer easily. He wasnt dead in a sense, more like the undead...And he wasnt in Heaven. This was more like hell if you asked her. But he didnt know who he was. How was she ever going to answer him that question. You couldnt tell someone who they were before. Its something they had to know themselves. She could tell him the basics.
She took a small breath in, looking at the floor and messing with the edge of her shirt lightly. She was nervous and sad, and angry and everything else. But she kept herself calm. Looking back up at him she started with his first question. "Technically..you are dead. But its more like...the undead. You're a vampire. Not a human being with a living breathing body. A vampire that is living, but yet dead. The second question is easy...Your not in Heaven...Because your not fully dead. And this is still earth. Trust me..if it was heaven...I wouldnt be here. Someone like me wouldnt be in Heaven. Not after wh-" But she was cut off midway through her sentence as he placed his hand on her cheek. The soft skin was so familiar and she found herself leaning into his touch. Craving more. What had she done to him? His skin was no longer the warm that she normally felt from him, it was the same as hers. So it felt room temperature.
His words made her shut her eyes and try not to cry. He was concerned about her even if he didnt know who he was and who she was. He still cared. And broke her heart. How could she have made him into a monster? The person she loved more then anything in this world. But he could see right through her. He could see she was upset, relieved, angry with herself. Never before had anyone ever been able to read her so easily. Just like she knew him. They had been best friends before lovers. Before engaged. And through all that time, she only wanted him. She knew that. It would have broken her heart to loose him. Especially to watch him die someday. So she was arguing the pros and cons of this. But of course, the cons were winning. When he got down and sat next to her she let the tears flow and she buried her face into his shirt. "Im so sorry. Im sorry Vic." She told him and clenched her teeth to keep from sobbing.
The crying took up maybe five minutes and then she stopped and pulled away slightly, wiping the tears away. She touched his cheek gently with her hand and sighed. "The answering on who you are, I cant tell you everything. I can only tell you basics. Try and help you remember." With that she took his hand in her and kissed his fingertips. "Your name is Victor Morte Ambrose. You live here in this apartment, and your twenty three years old. You own a bar a few blocks away. You met me, Ali, a few years ago at a gym. Your an excellent fighter. Also an excellent guitar player. You and I sometimes play together. You on the guitar and me on the piano. You used to be a werewolf. You were for a year I think. You made a deal with Sevanni Black to become human...and you asked me to change you. And now your a vampire." She told him softly, watching his face for reactions.
